If I could put heart eye emojis in my Yelp reviews, I would have definitely incorporated them just to fully express how much I love this business. I recently got a chinchilla and want him to eat quality hay and pellets since their diet is rather simple and limited to what they can eat. I was going to go to a local farm or something of that sort to get him his timothy hay but came across this place on Yelp and WOW. This little corner of Glendale made me feel like I was up north in Paso Robles! Local neighbors were riding their horses nearby and the entire atmosphere is a vibe you want to be a part of! Please support this establishment if you have any animal that grazes on grass or hay because it is truly a business I want to see more of. TriKee Tack has set the standard for what quality food for animals is and I look forward to stopping by often to pick up my little puff balls food! Thank you to the beautiful Tristina and the amazing staff here for being so welcoming and answering my questions about their products and even giving my baby an alfalfa cube to take home! We are both so happy. Pro-tip: If the store doesn't carry a specific item your pet needs, they can order it for you! I plan to place another order soon for Oxbow pellets so I know my money is going to a business that loves and respects animals unlike Petco and other large corporations that see our furry friends as $$ and not family. Thank you again TriKee Tack!! See you soon.

Huge bag for 8 bucks !

We came here to get hay for our bunnies and omg !!! Their hay is great quality, fresh and such a great deal! I wish I knew about them sooner because their prices are cheaper than anywhere else I've ever gotten hay from!

Had to get some food for my bunnies urgently and this place was the closest. Opening hour has been changed to 10am so I made small talk with my bunnies while waiting for the store to open. I got a 10 lb bag of alfalfa hay and a small (5 lb) bag of Oxbow young adult rabbit pellets. Overall, customer services, quality, and prices are decent, but I'll be getting my alfalfa going forward at my usual place in El Monte.

It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's well worth it. Everyone there is so helpful and nice. And the prices for hay and bedding are amazing.

Excellent customer service. Hay is cheap and good quality. Can return it if your pet doesn't like it. Best prices on wood chips too.

I am happy to have a place to get chicken food and rabbit hay so close. The hay for rabbits is much much cheaper than PetCo.

Ask the Community - TriKee Tack

Do you sell timothy or oat hay preferably timothy hay? and if so how much money would it be per ounce or pounds?

Yes they do and the quality is amazing. Pricing is definitely great. I think it is about 8 dollars for a 10lb bag and they also have a huge box you can get. Just depends on how fast you go through the hay. But all their items are at a great price.

Do they have baby ducks?

No. They only sell baby chicks when they have them.

How much are baby chicks? How much are cages and food for baby chicks?

Chicks can cost $3-$20 each depending on breed and other factors a 50 pound bag of chick starter is about $20 and chicks require a brooder ( a draft proof area with a heat source normally from a heat lamp those vary from homemade set ups to ones you…

LA Horse Rentals - 1 hour oak canyon ride

LA Horse Rentals

(197 reviews)

I didn't know that this place even had a website let alone Yelp. Well, this review is a little past…read moreoverdue. Better late than never. I have always wanted to ride a horse since I was a little kid. Something about horses and myself go hand in hand. They are powerful animals and I like power to a certain extent. Since my son knew how much I have been wanting to ride a horse, he surprised me and got 2 tickets to go to horseback riding. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the tickets. With that being said, him and I went there beginning of this year. You get to choose the duration of the time, what type of horse you want to rent, and once you get on it you also choose the speed how and what you like. As beginners, we went for slow-to medium. It was perfect for an entire hour. Tickets for both adults and kids are $50, per person. Trust me, it's so worth it!! The staff were very welcoming, accommodating, understanding, asked us if we had any previous injuries, cuts, wounds, heart condition before you sign the consent form and get on top of that poor animal that had to take us around and round. We chose to go and see different scenic sites, and it also takes you around Griffith park area. It has many different trails and we asked for ALL or nothing. Who knows when will I ever experience this wonderful pleasure again? We had a great time, it goes straight with a whole hour w/out making any stops. Get some water with you. The only downside is that they don't except any other method of payments except cash. That's ok, it didn't bother us. There is a guide that goes with you to make sure you are safe and so are the horses!! Has parking, restrooms and I am glad that we went on this journey. Hours of operation is every day from 9AM to 5pm. You can make reservations online or just simply go in person. All are welcome!! Forgot the names of our horses though. Thank you all for this WONDERFUL pleasure/experience that you have brought into our lives. Will definitely return next time I am in the mood for some horseback riding.

