This was my first time hiring 2 Sons Plumbing & Sewer. I picked them due to their immediate…read moreavailability, flexibility for doing two separate plumbing jobs on one visit, and positive reviews on Yelp. The work I needed done was the installation of a 50-gal electric hot water heater (plus haul away of the old one) and the diagnosis/replacement of a corroded waste line connector for a garbage disposal. When I set up my appointment, I made sure to clarify that I wasn't going to be charged for the service visit, or additionally, for any diagnostic steps. Keep this in mind if you're considering them because it's probably a better idea to go with a plumbing company that won't charge you just to come out and physically look at the work you want done. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry, not because something was broken, but due to the fact that completing the work quickly was pivotal to getting a condo sale to the finish line. I was able to schedule my appointment for as early as Monday despite making the initial contact with 2 Sons Plumbing on Thursday (they could've come sooner, but I opted to avoid the extra "rush" or weekend fees by waiting until Monday). One thing I didn't like about their business model is there's no upfront cost for general jobs (i.e., install a hot water heater) or any idea of hourly charges. For instance, with Lowe's and/or Home Depot, I could call and get quotes for this type of work from their subcontractors. Going through Fast Water Heater (Lowe's preferred subcontractor), a 50-gal water heater installation might run between $2,200 and $2,400 depending on the model of hot water heater (the purchase of which is included in the quote). I ended up buying a new water heater from Home Depot ($871 after taxes) a couple of days prior to my appointment with 2 Sons Plumbing, and hauling it up a few flights of stairs to the condo in order to save money. I would later find out that, had I bought the 50-gal electric water heater carried in the back of the 2 Sons Plumbing Truck, it would've cost $3600 (I have no idea why it was this expensive). In the end, I paid 2 Sons Plumbing $1870 after taxes for the installation of the Home Depot Water Heater and haul-away of my old one ($2700+ if you include the price of the hot water heater I bought on my own). In addition to the hot water heater install, I ended up paying for a new garbage disposal plus its installation because the corrosion in the waste line was so bad that new parts were needed (which they didn't have). It made more sense to just replace the whole thing (current garbage disposal was 10+ years old)--This came out to $786.88 after taxes and a 3% convenience fee for using a credit card. Overall, it was a good experience thanks to the knowledge/prep work I had done for 2 Sons Plumbing before going with them. The final cost to me certainly had the potential to be much higher had I let 2 Sons Plumbing provide or do everything. The job took about 6 hours to complete, and I paid in the ballpark of $2500 for the hourly rates (?) plus the purchase of a basic garbage disposal and a minuscule amount of parts. I overheard that the general hourly rate is $400, so what I paid aligns with that. The amount of contact and post-job follow up documentation I received (emails; texts; invoices; etc.) was thorough but also annoying (I.e., solicitation for reviews). All things considered, here's how I'd rate things: Availability/Communication: 5/5 Cost: 3/5 Technician: 5/5 Invoice/Follow-up: 3/5

I called multiple places and non of them answered except Mr. Rooter. I had Mr. Rooter come out the next day since it was 9pm when this happened. Mark came out and unclogged it and notice the inlet baffle to my septic was loose and had a permanent tilt upwards. Mark pointed out he saw a glob of cooking grease come out when unclogging it. He also pointed out a sheen of oil mixed in with the solids. So the previous owners were just dumping whatever down the drain. Mark scheduled me for the Field coordinator come out the next day to camera the pipes (no extra charge to camera the pipes). Vinnie showed up with the camera and found that the pipe between my clean out and septic was bowing down for for about two feet long(I was there and saw it on camera as he did it) So there was standing water filling up the pipe half way and slowing the solids down where it was easy to clog up. Vinnie was very nice and professional and explaining what they needed to do to fix it. He gave me an estimate to fix it and encouraged me to get another estimate from another company and that if they beat Mr. Rooters estimate let them know and they'll try match. I did get another estimate and it was a little bit lower but they didn't have the 2 year labor warranty or 2 part warranty, like Mr. Rooter. So I called Vinnie back and sent him the estimate from another company and they matched their estimate. I didn't get the name of the plumber that came out and dug the hole and fixed the pipe but I got to talk to him and he notice pipe was cracked and broke when he uncovered it. He also notice when they built the house in 2006 they never put crushed rock under/around the waste pipe to keep it from settling(is what had happened to the pipe and made it bow downwards). So he replace the pipe and put crushed rock around it. When he dug the hole, he put plastic down on the grass then put the dirt he was digging out, on the plastic. So when he fixed the pipe, he covered all the dirt up and the hole up with more plastic and put caution cones and fence around it all. We had to wait couple days for the inspector come out and make sure everything was installed correctly(Mr. Rooter dealt with the inspector and it was part of the estimate they gave me). Couple days later I notice the hole filled back in and everything cleaned up. This was back in November when all this happened and it's end of December and no clogs. Thank you employees of Mr. Rooter, they were nice, professional and explained everything. Side note for people reading, DO NOT USE AQUA TEST for any septic or plumbing. (MVL INC DBA Aqua Test Inc) located in Maple Valley. Our HOA has them do a yearly inspection and it turns out they were reporting that there was this same problem with the septic from 2007-2013. After 2013 they stopped reporting it. The person I bought the house from has lived in it from 2006 - - 2021. It was never fixed by the previous owner, she doesn't deny not fixing it or couldn't provide any receipt. But since Aqua test for some reason stopped reporting it and our realtors didn't put an addendum 22S in our house buying contract, we got hosed and had to pay for this out of our pockets. Again don't use Aqua test in maple valley.

They used their boring machine to lay a new pipe under huge boulders, our lawn and our concrete pad. We appreciated the minimal disruption to our landscaping. We've had our new water line for a year and we've had zero issues. I appreciated that Done Right has their own machine for underground drilling and establishing new water mains. We have a brand new water line, we've had zero issues, and we are confident we will have no future issues. We had a miscommunication about who would secure the permit, but as soon as I brought it to Done Right's attention, Wendy and Steve took care of it immediately and we had an approved permit in a matter of a week. This company does a really professional, high-quality job and I would entrust my property to them in the future. In addition, I felt that their price was very, very reasonable. The cheapest option when it comes to plumbing is DEFINITELY NOT ALWAYS THE BEST OPTION! When it comes to plumbing, you want to make sure the job is done right. I recommend this company.
