While I…read morewas waiting for her to arrive, I took a look at the menu; it's definitely on the smaller side, unless they do daily specials (we came on a Sunday). Customer service was solid. The young lady taking our order was really nice and patient, which I appreciated since it was my first time trying Trinny food. I ordered the curry chicken with fried rice and potato salad, while my friend went for the stew chicken with roti. Honestly, my plate was just okay. The chicken was a little dry and not as full of flavor as I was hoping. Now, the potato salad? That was the star for me. I could've eaten a whole container of it--I really wish I had grabbed some to go. My friend, on the other hand, really enjoyed her meal and said it was good. The space itself is nice and clean, restrooms included, which I always notice. Overall, I'd give the experience an 8/10

I visited to place a takeout order of jollof rice and pepper goat soup. Pepper Goat soup can be spicy, but they did ask me me how spicy I wanted it. If you've never had goat soup I would compare it to oxtail soup. Oxtail are much larger pieces though. Goat is better, healthier and leaner than oxtail. It's also high in iron and low in saturated fats. This restaurant serves good quality food and friendly plus quick service. The pepper goat soup was delicious and meaty. For once, I've gotten a bowl of pepper goat soup that is mostly meat pieces versus gristle fatty parts. The soup and it's meat was seasoned perfectly. It was not too spicy at all to where I'd break a sweat just trying to eat it. It was definitely perfect. The jolloff rice was good and seasoned good too. I wil definitely be back for this meal. I'm so happy to have found authentic quality Nigerian food much closer to me in Katy. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for some good, quality healthy food with even lots of gluten free options.

I…read moregot the jollof rice with fried plantain and a drumstick, plus egusi soup with fufu and oxtail soup. The portions were generous, which I really appreciated. The jollof was spicy (in a good way!) but a bit flavorless, and the chicken was pretty dry. The soups were also on the bland side for me. That said, everyone's taste is different -- just because it wasn't for me doesn't mean others won't enjoy it. The staff was friendly, and I'm still glad I gave it a try. I'll definitely keep exploring more African/Caribbean spots!

Ok Rosenberg! This is the 3rd hidden gem in that area I've found recently…read more I did a door dash so I can't speak to the facility or service but the food is good! My go-to Jamaican dish is either brown stew chicken or curry chicken so I got both. They were both quite tasty but if I had to give one the edge I'd say the brown stew chicken. BUT we also got a goat curry & that was terrific goat. So so tender & flavorful. If you've been wanting to try goat, try this one! The rice & peas were definitely above average. I don't typically eat much of it but I did this one. The cabbage is shredded very thin. It's ok, it checks the box for having greenery on the plate. Ok plantain lovers this is some of the best I've had! It was cooked perfectly, sweet, caramelized & just yummy! No plantain comes with your meal so you need to get a side order. The side order is an ample amount. I'd come back for the plantain alone! Love having this on the southwest side of town. I definitely recommend checking them out! Next time I'll go in person so I can give a full experience review.

Listen!! These people have a gift and know how to use it!!…read more It was our first visit but I can tell you now, it will NOT be our last. We ordered the Rasta pasta with shrimp, curry goat with rice & beans and cabbage and the oxtail loaded fries. The quality of the food and the spices is top tier. I have food allergies and I can eat everything on the menu so I was too excited. The portions are more than enough and worth the price, particularly if you consider the quality. The flavors are perfectly paired and infused making the experience like heaven in your mouth. Shaan was so welcoming and gave suggestions. He was the only person on the floor and was handling each customer with care. We had a take out order but sat at the bar while we waited. The music is at a volume where you can groove and also have a conversation without screaming. I noticed an elevated area where maybe they have a DJ sometimes. The next time I visit I will eat inside just for the full service restaurant experience. This will definitely be a favorite spot for us.

Thank god we found this!…read more After finishing our lunch at Wrap & Roll, we saw this out of the corner of the eye and decided to stop here as the girlfriend was looking for some caribbean snacks. Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!

My first visit here, it's been on my list since the carribean spot near me in Richmond closed down…read more Food: Love, love the peppery/spicy seasoning on the curry chicken & cabbage. Gotta admit the spiciness had my tongue tingling & my nose running but it wasn't overpoweringly spicy. Btw. I didn't request spicy, that's just how it came. Cabbage and rice & peas were tasty, standard accompaniments. My hubby got the curry goat and it too was very tasty but what got my attention was how tender the goat was! To me, the goat seemed just a little less spicy so the chicken spice level may be just how they cooked the batch that day. Upon entering, I thought it was just a takeout place because I didn't see any tables or seating. While waiting on my food, I discovered a whole other large room with seating, full bar & stage! So takeout or dine-in is definitely an option. It's a little bit of a drive for me but I would definitely return.
