I relied on that and went well out of my way to get there well before closing, only to learn that they had canceled the transaction earlier that morning. Mistakes happen. But what really bothered me was the response. First they blamed me - they said I was late and this was just their policy, despite *two* voicemails from their team member (Michael) telling me otherwise. The manager (Kevin) then told me that *I'd* need to pay for another background check and initially refused to cover it due to their mistake. I later emailed the store manager, Bill Curtis, to explain what happened and give them an opportunity to address it. He did not respond. I don't live anywhere near the store. I relied on their representations and wasted a good part of my day. I'd think twice about trusting them and doing business with them in the future.

While their transfer fee is the most I've ever paid, it's important for me to support local shops like this, and because they're appointment only, it feels good to be the only person in the store. I'm sure my fellow Californians have found themselves in search of a particular weapon and just can't seem to get lucky enough to find one in stock anywhere. For me it's been the Smith and Wesson M&P shield 2.0 9mm as well as any AR10. Especially the AR10. To my disbelief I quickly notice an AR10 sitting in the showcase. I ask to see it and Bobby Jr wastes no time showing it to me. He gives me a quick breakdown of the weapon and hands it over. I mention how I've been on the lookout for one of these rifles and am astounded it's here. Jokingly I ask "what else have you guys got hiding around here?". Bobby Jr. turns and says "we just got some new shield 2.0 9mm in stock this morning". I couldn't believe it. Long story short, I pick them both up in ten days... There was also many notable mentions in stock of various caliber and platform. They even had the new Caniks in stock and they look very slick! Get ready for the cherry on top boys and girls because the prices here are same if not even better than the big name stores and that's verified. I was excited to shoot my first match, which was what I was initially here for. I had a great time…read moreoverall, but there was one incident I was bit taken back It was almost end of the day, and I believe the shooter was one the DAP Ranger officers, I believe Ed was his name? A tall Asian guy was on the timer. Before everyone was back behind the RO, the shooter Ed drew his gun before the timer guy said "make ready". The shooter holstered his gun and stormed off in a frenzy - not sure why. He went face to face with the timer guy yelling "I'm a range officer I should know better! I know you said make ready!" The timer guy, tablet guy and another shooter confirmed that there was no command given before he drew the gun to load & make ready. The Asian timer guy was trying to de escalate and responded in kindness telling the shooter Ed "Hey it's alright, not trying to disqualify you, i'm just letting you know no command was given. we want you to shoot. we can treat this as miscommunication" Eventually it de escalated but it was a weird interaction just had a sour mood the whole day. He was actually being nice about it. I don't know what his position was at the club, but he was pretty calm, collected and safe.This kind of put a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure I'd want to refer anyone to shoot at the matches here but the rest of the range is great.
