HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…read more James installed a ceiling fan for us today and we are very pleased with his service. As a former realtor, I have been around a lot of contractors and handymen. James is a cut above. Not only was he professional, courteous, and competent but very personable and respectful. Already thinking of other home improvement projects we can call on him for assistance. Integrity is so hard to find these day, James is a keeper.

The…read morework he did last year was solid and he did a great job (see happier review below), but now he's dropped off the face of the planet. After we met this month to have him do more work at my business and my home, he completely ignored all communication for over a week (when he knew I was on a fairly tight window to get this work done), although he still managed to find plenty of time to post all day, every day on Facebook. Super bummed, a little pissed, and not sure what went wrong. Maybe if you have more money to offer on a larger project he'll follow through.

Robert cancelled my contract after I paid a substantial deposit because I asked too many questions…read more He said I questioned his integrity, when all I did was ask questions about the moving of the drain. We had contracted with Robert and his company to remodel two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms was going to have a bathtub to shower conversion. I'm from another state, and when you have a tub/shower conversion, the drain must be moved to the center of the shower. Apparently this isn't the same rule for Texas. Instead of explaining this to me, he decided I was going to be trouble for him, so he cancelled the contract. It took him 3 weeks to give me my deposit back and made it very difficult for me to hire someone else to do the job without knowing if I would get it back. I was texting with him and emailing so I would have everything in writing if I needed it. When he got angry with me, he called me on the phone and literally yelled at me (probably so I wouldn't have it on record). It took me a while to post this because I don't like to leave negative reviews. I just wouldn't want someone else to go through what I did.

Mr. Martinez is an honest and straightforward person…read more He fixed a drywall for us and charged very very reasonably, I actually was compelled to pay him a bit more than he charged, since the other "professionals" asked gave me an estimate 10x more (seriously!, they said they need to repaint the whole wall !!!). Mr. Martinez did a perfect job, patched the hole, matched the texture and painted perfectly, the difference can not be seen with the rest of the wall. The job was done quick and clean. All in all highly recommended.

Robert is amazing and his prices can't be beat. He renovated the entire interior of my house…read more Replaced exterior siding and painted the outside of the house for a fraction of what anyone else would charge. He was able to make new kitchen cabinet doors and refinish the cabinet bodies, which would have cost me thousands of dollars to replace. He patiently worked with me and helped me select the materials (flooring, shower tile, fixtures, paint, vanities, blinds, siding, doors, etc) for every aspect my renovation. A small list of things that Robert completed: remove old tile and carpet, install tile, install baseboards, repair drywall, paint walls/ceiling/trim/doors, install new bathtub, raise shower head, tile shower, install bathroom vanities, replaced a broken window, install light fixtures and ceiling fans, update outlets and switches, install range and range hood, make new kitchen cabinet doors, refinish and paint kitchen cabinets, install blinds, cut down trees, trim overgrown bushes, replace siding, paint entire house exterior. There was nothing in the entire renovation that Robert could not do. I would not hesitate to hire him for any home improvement or repair work. I already have referred him to several of my friends and they are also amazed at the quality of work and how reasonable is prices are. Thank you Robert and Ruthie for the incredible job you did on my house and all the money you saved me.

I wish I could give a higher rating because both guys that I worked with were nice guys, but I just…read morecan't give anything higher. I called Pritchard to take care of an issue I was having with one breaker that kept tripping during storms. They told me that there were so many problems with the electrical system not being to code that I'd be better off replacing the entire panel, meter, mast, and meter loop. I wasn't too excited about the $2200 upgrade, but I knew the service was old and was willing to take their advice. Problem #1: On the phone call and when the electrician showed up, there was no mention that I'd have to pay $90 for an estimate. After the estimate was complete, he told me I needed to write him a check for his time (maybe 20 min). I believe in paying people for their time, but to give no notice ahead of time is a little shady. I have had several other electricians over for other issues and none charged for an estimate. Problem #2: The work was completed and everything seemed fine. Then comes the first storm and the same breaker tripped, which was our original issue. I write Gary, explain that the original issue is still a problem and he writes me back with a single sentence: "What do you want me to do about?" At this point, it was pretty obvious that there was no interest in helping us solve the problem we originally called them about. I wrote back saying I don't EXPECT anything for free, I'd just like some advice on why the full panel replacement that they recommended had no effect. Gary never wrote back.

They showed up on time, worked straight through, did a great job and were clear about the charges up front (and at a great hourly rate).
