Lance's fitting made a huge difference for me, he's knowledgeable and very happy to explain the mechanics of your gun. Couldn't be happier.

I always saw lance in his trailer working on guns and I finally was curious on what he would say about my shotgun.

The majority of the time was spent on shooting. Yes, they did give us a safety briefing but it was mainly shooting. They were very patient, especially to my nervous girlfriend. It's been well over 3 days now and they still talking about how much fun they had. Next time I'll have them teach them shotguns. I highly recommend them especially nowadays.

I highly recommend this class for anyone who wants to know how to properly use firearms. Also, I think this class would be very beneficial for women who want to learn defensive shooting! This class is informative and fun. Chuck was very professional and knowledgeable and so was his colleague Mr. Anderson. The class was from 10-5 but the time went by quick. Definitely would go again! Check them out!

We had aproximately 16 ladies in class, and after the morning instruction, had about 2+ hours of shooting, with various volunteer instructors practicing with various guns (aprox 20). This is really great with those of us in the market to purchase a pistol or rifle, and learn what is a good fit or not. The class was very informative, low cost considering the amount of information and safety training you get, feed us breakfast and lunch, and we didn't have to bring our own fire arms, unless we wanted to. As a bonus, we had a Ladies Shoot night for those of us who are already gun owners, and for 2+ hours after USI Range hours, we had full access to practice shooting our own fire arms, with guidance from the well trained volunteer instructors , which was extremely helpful for us newbies!!! I can't say enough great things about our instructors Chris and Blade, and all the Volunteer Expert Coaches! Seperate from the Women's Classes and Shooting event, the club is run by just a really nice family oriented group of people. They have monthly meetings, potlucks, and lots of activities to keep everyone interested. All very kind, and willing to help out a newbie in learning a new sports and self defense. Anyone thinking of owning a fire arm should come take their classes and seriously consider joining their Diablo Rod & Gun Club! You won't be disappointed!!!

Then in the afternoon they had several coaches bring guns and we were able to try them all while being trained at the same time. Blade stayed after and helped me with my new gun my husband bought me. You could see he really cares. All of them did. I am looking forward to practicing again and Chris and Blade even offered to meet us to help us learn. I highly recommend this class. All women should go through this whether you want a gun or not. There were all ages from mother and daughter to your grandmother. Zero skills to people with skills. My confidence has gone way up since I understand more what it's about, the gun, and safety rules. Again, whether you believe in guns or deathly afraid, after this class it will give you the understanding of safety and handling. They have classes for younger kids too. Sign em up!

The staff were incredibly welcoming, patient, and helpful, which made a huge difference as a first-timer. Huge shoutout to Mark Francisco for taking the time to teach my son and me the fundamentals. He explained everything clearly and made us feel comfortable and safe the entire time. Thanks to Mark's guidance, we left feeling confident shooting and had so much fun. I recently got into this sport, and this experience definitely made me want to keep going. We will definitely be back!

My first visit to this range was a great experience. We did our research online beforehand, watched…read morethe required safety videos, and completed the waivers, which made the check-in process smooth and efficient. We arrived on a Sunday around 2:00 p.m., and parking was easy. There was a short line at check-in, but with two staff members working the counter, the wait only took a few minutes. They issued a range card to streamline future visits. The rules are clearly explained, and they expect everyone to follow them. The staff were professional, friendly, and focused on safety while also offering helpful suggestions and assistance. I brought my 1970 Winchester Model 94 Saddle Rifle .30-30, along with my grandfather's 1950 Marlin Model 336 .30-30, which I had just gotten back from the gunsmith after having a new firing pin installed. The range provides large cardboard targets designed for their rifle target system. During cease-fire, shooters walk downrange and place their targets between plastic poles at distances of 25, 50, 75, or 100 yards. I chose the 50-yard range. You can also bring your own targets to tape onto the provided backers, so bringing tape and extra targets if you like. A spotting scope or binoculars is also helpful. My Winchester was shooting dead on. I struggled a bit with the Marlin, but it was my first time shooting it and the rear sight definitely needs some adjustment. We had a great time. I appreciated the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Unlike some other ranges I've visited, I didn't feel any tension during check-in or while on the line. Just follow the rules. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I'll definitely be back soon to shoot handguns.

Having…read morelived in Walnut Creek for a few years, I was actually surprised to see that this place exists. It's real and they've been in business for 10 years or so. Ronnie was super friendly when I reached out to him. Apparently, he communicates via text only which is totally fine. He was able to communicate everything needed to properly purchase. I also appreciated that he texted a picture of the back of the building because the location is tucked inside of a block and hard to navigate if you've never been there before. Michelle helped me out with paperwork and she was super friendly. They both treated me very well and were very helpful when it came to helping me with my transaction. While their transfer fee is the most I've ever paid, it's important for me to support local shops like this, and because they're appointment only, it feels good to be the only person in the store. Overall, I plan to have all of my future online purchases go through this shop. This is an A+ establishment. Some tips for people considering coming here: - Ronnie is text only, but is pretty quick to respond. - The building that they're in isn't exactly visible from the street. - Ronnie doesn't sell to people who hunt animals and is pretty transparent about that. - They're cash only.

As a first-time buyer, I had a lot of questions, and Ronnie took the time to walk me through safety, components, what to look for, current regulations, and responsible ownership. Being former law enforcement, he really emphasizes education and making sure people understand both the responsibility and the laws that come with firearm ownership. They've moved away from the traditional storefront model and are more selective with who they work with, which made the experience feel much more personal and trustworthy. They're also great for transfers and ammo. They didn't just sell me a firearm and send me on my way...they connected me with trusted people for training, cleaning, and maintenance as well.

It has guns/ammo/reloading supplies and accessories. What makes the shop unique is that they have a lot of stuff in new guns/used guns/consignment. I came here because my friend was able to find that they have the gun he wanted whereas everywhere else pretty much sold out. I happened to find something here also not found anywhere else. They have this no haggle policy posted everywhere so at least it saves you the trouble of wanting to get a "deal." The price is standard but not over priced. They also helped me to ship a gun that needed to go back to factory even though they didn't sell the gun (which is interesting because some stores won't do it unless you bought the gun there). They did charge me but it's not super expensive and they don't charge anything extra like storage fees or other processing fee so I considered it fair. Once again they have a lot of stuff and I found a couple items there that are low priced than anywhere else but you have to look for the ones you want. Good service and I like the people there. No BS but not money hungry like the ones near the peninsula. Parking is weird as even though they have the parking lot it's full even in the morning before the store is open but at least you can find parking on the street nearby.
