Super "cute" restaurant that makes a pretty mean charcuterie setup!…read more Attended a private Galentines event here. The food spread was delicious and super fresh. From berry salad to crispy toasties topped with cheeses, meats, and jams that paired perfectly. Huge spread of crackers and cheese. We had bottomless mimosas to accompany all our above yum! Service was above and beyond always checking on our large group of women making sure we had plenty of bubblies to go around. Definitely hope to return again maybe with a smaller scale group to check out more of their food options.

By far, my favorite thing about this place is that it's very unique, especially to the area, where Tex-Mex and BBQ dominate the restaurant scene. And don't get me wrong, I love Tex-Mex and BBQ, but it's nice to shake things up. We ordered the Pretzel and Queso as an appetizer. It was a solid 4-stars. I like pretzel bread. I like queso. Would I prefer chips with my queso? Yes. But again, this was a nice change. And for the rest of our food, we shared 6 toasties... My favorite two were the Fig & Pig and the Caprese. The Bourdain, Apple and Cheddar and the C'est Si Bon were fine -- not bad, but nothing special. And then there was the Berry and Balasamic. Here's the thing: it is not fair for me to comment on this. I despise goat cheese more than any other edible item on the planet. My wife wanted to try it, so we ordered it and she enjoyed it. She *insisted* that you couldn't even taste the goat cheese, and convinced me to take a bite. Unfortunately, I absolutely could taste the goat cheese. (I always can). If you are adverse to it like me, do not take this risk. But for everyone else, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

It absolutely was. The food and service were outstanding. They were out of doner when we arrived, but honestly, everything else we tried more than made up for it. Within about 10 minutes, the restaurant was pretty packed, so we clearly just arrived at the perfect time. We started with a bread basket served with fresh breads and an incredible tomato oil--simple, bold, and completely addictive. We had falafel with a creamy sauce (possibly yogurt or garlic-based) and stuffed grape leaves with olive oil, both beautifully done. Every dish came with fresh lettuce, lemon, thinly sliced onions that had clearly been soaked to remove the harsh bite, and a bright pickled cabbage that tied everything together perfectly. We also had lahmacun, which was deeply flavorful and incredibly satisfying. We were treated to complimentary Turkish tea and a meatless dish on the house, and I have to say--if you don't eat meat, you are not missing out on flavor at all. I grew up a meat eater, so I was genuinely surprised by how rich and delicious it was. I only wish I remembered the name so I could order it again. And then dessert... kunefe. Crispy shredded pastry, warm cheese, pistachios--easily one of the top 10 dishes I've ever eaten in my life. I usually hate mint in food, but two of the dishes included it and completely changed my mind--fresh, balanced, and done right. This place is a true hidden gem and one of my favorite dining experiences. I will absolutely be back, even if it's out of the way. Highly recommend.

I drooled over the beauty of the water pitcher. They sold some of their Turkish coffee cups and tea cups along with other goods. It is located in a case up front. Service was top notch. Our waitress was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Let's get onto the food. It was all delicious very authentic. They were out of the chicken shish kebabs so I opted for the salmon. The salmon was flavored well, and I love the taste of the mild chard grill. My mother enjoyed her beef tenderloin kabobs. Another satisfying dish. The tea tray was so cute! The tea really hit the spot after the meal Another family came while we were there. They sat and enjoyed great food. They heard from a neighborhood Facebook group that this was a place to try because it was so good. They loved it! (We had a side conversation with them)

Tonight, 3/5/26, we revisited The Red Brick Tavern, in Conroe for dinner…read more We walked in to some local talent on stage belting out song after song. At some point, we lost count on the songs, as one blended into another and each sounded just like the one before it. Hey, it was Thursday and he was a local putting himself out there for us to listen to. It's nice to have live entertainment during dinner and the background music was just background enough. Our seats were near the bar at the high top tables that gave a commanding view of the stage and bar area. The place was crowded for a Thursday night, filled with regulars enjoying the food and ambiance this century old building exudes in spades. Much like the breakfast menu we enjoyed a few weeks ago, our meals were almost identical. We both enjoyed the Reuben sandwich for our dinner. I personally wished it had more kraut, but the corned beef was tender and flavorful. I had added the sweet potato fried and we shared the cheesy fries as an appetizer. Cheesy fries do not do it justice. They were coated with more than enough cheese, accented with chopped onions and other herbs that added flavor and texture. Our waitress was wonderful and explained anything we had a question about during our meal order. I had an amber beer with dinner that really accented the reuben nicely. All in all, the dinner service was as enjoyable as our venture in there for breakfast. The Red Brick Tavern has now become a place we will go to more often ... not only for the food, but for the ambiance. Ciao, Darrell
