Entrance to the Vegan Festival hosted
Demetria R.

I attended the Vegan Festival hosted by Cahaba Brewing and I was so impressed with the amount of vendors available. The different food choices were amazing along with the family type atmosphere. Definitely a day to try some vegetarian alternatives to your favorite dishes.i would definitely attend this event again.

This is another wonderful micro brewery in Birmingham. Nothing fancy, this working brewery is an old warehouse in the Forest Park/Crestwood neighborhood. One thing that I like is how much space and seating is available. There is seating outdoors on the old loading dock, and inside the large space is filled with long picnic tables, couches, and high tops. There is also seating at the bar. The is a good venue for hosting large events. I have attended the Episcopal Palace's annual Gumbo Gala, and Hand in Paw's Barktoberfest every October. There is no in-house food, but they often have a food truck parked outside, The beer menu is very nice. Their most popular beer is the Cahaba Blond, which can be found throughout the city. I like trying their unique and seasonal brews. Today I tried the Peanut Porter, and I thought it was very good. They also offer five or six cocktails as an alternative to the beers.

This brewery is awesome! We enjoy coming to give the kids a place to enjoy and we can grab a drink comfortably. They have several drink options from beer to cocktails. I went with a lemonade vodka drink this time and it was pretty tasty! They have wonderful service that is quick and never overcrowded. I like the games they offer with the pinball to skeeball. We frequent this location often and have never been disappointed!

I came here for a street festival on a Saturday afternoon. This is a great spot to just hang out and chill. You can also have birthday parties here no matter the age limit. They do have a food truck on site for you to grab something to eat. I am a wine drinker and unfortunately all they do is serve beer and mixed drinks. But if you're looking for a cool spot to hang out with friends, this is the place.

One of my fav thing to do on Saturday- is to visit a brewery! Cahaba Brewing Company is one of my fav breweries in Bham. It's spacious and nice outdoor sitting area. They have a good selection of beer options as well as cocktails! Also, my dog love people watching here!

Always a good time at Cahaba! They have not only beer but also cocktails for non beer drinkers like me. They have lots of events here too.

Front entrance - view from large front patio that leads down to food truck.

One of stops on our Birmingham Brewery Crawl. We took an Uber air we didn't have to worry about parking. Did not appear to be a lot of spaces. Also, it's kinda tucked down from the road so our driver missed it on the first pass. But, make sure to find it!! Great spot. A huge covered front porch? Patio? Not sure what to define it as because it is so massive. The food truck sits at the far end. We sat inside to start. They had a music game going on with a DJ of some sort. But thank goodness, it was not too loud. I have been to many places where they do music bingo but they play the music so loud it rattles the fillings in your teeth. :-) The area inside is wide open as well. I had the Peanut Porter beer and it was fantastic!! I highly recommend this place. The food truck was awesome as well.

Good selection of beers and food is close by if the on-site food truck isn't open. Would recommend for group get together.

Influencer Davida's Diary invited me to her H&R Block Event at the Brewery! I had a marvelous time! The vibes and drinks were awesome! The beer selections were pretty amazing. I tried one before I left. They have Skeet Ball Games, lounge sections and you can see the Brewery!!!

This isn't just a brewery but it's an event space for things like young professional meetups, drag shows, puzzle nights and trivia, fun runs etc... It can be hard to decide where you want to sit after coming in as you go through the laid back patio (although the trains are sometimes loud) or inside where you're greeted with neon lights and retro futuristic vibes. Just like the beer, there is no bad option. There are many beers to choose from, which are frequently rotating but no worries, some of the fan favorites like Dr. Robot are constantly on tap. There are beers made specifically for the Birmingham location as well. If beer isn't your thing there are Margaritas and cocktails. There's also plenty of food. The tacos aren't going to win over my Abuela's heart but they are serviceable. I typically go with the nachos though. I always hear how good the Patty Melt but every time I go to order one they are out of hamburger patties. There is almost always something going on, or some type of happy hour/deal. Any night is a good night at Monday night!

Love Back Forty, along with the rest of Birmingham. There's always so much going on here,…read moreespecially when the weather is good. Tons of kids and dogs outside. People often host their own little parties and events at the picnic tables here. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and it seemed like a lot of families came for lunch and to hang out after church. The food here is certainly impressive food for a bar to me. I love the wood fired pizzas. I will say, I think the size is a bit awkward. They're a little too big to be a single serving, and a little too small to be for two people. The beer is all good. Service at the bar always friendly. The fries here are some of my favorite in town. Shoestring.

They've got a huge selection of beers and a full dinner menu, so there's something for just about everyone. Whether you're coming for drinks or planning to eat, you won't feel limited. Parking is plentiful, which is always a win in Birmingham, and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It works well for small groups or larger parties. One thing to know going in: this isn't really a full-service setup. You order and pick up your own food, and aside from someone occasionally clearing empty pint glasses, there's not much table service. We actually didn't receive utensils with our food and had to go back up to the counter to grab some. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. I ordered the catfish sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself was delicious -- crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. My only small gripe was that it came in a to-go box. I understand it probably makes cleanup easier for them, but it does take away a bit from the dine-in experience. The fries were shoestring style, which just aren't my personal favorite. They're fine, but I always feel like I need about three handfuls to feel satisfied. We went on a Saturday night and the brewery was packed -- and I mean packed. It was very loud and definitely more of a party atmosphere than a relaxing dinner vibe. If you're looking for a quiet night out, this probably isn't it. But if you want energy, beer, sports on TV, and a fun crowd, this place delivers. Overall, it's a great hangout spot to catch a game, grab a drink, and enjoy good food -- just expect a lively, high-energy scene.

I wanted to love this place SO BAD!! There's an attached arcade!!…read moreAnd the staff was SO NICE and friendly and helpful and I loved the industrial, creative decor. But we'd spent the day at McWane Center and we were starving so we were there to EAT! The food looked gorgeous but it tasted very meh. The onion rings had too much breading on them, which I didn't think was possible, but here we are. The part of the breading next to the onion was mushy so that threw off the texture of the whole thing too. The burger was very much like a Whataburger. Even the lettuce smelled the same. I got The Standard and the bun of the burger was a little mushy (similar to Whataburger) and there was not much meat. For an $11 burger, I'm expecting more than a Whataburger. My middle kid likes everything on her burger and isn't picky at all and the loaded kid burger looked impressive but it was about the same as mine. Not awful, but not very good either. Very close to the same amount of meat. She's the queen of the Clean Plate Club and she only ate half. The fries were good but a somewhat too salty, the dip that came with the onion rings was excellent and we ended up using it for the fries. We had 2 adults and 3 kids and our meal was $63 before tip for 5 waters, 2 adult burgers, 2 kid burgers, a kid grilled cheese, and a basket of fries and onion rings (I thought I was ordering a "side" of fries, not realizing I actually ordered a basket and it was a lot of fries and onion rings). We don't mind spending money on good food, but the prices here don't align with what you get. No one was more disappointed than me, I've been wanting to eat here for FOREVER!!!
