Great tasting food and fast, predictable delivery. I personally chose the a la carte items which suit my preferences. The Salmon is delicious! For about $120, I get 10 meals on average for the week! Emily, in customer service, is extremely helpful! read more

The flavor of the food is terrible. They use some unusual spices, and a lot of it was really spicy. I've tried the salmon twice. Both times it had that a gray matter still on the back of it. One of them tasted very fishy, almost rotten, and hI ad to throw it away. The steak(?) had pieces of bone in it. Not large pieces but ones that surprised me when I took a bite and I had to spit it back out. Some of the meals weren't cooked all the way and the potato chunks were hard. I ordered the service on Monday, 11/1/21, and received the box the following Friday, 11/5/21. By Sunday 11/7, after eating three of the meals, I emailed to cancel the service: Alex Preciado, the Sales and Customer Service Associate, (530) 564-8388. On Monday they email me back and said they were sorry it didn't meet with my approval but that the next weeks was already processing. I told him to cancel my order regardless, and delete my financial information. I really don't like the food. I can't eat it! They sent another box of the food anyway, and it arrived while I was out of town. I received no notice that it arrived. They charged me, even after I had told them about the bad food and problems with my previous order. I have contacted them twice since the original communication to have the charge returned and they have still not done so, and didn't even respond back. read more

Trifecta - Food Delivery Services Near Me - Sacramento, California

I'm surprised there are any negative reviews as my experience has been great - I've been with trifecta for a couple years and it's been fantastic. I feel the best I've ever felt, am in the best shape I've ever been, and have the most free time because I don't have to shop or cook. Recently had a very positive customer service experience regarding an order mistake - Eli helped me out and it was easy to get things resolved. Thanks team! read more

I'm sorry, but the vegan meal plan was simply gross. I paid $200 a week for basically more than half of my meals that contained bland beans. I've used quite a few meal services over the years, and this was by far the worst of the bunch. Of course cancelling the subscription isnt as easy as just clicking a button either. If you want to feel like you got ripped off, and enjoy insanely bland food, this would be right down your alley. My advice would be to look for other options. read more

Nope. DON'T BOTHER. DON'T DO IT. When asked why I'd like to cancel my subscription, this was my response: 1. Every meal was the same consistency and can be eaten with a spoon. It was like I ordered a soft food diet. (See photos) 2. Received 4 of the same entrees the first week and 2 more the following. 3. It was mostly ground beef or ground turkey and when it wasn't, it was tenderized to the point where it was mush. Second week's delivery wasn't any better. It was similar to the first with the exception of a new chicken dish and salmon (salmon PIECES....like they were left over from the nice portions you see on the website) were 23g protein). It also had two meals with shrimp in it, but I requested for no shellfish (I can't eat shrimp- received a refund for the two meals). 4. No green veggies came with the meals. Over half of the meals contained the same veggies--sweet potato, carrot, cauliflower. 5. Everything came frozen and I wondered how long the meals have been in the freezer. Their response? No acknowledgment of the points I made above and only confirmed my subscription had been cancelled. Almost like they've heard this before. Maybe if you're getting the other meal plans, you'll get better meals, but if you're looking for Whole 30 meals though Trifecta, expect a sloppy joes/chili consistency in all of your meals. @Trifecta- Please do better with the Whole 30 meals or don't offer it. It looks nothing like the photos on the website. Wasted over $300 for 28 meals (it was too late to cancel week two's delivery). Lesson learned. read more

Paulina V. provided outstanding service! I can't wait to try the food! I admit, I was duped by Trifecta. Don't be like me. This food is worse than what you would keep in your cellar for the apocalypse. In fact, the apocalypse may taste better than this food. It's obvious that Trifecta is paying for good reviews. If you look at the highly rated reviews, they are people with one or just a few reviews. Look closely and you'll be able to see what reviews are coming from real people. And they are right....this stuff is gross. Give your money to a company that doesn't seek to defraud the consuming public. read more

Trifecta is taking the meal delivery game to the next level. Thinking about it, this kind of business approach has never been done before: meals fully cooked sent to my house, cold, fresh never frozen. Wow. The convenience factor is incredible too - the fact I get to spend 2 minutes per meal to reheat has freed so much time to take care of work and business. I've also been traveling extensively and I've had my meals delivered to both coasts, from California to Miami, all the way to New York. And every single time Trifecta has delivered the food. Their costumer service team is incredible. Highly recommend 10 read more

