A few months ago, my home was struck by a stray bullet from a random shooting that happened in front of my house. Since then, a couple of other situations have made me feel unsafe in my own home. That experience led me to consider purchasing a firearm for home protection. I had visited other gun shops before and even spent time at the range, intending to buy a gun -- but every time it came down to making the purchase, I felt unsure and honestly a little scared. The truth was, I simply didn't have enough knowledge or confidence to feel comfortable having a firearm in my house. That's exactly why I signed up for this class -- and it was absolutely the right decision. Matt and Dan were incredibly friendly, approachable, and fun to be around. They created an environment that felt welcoming and judgment-free, which was especially important for someone like me who had some anxiety going in. The classroom portion was extremely informative and covered so many foundational things I didn't fully understand before -- safety, handling, mindset, and practical knowledge that truly builds confidence. We ended the class by going to the range and practicing with a handgun, applying the skills we had just learned.
