They rose to my challenge of a random hookah flavor and offered to change it for free if it wasn't perfect but it was great. The pull was just right, too, and long lasting. They offered me wings and fries when I asked if they had food. I have legit never had wings this good. Crisp skin but the meat fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. They were a bit too hot for me until the fries arrived to balance them out. Guys, the fries were crisp on the outside but buttery on the inside like cookies made on a stone plate. 10/10, will always recommend. On a bougie note, their furniture is just as comfy as it is stylish. Sit anywhere, become one with the chair.ヘ(￣￣ヘ) let's go!

The tofu was a little under-seasoned, but it was expertly grilled. All of the veggies were crisp and tasty. Next time I'll definitely get this with a side salad. The side salads looked very fresh and had generous portions. I also really appreciate the live music. I got to hear Queen City Vintage Vibe perform. Sitwell's hosting that group has allowed a number of regulars to build a community around a shared love of music. Their commitment to the neighborhood goes beyond just being a cafe. I encourage everyone to give this place a try.

I assumed this place would also be hopping, but when I walked in, there were just 2 tables seated and 2 people in line ahead of me waiting to order. Ordering process was very slow as the owner appeared to be training a new employee. But I was not in a hurry, so I patiently waited. After several minutes it was my turn. I ordered a cappuccino and Breakfast Panini which included egg, cheese, and choice of meat-- I chose sausage. Like a lot of other restaurants these days the cashier turned around the iPad which prompted for a tip for counter service. As I'm reviewing the tip options, the cashier gives me the same spiel as he gave to the two people who ordered before me. He explains that they are a non profit and any tips go to paying for the iPad payment subscription. There was also a cash jar. I was told any cash tips go to some charitable group that I wasn't familiar with. Sounds like it's not possible to tip the person who is actually providing me service. I sat at the bar and watched the worker prepare the meal -- only then realizing that the kitchen appliances consisted of a microwave and a toaster. After a minute and 30 seconds, I was served my microwave breakfast panini. Still waiting for my cappuccino, but not wanting the panini to get cold, I dug in. It was surprisingly edible. A few minutes after finishing my food, the cappuccino came in a styrofoam to-go cup. Others at the tables had proper coffee mugs, and I was expecting a mug since I said my order was for "eat in", but I accepted the cappuccino as served. Summary: If you're an impatient, demanding foodie, this place is not for you. One the other hand, if you have time and you're not too picky, this is a fine place to get a cup of coffee and some food.

We ordered coffees, a matcha, two smoothies (one fruit-based, one milk-based), plus sandwiches and wraps. Everything was fresh, thoughtfully made, and you can tell everything is made with quality ingredients The staff was genuine and accommodating, and the cafe is a nice balance between cozy and polished. Inside, there's plenty of space to settle in and work remotely from too. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try their wine selection. On a warm summer evening with a glass of rosé, at their patio -- it's a vibe! This pocket of Cincinnati also reminded me of some California coastal towns, which is nostalgic for me. I tried the chicken bacon ranch wrap, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly satisfying, and paired it with their butter bourbon latte--both hot and iced. Each version was delicious in its own way: the hot felt cozy and indulgent, while the iced was smooth and refreshing. The option to add a shot of bourbon of your choice for a modest upcharge is such a fun, elevated touch that sets this café apart. The staff is also so kind! What really makes Bow Tie Café shine, though, is the atmosphere. It's easily the best place in Cincinnati to romanticize your life on a beautiful day--whether you're sipping something special, enjoying a casual meal, or just soaking in the charm of Mt. Adams. Even better, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and experience. A true gem.

I love Shirazi and used to eat it all the time at a favorite Persian restaurant. With the current issue in the country around salad/ greens, I was excited, thinking that the bulk of this dish would be the cucumber, tomato, and onion, as I have always known it to be, but in this case, it was just an American salad with a little bit of those 3 items on top--not what I was expecting. So that was a bummer. On the up side, the tomato soup was good, and they had a cake of the day--bourbon with brown butter, I believe, and that was quite tasty.

When asked kindly, I would happily oblige as I was grateful to have a place open late enough for me to get my work done. Unfortunately, things have changed for the worse. Now, we were asked to leave if we didn't make another purchase despite the fact that we were not even done with our first drinks. As many other reviews have stated, we were berated by the worker about tipping because he told us he only makes $3 an hour. Having worked as a barista myself and knowing many others, I have never known a place to pay baristas (or bartenders) a server's wage rather than minimum wage. Even still, as of 2026 in Ohio the minimum server wage is $5.50. Most likely the worker was lying, but the owner Shawn Brooks should be ashamed of himself and investigated by the U.S. Department of Labor. Also, the worker added extra charges to our bill which is so slimey. For all the complaining about not being able to stay in business if people don't buy multiple items, you will not be able to stay in business if you scare all your customers away. I will never patronize this business again.
