I'm so happy they opened another location in Tampa, which is way more convenient for me! I've been a fan of the St. Pete spot, and the Tampa location absolutely did not disappoint. You really can't beat their daily happy hour from 4-6pm: $1 oysters (must order min of 12), $5 tacos, and $5 bubbles and $10 cocktails? Yes, please. I always get the whipped feta (not on the happy hour menu, but totally worth it). The vibes are great, the staff is friendly, and best of all, it's dog friendly! Already looking forward to my next visit. What I ordered: - WHIPPED FETA DIP: cucumbers, roasted peppers, sunflower seeds, crispy tostadas - BUCK SHUCK RAW OYSTERS: Raw oysters on the halfshell, served with cocktail sauce and champagne cucumber mignonette. *12 oysters minimum per order - A LA CARTE CHICKEN TACO: Grilled chicken served with pico de gallo, crunch love lettuce, jolapeños, and roasted garlic lime and sriracha aiolis, on a garlic grilled flour tortilla - A LA CARTE FRIED SHRIMP TACO: Buttermilk fried shrimp served with pico de gallo, crunch love lettuce, jalopeños, and roasted garlic lime and sriracha alolis, on a garlic grilled flour tortilla.

Where else would you be able you still find $1 oysters everyday 4-6?! They have live music.you order from the bar and food comes out quite fast. The oysters taste pretty good (just be cautious of the tiny shell pieces still in the oysters) The shrimp tacos were actually good for $5 as well!

Awesome night at Trophy Fish last week. Wanted somewhere to go after Gasparilla that was different and wouldn't be a long wait. Trophy Fish is all open air, so it gives you a sense that you're on the beach or somewhere tropical!! Walked in and the manager greeted us and explained how it works. It's cafe style, so you pick a seat and just order your food at the bar, they will bring it out to you! We ended up eating at the bar and god some cocktails which were great. They had stone crab special so we did a half pound of that. Super good and served up with some old bay dusted on top! They rotate specials and fresh catch of the day so make sure to check the chalkboard when you walk in! For entree we had the mahi sandwich and the grouper day boat. Which you get to choose 2 sides and the fish of the day. We also got the seafood chowder which was made to order and so delicious. It was a bit on the pricey side, it was $29. Cool thing is their sister cocktail bar concept Mandarin Heights is connected. So we walked over there and hand another cocktail before leaving. Super fun time!!

Service and ambiance was quite peaceful and fun. The bartenders were great! The Aloe-ha is my go to drink! Their happy hour isn't too bad either! Definitely try them out!

Best seafood in the area and fantastic happy hour! Everything I've tried is flavorful, fresh, and good portions. The quality at this location is equal to the original one. I can't help it, I have to get their oysters. Their hushpuppies are a must. The shrimp tacos and catch of the day entrees are superb. You order your at the bar and staff is always cheerful and offering recommendations. You feel like you're 'somewhere else' with the tropical feel without a beach dive bar. Do yourself a favor and try it if you have not been or go back if it's been a while. You'll have to order the dessert and let me know how it is!

Worst time here. Super cool vibe. Delicious food. I had the shrimp poor boy and the chorizo corn with a couple different sauces. Incredibly fresh, delicious flavorful service was great. Wow! Can't wait to be back for happy hour

I enjoyed trophy fish it's an easy chill laid back Vibe. I had the butchers blend fish tacos, one was grouper the other was mahi. It was pretty good seasoning and flavor. The drink was pretty good, but I don't remember the name however, I snapped a picture of it below! It's a gin based drink.

I love the mezcal drinks here. Always a nice vibe with good bartenders. Tried the hush puppies, they were okay

This review is long over due. I decided to book a group outing for our office for some drinks and appetizers and boy I picked a cold day. I was worried but the managers assured me they would put out heaters. And I was not let down. It was warm and fun. Great place for drinks and food. The bar tender he kicks butt. The food. The ambiance and the cocktails are delicious. The pretzel is a must try

Great spot for food and hangout Service was also nice! Will come back! Didn't get a pic but smoked salmon burger I also got was great too! That's for the food! As far as the sitting goes... outdoor sofas are nice BUT I'd clean those cushions often- hoping the management sees this

