Had Chad install a set of front and rear sights on my Glock. I know sight installation is a pretty simple job, but I didn't want to buy the tools for something I might only use once, and I definitely didn't want to risk installing them crooked or having them misaligned. He clearly knew what he was doing and got everything installed properly. The sights came out straight and exactly how I wanted them. No unnecessary sales pitch, no BS, no overcomplicating a simple job. Just straightforward, solid work and good results. I had a good experience and would definitely bring another firearm here if I needed gunsmithing work done. read more

TL:DR - Great Service! Awesome service on a Sunday when I did not think anyone was available and resigned to a weekday event. Surprised at the fast response and even better results. Chad repaired my Ruger revolver front sight which had broken off. The solder repair was done with care to preserve the finish and I couldn't be happier with the results. Chad also cleaned and serviced my matched pair of Vaqueros. Fast turnaround, fair pricing and just great customer service. I highly recommend Chad and Precision Arms gunsmithing. read more

Excellent Service and excellent communication. I highly recommend Chad / Precision Arms Gunsmithing. Called to discuss having a heavy stainless varmint barrel cut and crowned. Great communicator, could tell he clearly knew his stuff. Took barrel to him shortly after. Got a call a week ahead of schedule that my job was done. End product was / is perfect. I'm an existing customer of Chad. The front sight on one of my pistols worked itself loose (probably was loose from the factory) so had shifted to the right considerably. Chad got me in right away and expertly fixed it so I won't have to worry about it in the future! And being a really nice and standup guy didn't even charge me! I highly recommend Chad for all of your gunsmithing needs! JB read more

Precision Arms Gunsmithing is a godsend. I needed an AR upper built quickly for a class I'm taking this coming weekend out of state. The spot opened for me last minute and I really wanted to take this new upper with me to put it through its paces. My regular gunsmith is out of town and I called 2 other business near Brentwood but no one could do it right away and some places were 2-months out. I was beginning to lose hope that's until I discovered PAG. I called PAG at 10:30am, told Chad the owner what I needed and why I needed it right away. I came by his shop at 11:00am and dropped off the pieces for the upper build. He called me at 12:15pm and told me the upper was ready to go. I couldn't believe it. Chad is the man. His work is excellent, prices are very reasonable, and again the work speaks for itself. I was so impressed I asked what other services he provides. He does it all including cerakoting. Glad there are still some great people out there doing this job. read more

Chad's reputation proceeds him. I'm truly impressed with his work, professionalism and knowledge. I came to him with a couple a projects and he finished them the same day! Never had an experience like that with any other gun smith, and the best part is he's local so I don't have to drive that far. He's officially my go to guy when it comes to guns moving foward. read more

Precision Arms Gunsmithing - He cerakoted my p320 (top) and installed my punisher pistol grips on my p220 (bottom) - Gunsmith Near Me

5/5 Stars - Excellent Work and Great Service! I recently took two pistols to Precision Arms Gunsmithing after running into frustrating issues. On one, the optic screws on the mounting plate were completely stripped, and on the other, a screw had broken off entirely classic headaches that can turn into big problems if not handled right. Chad got right to work and fixed everything in a timely manner no long waits or excuses. He extracted the broken screw, dealt with the stripped threads professionally, and even went the extra mile by zeroing my green dot sight for me afterward. The work was clean, precise, and done right the first time. Chad is clearly skilled, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about getting customers sorted out properly. Fair pricing, quick turnaround, and top-notch results. I'll definitely be back for more work in the future and am happy to send business his way. Highly recommend Precision Arms Gunsmithing--Chad is the real deal! If you're in the Bay Area and need reliable gunsmithing, look no further. read more

Like other reviewers, I'm also happy I found Chad! Chad managed to diagnose two annoying problems in two different weapons and didn't charge me an arm and a leg trying to rebuild them needlessly. He definitely knows what he's doing and is super humble about it. If you need work done on a firearm, from repairs to installing some cool new bits and bobs, he's your man. read more