Trifectra is definitely delicious. The food is fresh and they make it easy to stay on track with your eating goals. A couple of areas of opportunity... I order the paleo menu, seven meals and the past four shipments have had three or more meals in the 470 - 530 calorie range... that is a whole lot of calories when they are usually ink the 350 calorie range. Also, I have had duplicates in nearly every package. The food is good, but I don't want duplicates. Again, I get seven meals a week. I am also concerned that the protein isn't what it is purported to be. Im going to be looking into that further, too. read more

The quality of the food was pretty bad. Everything was super mushy/watery, and the eggs were dry and spongy. I doubt there were actual real eggs in there. It wrecked my digestive system for a week. It's also super expensive (average $14 per meal) even when you order in bulk. The flavor was ok. Most of the food tasted the same and I couldn't wait to east something else by the end of the week. Found a much better delivery service elsewhere and cancelled my subscription. The customer service was good though. They were able to cancel my sub right away. read more

Kenzie R did a great job walking me through the program! I am excited to get started!

Hello, I am writing this review in reference to a recent phone conversation today (Saturday) wanting detailed information on the food selection options. I comfortably placed a new order with the assistance of Kenzie R. I had been a subscriber to the meal plan in 2023, however discontinued at the end of that year. I decided to resubscribe to primarily order the meal prep items (my personal favorite is the diced chicken) and added a few of the signature meals as well to retry. Mackenzie was very professional and knowledgeable to advise on availability and possible alerts to unwanted substitutions . I was appreciative of her ability to answer all of my question to my satisfaction. I feel confident that I am able to communicate easily with the Trifecta team in the future if I have any further questions. Thank you Mackenzie! read more

Amazing and super responsive customer service team!! Especially Kenzie- she really worked with us to find a plan that worked! Thank you!

I follow a Keto diet and finally tried a meal prep to save the hassle of prepping myself. My first box of 10 meals came (first week at a discounted price of $89) and by day 2 I realized I wasn't happy with the meals. The portion sizes are too small for me and the quality wasn't there as well. All the chicken meals were thighs. The meals seemed very slimy in texture and I noticed on the instructions they recommend preparing with an air fryer. Well, unfortunately, I don't have an air fryer at work, or at home, so I was stuck with slimy. Additionally, the packaging seems to be about 10 lbs and the food is about 2 lbs. There is way too much waste that ends up in the trash can just to eat healthily. I tried canceling but noticed you cannot cancel online. I tried calling and got the phone tree. I called back but you can only get a person during business hours. I put a "hold" on my account online and left a VM on their machine with my subscription number requesting to cancel. Low and behold - another box just showed up at my house. I called back -waited on hold this time for 15 minutes to make sure I got a person. I explained my level of dissatisfaction but was told unfortunately they got my VM on Monday morning so I was on the hook for the additional 10 meals in the 10 lb box sitting on my porch for $149. If it feels like a trap when they limit access to adjust your account - it should be telling of the product and business model. read more

I have been very satisfied with Trifecta. So far it is the best meal delivery service I have tried. The food is excellent, and the pricing is fair for everything being sourced organically. I put mine in the freezer and eat them when I don't feel like cooking, and it has worked out so well for me. The customer service has been fantastic. I've been working with Kenzie R who has been helping me with my deliveries and putting holds on my account. I love the ease and the quality of the food and service I've received. 5 stars. read more

The food Trifecta makes is surprisingly delicious. I tried the Clean menu and my husband had the Keto. I have acid reflux, and many of the Clean meals were a little too spicy or peppery for my belly to handle, but the food is really good - it's well-flavored, the meat is always tender, and overall, it's a good substitute for cooking fresh. And, despite my control freak worries, we really liked the variety and the surprise in not choosing our own meals. In my first week, I ordered the wrong items and needed to make a fast switch and Evalyn P helped me fix what I'd done wrong. Then, when I couldn't figure out how to deactivate because of my poor belly, Evalyn helped me again, and even gave me a refund on my food, since I couldn't fully enjoy it. Trifecta is a good company that stands behind their product. Highly recommend! read more

Bland meats with no seasoning, "green" vegetables that are actually brown before even cooking them and a complete lack of variety. If this sounds like the diet for you at $15/meal, then by all means sign up. But if you're not sure it's for you, run. I did the trial and one extra week to give them a chance and they won't leave me alone. I politely explained my dissatisfaction with the meals on the phone when I cancelled and still received 4 email follow ups from customer service reps asking me what was wrong. I've replied to 3 politely until I got the 4th. I feel like everyone needs to know that this is harder to quit than Ross's gym. Update: Still getting phone calls and emails. All from different numbers and addresses so can't just block them. Definitely not worth the $250 I spent. read more

So far so good and when I encountered a delivery issue Kenzie R was extremely helpful in rectifying it -- thank you!

