I used my GI bill to take the Assistant instructor course at Trident with Marlena Neal. From the coordination with Cindy, to the course work, to the boat dives everything went super smoothly. I loved how systematic and organized they run their shop, they make the student and customer experience so so easy for you. They use top of the line gear for their customers, the boat is super nice, the staff moves like a well oiled machine, and they even add little creature comforts like lavender towels and gear setup and cleanup. The dive sites were beautiful and the dive staff was knowledgeable and kind. I have to give a huge shoutout to my course instructor, she gave me world class instruction and went above and beyond in many ways. I am very much looking forward to coming back to trident for more courses in the future! Thank you Trident for a wonderful 2 weeks in Oahu!

We booked a turtle snorkeling trip with Trident. Easy to book, easy communication both before and after booking. Veteran-owned company with many veteran and military employees, which I love. Speaking of employees; they were all excellent - polite, informative, helpful. HQ location pickup spot was convenient and easy to get to. The boat was clean and well-maintained, with snacks and non-alcoholic) drinks provided. The weather wasn't great, so the water was choppy but the captain handled it well and we were comfortable. The crew told us the weather might mean less turtles, but there were plenty! Many other schools of interesting fish to swim with, as well. The gear was pretty new, though less sophisticated than I am used to. We took the video package, but the very cloudy/rainy skies washed out a lot of the vids a little bit. :-( The spot they took us to was, of course, popular, so I would pick your times to try to reduce crowding. We were off-season and mid-week yet it was still pretty busy. Good pricing, I thought, all around. All in all a great day, and I recommend! But if your families include younger children or oder adults I would say shop around, because it is a bit more hard-core than some. Perfect for me, but not for everyone on our trip.

Talk about the MOST AMAZING experience I've ever had. Ive been around the world and even done skydiving here on Oahu. NOTHING compares! The staff was so friendly and Steve is the absolute best owner! He took me personally down with him and was so patient. Even when I was 35ft down and had a freak out moment, he took me up and told me I did good. I am so hooked and I can't wait to go again with my family. And his love for the military is beyond compare! He's a true friend and brother! If you ever have a chance to go... YOU NEED TO GO! It was my first time diving in Oahu and I'm glad I went with Trident Adventures. There are many to choose from (especially in a tourist hot spot like Honolulu), so "Safety", "Customer Service" and "Gear" were my top priorities when choosing a dive company. When I saw that Trident Adventures was founded and operated by former Navy SEALS, that sealed the deal (no pun intended )... I've meet a few SEALS during my time in the Marines and they are the most highly trained, professional and courageous individuals you'll ever meet. Bottom line, they are "THE BEST"! If I trust them with my life in the battle field, I would definitely trust them with my life in the ocean. Day of the Dive, Crew: Mason (Boat Capt), Max and Tyler (Dive Master). They had plenty of snacks and drinks for the dive party. Conditions: Big Swells, Strong Currents (above and underwater). Gear: I brought my own Mask, Snorkel and Fins. The dive gear they provided was impressive! The BCD was a high-end ScubaPro Hydros Pro! Now I want one! They also provided a Shorty. Dive #1, Sea Tiger: It was my first time diving to see a wreck and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Got a couple of good shots on the GoPro. Even got to see a sea turtle swimming along with us. Dive #2, Reef: Unfortunately, I had to pass on this dive cause I got sea sick. I should have listened to my wife and take Dramamine. Lesson learned! Overall Experience: I had a great time with the crew! Even though my 2nd half of the trip was spent sea sick, they did their best to help. Tyler even gave me ginger candy, which helped! I will definitely dive with Trident Adventures again! Even book their helicopter jump next time.

What an incredible experience! The entire team at trident adventure made the helicopter ride and jump fun, professional, encouraging, and most of all safe! These guys really go out of there way to make each individual in there care know that they are valued and make each experience personalized and memorable. I can't wait to do my next jump as well as explore the other adventures they have to offer like scuba and snorkeling! My biggest problem with this review is that yelp will only let me give them 5 stars it doesn't seem like enough! Great family memories at a great price!

