We enrolled our two sons, ages 8 and 4, at Best Brains Learning Center Dublin, but our experience…read morewas disappointing. Each class is only 30 minutes per subject, and that time is shared with about 4 other kids. For close to $40 per session, the value just isn't there. During class, the instructors seemed to do the bare minimum. Most of the actual work is pushed onto kids and parents through worksheets, which defeats the purpose of paying for guided learning. What concerned us more was our 4-year-old's experience. When we arrived 10 to 15 minutes early a few times, we found him just sitting and playing instead of being engaged. In a 30-minute session, losing 10 minutes is significant. Overall, it felt unstructured and not worth the cost. We expected more engagement, attention, and value for the price.

I'm deeply touched and would like to share my journey with YangFan. We moved to Dublin in 2017 and…read moreenrolled with YangFan right away. At the time, my daughter was in first grade and my son was just starting preschool. We had a wonderful experience there. Today, I especially want to share something meaningful. When COVID hit, I brought my children home in 2021, and we have not returned to YangFan since then because I have been working from home and have been able to care for them myself. We still had a couple thousand dollars remaining in our account. Recently, I thought of YangFan again, and I was amazed to learn that YangFan still allowed me to use those funds after six years. That was truly wonderful and far beyond my expectations. Thank you so much, YangFan

I wanted to share my personal experience with Mathnasium in Dublin so other parents know what to…read moreexpect. A friend recommended Mathnasium to me, and I found the Dublin location online. I eventually registered for an assessment through their Facebook page. At no point during the online registration process or on the Facebook page did I see any mention that there was a fee for the assessment. I have no problem paying a reasonable assessment fee if it is clearly disclosed upfront. In fact, my daughter has had assessments at two other tutoring centers, and both clearly stated the cost during registration. Transparency is important. The assessment had been scheduled for about three weeks. A few hours before the appointment, the owner called me and said he wanted to go over a few things about the assessment. I was at work and in a hurry, so I told him my daughter would be attending with her father the following morning and that I understood it was simply an assessment to determine her level, after which we would decide whether to enroll.I then said- and it is free of cost.  He then mentioned there was "a small fee." When I asked how much the fee was, he repeatedly said he wanted to discuss several things with me before disclosing the amount. I explained that I simply wanted to know the fee because it had not been disclosed anywhere online. Since my husband was taking our daughter, I did not want him arriving and being surprised by an unexpected charge. After I asked several times, he finally told me the assessment fee was $114. Again, I want to emphasize that the amount itself was not the issue. I was simply disappointed that the fee had not been disclosed during registration. At that point, the conversation changed. His tone became noticeably less pleasant, and he began asking questions such as, "What are you looking for for your child?". "Why did you register- then ?"  and "Why do you want your child here in this program?" I found the conversation uncomfortable because I was simply trying to understand the assessment fee before deciding whether to proceed. I explained that I was working and needed to get off the phone, but I felt pressured to continue the discussion. Ultimately, I canceled the appointment. My decision had nothing to do with the $114 fee. I am happy to invest in my daughter's education. What concerned me was the lack of upfront disclosure about the assessment cost and the change in tone during the conversation. As a parent, first impressions matter. If I don't feel respected during the enrollment process, it makes me question whether that is the environment I want for my child. This review reflects only my experience with the Dublin location. I cannot speak about any other Mathnasium centers, and I'm sure other families may have had different experiences.

I had originally considered enrolling my children in Mathnasium summer programs, but after today's…read moreexperience, I no longer feel comfortable supporting this location. While picking up my child from middle school, I briefly stopped in the red zone because I was not feeling well and currently have a fever. Within seconds, the business owner, Mr. Siva, approached my vehicle aggressively, yelling and cursing loudly in front of my children and other students. He was not law enforcement or school staff, yet his behavior was intimidating, hostile, and completely inappropriate for someone running a business centered around children and education. My children were genuinely frightened by the interaction. Regardless of parking frustrations, there is never an excuse to speak to parents that way in front of children. What concerns me even more is that Mathnasium as a brand chooses to franchise locations to individuals who conduct themselves in this manner. It seriously makes me question the professionalism, judgment, and values of the company as a whole. Because of this experience, I will be taking my children to another math tutoring center moving forward.

