Usually they do an ok job. Tonight went in for 2 food items. 1. Took too long with it being dead and 4 employees. They had one guy doing the food which I guess was the reason the food was taking long but while he is out here doing the food, you can clearly hear the girls in the back screaming and laughing. Arrived for the Grand Opening and there was quite the crowd. The original solicitation had the first 50 customers get a free smoothie once a week for 52 weeks. However, when I showed up I was not even close. It was great. I ordered the Triple Berry Oat smoothie and Southwest wrap. Can't complain. Their prices are reasonable as well and their service was surprisingly quick despite the abnormally large crowd. They also have a rewards program and app that offers points to discount your purchases beginning with $5 off after every $55 spent. As a native Californian I will admit I am bias to Jamba Juice. I grew up drinking their smoothies and menu so I am use to having more options with variety of flavors. With that being said, I do appreciate El Paso having a smoothie spot. My go to smoothie is the sunrise sunset. It is refreshing and delicious with the fruit combination especially with the Sun City heat. I will say although Jamba Juice has made it's way to town there is one advantage I do give towards Tropical Smoothie Cafe that they have over Jamba Juice; Their wraps! Jamba Juice has açaí bowls and pretzels which I love but I love a good fulfilling wrap on the go too! The wraps are so convenient for lunch on the go especially when you are battling the heat with travel or crunch on time with eating. Tropical Cafe serves plant-based substitute chicken for their wraps! If you love Asian salads I highly recommend their Thai Chicken Wrap! They use beyond meat chicken as the plant-based substitute which is great because I try to limit my gluten intake and beyond meat is gluten free! The peanut Thai dressing ties in wonderfully with the carrots, green onions, wonton bits, Romain lettuce, and sesame seeds. The crunch and freshness with the Asian dressing with the "chicken" chunk pieces really makes the wrap a light but fulfilling textured tasteful wrap. My other go to wrap is the hummus veggie! This wrap does not require you to substitute meat but requires you to ask for them to eliminate the cheese and ranch. The hummus veggie wrap is also fulfilling with hummus, smashed avocado, romaine, rice, black beans, pickled red onions, and tomatoes. A classic wrap for a vegan to enjoy on the go! This is usually the ingredients I use for homemade wraps so I appreciate this wholesome option too! Other than that I feel the selection of smoothies are pretty basic. Which is why I deducted one star. There is not one that I have tried that really gave me a wow factor to omit making one at home myself. The other deducted star is the customer service. It is mostly a miss here. I have been there during rush hour at peak lunch times and when it was slow to where it's just one or two other customers. When it's busy there is not a good system as to whose not only calling out orders but separating the online orders from the orders made in store. Also, many times whoever is calling out orders is like hesitant to where it's out their comfort zone or is not clear as far as rushing to just yell it out to get it over with. I have had some employees greet genuinely like they actually like their job, but for the most part the general customer service definitely needs work. Other than that, I definitely recommend this as a to go option for vegan friendly wraps for lunch. Placed a order pick up went in stood by the order pick up section with about 10 other people, staff of about 6 behind counter doing their thing. Waited and waited, someone else went to the front and said they had a order they've been waiting for, the girl looks behind her and gets her order form behind the counter that's been sitting there for who knows how long. Followed suit and asked about my order, same situation, I asked why they aren't putting the orders in the pick up section, girl was rude and told me "if you can't see sir were busy" no F***ing sh*t your busy you have 10 people hovering in the lobby and all their orders are behind the counter without anyone telling them. If there too busy to walk a drink to a cubby that their company provided as a pick up section then take that section out and just have everyone go to the cashier. I don't mind that there busy I get it, just don't have 6 employees doing whatever and not acknowledging all the customers standing around, or not even honoring their own pick up system. read more

I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe! Their smoothies are delicious & healthy, with many different options to choose from, along with "superfood " options & "add-ins" as well. Today is my first time trying their lunch (Caribbean jerk chicken wrap & apple kale salad). The wrap was good but honestly the jerk sauce was a little too spicy, it kind of overpowered the rest of the wrap. The apple kale salad was pretty good as well. It has a good ranch and spicy flavor to it. I also ordered a cranberry with strawberry smoothie. It was alright but not that sweet. I was thinking of ordering the pumpkin pie smoothie but ordered this one instead. The reason I give it four stars is because it's pricy and not that much food. The servings are a good portion but still too pricy. The employees are always nice but I don't like to be rushed when I'm looking at the menu and trying to order. I felt rushed to make a selection. Delivery is ridiculously disorganized. Took around 2 hours to receive food due to errors with doordash and store management. First they messed up the order and only sent smoothies (no straws at that; I looked like a fool using a spoon to eat my smoothie). When I call to ask they bluntly said my food was "sitting there and waiting to be picked up". Ended up getting charged twice, and after being promised a refund I still see a charge on my card so I had to contact my bank regarding the matter. The store employees seem really nice despite having a manager that shows little interest in resolving situations that could be easily avoided. I gave this location a second chance and didn't fail to disappoint again. The person who took my order messed up and brought 2 different drinks, when I told the girl making my drinks she only made one drink when she clearly saw it was 2 drinks that needed to be replaced. She rolled her eyes when I told her that. The replacements were watered down and disgusting I tossed them! The girl proceeded to talk to her co worker and look at me. This isn't the first time workers are disrespectful toward customers & laughing at them. Employees too busy laughing and playing around. I've NEVER had any issues at Zaragoza location but this place is trash. If you want this place to thrive you need to fire all these incompetent and rude employees and hire people that actually want to work. I used to love coming to tropical smoothie almost everyday every morning before I went into work. Until one day they messed up my order for the first time, I was cool with it at first until the next day again they messed up my order again & I let it slide again & I still kept coming until one Saturday morning I ordered 2 smoothies for me & my boyfriend, he was drinking a kiwi quencher & he was taking stuff out of his mouth & I though I was the only one getting stuff in my mouth & I opened up the drink & it had a blended up scrub in my drink , with a thick pieces of blue stuff & big chunks of lint & I called to let them know & the manager was being nice & gave me a replacement order for the next time I come, so I came in the next day again in the morning to pick up the smoothies & my smoothie was carelessly made with big chunks of ice, peanut butter & banana to the point were I couldn't even drink my smoothie... like really? You're going to make my smoothie shitty cause it was "free" I could've pay for it but I took the chance from all the times they messed up, they need to keep check on their employees because they be really messing up & checking blenders before they make someone's smoothie. I used to be a loyal tropical smoothie customer and would go almost everyday but this location no longer deserves my business. Their pricing is so inconsistent, I order the same smoothie every time I go I always get charged a different price so I spoke to the manager about this and he said that its because the way I make my order??? Tropical smoothie is one of my favorite places to go. I always get the Sunrise Sunset smoothie and the Paradise Point Smoothie. However when I last got the Sunrise Sunset (yesterday) I was greatly disappointed because it did not have any strawberries. Usually it should be a pink or red ish color, however this color was completely wrong because it was a sunshine yellow. And don't even get me started on how it tasted. This smoothie was not only the wrong color but the flavor of it was also extremely sour and overall tasted nothing like before. I am so upset.