I'd like to Thank Stephen, the owner of Trident Adventures and his highly trained crew Robert, Maria, Ian, Brian, Nick, Pilot Jeff, Mike, John, Captain Mason, and Des for an amazing time. If you're looking for an adventure there's only one place to go and that's Trident Adventures. My wife has a fear of hights and I have anxiety about swimming in the deep ocean but they went out of their way to make us feel safe and comfortable as we conquered our fears . We jumped out of a HELICOPTER into the ocean and then went scuba diving 40' below. This was the best experience I've had since I've been on the island and to top it off we were surrounded by military personnel, our Hero's. You can do every activity on the island but if you haven't experienced Trident Adventures then you are missing out.

I have been diving all over the world, Australia, Belize, Bora Bora Caribbean et cetera this had to be by far one of the top 5 coolest dives I've done. We went to someplace called crack pipe and ran into upwards of 10 giant sea turtles, an eel whose head was the size of a small child, as well as an up close look at a cigarette snail. ( one of the other divers brought it up from below it turns out it is deadly ) The captain was professional, the crew was attentive, And my 13-year-old daughter who is new to scuba diving also had a great time. I appreciated the short but succinct safety briefings, they did a great video package which was only 30 bucks. Snacks and drinks afterwards were all so good. Originally I had chosen them because we are staying at the Aluani resort and they were originally out of the four seasons next-door, after Covid they had to move to the aloha tower. Although less convenient , worth the trip. I will be back to do more of their highly recommended dives. Five stars

Highlight of my trip! GREAT! I saw lots of sea turtles! My family did the snorkeling and had a great experience. They have these little propellor things you can hold in the water that were SO fun. The captain and sea hands were amazing also. Our boat looked like we were having more fun than the others. They played music and had sodas, teas, and snacks, too! 100% recommend doing this.

Bucket-list experience for our special-needs child! I could not have asked for a more professional, customer-oriented operation - this company is the real deal. Our severely autistic, intellectually disabled son has been bugging us to jump out of planes and helicopters since he was 10 years old, leaving us replying with "uhh . . . not until you are older" while scratching our heads and hoping he would grow out of it. Thanks to Trident Adventures, he had the experience of a lifetime this week! At first, I did not realize what we were getting for the price, so let me fill you in: -A mini-helicopter tour of the Waikiki area with an extremely experienced pilot who will fly as dynamically as his passengers dictate -A jump from the helicopter into the ocean, anywhere between 10 to 65 feet above the water (based on sea state and jumper preference), with safety swimmers waiting below -Waiting next to the drop zone will be a fully equipped dive boat, ready to equip the jumpers with SCUBA or snorkel gear over a great dive site with lots to see -Guided SCUBA/snorkeling -Snacks and beverages provided on the dive boat -After SCUBA diving or snorkeling, the dive boat will return to the pier, and passengers are transported back to the Trident Adventure store (where they originally parked). I initially had no idea that so much was included in the price, but there are a lot more intangibles worth mentioning that really set this experience apart for my family: -It was clear that safety was paramount, as every reasonable aspect was briefed, including emergency contingency plans. As a former Navy pilot and Navy-trained SCUBA diver used to highly detailed briefings, I felt right at home as Steve walked us through the plan and "what if" scenarios. -This is an operation run with military precision, but also with customer satisfaction the highest priority (ok, second highest priority next to everyone's safety). Trident Adventures will bend over backward to make sure you have the most memorable experience possible. Here are a few ways: -Want to SCUBA dive after you jump? No problem. If you have no SCUBA experience, they will put an instructor with you for an introductory dive. Already a qualified diver but need a buddy/guide? Not a problem. -Want to snorkel instead? Not a problem. -Not sure if you want to dive or snorkel? Want to change your mind? Feeling unsure/scared/nervous? Not a problem. You can throw on some SCUBA gear and try it with an instructor, then switch to snorkel gear if you prefer. Or you can snorkel and throw on a tank for a quick intro after. They will work with you. -NONE of these options increase the costs. -Have a family member not keen on jumping out of a helicopter? No problem, they can ride the boat out to watch you jump, then snorkel/SCUBA dive with you. -A truly ridiculous level of photo and video documentation. Steve was taking photos and video constantly as we worked through the training, launch, jump, and follow-on dive activity. There were no less than 6 GoPros mounted inside and outside the helicopter, with more carried by staff underwater documenting every moment. For $30, you'll get access to about 50 GB of raw footage from every possible angle. You can leave your devices with the staff and enjoy the experience without having to worry about photos/video and keeping track of your electronic gear - they have you more than covered! -All equipment was top-level that had clearly been prepped with care and attention to detail. Everything just worked, allowing everyone to focus on enjoying the experience. -Trident Adventures is highly experienced in supporting special-needs and disabled customers, from wounded veterans to Make-A-Wish kids. They will go the extra mile to accommodate individual limitations and are incredibly supportive. It's clear they get a massive kick out of helping people achieve what they never would have believed possible before. Watching the grin on Matthew's face as the helicopter banked sharply over the ocean, then dramatically flare into a stable hover next to the dive boat while Mom screamed and waved from the deck is something I'll never forget. I stood next to him on the skids, staying out of the way while Steve did his thing from the other side, hoping I would not need to jump with him. But Matthew confidently launched himself off the skid at the first count of three. The next thing I knew, Matt was snorkeling with Mom, while my oldest son (who has no SCUBA experience) knelt on the ocean floor next to me 45 feet down while we gazed upon 4 sea turtles getting cleaned by fish, with Steve watching over us with the GoPro running. After Steve returned my son to the surface (new diver excitement eats up a lot of air), he returned with a powerful thruster for each of us to stick between our legs, allowing us to rip around like Iron Man before it was time to head back to the boat. What an epic day for my family!

