It was a 5 days Audrino Robotic Car Camp…read more The course description is for student to learn the basics of robotics, sensors, 3D printing and build a robotic car. The cost is $425+$70 material fee. For the first 2 days, the instructors were teaching the kids to build the robotic car and plug in the wires which was ok. on the 3rd day, the instructors just provide the C++ code and asked the students to copy and paste the code and upload it to the Audrino board without explaining the code to them. Then on the 4th day, most of the cars didn't work and the instructors were there fixing the wirings one by one and let the kids sitting there watching video and playing games online the whole day without teaching them anything. on the 5th day, same thing happened, the kids were just sitting around using the laptops lent to them the whole day to watch youtube, play games online etc. on the last day, the instructors said they will send the program and direction to the parents on how to reprogram the robotic cars but that never happened. Also, there was NOTHING about 3D printing the whole camp. I sent an email to Rrooar and asked them about it and also asked for partial refund (cuz I think the 1st 3 days they actually did something). But what I got was a reply with denials, saying that this camp is very popular and other parents are happy about it (and this is not true, cuz i asked the other parent and she also was complaining about it). and their response was just "we will take your feedback and try to improve in the future) It's not a cheap summer camp and we spent around $500 for 1 week with nothing learned. I then explained again to them point by point on how they didn't fulfill what they have said in the class description. they didn't respond for a week and then when I asked for update, they replied and said "I'm not sure what you are looking for at this time, we already said we will taken your feedback. your kid attended all 5 days and has the equipment with him and we will be sharing the code as promised this week" (of course that didn't happen either at all, another lie) Seems like they feel ok to get paid for a 5 days course but just teach for 3 days. to me its a scam. with this level of teaching, everyone can go buy an Audrino Kit online and throw it to the kids and scam people for money. Absolutely not recommending this company. what they want is just your money. they don't care about teaching kids. and they are rude. BEWARE!

I took an Intermediate Pistol Course earlier this month with Matt and Ben leading the class -- both were phenomenal instructors. Each instructor had their own philosophy and methodology with handling and tactics. I appreciate that they also brought their "real world" experiences into our group discussions. Since the instructors have LE and Military backgrounds, better perspectives and examples are shared with the class which is an added bonus for those who are learning new concepts or strategies. The course I took was at Field Sports Park on the border of South San Jose and Morgan Hill. We had a private section of the park which worked nicely for our intimate class size of 10. The class started at 9am and ran a little bit past 3pm. We completed drills as a class and did some additional work in smaller group sizes of 1:5. I enjoyed the session so much that I signed up for 1:1 instruction for a new weapon I just purchased. Signing up is easy. Just browse through the course offerings on the website, select and pay for the course you want to take (check for prerequisites), and Adriana (I believe she's the Operations Manager) will respond to you promptly with all the details you need. By the way, Adriana has been an absolute pleasure to work with -- she's responsive and really great with answering questions. Overall, there's a pretty awesome team running this business. I would highly recommend for beginner shooters, skilled shooters, expert shooters, and every skill level in between!

After the online course, you go to the skills lab which is conveniently located downtown. The second day was hands on training and qualifications. I learned a lot about proper holstering, grip, sight alignment, and overall firearm safety. I go to the range regularly and thought I was a decent shooter, but this course showed me there is still plenty to learn and practice. What I learned about proper grip made me change everything I knew about it. Joe and his team are amazing. Joe brings a ton of law enforcement experience and knowledge, but explains everything in a way that is easy to understand and apply. I came here for my CCW training and qualification, but I'll definitely be back for more classes. Highly recommend LEO Defense Concepts!

