Horrible customer service. Do not recommend at all. Very disappointed as I have been with their partners RP for years and was interested in becoming a long term loyal customer of theirs however after the service I received from Kenzie Rigney I will never do business here again and I highly recommend no one else does either. There are other expensive food prep companies that will actually take care of their customers, unlike trifecta. I have been using Trifecta for the last three months. I subscribe to their Paleo track and I receive shipments every other week. I chose every other week, because I like to cook. These Paleo meals are quick and easy for grab and go to work. They microwave in 2 to 3 minutes and this allows me a healthy and tasty option for meals, instead of the unhealthy, bad food at my work's cafeteria. In addition, I am able to stay away from the cafeteria and the general public, which is good during this time (coronavirus pandemic). Receiving these meals also allows me to stay away from the grocery store, as I don't need to shop very much. Trifecta is very flexible. You can skip weeks like I do, you can change from the Paleo track to the classic track if you want to at any time, and you can freeze your meals if you don't need them right away. My only qualm against Trifecta, which is the reason for the four stars, is the nonsustainable packaging in which they come in as well as for the shipment. The shipment is a cardboard box, with Styrofoam lining and multiple biodegradable ice packs inside. The meals are in a plastic tray covered in plastic. I do recycle them when I'm at home, but I throw them away when I am at work. I feel guilty about the environmental effect that this has. The meals themselves are tasty, they are labeled for fat protein and carb content, they are non-GMO and organic. I love that about the meals; they are the healthiest thing you can get on the market. I order five lunches and five dinners, but you can have breakfast as well. There are many coupon codes you can find from sponsored athletes Instagram pages or by just googling for a coupon code online. I found one that provides me with 1 pound of Beef burgers with each shipment I receive. I've been really pleased with all my shipments, I have only had a few repeats of my meals in three months. The repeats themselves are some of my favorites, I'm not sure how they know that! I live in Florida and it's really hot here. I had to work and was unable to get my meals inside for 24 hours on a hot day. When I finally got home, I found the meals were still cold!!! The unsustainable packaging really does work to keep the meals fresh and safe to eat. The ice packs had melted quite a bit, which caused the box to be totally dilapidated and wet, falling apart when I picked it up. So the styrofoam pieces, if they were one solid cooler, would prevent the box from getting wet in this situation. I find the box is typically a little wet even when it hasn't sat out there all day. The ice packs generate condensation as they melt and this water is what is making the box wet. I have tried other meal delivery services including Fia's, which is local to Florida, Fit life foods, and kettlebell kitchen, Which are all premade meals ready to heat up. I would say kettlebell Kitchen has more sustainable packaging but that packaging led to bugs being in my meals because they sat on the porch for a few hours before I got home from work. I had multiple problems with the sustainable packaging arriving in terrible shape and the temperature of the meals was questionable for safety. Fit life foods has very few paleo style meals; most of their meals are way too high in carbs. Fia's was great- reasonably priced and delicious, but not organic and they only delivered to my gym (which I quit going to). I have also tried hello fresh and blue apron, who deliver meal kits to prepare on your own. I also found these to be too high in carb and they don't always include the freshest ingredients. Pretty sure it's not organic either. This style didn't help me for convenience in terms of them being ready to just grab and take to work. So overall, I am very satisfied with Trifecta. They have a team that responds to emails within 24 hours. My tracking number for shipments always seems to end up in my junk mail folder (I had reached out about not receiving it). They have an app to help with meal planning and macro counting. It also contains workouts. You don't need the app to manage your subscription. I don't really use the app. I would recommend trifecta, and I have recommended it to a few friends, some of whom are now subscribing and enjoy it as well. I have a friend who heats up their meals in a sauté pan (see photo below), who says they're better that way. It's just an idea if you don't want to microwave. read more

