Told All-Star Elite Dave W about my recent lunch at Dead Bob's new location in St Petersburg and when he discovered that there was a Tampa location our next lunch get together was unanimous. This location isn't as swamped as the St Petersburg location. There was plenty of parking and lots of room to sit down. We chose to sit at the bar. Dave W ordered a fruity mocktail (Bartender's choice), and I ordered a fruity cocktail (Bartender's choice). The drink I got was 'Sex On The Beach' ($3.25). The cocktail was tasty with a slight kick. Later I ordered another and told her to make it a double ($5.25). The second drink had a big kick! I ordered the Shrimp Dinner ($14.77) choosing to have the shrimp grilled and it came with broccoli and yellow rice. I substituted fries for the rice. Dead Bob's fries are special. The shrimp didn't look grilled to me. That cost them a star. Other than that I have no complaints about the service or atmosphere. read more

Overall great! Good food, friendly service, very reasonably priced. 4 lunch entrees, multiple apps for about $100 (no alcohol). Everyone enjoyed the meal and the portions were generous. No complaints highly recommend and would go back on a return trip to Florida. read more

Cool lowkey bar with an indoor and outdoor area. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced! Service is pretty good as well- we sat at the bar. The food is what you expect for bar food (not the best, but edible). We got the Philly cheesesteak rolls that were ok but too greasy (2.5/5). The bleu cheese burger was a hefty burger - lots of toppings and a big patty! The side of rice and beans honestly had a decent amount of flavor (3.5/5). I also got a side of fries that were SUPER crispy!! Just needed a little more salt but definitely delicious (4.5/5) read more

I have been living in South Tampa for a while and can't believe I've never been here! 10/10 service, atmosphere, and food! Our waitress was so sweet, we sat outside and really loved the vibes. Food is definitely not at all overpriced like other Tampa restaurants, very affordable! I got the chicken philly and my boyfriend got a burger, we both loved our dinner! Definitely a new go-to. I heard of Dead Bob's as being the typical Florida bar with cheap drinks and good bar food. I love that, so I had to check it out. I entered with the expectation that this is not going to be a sort of fancy experience. I ordered the Cheesy Bob Burger which was big. The fries are very good, perfectly seasoned and very crispy. The burger patty was a little under seasoned for my taste and over cooked even though I ordered it medium. Nonetheless, I think it was still worth the price. These are minor flaws compared to the overall meal. The drinks are indeed cheap and I'm sure this is their main attraction. I wonder how it is for Happy Hour. One of these days I'll have to go check it out. Overall I had a great time, the service is friendly and attentive, the food is good and the drinks are affordable. read more

We are so-so on this restaurant. Here's why: The food pricing is pretty good for south Tampa and the drink specials at Happy Hour are good. However, the staff has never been friendly or even had a smile on serving us over three different visits. They are not bad, just not friendly at all. As if it's almost a chore that we are there. Might be a random thing and no reason to skip this place, as the value is definitely worth a visit.