i treated my sister to the 2 hour amir's garden trail ride for her birthday and it was awesome !!…read morewe had so much fun, our guide was a younger blonde girl with braces and she was super sweet :) my sister and i are complete beginners (i haven't ridden a horse in over a decade, and my sister is 15 and hadn't ever ridden a horse that wasn't being led by a handler). my horse was a lil spicy, but super easy to handle, and my sister's horse was totally peaceful (halfway wonder if they gave her a rlly docile one because she's a minor LOL). only complaint is i think the saddle was a little short and/or the horse was a little small for me ? my legs and ankles were kinda bending inward and were lowk sore the rest of the day T-T will def come back tho, so much fun !!:)

Sunset Ranch Hollywood Stables - Horses

Sunset Ranch Hollywood Stables

Hollywood Hills

A Peaceful & Therapeutic Solo Adventure in the Hollywood Hills!…read more Sometimes the best experiences are the ones you don't plan! I had nothing scheduled for the day, wanted to get out of the house, and decided to do something different. That's when I came across Sunset Ranch Hollywood. A horseback ride through the Hollywood Hills with beautiful views overlooking Los Angeles sounded perfect! I booked it last minute for $75 for a one-hour guided ride, and I'm so glad I did. The best part? I went completely SOLO! I've always enjoyed doing things on my own, and this was no exception. I didn't need to coordinate plans or wait for someone to join me. I simply booked my reservation and showed up. Being surrounded by nature, enjoying the scenery, and getting away from the everyday noise made this experience incredibly peaceful and therapeutic. Going alone didn't take anything away from the experience. If anything, I appreciated it even more. A few things worth knowing before you go: Getting There & Parking: The directions provided are pretty detailed. Once you reach the end of the street, press the button at the gate for entry. From there, you'll drive up a steep, narrow road with limited space for cars passing in opposite directions. Parking is FREE and available along the right side of the hill and in a couple of dirt areas. Park carefully and expect an uphill walk to the ranch entrance. If it's hot outside, that walk might give you a little workout! Check-In & Horseback Riding: You'll need to sign a waiver before participating. Once you arrive, check in at the front with your reservation and wait to be assigned to your group. Helmets are required throughout the ride. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. They assist you with getting on and off your horse and provide a quick refresher on steering before heading out. Although I arrived alone, the ride is done in a group with a guide, so being a solo visitor wasn't an issue at all. The Trail & Views: The ride lasts approximately one hour at a comfortable, steady pace. The horses are trained to follow one another, and a guide accompanies the group. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! However, if you're afraid of heights, be prepared. Some sections of the trail are pretty narrow, with steep hillsides and significant drop-offs. I'm not going to lie, there were moments when I felt a little nervous looking down! I definitely felt more comfortable staying toward the inside of the trail. You follow the trail uphill, turn around at a designated point, and return along the same route. What to Bring: Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes because it's dusty! Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and water. Phones and cameras are allowed, but selfie sticks, tripods, and similar accessories are not. The weather was in the mid-70s during my visit, which made the ride even more enjoyable. Tips & Extras: I didn't notice any snacks available, and I didn't check whether restrooms were provided. I would definitely recommend tipping your guide. The employees work hard, and everyone I encountered was genuinely nice and helpful. Overall, I absolutely loved this experience! What started as a spontaneous decision turned into a beautiful afternoon in the Hollywood Hills. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the incredible views, and the opportunity to experience something different without having to travel far. I think people sometimes assume that doing activities alone means you're lonely, but that's not always the case. I genuinely enjoy my own company, and experiences like this remind me that I don't need someone beside me to have a wonderful time. Would I do it again? Absolutely! I'd happily return solo or bring someone along next time. Whether you're planning a date, an outing with friends, or simply looking for something enjoyable to do on your own, I definitely recommend giving Sunset Ranch Hollywood a try. A beautiful experience, great staff, breathtaking views, and a little adventure right in the heart of Hollywood!

Luckily for us it rained the night before and the views of LA were amazing and clear for miles. Quick tips: Book and early trip to avoid parking issues since spots seem to be limited. Also, bring shoes you don't care for, jeans you don't care to get dirty and some sun screen. Use the bathroom prior to arriving. And tip your tour guides.