This week, on separate days, my husband and I both got sick and had an awful reaction after eating the SAME meal called Heirloom Vegetable Quinoa With Mahi. We get two of the same meal every shipment and it was not expired yet based on the label. Also, we ate other meals in the same shipment (salmon) and we're fine. This seems to just be the Mahi Mahi meal. Please look at the pictures of my husband's reaction... this also included a massive headache, drop in blood pressure, racing heart rate, and red itchy rash all over body. I ended up having a panic attack with multiple drops in adrenaline because I was scared and had NO idea what was going on... IF YOU HAVE THIS MEAL IN YOUR FRIDGE -- DO NOT EAT IT! Also, if you've already eaten it, and had the same reaction please pass the word along to others and write reviews about it, or report it to the California public health department. This is not ok and is a public health issue that should be reported. This company clearly does not handle or prepare their food properly. Google "Scombroid toxicity" or "Mahi Mahi flush." All symptoms are what we had. Update 5/8/20: Trifecta responded to this original post with a new message, however, I believe it to be false. I do not have my personal contact information listed on this site, and I am not the primary account holder for Trifecta, my husband is. My husband has not received an email or phone call. In fact, when he called to report it to the company when it happened, he talked to a customer service agent who did not pass the information along, only said that they could provide a refund for the meal. Trifecta, please review your CRM to trace this phone call from my husband. To me, this appears to be a customer service strategy to attempt to show Yelp users that they are doing something to address the issue. Still 4 stars. They included a dish with 12 net carbs (all the rest have been 6 to 7 net carbs). This could be a little too high of you are someone trying to stay under 30ish net carbs. I've had beef, turkey, shrimp, salmon, chicken meatloaf and chicken sausage. For the most part I've been pleased with the flavor of most dishes. The only ones I did not like were the dishes using whole chicken meat ( ie not sausages or meatloaf). When a dish calls for whole chicken (like their chicken Parmesan) they use dark meat thighs and it's a bit slimy and under seasoned. Yuck. Also one of the chicken dishes had turkey bacon, but they did not use quality turkey bacon like Columbus, they used that flavorless Oscar Meyer type that looks like masking tape. So yea. This place has potential. If they upped their chicken and turkey bacon game and made it easier to cancel the service (not just skip months), they'd be real close to 5 stars IMO. read more

Food is very basic. I got paleo. Eggs and sweet potatoes just dry in a box. No flavor. Texture not great. Dinner same: ground turkey dry with sweet potatoes and cabbage. 2 meals were good: beef skillet (chile) and duck confit. I have a freezer full and honestly-cannot bring myself to eat it. At 400/500 calories- I can and do, make better food myself. I don't know who would 'enjoy' these foods. read more

I really wanted to love Trifecta but can't advocate for doing business with this company due to their TERRIBLE customer experience. Trifecta doesn't have an option to allow for you to cancel your subscription yourself. You literally have to call, chat, or email someone. With that said, even when you finally get someone on the line to process your cancellation, it won't go through... Was just charged another $148 for food I don't want. When I emailed about the wrongful charge, they said something around the lines of "you didn't cancel." Um. Yes. I. Did. Luckily I got someone new with my email response and they reimbursed me. One more annoying thing about Trifecta is they tell you you'll get your food n Friday which isn't the case. There were a few times when food arrived on Saturday which is quite frustrating when you are relying on this company for food prep. Food-wise, it's ok. Some are meals certainly better than others. May I preface, I am a big fan of meal delivery services on multiple levels. The Trifecta experience was not pleasant. First of all - the meals are not tasty at all. Taste like hospital food. And my family and I have tried over a dozen. Most have ended up in the trash half eaten. They might be organic, healthy, and nutritionally balanced, but if I can't eat it, I can't derive any of the benefits. The meals came shrink-wrapped in plastic trays, which are supposedly recyclable, but the wrapper most likely is not and it is impossible to remove - according to my local recycling provider - the whole thing needs to be tossed in regular garbage. It also comes with a ton of ice packets, which you can empty out, but the plastic still has to end up in the garbage. Subscriptions need to be canceled or weeks skipped over a week ahead of time, which for me is too far ahead to think about. I finally got the time to call in and cancel the subscription 9hrs after the cutoff on Friday and got stuck with the entire shipment. Customer service wouldn't even give me an option to donate it somewhere or get a partial refund. And canceling a subscription means you actually have to talk to a human over the phone, or over chat to deal with email. You can't cancel or pause within your account which is just not right. If you make your customer jump through hoops to cancel the account, they will just hate you that much more. In addition, even though you are paying possibly hundreds of dollars a week for their meals, you still have to pay for the app subscription if you want the workout features. read more

