Zach is awesome! I was a first time firearm buyer and he answered all of my qustions I had at the time. I ended up buying a firearm on gunbroker and had it sent to Glaser Arms for the transfer. I was in and out in 10-15 minutes for my background check and my pickup was even quicker. Glaser Arms offers the lowest transfer fees in the Bay Area - it was worth the drive for me. Will continue to do business with Zach at Glaser Arms. read more

The owner knows his stuff My transaction was the fastest I've ever had . Also a nice selection of firearms read more

Great service on gun transfer, highly recommend them will be back for next gun purchase

Great local gun store . Reliable and knowledgeable. Reasonable FFL fees. Pleasure to do business with

Love this place. Great selection for a small shop. The owner is a great guy who works quickly and efficiently and he will get you in-n-out. Prices are very reasonable too. read more

Zach is a pleasure to work with, timely in his response, and never oversells / under delivers. I'll be buying my future firearms from Glaser Arms for the convenience and trust they've built with their client base. read more

Great service! Great Owner! Support the local shop! No hassles and he treats everyone with excellent service! Thank you for being a wonderful gun shop owner! read more

I just started my FFL process and called Glaser Arms. A very knowledgeable and professional person greeted me, and he answered all of my questions. He quoted me the prices for the service that I was interested in and provided helpful information on what steps I needed to complete. The pricing was very competitive and under what others had quoted. I will update this item once I have completed the process, but as of now, I am very satisfied with the initial process and feel very good about the service. read more

(Just copied over my google review) Great customer service. Zach is easy to talk with, super professional, fast at his job while clearly being on top of everything. Honestly I'm blown away at how good all my experiences were at this shop. Also doesn't hurt that as far as I can tell he also has some of the best transfer prices in the bay area. read more

Great service. Fast processing for transfer but the two times I've been in, there was only one employee working. Wait times could get long if theres more than 4 people inside. Otherwise no complaints and would definitely come back here. Highly recommended read more

I don't know the name of who I was dealing with, but he was very polite and very efficient in processing my private party transfer. He was very knowledgeable about both the process, CA gun law in general and current issues in the industry. While there, we noticed he had a handgun in-stock, that is currently in pretty short supply, so a family member also bought that. The price was fair and on par with big sporting goods stores. read more

Glaser Arms is above all other FFLs in the Bay Area for firearm transfers. A very efficient experience. The employee was very professional, respectful and helpful. Parking is easy and convenient. Unlike a big box store like Sportsman's Warehouse, you wont need to take a number and wait for an hour to get service. At the time of this review in 11/2025, fees are not only the best in Contra Costa county, but the entire Bay Area. read more

Spoke to Zach over the phone to get my purchase started and wasn't sure of the documentation. Zach was very patient and helpful over multiple phone calls and made the process smooth. Its rare to have shops here in the Bay Area who really look out for the community. I would recommend coming here! read more

After doing much research before picking my FFL I decided to go with Glaser, and I have not been disappointed. He is quick, Professional and respectful. takes the time to answer all question and phone calls. I Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true FFL who knows CA laws and firearms. To the one review about Zack being rude and intolerant: he is direct and Serious, yes, it can be mistaken for rudeness, but everyone is different. do your research before coming in and ask him any remaining question (I promise he will be happy to help) don't expect him to give you a class or 30 min demo. read more

Zach is an amazing salesman and owner, he does a remarkable job with the DOJ paperwork and gets things done. Very easy to talk to you, straight shooter no pun intended. His prices are extremely reasonable and fair. If you don't like it, go to a big box store or go see the angry people in Martinez. The only thing I wish was a little bit more inventory. read more

Purchased my first gun in over 25 years from Glaser Arms. Small store, but being a local business I felt it more important to buy from Zach than a big box store. I asked a few questions which Zach happily answered and left that day knowing what I was going to buy from him. He didn't have it in stock, but said it would be in the following week. The following week I purchased the gun and came back after its 10 day mandatory jail time to pick it up, and could not be happier. I'm also having ammunition shipped in from an online retailer, which he gladly accepts with very reasonable fees. Overall, great experience and I will continue to do business with him in the future. read more

Simple and as easy as can be. This place is a bit far from me but I went here because the prices are fair compared to many of these gouging FFLs. Eric was friendly but not overly so and the experience was efficient and easy. No complaints and I would go back again for firearm transfers. This wouldn't be my preferred place for small caliber ammo transfer though since there's a charge per round. Better value for larger calibers here. read more

Nice guy behind the counter would recommend the small gun shop because I know how difficult it must be to run one in California and still a nice guy read more

Fast and efficient, also very reasonably priced. Zach knows his stuff as well and a good resource. read more