I wrote a review for him earlier 5 stars great guy easy to deal with definitely use him again in fact next week we are doing another project

Chad responded quickly with a quote for my request to cut barrel threads on my rifle, so I visited the next morning to drop it off. He's fun to chat with, and knows a ton about every aspect of gunsmithing. He called me back the very *next day* to let me know that the work was done, which was amazing. The quality was excellent, and it was a very reasonable price for the work done. He's a pro who clearly takes pride in his work. I'd be happy to use his services again for any other gunsmithing project that comes up. read more

Service is good very knowledgeable. Quality A1. Easy transaction Chad is very nice. And he is local huge plus.

I brought my 2011 in for some work, and the gunsmith did an amazing job. Not only was the quality of the work top-notch, but he also saved me a trip by getting everything done the same day. Professional, knowledgeable, and efficient--I couldn't be happier with the experience. Highly recommend! read more

FIRST AND FOREMOST: Don't call this dude a "gunsmith." He's an artisan whose medium happens to be firearms. I'm delighted to report I've finally found someone to work with from here on out. THAT SAID: You should see some of his projects. Featherlight triggers. Deluxe custom finishes. Fascinating Frankenguns built from the best features of multiple weapons. BETTER STILL: He's completely chill. Accessible, easy to ask questions, full of insight and advice. I've been shooting since I was 11, but don't consider myself any kind of aficionado or expert. He made me feel comfortable -- no, eager -- to ask all my questions. IN SHORT: Here's a highly skilled guy who is good-natured, easy to talk to, and reasonably priced (especially considering his extremely high level of experience and machine skills). read more

Chad helped me out with shaving down the rails on my Tommy gun for proper fit and putting on a scope mount for my m1a. Super cool dude and does really good work. I highly recommend Chad! read more

I'm really glad I found this guy. While my job was relatively easy (changing sights on a Ruger pistol), it's clear that he's a pro who is proud of his craft. The gun he was working on for me already had a Cerakote finish, but he told me about how he spent several days at Cerakote's facility, learning the process. He responded to my request through Yelp quickly and his communication was professional. I highly recomend Chad for anyone who needs a gunsmith. read more

Chad is a great gunsmith and a really good guy. I'm happy to have found an armorer so knowledgeable and skilled, so I don't have to try to futz around with my firearms myself. Well worth the drive out to his shop in the beautiful hilly countryside. If I could give more than five stars, I would. read more

Chad is incredibly skilled at what he does and genuinely friendly to work with. It's rare to find a gunsmith with both honesty and years of hands-on experience. Chad is awesome! Give him a call or contact him on Yelp, and he should be able to get back to you pretty quickly. I had a small job involving a muzzle brake replacement, which didn't take much time. While waiting, I chatted with Chad in his workshop and found out we went to the same high school--plenty to talk about and reminisce about our school and the area. I'll definitely be going back to Chad for future projects! read more

Chad changed the trigger on my P365 and cleaned and tuned it up. He had the gun back to me earlier than promised and the quality of his work was excellent. Chad is a consummate professional who knows his craft and is a great person to have a conversation with while he's working on your gun. I needed to upgrade the sights on my gun and Chad was able to do the job quickly while I waited and all at a good price. I will be taking my other gun to him for a similar job and any future gunsmithing needs I may have. Chad's passion for his craft is evident the first time you meet him and he has all the tools he needs to get things done. He is also very flexible with his hours and I was able to make a same day appointment, which was greatly appreciated. I have had a great mechanic for over twenty years and now I can add a great gunsmith to that list; I will definitely be back. read more

If you have any gunsmithing needs, look no further. I needed to remove an a2 front sight post off of my ar15 in order to install a free float handguard. Though it may sound like an easy job, no other gunsmithing shops even gave me the time of day, which ultimately led me to Chad at Precision Arms Gunsmithing. The workmanship that comes from Chad is excellent. He does a wide variety gunsmithing, along with cerakoting. I would definitely come back in the future for any firearm related needs. read more