10/10 diving experience. I certified with Trident Adventures 2 years ago and now I only dive with them when I return to Oahu. Top-of-the-line equipment (the "Ferrari" of scuba diving), nice boat, professional crew, and much-needed snacks. You are treated like royalty on deck with help with your gear, including mask defogging, so that you can just focus on the dive. I dove with them this week and got a private excursion - Sea Tiger wreck + Kewalo Pipe! Saw a reef shark, countless turtles, eels, an octopus, and schools of fish. Depending on your comfort level, you can also use their motorized underwater scooters. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or advanced diver, I strongly recommend Trident Adventures. They are navy seal owned and operated, meaning you will get a safe, exhilarating, and first-class experience!

These guys/gals are the most professional dive crew I have had. Granted I am a novice with only about 12 dives under my belt, but I have used shops in Austrailia, Tahiti, Maui, Minnesota and Triton is the best. Even though this was a certified dive, they made sure us newbies were still comfortable and they were patient when I had troubles equalizing my ears. I always felt safe and in co tool of my equipment and situation which is huge for a new diver. A++ to this crew can't wait to return! read more

I have lived and dived on Oahu for 22 years, i will not dive with any other company! The staff, equipment, focus on safety, is unmatched. The owner is a former Navy Seal with a passion for sharing the wonder of scuba diving with the world! They will take great care of you and your safety and enjoyment of exploring this beautiful ocean is the focus. We were looking for a dive and snorkel option as one of us was not a ceritfied diver. Steve's crew blew our expectations out of the water. We had a wonderful charter with jordan, tyler, isaiah and captain jerry. Wonderful boat and crew who made us feel incredibly safe and encouraged us to have lots of fun! Our favorite activity this trip and an epic experience not to be missed. People make the place and Steve's crew are the best! We couldn't stop smiling all weekend thinking back on it! read more

If you are looking for an adventure go no further. This is unlike any experience you will find on the island. Steve and crew made the helicopter and dive experience unparalleled. This is a family activity you can not do anywhere else. My kids will remember this experience for the rest of their lives and have been thanking us all day (and teenagers are hard to please)! It was well documented with pictures and videos for us to reminisce and share with our loved ones. My daughter had the time of her life and will always cherish her first dive as you made it so comfortable for her. My son couldn't get enough and is already planning when he can go again. This is my second time as a resident of Oahu using Trident Adventures for jumping out of their helicopter, followed by Diving. Im a certified scuba diver with over 500 dives and so was my buddy, but his family had never experienced it and Steve who owns the company and is also a master diver and former Navy seal took his wife daughter Son and daughters boyfriend on an introductory dive and I must say it was amazing seeing them all underwater with us not freaking out not having any issues just really enjoying the experience. Everybody was so elated after the dive and especially the helicopter jump. STEVE makes everybody feel safe, and assured that nothing bad is going to happen. He has built a career with all his experience being a Navy seal on safety and precautions and going by the book when it comes to taking care of customers, I already have people that are wanting to come visit me in Hawaii and do just that, jump out of a helicopter and go diving and I will go right back to Steve, no questions asked he is showman. He's always smiling and having a good time, I've never seen anybody in my life enjoy his job more than he does. He also does an outstanding job of being a videographer underwater and up in the air. He has GoPro mounts all over the helicopter and inside and captures every moment and every smile, and you can sense the excitement when you watch the videos of yourself having the time of your life. Went out with Trident for the second time and the experience, staff and crew are always amazing. Max works his butt off and if you don't tip the man, I say shame on you. Never have to lift a finger with him around. As for the experience, Trident Adventures doesn't provide cheap gear for rentals and the cost of not having your own gear is worth the cost. Their pricing for dives is on par with other places I've been and will continue to dive with them, when on island. read more