Not a fan for many reasons... The one thing saving this from a 1 star review would be their customer service that was responsive, friendly and accommodating- but only when you call. The chat option was not helpful and very frustrating. FYI, all meal delivery services are very good at sneaking you into a subscription, whether they are upfront about it or not. I chose the "a la carte" option and it said specifically it was not a subscription, when I checked my dashboard it said I had no upcoming shipments, so I cancelled and thought I was good. But when I called because I was so disappointed in the food quality of my first order, they said I had another shipment coming. It took me several phone calls and a whole week to resolve this issue. But the website cannot be trusted. For the food.... The meals look a lot better on the website. I chose "a la carte" because its the only option that allows you to choose what you want. If you choose a meal plan, you cant see the options in your order, you can't choose what you want, you don't know what's coming. Why cant we see the meals, their ingredients and the nutrition before we order? That's very shady to me. Although they're the only meal delivery to offer Elk, their meat is pre-cooked, conveniently, however when you reheat it according to the directions, it gets rubbery and way over-cooked. I liked the cod, which is sold separately than the meals. The meals in the "a la carte" option are too basic and boring. Their "sweet potatoes" are not what you expect... they're white sweet potatoes which are not sweet at all. The meals are vacuum sealed in a plastic container that is not microwavable and its very hard to cut them out of the package. It looks like a watery- cafeteria meal. Overall, save your $, to me these were no different than getting frozen meals from the grocery store. Ordering take out can be just as healthy if you make the right choices, you'll get a lot more food, have variety, and it'll be more cost effective. read more

Their customer service line is a joke, average wait times are above 15 minutes and then the line disconnects, many times!! The logistics and meal delivery is a nightmare, I have subscribed for the Paleo 5 days 3 meals, now for two weeks my meals didn't come, I can't get hold of any customer service and no one is answering my calls nor my emails! You can't cancel your account from the APP, which is a scam like behavior, you need to call them and then guess what? They never answer and the line disconnects!! Strongly NOT recommended read more

Pros: Customer service is amazing. Meals look delicious when you open the box. I ordered the 21 meals for 7 days options, and there were duplicates, but no triplicates. Box was still cold and the ice pack. The box looked just as I expected. So far, I tried the frittata and it was delicious. I chose to put the meal in a glass dish and put it in the air fryer @ 350 until heated. The meal had the appearance and taste of just being cooked. 100% satisfied. Cons: My package was delivered late. This is not Trifecta's fault, but I did voice my opinion with the company as they are using GLS in northern CA and that shipping company is a big fail, in general. I hope they can find another shipping company that will deliver on time. Delivery was set for Friday, which turned to Saturday, then ended up as a "missing package" at 10 am on Saturday. My package was delivered, without a knock on the door, and set in the sun in the afternoon on Sunday. Trifecta did not hesitate to refund my purchase after the shipping deadline was missed. I'm in a cooler part of CA, but this package would not have survived in most parts of the state on this hot weekend. I am looking forward to the rest of the meals, and will definitely try Trifecta in the future if they use a different shipping company. This is a great way to keep your meals healthy and easy! read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this service --- I really don't tend to post reviews but I just have to warn others. I was very excited to try them out and even went all in and ordered their 7 day dinner and breakfast plan. I was planning on only doing the full service for the first week (because there was 50% off so why not try it out in full), so even though the price was really high - I thought enjoy the discount, see what you like about it, and then adjust for later orders once I get the hang of it and modify to my lifestyle. First thing I didn't like was that there was zero visibility into what you're getting. I went along with it thinking at some point before I get the order I'd at least know what I'm getting (let alone choose? every other meal plan lets you make some choices..), but absolutely no visibility into what you get. Second - as I mentioned is the price point, this is already on the very high side - highest that I've seen in comparing many others (e.g., Factor, Hungryroot, Hello fresh and more). Third - the food is I'm sorry to say.. really really bad. I received a bunch of the same dish (because no choice or visibility), that all look pretty bad (See photos in other reviews). I really understand people may have different tastes, but this is just really really poorly done, low quality food, absolutely lacking taste, texture, portion... and this was at over $200 per week! I really tried to force myself to eat it because well.. I value money spent on nutrition and didn't want it to waste, but I just kept picking at the dishes and couldn't actually eat them. This was the vegan meals - maybe the non vegan meals are better? Fourth - BEFORE I received my box, I went on to my account and froze my delivery for the next week. This is because I knew I was traveling and also I wanted to wait to see what I would get and I knew I would probably not stay with a 7 day meal plan (they have also 5 days or just one meal per day). After receiving my box and.. being disappointed.. I logged in this week to cancel my subscription for good. I was surprised to see they were charging me and shipping the box this week, the one I had skipped. Fifth - This is when I reached out to customer service - up until now I was just going to cancel and find other plans without complaining. But I cannot be charged another $200 for food I cannot eat especially when I purposely skipped it. They claimed I did not skip it and that I had not logged on at all to my account last week. Which is.. not true. I then resorted to showing them my browser history to show I did, to which they said well even if you logged on you didn't skip. The offered me a partial refund but refused to do any more (I asked to stop the delivery of next box and refund it in full). I've seen at least one more person who had this issue. Going to this level with customer service of voicing that I really feel like they are scamming me and arguing with me about something I clearly did, and being accused of basically lying was the cherry on top to a bad experience. I spent a lot of time wasted on trying to plea my case, not being believed, and still paying for half of a box I didn't order and have no use for. I understand they may be a new-ish company but customer satisfaction is still important and this service was once again, subpar to the other meal plans I've tried. So.. Ya, I do not recommend. Bad experience all around. Factor is much better and cheaper if you want premade microwaveable meals. I'd recommend anyone to start there in your meal plan search. read more

