I ordered 21 meals and, on September 1, contacted MealPro because I had not received any information about when my order was being shipped or how the delivery process worked. I was told that I would receive an email once the order was shipped so I could monitor the delivery. That email never came. There was no shipping notification, no tracking information, and no delivery notification. The order was delivered to my building's mailroom on September 3 without any notice. I didn't discover the box until September 6 since my building mail room always has lots of boxes. By then, all 21 meals had to be discarded. What was especially concerning was that the shipment arrived without ice packs or adequate refrigeration/insulation to keep the meals safely chilled during transportation from California to Chicago. This food delivery business does not seem to know that meats and among other food items should not be at room temperature for the hours it takes to mail from far away states. I contacted MealPro immediately and requested a full refund. After multiple emails and approximately 11 days of trying to get a resolution, MealPro ultimately told me that because the carrier's records showed the package as delivered, they would not provide a refund. Instead, they offered me a discounted replacement order. That response completely missed the issue. My complaint was not simply that the carrier marked the package delivered. The problem was MealPro's failure to properly communicate the shipment and delivery, combined with the lack of appropriate temperature protection. Those failures resulted in an entire order of 21 meals becoming unusable. I expected MealPro to take responsibility for the customer-service and shipping issues rather than simply point to the carrier's delivery record. I am sharing this experience because I would want to know about problems like this before spending my money with a meal-delivery company. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about ordering from MealPro.

The last time I ordered I called in and I always get their 6 piece combo that comes with your choice of six yubu and a drink. It's a lot of food and could be shared, or if you're really hungry you could take them all down- they're delicious enough that you'll want to. Individual Yubu are about $5-$6 per piece and have a sweet tofu packet loaded with rice and then the topping of your choice. All the toppings are delicious and they offer a variety of options including fresh fish, bulgogi, corn and cheese, pork, and crab. They also have a variety of sides like mini udon, kimchi fried rice, sodduk sodduk, mandu, potato croquettes, mini honey pancakes and more. Some of my favorites are the bbq albacore, garlic butter crab, lemon pepper salmon, myungran crab, spicy tuna, and seared tuna. I love trying new options whenever they have them though. I've only ever ordered pick up, but I appreciate that delivery is available too. This is one of my favorite spots for a treat meal when I'm craving fresh fish.