The helicopter jump (!!!) and snorkeling adventure was THE HIGHLIGHT of our two weeks on Oahu. My kids have not stopped talking about it. Three amazing experiences wrapped into one - helicopter ride, jump and snorkeling. Who could ask for more??? Doug from Magnum Helicopters gave us a fun and smooth ride out to the dive spot. Steve took amazing care of everyone in our group. Both my 7 and 11 year-olds were excited and really nervous but Steve made sure they were prepared and ready for the jump. Needless to say, both said "AGAIN" after they finished their jumps. And, the snorkeling was amazing too! I would like to add a sixth star to Trident Adventures I really do have to thank Trident Adventures. Steve is a retired Navy SEAL who loves the ocean (nearly) as much as I do. You just can't remain complacent when you are surrounded by enthusiastic people. We're going to get Rescue Diver certification with these guys because they really know what they're doing. It's the best diving on Oahu. It's unfortunate that the Pandemic has impacted every small business on Oahu. These folks really depend on the high-end travelers who come to the Four Seasons and Aulani. I sincerely hope that they continue to hang on because they really are the very best on the island. read more

My family of 5 tried the Discover Scuba Dive. One son ended up opting out once we started descending and the other had to go up to clear his mask. Our dive professional, Malani was very sweet and patient with us. She had 2 assistants helping her but my sons said they weren't super nice to them. Unfortunately, once we got down and did all of the required stuff, we really only saw a few turtles and didn't get to really explore anything. We paid for the go-pro but got more pictures of they guy snorkeling and the crew doing free dives. Our pictures weren't very good, thankfully my husband had his own go-pro. It was only $25 so not a big deal. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this company! Owned by retired Navy SEALs, this group of people took me on the trip of a lifetime. I jumped out of a helicopter into the Pacific, then got aboard their dive boat and went scuba diving. Through it all, retired SEAL Steve and his crew made certain that every one in our party was safe and comfortable. It had been a long while since I had been diving, but Steve and dive master Jaden took excellent care of me and made sure I experienced all of the beauty and excitement of the trip. The videos of the whole event were a huge bonus. I will not forget this day ever! read more

What an absolutely amazing adventure! My husband and I jumped out of a helicopter and scuba dived! We have been doing things to fight my fear of heights and this was the best experience! Safety and instruction first, top notch instructions and their confidence level creates such a safe environment for all. Not only was I so excited to do this excursion they gave military discount BUT the email that was sent to us told us to go to the wrong location for pick up. We showed up an hour early at the PICK UP SIGN FOR TRIDENT ADV. AT PIER B ( which the email stated to be at ) and waited and WAITED until 2 . We called up and they told us to go to the shop which we couldn't find. We were walking around looking for the shop for a bit. We gave up and just called for a re book but today was the last day that they were doing that excursion. I'm so upset about this. A half day in Waikiki ruined and money wasted on 3 parking lots looking for this shop. THE WORST PART WAS WE NEVER GOT A REFUND. Robbery without gun point. read more

What a great time we had yesterday!! My 5 year old had so many firsts: Caught his first fish Snorkeling in the ocean First time on a boat of this size Saw sea turtles and whales in the ocean Very highly recommend this company. The staff was very caring, always talking with us, checking in with us and making sure we were having a great time. They were very accommodating and had little touches that really put them above and beyond (cutting fresh pineapple, warm scented towels). We made some amazing family memories and had the perfect day on the water. Very highly recommend this company! You will not be disappointed. read more