I love trifecta. It makes macro counting easy. The website is awesome as is the service. Paulina V was extremely helpful when i had some questions. I also like it because I dont waste or throw out food , Like I do, when I try to cook in large quantities. The cost ends up being the same. read more

The first four trifecta meals I ate were truly the nastiest things I've ever eaten. And I've had a lot of lean cuisines and off priced frozen meals. If you like green pepper flavor, watery sauces, spice with no substance and dried out meat, this is for you. I think they try and make unique recipes but the macros don't allow for the fat needed to balance out the flavor. I got these for some variety and well, I'm happy to go back to grilled chicken and roast sweet potatoes. They are healthy and since I could only choke down half I'm sure I'd lose weight. read more

We used Trifecta to help lose that last bit of stubborn weight before our wedding. We used the subscription for almost 2 months and enjoyed the food. Really wanted to love this, but the food is just... not good. A few meals were ok, some I would call edible, and others were honestly gross. My partner said they all were like mess hall or cafeteria food and I think that adequately sums it up. Further, the same day you get your very first delivery is also the cutoff date for making any changes to your next week's delivery or cancelling your subscription, so we are now stuck with a second week of meals that we had to pay for and really don't want to eat. Customer service would not allow us to cancel that, even though it is still 3 days before it would ship. read more

I've been using Trifecta for about a month now, and so far the food's been quite good! I enjoy the variety of dishes per week and the speed with which I'm able to pop it in the microwave and eat straight away. My last delivery had a snafu wherein I had only 2 meal types constituting the delivery of 14 meals -- so I had 7 of the same type of 2 meals! To Trifecta's credit, I was able to reach a representative (Kenzie) quickly through their website and arrange for a partial refund and re-shipment of some more-varied meals in the next few days. So problem solved -- and solved quickly. Two improvements which would make Trifecta ideal in my world: 1. Bar codes on the meal packaging to scan nutritional information into fitness apps such as MyFitnessPal. 2. Easier-to-open packaging after microwaving. I've figured out a way to do it, but it involves scissors and what not. Would be great to just be able to open the packaging without tools --- but the nature of the flash-freezing and sealing may render that unlikely. All in all, though, the macronutritional quality of the meals, their taste, their convenience -- and now the excellent customer service when something didn't go quite right -- has made the service worth the investment thus far. read more

One star- it's a fabulous idea! Having organic precooked food delivered is great and the breakfast frittata which is pretty good. I wanted to love this. Unfortunately they PUT CURRY IN ALMOST EVERYTHING and it's so gross. I ordered the paleo plan and husband ordered clean plan for a week. 7 of the meals were ruined with the gross butt taste of curry. I want to give it 5 stars but currently was hovering over 2. The only reason I settled on 4 is because the meals are so good. But that's only when you get them. THREE WEEKS IN A ROW we have been charged but the meals haven't arrived. THREE weeks. We were refunded when we reached out to customer service, but NO ONE emails to say they aren't coming. Instead, we just received generic cheerful emails saying they are "a bit late". 5 days isn't a bit late. A week isn't a bit late. When three weeks go by and not a single order arrives, it's annoying AF. BUT, when the food does arrive, O M G, it is perfect. SO, it's one of those things... you don't want to give up. Like being stuck in a bad relationship :) Beats the alternative... bad food arriving on time :)) read more