The vegetarian meals are awful. Weird spice mixes, mushy vegetables, just not tasty at all. I was at first excited that I found a meal program with so many veggie options. But it's literally like they just threw some ingredients together with some strange "spices" and called it a day. Not only that, because you have to give them at least a week's notice to cancel the next week's order, it didn't give me time to try it out first before I continued! I'm a Sports RD and Nutrition Coach and was looking to trial this for my clients. I purchased a week of dinners (Paleo) and I was surprised I received only 3 different dinners and the rest duplicates. All of the meals had the same creamy-looking red sauce. I tried the salmon dinner and it was so horrible, I threw it out. Note that I'm not a picky eater at all, so if I didn't like it there was no way many of my clients would like them. The only redeeming quality is that I called and told them of my concern. The young woman was able to contact a higher up and refund my money and be able to cancel the second order that was automatically generated. I would not recommend this to anyone, or perhaps look at the a lacart? Also note that when I asked to talk to their RD on staff, I was not given their number. So - I have six more dinners I will probably throw out. Very disappointing but good experience. read more

I'm updating my review to address the inaccuracies in the "owner comment" on my prior review. The first problem that happened with my order is that the confirmation contained an inaccurate first delivery date. When I called to find out where my food was-- I received a very apathetic apology and was told I should have known I wouldn't get my food that week because that is what it says on the website. I was pretty frustrated but decided to take delivery (a week late) anyway. When I received my first order and checked out what I received, before even trying the food, I was *extremely* disappointed with the contents of the meals because the macros were off on all of them, by a huge margin (super low in protein and super high in carbs). I immediately attempted to reach customer service by phone. I spent a bunch of time on hold and was eventually disconnected TWICE and then I waited a while before being able to connect with someone on their chat feature-- I really did not want to waste another week and $200 on food we would not eat. They agreed to refund *only* the meals with less than 15 g of protein. I told them at the time this was an unsatisfactory resolution as their website completely, 100%, misrepresents the macros (this was a problem with both the meat and vegetarian meals we ordered). That is before we even get to the horrible taste & preparation of the meals, the fact that I got a bunch of repeats, etc. Customer service was firm that none of the other meals qualified for a refund but said they are revamping the veg meals and would I like a discount on a future box? (um no) I did receive a phone call from someone named Morgan (I think). I returned his call and left a voicemail-- which was never returned. I had hoped they would make things right and refund the money for a product that was not as advertised-- but that just isn't the case. So, for all of that, I disagree with the owner comments that they've tried to reach out "several times" and make it right. They have my info-- they are free to issue a refund at any time which is the only way they can make this right. There isn't really anything else to speak about. I decided to resubscribe to primarily order the meal prep items (my personal favorite is the diced chicken) and added a few of the signature meals as well to retry. I wanted to love this service. I had a call with one of their coaches before I even got my first delivery and he exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately the food did not. I got the keto plan. The first week was ok. I figured you can't love every meal. The second week, without TMI, I got sick after every meal. I thought maybe I was just adjusting to the fat content. I wasn't able to eat all the meals so I shared one with a coworker who was curious. She got sick too. I realized that it was very hot the day it was delivered and some of the ice packs weren't that cold so likely the food was spoiled. I threw out half the week of food. I wanted to cancel for this week since I felt put off by the food after all the stomach issues but was told it was too late. I just got delivery and got 5 of the exact same breakfasts even dated from last week! Iwas told it was because I excluded Turkey and they use Turkey bacon but I never once had Turkey bacon in my previous 14 breakfasts. I excluded Turkey because the Turkey sausages were really gross to me. However, there were other breakfasts, other flavors of frittatas and a beef Chile with eggs. All I got were 5 mushroom and cheddar beef frittatas from last week. At over $15 a meal, this seems lazy with no attention to detail. One star for the coach, one star for refunding the spoiled meals. Edit: just read that a couple people were able to stop their deliveries last minute. I reached out on 4/13 so it was before they shipped. Also disappointing. Hopefully they freeze well because I can't stand the idea of any of these meals. Ditching all 5 breakfasts from this delivery too! read more