I seriously don't understand why it is so difficult to find a decent dive shop in a diving Mecca like Hawaii. Trident Adventures is no exception to this. Took some tanks for a VIP and they stated, "can't do it because you used to have nitrox in them". EDIT: There were no nitric markings on the tank aside from old pieces of tape that said "32%" on them. I had removed the NITROX bands from the tanks last year. So, these tanks were strictly ran with air only. On top of this, they were supposed to call on a Saturday to establish a drop off time. That never happened. Then I wait until Monday to call and am told, "I called the wrong person". So, I have had these tanks for YEARS and have run both nitrox and air in them with no problems until I get to Hawaii. Dive shops live and die by word of mouth so you'd think they would be a little willing to at least listen to their customers (or potential customers, in this case). My wife and I were going to book a $1200 jump and dive package as soon as things re-open but I will not give them a single red cent of my money at this point. Veteran owned and operated? As if that should sway my opinion of a sub-par company? Hard EDIT: In response to the owners passive aggressive response...This could have easily been used as a learning opportunity to inform staff of proper practices. Since this "Donna S." Responded, is like to point out that I have never seen/spoken to him so all of his information is from someone that would try and defend their wrong actions to avoid negative repercussions. With that being said, most of what he responded with is incorrect information. There were no NITROX bands on the tanks. There were small pieces of tape that have been there for a year since I last had a VIP. This service was not done to accommodate ME. They have been operating daily during the pandemic by allowing equipment servicing etc. So, now we are at poor business ethics, personality complex (clearly has a superiority complex) and a lack of basic servicing knowledge by the service techs. Also, what ever happened to the "silent professionals" Seems like more and more of y'all are using your former volunteer position to try and make money. So much for modesty read more

My sister took me on a scuba diving lesson & experience with her recently and I HAD to write this review. I frequent the ocean, and often paddle, among other activities but have never found the courage to try scuba itself. The idea of being underwater breathing always kind of tripped me out. I am so happy I decided to go for it! THE TRUTH: I actually had a mini panic attack when we got started. My brain/ body found it odd to breathe under water. I could NOT have asked for a better scuba instructor. I was instantly calmed, and was able to actually enjoy every moment going forward from this. The professionalism and ability to calm nerves underwater was what I attribute my nerve wracking turned amazing experience into what it was. Our dive: we saw sharks, fish, and even a hono on our dive ! So much more than what we could've imagined. We were also able to try the underwater scooters which was awesome!! You can tell no detail was looked over on this boat. The crew was beyond amazing, welcoming and it has easily become one of my favorite memories ever on the water. My husband has been on a few dives with trident and encouraged me to come as a ride along (since I don't scuba dive). He has been raving about the staff after each dive, especially Captain Davíd and Sean. We both had a fabulous time this morning. We had an absolutely amazing experience at Trident Adventures. I am a relatively new diver, but the whole staff was so accommodating and kind. The owner, Steve, was very generous and knowledgeable. He was easy to talk to, and his staff had a great team culture. It didn't seem like a job.. which is awesome to see. They were courteous, clean, and went the extra mile to deliver a great experience. (Fresh fruit, drink selection, organizing shoes on the dock, that stuff matters!) Also- we saw turtles, sharks, dolphins, and everything in between. 10/10. read more

