This is the place to go if you're even considering smoking a pipe. Second, there's none of that "vape" nonsense here. This is an actual tobacco shop. Go to your hipster tattoo parlor for that stuff. Third, these are folks you'd like to hang out with. They are connected directly to the finest tobacco producers in the world. For instance, this spring, one of the employees got to go hang out at a tobacco plantation in Nicaragua and smoke cigars all day for a weekend, all for free. I figure if the cigar plantations want the Briary's business that badly, this is clearly the place to go. Finally, these guys have been in business for as long as I can remember, and I'm 52. Do you remember The Tinder Box at Brookwood Mall in the 80s? That was these guys, until they got tired of paying mall rent. So, as it turns out, you can actually buy the same cigar here for less than you could find it at other places in town, because these guys own their own building and don't have to pay rent. They clearly know their product. I've gotten great advice, as well as some sympathy when a friend was suckered into buying some fake Cuban cigars. So, my advice is to come here, where they are honest and knowledgeable enough to tell you the truth.

She even complimented my Studio Ghibli sweater, which totally made my day! It's rare to find a shop with both amazing inventory and a welcoming atmosphere, but this place nails it. Highly recommend stopping by. You'll definitely leave with something you love!

I'm disabled and sometimes my friend will run to the store for me. The clerk ran my debit card but never gave my friend all the merchandise.-- he said the card had been declined. I could see the charge on my statement. When I called, the clerk answering the phone denied this and told me I'd have to come in person. I explained this was impossible and that my friend would be coming by. Short story-- no merchandise. Not a huge amount of money, but not nothing, plus the inconvenience. While…read morethe selection is adequate and includes most standard products, I have found it to be somewhat more limited than the inventory available at the Mountain Brook ABC Store. One area for improvement is product availability. I enjoy Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur and was disappointed to learn that this location does not stock it or offer the ability to request special orders. By comparison, other liquor stores allow you to request certain products and the Mountain Brook ABC Store consistently carries Solerno Liquor. Additionally, customer service could be improved. As it is now, the ambiance of the store does not encourage customers to spend more money. It encourages them to get out as quickly as possible. A greater emphasis on professionalism, courtesy, and customer engagement would enhance the overall shopping experience. While the store meets basic needs, there is room for improvement in both customer service and product flexibility. I recommend this as a liquor store if it is the closest. Just get in and out as quickly as possible. Their selection is less than that of the Mountain Brook Store but they have most things.
