Really prepared my son well to pass on his first attempt. We did the in person training with road training. A Livermore rite of passage!

I took my driving classes here a few years ago and everything went very well, so I decided it would be best that my younger sister take her driving classes here. Kim is an excellent driving instructor however Lorie is a nightmare come true. She was being extremely passive aggressive towards my sister during her last class not only that, she put her hands on my sister. While they were sitting at an intersection Lorie was telling her where she needs to be looking in order to cross the intersection safely, my sister simply said okay but didn't look over, instead of Lorie pointing something out in the surrounding area and saying to actually look she moved my sisters head and put it up against the window which is incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. Along with that whenever she would do something wrong she would grip her arm tightly and say " look you're doing it again" while she was driving which is completely unsafe. At the end of the appointment my sister was crying due to lack of respect Lorie showed, Lorie was also indicating that she wasn't the first student that she made extremely uncomfortable. If you're going to book here I would highly recommend asking for Kim unless you want your child to be belittled and extremely disrespected. For almost $800 I at least expect respect. read more

I have put all three of my children through this driving school now. It's a small business, and it's very clear that the teenagers learning how to drive are the true focus. They try so hard (and succeed, IMO) in making sure they are available at times that are convenient and possible for the kids - working around school times, breaks and picking them up at school or home. During the pandemic, they worked really hard to get the kids going as soon as they could. They are also very aware of how important this is to the kids and really keep that front and center in their business. read more

My daughter just got her permit and this was the local school of our city. I highly recommend the people are so sweet they give the true definition of ALOHA! I love how they mention that they want the experience not to be stressful that is such a relief especially with a new driver at hand in the family! I appreciate how quickly they call back when you leave a message and how they are willing to work with you financially . BEST driving school in Livermore!!! Aloha Driving School is awesome! My daughter had an excellent experience. From the get go, the staff was super responsive to my calls and handling the many reschedules necessary with the ongoing changes with CDC guidelines and shut downs. The instructors made my daughter very comfortable and provided a lot of great feedback. I highly recommend Karen. She's great with teens, challenges them, and provides them with constructive feedback in a very patient and calm manner. With every interaction, the instructors thanked me for my business and that doesn't happen very much these days. It was very refreshing. Thanks for our experience such a positive one. Thanks to Aloha's driver training program my daughter passed both her written and behind the wheel driving tests with flying colors the FIRST TIME! Aloha exceeded our expectations. Their staff is professional and extremely well organized, providing parents and students all the documented information needed every step of the way. My daughter opted for their classroom lessons instead of online. She found each session incredibly valuable, fun and the information she learned really stuck. She actually looked forward to each session. To this day she takes pride in sharing driving facts and tips that she's learned at Aloha. According to Aloha's owner Karen, students do far better if they go the classroom route and I can vouch for that. My daughter found the written DMV test (to get her permit) a breeze because she was so well prepared. Behind the wheel lessons with her instructor Kim, taught my daughter confidence in her abilities and the skills needed to be a safe calm driver. While she had her permit my daughter felt comfortable enough to drive us everywhere, including all the way to Gilroy and did so perfectly. She mastered driving both of our family cars as well. A few days before her behind the wheel test, Kim took her out for their last driving lesson. Kim made sure to go to Tracy DMV where she'd be tested and had my daughter drive several possible routes while going over what she'd be tested on. We got notes on the couple areas she should fine tune before the test. This attention to detail ensured that my daughter was fully prepared and able to pass with an almost perfect score when the big day came. My only regret is that we didn't use Aloha when my son was learning to drive several years earlier. He wasn't nearly as prepared as my daughter and every step of his process was an unnecessary challenge. He opted for an online class with their competitor and it wasn't as informative. His behind the wheel lessons were ok but the quality of the vehicle they provided wasn't nearly as nice as Aloha's. This entire process from start to finish was worlds better with Aloha for my daughter. Aloha is the only driving school in our area that we'd highly recommend. The results speak for themselves. Aloha, you made it FUN for our kids! They could not wait to wake up and go to class the next day, AND my daughter got only two wrong out of 46 on the permit test. Only 30% of kids pass their written test the first time that take an online-only class. A whopping 98% of kids pass their first time after taking ALOHA!!! My daughter and her friends are pumped full of knowledge, which is giving them the confidence they need to become good, safe drivers. I have already texted all my friends that were considering doing an online course instead. I say, pay the extra few dollars because your child's precious life is definitely worth a couple extra dollars! If they take Aloha classes they will not only learn the info, they will retain it for a lifetime. :) read more

This company was easy to deal with, and they were prompt. My daughter loved her instructor, and she passed her test. Well worth the money. Guardian Driving School in Livermore never called me back after leaving them 2 messages. So....... my recommendations go to Aloha! read more