I would honestly say this was the BEST scuba diving experience I've had. Have dived as a beginner in the Philippines, Bali, Europe, and other places but they r truly the best. Not the best in Hawaii but the world! Not kidding. Entire crew was on point. Detailed, organized, professional and the best of all fun. Saw dolphins, so many kinds of fish, octopus, an eel, and the best surprise was seeing a 10 foot shark from a far and safe distance. I AM terrified of sharks but Rick's demeanor and scuba skills made us feel 100% safe. Actually made me now fear less of them. I've lived here since 2019 and so far I'm so impressed with the entire trip. Planning to go back for sure!! P.S. if u can request someone as a guide. Pick Rick! They are ALL amazing but he was our guide so I'm a lil biased. Lol! Lastly-u can park in the public parking next to the place. It's the one next to the lagoon. Today, me and my parents came here for snorkeling at 10:30am Price: $$ it was cheeper than others. $149 per person for 4 hours (include snack, drink and all equipment) Staff: lovely staff. There were 4 professionals in our trip. They were always ready for helping us. We took the boat an hour ~ an hour and half to snorkeling spot And we did snorkeling 1hours with magic carpet. After snorkeling, they gave us pineapples and drink. It was best pineapple in my life, When we returning, they found a lot of dolphins ! I never seen this amount of dolphins before. It was adorable. If you are looking for a safe and FUN scuba diving experience, look no further. Since my last scuba dive was in 2016, I knew there would be some cobwebs to dust off and needed calm, well trained experts to help me regain my underwater confidence. My initial anxiety was short lived. I was comforted by the professionalism, experience, and relaxed humor which was provided by Trident Adventures. Steve and his team are amazing at what they do. Had an amazing time with Steve and his amazing boat crew as well as the team at Magnum Helicopters. Everything was top notch. It was obvious that safety was a very important aspect of the organizational culture as well. I brought my friend in for his bachelor party and it was an event for the ages. The helicopter jump was a once in a lifetime event and then the intro to scuba was much more fun than I would have imagined. The crew took videos and pictures of the entire thing too! read more

If I could give these guys and gals 12 stars I would! Did my first discovery dive, and then proceeded to get PADI open water certified with them, my instructor James made my experience amazing!! From their boat captains Davíd and Dusty and their goofy personalities and amazing pineapple cutting abilities, to their deck hands and every one on board, they make being out on the water even more fun! Trident Adventures is the definition of luxury diving. You definitely get what you pay for. The level of service is extraordinary and leads to a diving experience that cannot be compared. The boat that they use is beautiful and spacious. They go out with small group sizes to provide a more personal experience. Shawn the dive master that was with us noticed that my GoPro wasn't turning on and was quick to switch my battery with his. I am so grateful because i was able to capture amazing videos and photos that i will always have. Garret on the boat was always there to help take dive gear off and reset it up on to new tanks. He also made some delicious pineapple with Li hing and had lots of other refreshments! Captain Mark was very knowledgable and was able to pick out some great dive spots for the day! After we came back Laura and Donna at the shop were awesome and very helpful. We were looking for a new dive shop on Oahu and i think we found one. I can't wait to come back to do my rescue diver certification. read more

We went on a private snorkeling trip with Trident Adventures recently and had the best time! Everyone we met was friendly, reassuring, and just fun to be around. Captain Mark and his crew made sure everyone had a great time and we are so grateful for the experience! I have young kids (age 3-5) and was a bit worried about their experience since we've only taken them on one whale watching tour and they had puked and slept the whole ride (miserable!) We did make sure to give them Dramamine before hand which helped a ton. On the boat they were always safe and when we stopped the snorkel they brought out the big floating mat so they had somewhere to hang out but still have fun! The little ones did great in the ocean and especially liked being pulled around by Dusty (thanks Dusty!) and having him find cool see creatures to show them. They even had equipment for the little ones to try snorkeling. All of their equipment and boat was in very good condition and very clean which we appreciated. They even had a fresh water shower on board. Just a lot of thoughtful touches to make the whole experience great. We were lucky to catch some humpback whales on our tour up the west coast and saw some turtles as well. The girls are already asking to go again! Details: 1) Parking: At the end of the road, go through the ticketing gate on the left of the roundabout. It is marked for Marina members and clients joining these tours. The one on the right is always packed and for public parking so don't get stuck in that line. Once in the lot, go as far down towards the end as you can. They mark the spots well so you know which ones are ok but the end is closest to the office. When we were there the ticketing machine was broken and we had to call someone to open the gate. It said something like "Calling emergency line for help" and I panicked a bit but it was the customer service line that helped. The parking office is in the same building as Trident and you can pay there. 2) Bathrooms: there are clean public restrooms in the same building as Trident. On the 1st floor to the right if you're walking towards the building. The ship we went on also had a small toilet if needed. 3) Refreshments: ok they had the best snacks and drinks. I would have been a happy clam just riding the boat and eating! They had various bars, rice krispy treats, and gummy bears. For drinks there were water bottles, juices, sodas, and even iced coffee. 4) COVID procedures: from the office to the boat everyone was good about wearing their masks and keeping a distance. read more