I was super excited to finally try trifecta because it look like it was everything I was looking for. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by the overall experience. When I first place my order, it was extremely confusing trying to figure out when I would be receiving my first set of meals. Even though I updated my address minutes after placing my order, the order ended up going to my old apartment. I waited roughly two and a half weeks from when I first placed my order before I actually tried the product. I did receive a refund for the first order but did not receive the $40 discount that I had on the first order. As for the food, it was extremely underwhelming. I went with the vegetarian meal plan and thought that I would receive 10 different vegetarian dishes. Instead, I received 5 different meals, just two of each. The food was extremely oily and didn't taste great. I only ate the first few meals because I wanted to get my moneys worth ($100) but I ended up not eating the rest and just went grocery shopping. I will say, cancelling was easy enough. I called, said I'd like to cancel, and that was it. They didn't try to sell me on any benefits or anything like that. Hello. I hate to do this. I have been ordering from Trifecta for many years, and I have no issues with the food, and I appreciate the service. But, delivery to my house has been a bit of a nightmare. They have been using Fedex, and they appear to be short-staffed and scattered for my area. Right now, I can't even track for some reason, but the Trifecta site is saying my order has been delivered. Sadly, Fedex has been putting my box at my driveway/garage door rather than taking ten extra steps to put on my porch. Last time, I put a sign on my garage door asking to put on my porch, and they did! But not yesterday. :-( I am profoundly disabled, live alone, and it is hard enough to get the box inside from the porch. It is almost impossible to get from my driveway - especially when I don't even know it is there. I should not have to remember to put out a sign on every delivery day. The reason I order prepared meals is due to my disability. UPS is delivering to my porch without issue. read more

Vegan for 25 years. This is unnecessary from most angles UNLESS you live a lifestyle where you couldn't possibly afford the time to cook. In my experience, 90% of those who claim such are just lazy. See those bodybuilders in the company header photos? They're paid. The end. If you're Vegan-Curious, please don't start here. At $10-12 per meal, these are exceptionally over-priced for what's inside. Bland A.F. and with 30% of RDA Sodium in a single meal (Southwest Tofu Quinoa Bowl). How that happens while being bland is bonkers to me. Also ordered the Ginger Citrus Tofu, in which ginger is the only discernible flavor, and the Plant-based Butter Chicken, which has a decent mouth-feel for "chicken" but otherwise equally bland. If you were blindfolded, you'd have ZERO clue what was put in your mouth. Was that a bean from the SW Tofu Bowl or was that a bell-pepper cube from something else? Cooked to near mush. We also ordered an equal mix of breakfast and dinners but ALL of the breakfast meals we sold out (AFTER we successfully ordered and paid, of course) so we got a heavy load of SW Tofu Quinoa Bowls which is the worst of the three delivered. Bad bad. Cancelling isn't as bad as say a sketchy gym membership but you have to either call (what is this, the 80's?!) or email them so that they can try to talk you out of it. I find that VERY off-putting. I feed myself and my girlfriend 3 vegan meals a day for $12. Each of which is infinitely better than what we got from Trifecta in both taste and nutrition. A long slow clap for them negotiating the Netflix deal but I suspect this is part of why the results of that experiment were so lackluster. I sure couldn't eat only their meals for two weeks next to my twin who's otherwise winning the flavor game at every single meal. I suspect the vegan twins were doing A LOT of deviating. read more

I love this meal delivery service. I was looking for something organic, dairy-free, gluten free and it checked all the boxes. I tried Factor, but they were bought out and no longer used organic ingredients, and their delivery was very unpredictable. My daughter still uses them, however. I've only been using Trifecta for a couple months, but the food is delicious, the delivery has been dependable, and the customer service has been excellent. I recently received a damaged box (probably fed ex issue), and they offered to replace and re-ship immediately. I highly recommend giving them at try. read more

Trifecta appears to have a great variety of foods and options. Unfortunately, Trifecta does not offer the ability to cancel recurring subscriptions online. Trifecta lets you pause your subscription, but to cancel your subscription completely , you must call and speak with a representative. I cancelled because I strongly believe in consumer rights. If a company offers you the ability to sign up for a recurring subscription online, that company should also offer you the ability to cancel the recurring subscription online. After calling to cancel, the representative asked me my reason for why I am cancelling. I explained to them why I believe in consumer rights to cancel. I also politely informed them that California is soon passing bills to make it such that companies MUST give consumers in the state of California the option to cancel online (see: CA AB390). After explaining this to them, they dismissed my comments with several passive aggressive remarks such as "so you're cancelling because you can't cancel online?", and "well, we have lawyers and a legal team". That is the main reason for the 1-star review. While their food looks great and they did refund my order without issue, unfortunately I cannot recommend them due to their impolite customer service and flippant attitude towards consumer rights. read more

