I purchased my Sig from Accurate Arms and Sean was super helpful as I was deciding on which firearm to buy. I actually went in during my lunch break and the entire process was seamless. Bob was extremely knowledgeable and helped answer a bunch of different questions I had. I originally walked in with out an appointment but Sean accepted me since he had a small opening in time. We sat down and I told him that I was looking for a 2nd firearm to qualify with for my CCW. He showed me a bunch of different options until I finally decided on my Sig - which I absolutely love. I've been using this shop as my go-to gunsmith for a few years now. He's reliable, does good work and has thus far had great turn around times. There was one time when he very well could've charged further, yet when he realized a repair on my 1968 Remington Wingmaster 20GA was not possible (due to parts unavailability) he stopped the project. Very honest, trustworthy and reliable. He helped me modify my AR variant coyote rifle to meet the "new" California "laws" and has always remained very knowledgeable about the extraneous "laws" imposed on that rifle platform. Bob did a cerakote job on my ParaOrdnance 1911 when the factory bluing started having excessive holster wear; VERY reasonable pricing and the finished product was stellar. That cerakote job has held and remains looking "like new". Accurate Arms doesn't just do gunsmith work; he does FFL, builds fantastic rifles and has a small inventory as well. He has most certainly earned my brand loyalty and will remain my go-to gunsmith, FFL and all around problem solver when it comes to my hunting and target rifles. Give them a try. Also worthy to note, Bob races competitively and vis a vis his racing sport team, raises a BOAT LOAD of money for charity each year and has quietly done this for many years. Ive never been so heartfelt disappointed in my life up until today. It sucks that i have to write this review especially when the guys here welcomed me with open arms. I inquired about a trigger job for my Jacob Grey TWC Hex 2011 which was to reduce stock trigger weight from 3.5lb to 2lb trigger and to make the reset more positive. I was told that their lead time was going to be about a week but I got word that they were backed up which I then waited a total of 3 weeks for me to get a call about it. I was excited to get my gun back BUT When I got the gun back, the trigger pull turned out to be slightly heavier than before. (4lbs) I was told that the trigger pull was now or already 1lb 7Oz it says on the Paper but no it wasn't because my trigger on my Staccato HD P4 was Wayyy Lighter than that. Later that day i took the gun to a gunsmith all the way out there in Pinole and had him take it apart to see if Accurate Arms actually did anything to it. We found out that the only thing the gunsmith did was only take it apart just to adjust the Sear spring and called it a day. Used the trigger pull weight gauge measured it at 4lb's and saw no wear marks on any of the components for fitting. Like I said Ive never felt really disappointed in my life having to come home knowing that i waited 3 weeks and spent the $150 on someone who didn't really do Jack Shit to it. I would much rather be told that we cant do the trigger job you are looking for other than wasting time and money. read more

Bob was absolutely incredible helping me with everything I needed on extremely short notice. I launched a buffer retainer across the room and he had one for me and even installed for a small cost. I've used Bob as an FFL for a gun purchase. He did the CA Compliance work on my Bushmaster AR and he's served as an FFL for out of state ammo. Bob's a total professional. Also a cool guy to work with, very down to earth and friendly. He's been my one stop shot during COVID and will be for as long as I live in the Tri-Valley area. Everything he does is by the book (so you won't get dinged down the road), but he's going to get you through the process in as painless a fashion as possible. He's been cranking out the work this summer, with new gun-owners and folks getting their guns customized. But he'll make an appointment in order to keep things from being all chaotic and he's responsive to emails and texts. I might try to take one of his gun build classes at some point.
