Tucked away in the corner of the strip mall is a great spot to get your nails done. The staff here is always so polite and friendly. The salon it self is very clean and slightly quiet. A few televisions playing with the views of nature, background music that is very relaxing. I can typically walk in and get a chair, today was no different. After signing in and washing my hands a chair was waiting. Picked out my polish from one of three color books, turned on the massage, closed my eyes and relaxed. I had a very disappointing experience with a man working there. When he was preparing to polish my nails, I asked about the foot massage included in the service and he said he already did it, he had not, he had massage my calves for a couple of minutes, but not my feet. After I brought it up, he massaged my calves again for about a minute and the heel of my foot for less than a minute. I'm a special ed teacher and on my feet 8+ hours a day, the foot massage is the best/most needed part! The polish looks pretty though. read more

This nail salon is the absolute worst!!! They do not even deserve 1 star, no joke! I paid 77$ for a set of acrylics that I have lost two of already! I splurged on myself for my birthday. I called and they said to come in and they would fix them. OMG I went in and they had the audacity to tell me it would cost me 12$. I'm in shock and am sooooooo disgusted !! Almost gave it a 4 because myself and daughter had asked for same flower design and they didn't ask me how I wanted them and as they were doing it I didn't like how they did them. But at the end I was happy because I told them I didn't ask for that and that I had mentioned I wanted my flowers just like my daughters, the flowers weren't exactly the same but I was satisfied when they removed them and re-did them. read more

My aunt, mother in law, and I went in search of a nail place here in Tucson. We walked into one place and was immediately told "no" and turned away, so we came into Tropical Nails and we were welcomed warmly. ALL of the ladies who worked here were kind and professional. Monica was a friendly greeter, and I had Lisa fir my pedicure. Lisa did a fantastic job and she was fast in the process but took her time with the massage. I forgot the wonderful lady who did my manicure but she was quite skillful with the nail dip and went above and beyond to find the color I want. I HIGHLY recommend this business! read more

Terrible terrible customer service. I sat down with the slim male with sleeves and ask for this white holographic esque color. He says no they don't have it. I say ok is there a similar color he says no. I open the book on the second page is a similar color so I just ask to be serviced by another tech. Someone else sits there he becomes a social butterfly asking how are they and all kinds of questions which has me thinking hmm I wonder why he was so standoffish and rude towards me. (We can assume why). So I have the other tech do them who is the owner and she was nicer so I asked her name is his name because I was leaving a review. So she gives me her name and acts like she doesn't know his name and they're giggling and laughing about it in a different language. Sooooo weird. So now we are getting close to being finished she says my fill is 55$ and opposed to the 52$ she just quoted me ten seconds prior. So I'm the end she did get the exact color I wanted so I was pleased but it was just bad business. And tacky. read more

I come here often to get my nails done and every single time I go in, the older lady with short hair is always arguing with a customer about something. During my last visit she made a lady cry because she didn't wanna fix her broken nail instead she tried painting over it. The customer (who was also an older lady) was not having it and left crying because of how she treated her. It's disgusting to witness because it happens every single time I'm there. It makes everyone else around feel so uncomfortable including me. She clearly hates her job and it shows. She's very rude and condescending to everyone. She opens the salon, arrives late every time and comes in with a bad attitude! I know that because I get there 5 min before it opens. I had my first experience with her and the whole time she had a bad attitude and was talking shit with coworkers. Her energy says it all. She refused to do my nails because I told her I had to leave at a certain time. Meanwhile she's walking around the salon gossiping and working on other people toes and shit at the same time. Very unsanitary and unprofessional. Her day hadn't even started yet and she's already miserable. Like girl leave your personal problems at home, I will easily take my business elsewhere with that ugly ass attitude!!! Remember we as customers work hard for our money and chose to pay you not the other way around!!! read more

Originally Nails First, under new management. I came here from the airport, only in town for a few days. One of only nail salons in the area that offers SNS/Dip Powder. They had a wide selection of colors to choose from. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. I was able to walk right in and get taken care of. They did a great job on my SNS and also on my pedicure. I would highly recommend! If I lived in Tucson, I would be a repeat customer. They also offer other services like waxing/eyelash extensions/etc. read more

I went there I few months back (March/April) and they were able to fit me in which was great due to how busy it was. I asked for dip powder nails and no acrylics. The gentleman who did my nails did NOT listen to my request. He got upset when I asked if he can shorten my ACRYLIC nails more he grunted while barley trimming them. I noticed he would miss a finger or two when using the file machine and I when I brought it up he got got angry. He then did do the dip powder which was great but the colors looked awful. I thought I had a deep blue and one gold glittered nail and it ended up looking like a bright blue with one yellow. Since then I have found another nail salon that is 15 minutes away but worth the drive. read more