We went on a snorkel cruise with Trident Adventures with our kids, a teen and a tween. The captain, Davíd (said like Daveed) was great, easygoing and fun. The crew, Loren, Dusty and Rick were super friendly and helpful. They underscored safety but weren't overly pushy about it, like some other outfits we've been out with. They got us ready and in the water as soon as we got to our spot, and we even got to try the underwater scooters, which the boys really enjoyed. The highlight of the trip was seeing a pod of dolphins swim by as we were snorkeling (and then seeing them again as we motored back to the marina). Absolute first class operation. From the greeting when you arrive, to the boat & crew, to the dive locations & dive masters, all the way to a personalized farewell gift bag. I caught a fish on our way to the dive site. We saw a massive pod of dolphins and beautiful aquatic wildlife during the dive. Stephen provides a great experience out here and you can't ask for a more welcoming, professional, and experienced crew. I am a Master Diver and have dove all over the world, but jumping into your dive from a helicopter and using a DPV (diver propulsion device) to cover a huge amount underwater landscape is an experience you'll never forget. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Steve K.

Retired Navy SEAL with vast experience in leadership, managerial positions, department head of manning/equipment, and numerous qualifications in various supervisory roles including military diving operations. I have been deployed all over the world in various war zones and other overseas locations working cross-culturally and across various government agencies. Over the past 5 years I served as the Lead Diving Instructor for the SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE (SDVT-1) training seasoned Navy SEALs to become the world's most elite combat divers. I've spent many years in several foreign countries working with host nation's key leader counterparts, US and foreign ambassadors, high-ranking State Department personnel, military flag officers, and many foreign and US politicians and dignitaries.

Erik is super chill and passionate about scuba diving, he is also a great teacher. He took great pictures of us during our dive and emailed them to us that same night. Due to a last minute addition of an EAN certification, I was able to make my first two EAN dives. Gem worked with me to get quickly up to speed when I arrived late (my fault). Despite this I was able to complete my EAN certification in time for the dive. Capt. Matt gave a very thorough and professional boat safety briefing before we left, and it was clear from all staff that safety is first. Divemaster Charles briefed each dive in detail, with clear instructions for ingress and egress. The three sites had varying degrees of difficulty: LCU (deep + current), Skimmins Ledge (drift), and Sea Caves (shallow & drift), and each required some special planning. Charles made everything clear and easy to understand. Safety is first with this crew, but close behind is Divers satisfaction...they all worked very hard to make sure we had a great day. I want to thank the whole crew, and I apologize for not remembering all the names. A special shout out to Divemaster Elena (sp?), who recently became a US citizen -- we are proud to welcome you! I chose Island Divers this time because I have never lived on the Windward side, and really wanted to see something different. But I will go with Island Divers next time because it's a great shop - and by that I mean its a great staff.

He had absolutely no patience and was openly unprofessional, not just with us but in the way he interacted with others as well. There was no concern for how unsafe the situation was, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right. For an activity where safety, trust, and professionalism are critical, this operation fell short on every level. We paid nearly $700 and walked away feeling stressed, unsafe, and completely disappointed. I would strongly caution newer or less experienced divers before booking here. This is not the kind of environment where you feel supported or safe.

I walked into a few other surf and snorkel spots but they mostly carried short fins. I went with the Leaderfins which are the most affordable carbon fins. The fins do come separately from the foot pocket, so I also got their forza foot pockets. They do offer a service where they put together your fins and foot pockets but only certain people are trained on that, so I did have to pick it up just a few days later- and that service is $30. I also got a pair of diving socks to go with my fins. They have different sizes, thicknesses, and cuts (high vs low). I also got a new diving mask and snorkel. The best thing about going to a dive shop is the ability to try things on and Westside Dive has so many different options. Being able to put on the foot pockets with the diving socks or even just trying on a few different masks to find the one that best fits your face is why it's better to come in person than buying online. The service was also super friendly. I was making some big purchases, so I wanted to make sure that each component was exactly right and the staff here was helpful and overall super chill. I've been dropping by every time we're back on the islands for over 20 years, and it's still the first stop off the plane. I will say though, service can be a little rough sometimes. Some days are good, some days not so much. But honestly, that's never been the point of this place. You're not coming here for some polished haole sales pitch of some sort, you're coming because these guys know what they're doing and they'll get you what you need so you can get back in the water. And that's where they really shine. Need a j tube? They've got it. Need a new band? They can fab it up in like 5 minutes so you can still make it to the spot on time. They almost always have exactly what I need in stock and at a fair price. You'll see some of the best divers in the islands and honestly, some of the best in the world just casually stopping in. The shirts and designs are also totally underrated. They've got their own local style and I've of course picked up a few over the years and they hold up good. Hanapa'a is one of those rare functional places you can always rely on. it's rooted in the community, and it delivers when it counts. If you dive, you already know. If you don't, this is where you start. Just don't be a Karen and you'll be good.

