Went to Trim Tab and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is laid-back, welcoming, and the kind of place you can easily spend a few hours in. Whether you're going with friends or just stopping by to unwind, it has that relaxed energy that makes you want to stay awhile. The beer selection has a good range to choose from if you're into trying different things . The don't have many light options which is more my speed. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the staff seemed genuinely passionate about the beer they were serving. I've been here so many times over the years. Although I still am not a beer drinker, their menu now includes seltzers and a lot of pretty mocktails that look delicious. This is a nice place to come meet up with friends on a Friday night and socialize while also attending some of the events this brewery offers. I was there ahead of schedule so I just got myself a beer. One of the employee let me try a sample before I decided on the beer I liked. The vibe here sucks. The decor is bare and lame, and God forbid you show up when there aren't any food trucks. The decorations for Mardi Gras are kind of half-assed. Beer selection isn't my favorite either, but I could see how other people would like it. It's crazy to me that this place has been around so long. Beer was alright, not the best but not the worst, only tried four of them there on tap, but have had their stuff in cans. Like some others said the beer could have been served colder. The place itself was pretty dumpy, a lot of breweries do that industrial warehouse look, but this place was very dirty, especially the outside area. Cigarette butts all over, dirty tables. Dogs running around off leash. Bartender was super friendly and gave good advice. Side note I'm not sure if the paradise chow is a permanent food truck or just long term or what but it was really really bad do not order. Wings were cold, fries so salty you couldn't eat them, horrible mozzarella and the harvest bowl was inedible. read more

Trim tab is my probably favorite brewery in Birmingham! They always have rotating taps and small batch releases very often. The small batch releases are always very fun and unique beers and bring a good crowd for people to try them out because they are funky. They recently redid part of the outside and added coverage on the patio and it has made the area even better. I really like that they also hang local art for sale inside the brewery tasting room. Such a relaxed vibe and it is also dog and family friendly! They host a bunch of events as well as weekly trivia so there's always something going on, which is super fun! My two favorite beers are the paradise now and the cloud architecture. read more

How this place stays in business is as good as your guess as it is mine.. I once upon a time enjoyed trim tab a lot. There was a good variety of beer that weren't just sours and ipas. Some good ones that come to mind were a Smores brew and a bourbon barrel aged stout. Ever since about 2019 they've only produced sour beer and haven't bothered to go back until the dog Halloween party . Dogs and costumes makes everything fun right? Not at trim tab. They really knew how to make a not fun event. The vendors took up all the seating space so there was no room to sit. They didn't play any music - not even just some tunes in the background so the ambiance is awkward. Really? No music for a Halloween themed event? Lastly, and Trim Tab can't help it.. all the clientele here is very mean and aloof. You'd think people with costumed dogs would be the happiest people alive. I've never seen so many people so miserable at a dog Halloween party. Very strange vibes at this place and sadly I really don't have a reason to go back. read more

It was a Friday night and it was quite chilly. Trim Tab provides fire pits and fire wood to gather round, and nothing beats an open fire on a fall evening. The beer was great, and service was good. Stopped in on a nice sunny day to check out Trim Tab. The outdoor seating is really nice and there are a lot of areas where you can setup a private event or a semi-private group event. The tasting room is huge and they have a food truck onsite. As for the beer, I wasn't a huge fan, but I also am very picky about beer. They didn't have anything mild enough for my palate, but I liked the ambience and we enjoyed sitting at the coveted tables outside. read more

I took home a 4 pack of Peach Ring beer and while I was at the establishment, I had a beer with Lavender and Earl Grey tea in it that was as delicious as it was interesting. The bartenders were extra friendly and helpful and great conversationalists as you would expect one working in that capacity to be. The seating area outside was especially cozy with a rustic vibe. This was such a cool place. We came to Talladega for race weekend and decided to venture out see some sights. I saw this beer at grocery store here and wanted to try it before purchasing. Has a cute tiki kinda vibe.. lots of beers with fruit notes but they have something for everyone. My hubby found a beer he liked when we both got flights. That's best way to see what you like! We stopped by Trim Tab Brewing on our recent visit near the area and love this spot! The associates were welcoming and so was the space. Let's start with the interior- how fun and colorful is all the art inside??? Their outdoor space had plenty of seating options from picnic tables for larger groups and spots for smaller groups. I liked that pets are welcome out there and they even had a spot for you to fill up their bowls of water - too sweet! Their beer is refreshing but because we visited on a pedal bike bar tour, I only had the chance to try one. I got the Agave Lager which is a Mexican-style lager and it was exactly what I needed on a hot day. It was simple and had a great taste. I also really enjoyed their apparel section. I got a fun shirt and they have a separate counter to purchase these items rather than holding up the beer line- so smart. All around, we had a great experience and we can't wait to come back to try more beers and enjoy the large outside space! read more

Trim Tab is awesome! I am so happy I came across this place on a road trip recently. One of my favorite things to do is check out different breweries in different cities whenever I travel- and I must say, Trim Tab definitely impressed me. First off, their taproom has such cool vibes. Disco balls, cool lighting and art, awesome tunes on the inside- also have a large patio area as well. It's BYOF (i think sometimes they have food trucks) and it's dog friendly! One of two breweries that was recommended by a local beer connoisseur, I have to admit, he is correct. I visited on a weekday afternoon so I was the only one for two hours. Selection of beer is awesome and it definitely adds to "magic" of Birmingham's beer scene. In addition to the IPA that I imbibed, I left with a 32 oz growler filled with a very flavorful German lager. Located on the edge of downtown Birmingham what seems to be a converted warehouse, the tap house/lounge area is relatively large, making it a great place to socialize after work or for a get together. read more
