It really is a pleasure to write the first review for Chris O'Connor and Trinity Gunsmith! Chris has worked on two of my guns: a Marlin 336 in 30-30 and a Remington model 870 shotgun. For the Marlin 336 Chris installed the large loop lever from Wild West Guns. Doing so required a lot more fine tuning than either of us thought. Certainly, FAR more than the package stated "minor gunsmith services" needed. BUAHAHAHAH In a short amount of time Chris determined what needed to be done for the new lever not only to operate and function correctly but to MOVE LIKE BUTTER! Far better than the original, factory lever. I mean SMOOTH! For the Remington shotgun, it was a complete conversion to a home defense weapon including installing a magazine extension which required surgery. The Remington 870 Express magazine tube needed physical adjustment in order for the magazine extension to properly install. No problem. Chris also installed a full tactical picatinny rail, forearm and tactical buttstock. It's one heavy mother of a gun but it is smooth! Chris runs his business from home and his gunsmith operation is spotless; clean as a whistle. Very well organized and well run. And it's safe to bring your children here - not an F-bomb within ear shot. What a treat! I plan to take 2 other weapons to Chris for his magic touch within the next week. It's great to have a competent gunsmith available to the general public nearby. Chris is a very nice person, promptly returns phone calls and messages and brings his work in on time and budget. I needed to cut down the stock on my new Ruger Mini 14 to reduce the length of pull, since I have short arms. Trinity gunsmithing is run by Chris and he is by far the nicest, and most helpful person I have dealt with in the realm of firearms. He goes above and beyond what others will do. He charges a more than fair price he quoted me originally $60 to clear a barrel, and bore-sight my gun. Later when he couldn't clear the barrel he didn't charge me for it. We talked it over when I got a new barrel and only charged me $40 to install it and bore-sight it. There's another place in Brentwood that quoted me $100+ to do the same exact work and told me I'd have to wait 2+ weeks for them just to start. Chris does good work for a great price don't go anywhere else! He doesn't take advantage or price gouge like these other local places do. These other local businesses need to learn from Chris.
