Ironically, I used to love Blimpie's oven‑style toast before Subway even offered it. They do have a separate oven for melting cheese, and that part I absolutely recommend. The sandwich itself was very good and definitely in Subway territory. For $1.29 you can grab a self‑serve cookie--critical, because I can select the front‑row cookie with the maximum chip‑to‑dough ratio. Fresh daily, solid flavor, very Subway‑adjacent. But I still prefer Subway's footlong cookie. It's a personality trait at this point. Staff was extremely friendly. I'm pretty sure the owner was working the counter, unless a gentleman of his seniority just enjoys staying busy or needs the cash, which is increasingly common these days. Honestly, that personal touch is probably what gives this place an edge over Subway. Pepsi products here. Acceptable, but I'm a Coke person.