They made a real effort to accommodate our needs and limitations, which is something we truly valued and don't often see in similar places. Most importantly, our son genuinely enjoyed going there every day. He was excited to arrive, and sometimes he didn't even want to come home after a full day. The communication was just the right amount, and we always felt that he was in good hands. Highly recommend Safari Kid as a daycare or preschool! Special thanks to Miss Pooja and Miss Kruthi.

After only touring the facility, I will let you know what I witnessed…read more 1. The facility is dirty. From the floors, walls and the bathrooms the children use. I cannot imagine what the kitchen looks like where they prep the snacks. The paint was noticeably chipping off the walls and floor molding. It is not kept up like many other facilities in the area. 2. The outdoor play yard has minimal shade. They do have sun sails up but they do not provide proper shade for the children. 3. I didn't see any children smiling or having fun when we looked into the 2s, 3s and 4s rooms. It was a quiet room, but not in a good way. 4. There were many other safety concerns but the main issue I saw that needs to be addressed was that there were clear wall tacks used on the hallways to hold up art and other things. Toddlers walk the halls and it's a huge safety hazard to them. Tacks always fall off walls and it just takes one toddler to toss it into their mouth in a split second. Using tacks and tapes on the walls is definitely not to code and a violation of safety standards. 5. They are planning on adding infants to the room that has children up to age 2. I haven't seen this done anywhere else. It's a health and safety hazard to have infants with 2 year olds. Do not send your infants here. 6. This was the least racial diverse facility I have toured. It might not be a deal breaker for some, but it is definitely something to consider as it is something to give most parents pause. 7. While the lady who gave the tour was nice enough. She mainly walked me to the rooms and set me down in her office and asked if I had questions. She didn't tell me about their curriculum, enrichment opportunities, ratios, or what makes them stand out against the many other preschools in the area. Perhaps it's because they do not. I am surprised parents send their children to such an expensive facility that is lacking. Parents should do surprise visits to check on the wellness of their kids here. Visiting this place made me so sad for the children who are stuck in these rooms all day-- especially the room with the 2 year olds.

I signed my two boys (4 yr old and 5 yr old) for spring break camp and thank god they loved it!…read more I chose GrowFit because it is sports focused and I figured it would be suitable for my active boys. It was my first time signing my kids up for a spring break camp so I felt a bit nervous about how they would react to a new environment. My worries were immediately put to rest when I saw the fun interactions my kids had with coach John upon them leaving after the first day. With a big smile on his face, my boy was saying "you are the best!" back and forth with coach John. After returning home, they shared with me how much they liked playing football, basketball, tags, jumping house, and golf. I am thankful that the team at GrowFit took great care of my boys. Thank you and I highly recommend their camp program!

Instead, the day typically didn't start until 9:30 AM and was essentially over by 3:30 PM, with kids sitting around waiting for pickup. On the first day, one coach kicked a ball into my son's head and then disappeared for the rest of the week. My son came home every day saying he learned no soccer skills because there was little to no coaching. They didn't even play soccer on the last day. Most activities were random games unrelated to soccer. Afternoons consisted mainly of crafts, Legos, and a bounce house--fun activities, but not what was advertised. The check-in process was also disorganized. The receptionist repeatedly struggled to find my son's registration because she was confused about first and last names, despite his information being clearly visible in the system. She claims everyone makes mistake and that's ok, please tell this to your boss, not me. This camp has potential, but it is poorly managed and does not deliver what it promises. Updated based on Russ's feedback - the name in the system was correct because when your receptionist can't find it and handed me the iPad, I was able to look it up and it looks right. However, looks like it was sorted by first name but she asked for last name. I understand it was supposed to be very structured, but during class, it was not the case. My son even asked the coach to teach him how to kick and shoot better but the coach ignored him.