Very professional and accommodating. My kids went through Aloha driving school and loved it! The quality of instruction has remained consistently high. My son attended driving school 4 years ago and my daughter completed her program at the end of February. Karen is a kind thoughtful instructor who uses praise and understanding along with patience. This is the best driving school in this area that you can think of! (The reviews says everything). So When I was looking for one I found this and tried to call them..but unfortunately nobody picked up a few times..and I thought of leaving a bad review for them on yelp,but there was my that I didnt leave any voice mail ever..So they were not able to contact me back. Then one day my husband got a call back from them as he did leave a voice mail someday. Then they got to know it was me who wrote a bad unnecessary review. They still considered teaching me and scheduled appointments.(I wouldnt have if I was in there shoes honestly!) But oh my did they teach me the right and correct ways of driving???? Oh YES!! And not only that, they helped me with my confidence level so much that now I drive wayyyy better than how I used to. I had a teacher in santa clara who is famous for slapping and beating his students for doing mistakes which made me feel that all of them are the same! But Aloha gave me Kim who is not only supportive, cool and the best teacher you can ever have to learn your driving. I haven't taken my drive test yet cuz I still feel I haven't completed my 60 hours of practice but I am sure with the way I am driving in my practice I will pass for sure(if I dont get nervous because of my anxiety issues.) Karen is amazing! She went above and beyond in helping me. I called her to inquire about driving school as I recently received a ticket. She doesn't offer this service yet (she said she will in the future), but she has a link to an online school on her website. She graciously guided me to it. I accidentally clicked on the wrong link and completed the wrong program on her website. It was completely my fault. Despite that, when I reached out to her, she not only redirected me to the right site but also offered to refund my money for the class I completed in error. She is an amazing person who exhibits great customer service which I feel can be hard to come by nowadays. read more

THE BEST DRIVING SCHOOL!!!!! I took the online drivers education (to get my learners permit) and then the behind the wheel education (before getting my license). My driving teacher was sooo patient, nice, and fun and she explained everything in a "teen-friendly" way! She really made learning to drive a blast, and I passed my license test on the first try :-) I would recommend this driving school to ANYONE! They offer drivers ed both in class or online, and they also do behind the wheel training. read more

I don't know what this guys is talking about below. I can NOT thank Aloha enough for all they did for us! My daughter passed both her permit test and her driving test on the FIRST TRY! it's a great program. First is class room only curriculum that teach teenagers (bored, texting, hormonal, know it alls ) life and death material and somehow got it in to their brain (and WELL) I somehow gave birth to the most un-studious kid ever, and I watched her study the material every night completely motivated and actually retaining what they taught her. My daughter just turned 16 and are in the process of getting her license. I love this place. Karen, the owner (I think) is so helpful and so organized. My daughter has a busy schedule, so she did the online training. The certificate arrived within a week, There was a checklist sticker on the outside of the emvelope. Then, attached to the certificate was a check list of everything we needed to take to the DMV and a copy of all the forms we needed. WOW, everything we needed was right there. My daughter completed the first driving lesson. At all times., she was the only student in the car and all of her time was behind the wheel. Some schools you go and pick up the next student. Aloha Driving school is the best school in this area. Both of our kids did driver's ad and passed the permit test right away (The week after the classroom ad was over. My advise is, line up the week after on a Tuesday at 6:30/6:45am in the morning. The information is still very fresh from the classroom and they will pass right away). Our son also passed the driving test at DMV right away and I daughter just started driving lessons with them and feels very comfortable. All my kids were very motivated by the classes and learned a lot (even I learned a few things, from my kids, that I didn't know). This is my second rave review for Aloha Driving School. Our daughter went through Aloha about 5 years ago and this time it was our son's turn to get his license. I can honestly say: I would never consider going through any other driving school. Aloha provides students with everything they need to successfully complete their driving education and if the student follows Aloha's instructions, I must believe the outcome will be success! Our son has a different learning style from our daughter and it made no difference. This is one of the best driving schools in the east bay. I have had 3 family members and numerous friends and their children go to ALOHA Driving School. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my children and feel so strongly about it that I would not have referred my friends to take their children there either. I am currently taking the online course with Aloha Driving School, and I'm noticing that the unit lessons have terrible grammar. This only affected my learning in the fact that I would have to constantly stop reading and giggle at the lack of punctuation. I chose Aloha Driving School for my son because I knew the owner to be sincere with a passion for helping kids learn to drive safely. We don't live in Livermore but made the drive to Aloha because I knew my son would learn how to drive from caring adults. It paid off. My son passed his test on his first try and clearly respects the road. He is a careful driver who understands the importance of road safety. While many of his friends who didn't go to Aloha got into accidents within their first few months of driving, I am happy to say that thankfully my son has not been in an accident and continues to remember the lessons taught at Aloha Driving School. Now that he has gone off to college, I worry less about his 3 hour trips home because of the knowledge and emphasis on safety he gained at Aloha.