First off, the food from here, especially the meals, are amazing. And I've tried factor 75, Paleo On The Go as well as cooking my own with Hello Fresh. Their food goes bad quick and gets soggy. Not Trifecta! It's soo fresh and sooo good! But there customer service tops even their food! They answer your emails IMMEDIATELY and are always SUPER helpful, always wanting to resolve your problems. Especially Eli. I had a shipping issue and he wrote me back and forth until I was absolutely happy and issue rectified. This is very rare in customer service these days. Nope. DON'T BOTHER. DON'T DO IT. When asked why I'd like to cancel my subscription, this was my response: 1. Every meal was the same consistency and can be eaten with a spoon. It was like I ordered a soft food diet. (See photos) 2. Received 4 of the same entrees the first week and 2 more the following. 3. It was mostly ground beef or ground turkey and when it wasn't, it was tenderized to the point where it was mush. Second week's delivery wasn't any better. It was similar to the first with the exception of a new chicken dish and salmon (salmon PIECES....like they were left over from the nice portions you see on the website) were 23g protein). It also had two meals with shrimp in it, but I requested for no shellfish (I can't eat shrimp- received a refund for the two meals). 4. No green veggies came with the meals. Over half of the meals contained the same veggies--sweet potato, carrot, cauliflower. 5. Everything came frozen and I wondered how long the meals have been in the freezer. Their response? No acknowledgment of the points I made above and only confirmed my subscription had been cancelled. Almost like they've heard this before. Maybe if you're getting the other meal plans, you'll get better meals, but if you're looking for Whole 30 meals though Trifecta, expect a sloppy joes/chili consistency in all of your meals. @Trifecta- Please do better with the Whole 30 meals or don't offer it. It looks nothing like the photos on the website. Wasted over $300 for 28 meals (it was too late to cancel week two's delivery). Lesson learned. read more

The quality of the food was pretty bad. Everything was super mushy/watery, and the eggs were dry and spongy. I doubt there were actual real eggs in there. It wrecked my digestive system for a week. It's also super expensive (average $14 per meal) even when you order in bulk. The flavor was ok. Most of the food tasted the same and I couldn't wait to east something else by the end of the week. Found a much better delivery service elsewhere and cancelled my subscription. The customer service was good though. They were able to cancel my sub right away. read more

Lack of customer service, I called because 2 meals received were not airtight and had air in them, they said it was due to the gases, however, other meals were vaccumed sealed. The variety of foods is good, but to me the meals are bland and not as good as other meal services. I recommended Trifecta to someone when I first ordered, they ordered and did not receive the $25 discount. Trifecta said they could not give it to them because they already ordered but would give it to them next time. No option to cancel online so I had to call. I called and cancelled and saw that I was charged two days ago. I sent a chat message online and spoke to Anjeleah. She told me to send a copy of my phone bill so they can see the call and she can talk to her supervisor. I have no problem doing that but it will have incoming/outcoming numbers will also be on there and with the amount of spam calls, I do not want to put my friends numbers out there. She then sent me an email with the policy for cancelling. I wrote back and told her I do not understand why she quoted the policy when I called and cancelled. I did my part. False advertising, macros are not as advertised. I wanted for this to work out so bad. I hate to cook and it's suuuuper difficult to meet my desired protein requirements on a whole foods vegan diet. My schedule is inconsistent so convenience food is a necessary evil in my life. I signed up for Trifecta because they average 20g protein and 350 calories in every meal. Wow! That's really hard to do. I went all in, ordering 4 meals per day, 7 days per week. It was going to save me so much time. It's not cheap, $288 PER WEEK (!!!), or about $10 permeal. I moved some things around in my budget to make it work. The box arrives and I tear into it with all the enthusiasm of a kid on Christmas morning. I was disappointed to receive 5 entrees of just oatmeal. A couple rice and veg dishes. They advertised using Beyond burger, I only got one. Food is pretty bland, so I add my own spices. After three days my energy is just gone. My mile time dips from 9 minutes to 11. On the forth day I actually couldn't complete a workout. So I take a closer look at the food. The average protein is about 8g and not 20g as advertised. One entree had TWO GRAMS. I added up the macros and realized I was consuming about 800 calories daily and less than 30g protein. No wonder my energy was so bad! Now here's the kicker: The food arrives on Friday, and your credit card is billed on Saturday. So on your very first day you're on the hook for two full weeks of food. I called customer service and they were actually pretty nice. They seemed shocked about the nutritional details and gave me a full refund after I provided pictures. read more

I'm sorry, but the vegan meal plan was simply gross. I paid $200 a week for basically more than half of my meals that contained bland beans. I've used quite a few meal services over the years, and this was by far the worst of the bunch. Of course cancelling the subscription isnt as easy as just clicking a button either. If you want to feel like you got ripped off, and enjoy insanely bland food, this would be right down your alley. My advice would be to look for other options. read more