The ambiance is good but that's about it. I do love the concept and design of this Trophy Fish location, however, the food did not live up to my expectations when we visited on 10/15. If anything I would say go for a beer and chill outdoor vibes... that's it. It's an order at the counter kind of restaurant which I can totally understand but what I can't understand is a "self-service" restaurant with outrageous prices and this low quality of food. Food- We ordered a dozen oysters that were on special for $1 each. They were very very bad oysters... I only had 2. They didn't look visually appealing, were fishy, and had pieces of shell in them. The blackened mahi mahi was a small portion and the side pineapple cabbage slaw just tasted unfresh and like it had been sitting for a while. My boyfriend had the smoked shrimp burger and he did not enjoy it. The food did not justify the price. Drink- I also had the salty dawg yacht-tail and it was a unique drink. The flavor profile was different and it wasn't a bad drink, however, I wouldn't return just for this drink. The vanilla salt rim was interesting. Wish we had a better experience.

So the menu concept is straightforward...you have a choice between two fish of the day. Then you decide whether you want to fish as a platter, sandwich, taco or salad. You select a seasoning for the fish, your sides and sauces. That's the extent of the menu. When I dined here 3 days ago, the options were red grouper and mahi mahi. The price was $29+ change and $27 +change respectively. I don't think there is value for the price of the meal. My fave item was the yucca fries. Everything else on the plate was ok. The smoked fish was ok not astounding and well I didn't like the ceviche at all...especially coming off the hinge of two trips to Mexico in the past month and comparing it to the amazing ceviche I did have. The atmosphere is cool so I did like that! The staff were friendly whenever we needed to interact with them - you order your food at the bar or a separate counter. May pass on the food and try the drinks next time.

Overpriced - way overpriced! $48 for a bottle of $12 pinot grigio. $30 for a 6 oz piece of grouper. Plastic utensils and paper plates.

It was smooth and refreshing. The server guided me through the cocktail menu which was an exploration all its very own. I choose the cocktail called Opposite Day- Japanese whiskey, sweet Sauvignon Blanc, salted wine and roasted beets- twist on a whiskey sour but flipped! Oysters were light and fresh and the juice in the shell was precision clean. It really pops the flavors of the oyster. Yellowtail jalapeño handroll- it is designed to be eaten similar to a taco. The yellowtail was superbly fresh, the jalapeno was a mild touch to accompany the dish and didn't try to be the star. and the homemade soy sauce didn't over power the fish. Duck leg finished with a Szechuan spice and finished a pear au jus. The duck fell off the bone and was bursting with a complex blend of elegant flavors. The entire dining area and booth is now Tanto and they have themed cocktail menus that changes seasonally. They have a small bites menu which includes handrolls! Service was good, attentive and we got a nice view of the bar where the bartenders were amazing! They were shaving down ice for the cocktails. Very cool. The seasonal menu has already changed, so I am not sure of the drinks we got lol both were fun and just okay.. mine came in a cone shape ceramic and very tart? The food was pretty good - some hits and misses. The caviar service was good but came with thin chips that break. I would recommend small pancakes. The sea bream hand rolls were good and the chirashi was very good. The karaage was good but the chive aioli was incredible. Overall cool concept but would love a bigger entree options on their menu. This would open up more patrons to visit who don't want to drop $500 for sushi

The ambiance was beautiful--everything was clean, the noise level was not loud at all, and I loved the lighting and overall atmosphere of the open-concept space. It felt comfortable, elevated, and easy to enjoy a full meal without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. Our server was training someone, but you couldn't even tell--it was so professional. One thing I noticed was how many people work there, and I really hope it stays that way. Each staff member had a specific role, and it made the entire service feel seamless. There was no rushing and no stress on the servers. You could tell they really enjoyed what they were doing. They also offer complimentary valet, and you can even Venmo a tip, which made arrival and departure super easy. At the end of our meal, someone even came to box up our food for us--we didn't have to do it ourselves. Very old school NY!!! Top-tier service. As for the food: the oysters we had were flavorful, and the garlic bread selection was soft and not overly heavy on the garlic. My friend ordered the scallops with risotto and crispy prosciutto, and I ordered the special chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti in a lemon sauce that they suggested. I was in the mood for a lemon-flavored pasta, and they absolutely delivered. Both plates were phenomenal. I wish they had a place like this in Orlando. I also wish the chicken parm would always be a special because that sauce was delicious. Growing up in Brooklyn, I've had some really good Italian food--and I would absolutely come back here. I'd give service five stars and food five stars. Thank you for a great meal--you did not disappoint.
