And something I learned about while imbibing on the bar, Good People's has been hugely successful and has acquired a few other breweries in the local area...which means some are available on tap. They had some barstools, but for the most part Avondale is BYO chair. I brought a towel to sit on. The upper deck was nice because it was shady on a hot day. Then, you're only one flight of stairs away from the bar right below. Avondale makes great beers. I had a Sour Pash, one of my favs, and a couple cans of Porch Light, made by Cahaba Brewing's company. In addition to great beers and drinks, I was hungry for some food. The nearly always have 1-3 food trucks parked right on the lawn, and they offer Miracle Pizza now! I ordered from a QR code inside, and Miracle brought the pizza over from right next door. It was delicious, too! They make a great pizza. It was fairly empty when we got here at 11:30, but by 3:30 it was buzzing with SEC fans of all teams.