The gentleman at the store was rude and intolerant. He became increasingly agitated with each question and clearly did not want me in his store. read more

Zach is direct and up front, fast with paperwork (the stuff we all hate) and has great pricing. I have had nothing but good experiences here. He is a one man shop so if there's a couple people ahead of you, you will need to wait a little. read more

First time at Glaser Arms. Had something transferred over, pqid my fees and started my 10 days. Zach was quick to get things done. In and out of there in about 10-15mins including a five minute wait. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future. Also, it's nice and warm in there read more

Zach Glaser is both professional and personable. His shop is immaculate and his work speaks for itself. I recommend Glaser Arms for anyone looking for a good FFL and gunsmith in Eastern Contra Costa County. read more

I have done business with the owner several times and wouldn't hesitate recommending his business over others in the area in a heartbeat ! They treat people fairly but further more, HONESTLY. This quality is getting harder and harder to find in businesses. THANKS !! read more

Fantastic place. Not a crazy amount of inventory if that's what you're looking for in a gun store. Zack is a straight shooter. Punctual, and doesn't waste a second with transfers/ PPT, FFL stuff etc. Had two guns transferred in to him this much. The fee is super fair compared to some companies in the bay area charging $100 over what the FFL or DROS fee is. Would recommend 10/10. Thanks again Zack! read more

I have been to Glaser Arms four times now and have been consistently impressed. The store is very neat and extremely organized. Zach is a model of efficiency and extremely knowledgeable. Further, when I made a few mistakes he was quite patient and helpful. Top notch in all respects. read more

As most gun enthusiasts already know, 2020 has been a very crazy year for firearm purchases. All gun stores (FFLs) are out of stock on guns/ammo and the lines to get into one is long with wait times up to an hour or two. And for the people that want to do a Private Party Transfer on a firearm, good luck. Because I called 4 gun shops around me and they all either said they are not doing PPT at all at this time or have to make an appointment for weeks out. Understandly so because PPT can take up to 30 minutes to complete if the parties have all the right paper works and the gun shop only makes $10 from the transaction. The rest of the fee goes to the state. So I can see why gun shops are not accepting PPT, because they have no many customers in line trying to purchase a firearm, which will yield much higher profit than $10 on a PPT. Luckily I came across Glaser Arms. I called beforehand and to my relief, they said they accept PPT. I showed up with the buyer of my gun before they opened at 10 am. We were the first customers of the day. Got in and out in less than 15 minutes! My advice for all those that need to do PPT in these times is - come here. And come here when they open at 10 am if you want to avoid lines and get the transaction complete fast. They also don't over charge on the PPT fee, which some gun stores are currently doing. Great gun store and staff. Very fast and efficient. I will be back. read more

I really love this facility, mainly because of the great customer service. I just moved to the area, and what better way to get settled in a new community by receiving such great service. The gentleman that assist me was welcoming, warm and very eager to satisfy my customer needs. I appreciate businesses like this and hope this place never goes away. If you're tired of other businesses lack luster of customer service and arrogance, please consider this shop as a much more pleasant option. You won't regret it. Cheers! Happy Customer!!!! read more

Zachary in person is much more personable than on the phone. I understand now after being in line in his shop and watching him answer phone calls every 10 minutes or so. At least he picks up the phone unlike a lot of other gun shops. Zachary's a no-pressure kind of guy and is glad to help newbies on purchasing their first firearm. Had my pistol and ammo transferred here without a hitch! Support this shop! Would come back here again! read more

Friendly and professional customer service. Highly recommend this store. I will continue to do business here.

I appreciate this shop. Every time I come by Zach is super friendly and helpful. Had some work done here on one of my rifles. Great quality service, and got it done pretty quickly. I highly recommend this place! read more

I came in for the first time right after the shelves and display cases had been largely emptied by COVID-19 panic buyers. I was greeted warmly and had a great experience conversing with the owner. I did end up finding a rifle I liked and received top notch customer service from purchase through pick up after the waiting period. read more

Been here a few times. Zach is a straight forward guy that doesn't try to upsell you. He is very knowledgeable and answered and questions I had. I had a Glock sent to him to do a FFL transfer and it went smoothly. After the waiting period, I went there to pick it up and he went over all the safety and functions of the pistol. I've had ammo shipped there and picked up no problems also. read more

Zach is GREAT! He's friendly, knowledgable, and very eager to share his wealth of knowledge. I came in not expecting much, and despite having limited inventory on hand, I left with EXACTLY everything that I was looking for and did research on! The visit made my day! Excited to see how his shop will grow and I will surely be going to him for my future firearm needs. Support your local gun shops, but more importantly, support Zach, a great local business owner! read more