I took my first handgun skill builder course with Josh, Mike and Steven this past weekend. They were all extremely friendly and did an absolutely awesome job instructing the class. The top priority is always safety with LDC and it definitely does not go unnoticed. I truly appreciate the way that they communicated with everyone; information is very streamlined and truly a great transfer of knowledge. I will continue to take classes with LDC and recommend them to all of my friends and family! Everything from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. The 8 hours of classroom time was extremely informative with real world situations which made it relatable and fun. The information was all clearly explained which made it extremely easy to digest. I feel truly thankful for all of the assistance/coaching that I received from the entire LDC team. We had the luxury of working with Joe, Archie, Mike and Roman; they were an absolute class act all around. The time on range was extremely safe and an absolute blast. In my opinion, they truly showed how passionate they were about their craft which pushed me to improve every step of the way. This school opened in 2014. I am a parent of an MHHS student. The school is at the forefront of the…read moretraditional vs. modern methods of teaching and learning. MHHS focuses on the "flipped learning" concept where student and teachers work collaboratively in the classroom. Online learning is part of this process and it has caused much controversy. From my perspective, there is a benefit in learning from new technology. Information is distributed much more quickly and students receive the latest up-to-date information. I remember being in a private school growing up and learning from traditional textbooks published 10 years ago. I wondered as a student why I was learning out-of-date material. Fast forward to today, and I find myself appreciating this school's commitment in learning from Internet platforms. Students are issued chrome books which serve as their textbooks for the year. No textbooks are issued. Good or bad? IMO, good. I don't have to worry about my student carrying luggage to school. We just worry about two things. 1) don't lose your chrome book and 2) keep the chrome book functional The downside for some parents is simply my son or daughter is on their chrome book all day. But what is the difference if they are hovering over a textbook or chrome book? There is no negative difference! I know my child is studying. I hear parents complain about the large homework volume, but I don't get this argument. Homework is part of the deal in high school and prepares kids for college or the rigors of the military. After all, high school isn't supposed to be easy. It's supposed to prepare students for what is in front of them - post high school life! My child and MHHS students benefit from "flipped learning." I went to a prominent University in my undergrad years. Professors expect you to have the ability to function on your own -- no hand holding! Papers are submitted online. Assignments are given through class and reiterated through Internet modules. Students communicate with professors in person but largely, by email! Assignments and papers are submitted through -- guess what --- email or an online platform! This is college! MHHS prepares kids for college by forcing them to be independent learners! I love this. I know my child will go through ups and downs, but by the end of high school will be more ready for the everyday common practice of college life. I've heard complaints about teachers not doing much during class time. In the first year, some teachers would refer kids to websites when class questions came up. My child's experience is this happens minimal but I'm sure there may be a percentage of teachers who may not be engaged. My hope is all MHHS teachers are involved in the learning process and infuse enthusiasm in their class. Every class depends on the direction and enthusiasm of their teacher. As a parent, I'm able to track my kids progress through Aeries. Other schools also use Aeries (or equivalent), so MHHS is using an accepted module for parents to stay in tune with their kids grades. Mr. Rexelle's music program is top-notch! They have won awards in competitions the last two years! The sports programs are developing with girls basketball leading the way with its success in the school's first two years. The track and football field is a impressive! This school has gone through growing pains, but I strongly feel the staff in place continues to steer the school in a positive direction. I know many of the teachers and administrators. They are good, caring people. I see this school getting better and better each year. With all the people moving to Mountain House, this school will be the prominent focus of this town.

We all started on time and during this two day course we went through everything about motorcycle safety to gear selection to how to maneuver our bikes. They have different bikes for different sized people and they are all comfortable. Pay very close attention to the instructors and take your time learning as you grow within the two days. It was a hot day during those two days so I wore a air conditioned vest over my gear. Out of 12 of us only one person failed because he dropped the bike at the very end of the driving test and that's because he was nervous and panicked. Great overall customer support when I needed it as well to get my certificate of completion mailed to me by priority mail I paid the extra $20 and got it in the next business day! Highly suggest this class for beginners or novice riders to take this course you will learn more about safety and even get a discount from your insurance for showing your completion. Also skip the driving test at the DMV.