I live in Hawaii and I have been diving for many years. Having reviewed multiple price points on the island, different locations, etc, I decided to give Trident Adventures a go. At first glance, their price point is a bit higher than the crowd. However, there is a reason why. You can always dive "coach style" with any regular charter, but diving 1st class is what you are going to experience with Trident. For starters, you will diving out of KoOlina on the westside of Oahu. Trident and their dive boat is located in KoOlina where you have reached the pinnacle of exclusivity and amazingness. Check for yourself, KoOlina.com. Once you step aboard the Trident Dive Boat, you are greeted with the most amazing customer service (like 1st class) with an invitation for a cold beverage and/or snacks. Their dive boat has the hydrofloor cushy feeling which virtually no commercial vessel I have been on have. This is your "leather seating." Aside from the creature comforts of the most roomy and comfortable boat space, Trident gives you the best of the best dive gear (I think my gear still had the tags on it). Everything was labeled with my name and when diving, everything from the mask being defogged through the fins being placed on your feet was perfectly attended to by the 1st Mate. On this particular day, we went fishing before heading to our 1st dive experience where I had the opportunity to catch a yellow fin tuna. For fishing alone, I would have paid hundreds if not thousands of dollars to experience this special moment of reeling in a 30lb pelagic fish! More on that later... On to the diving ...our 1st dive site entailed some artificial sunken landing crafts at around 90ft where we ***spoiler*** used a Diving Propulsion Vehicle (DPV). No joke, these things will spoil you the rest of your life. These babies are the commercial grade $4,000+ TUSA ones that can turn your dive into "magical ocean dreaming!" Although I had never used one, Trident briefed and trained us on how to use them in minutes. If you have never used one before, I implore you to google DPV videos. It will change your life. You will never want to regular scuba dive ever again. Again, 1st Class is what you pay for and what you receive. The 1st dive site with a DPV proved to be an epic journey covering a lot of ground effortlessly capturing sights of eagle rays, exotic fish, turtles, and moray eels. It was truly breathe taking and amazing! After the 1st dive site, we boarded the dive boat where we were greeted with fresh pineapple (sprinkled with sugared plum powder), cold beverages, and the option to where "we" the group wanted to dive next with an assortment of options. The consensus was to do a shallow dive known as the "electric slide" using the DPV(s) to cover a 1/2 mile terrain of the most amazing wildlife Hawaii has to offer. The 2nd site consisted of wild dolphins, fish, turtles, and ripping fun through the terrain riding on the DPV. As an added bonus, the dive guides take GoPro video of everyone's adventure to memorialize this "dream adventure" and to have bragging rights of riding a DPV. In some instances, the guides grab your GoPro and take footage of you smiling behind your regulator. After the 2nd dive, we were once again greeted with the aforementioned amenities including a warm relaxing lavender towel to wipe our hands and face from the salt water. Ask yourself, have you ever experienced that on a dive boat? Going back to the harbor, we were given an opportunity to ask any questions about the wildlife we saw or take a bag of the freshest fish home to cook up. How about that? It doesn't get any better, seriously! All in all, if you were contemplating who to go with on your next dive trip on Oahu, there is no question that Trident Adventures should be on your speed dial. read more

My wife booked this snorkeling trip last minute through the concierge at our hotel. I assumed this would be a typical cattle boat snorkeling excursion - a big boat packed with people who may or may not be able to swim. When we arrived at the shop I was pretty excited to see that it was packed with scuba gear. THe staff at the desk were incredibly nice, offering us coffee and water prior to boarding the boat and we sat down and started talking to the others waiting. Pretty soon I realized most of the people there were diving, not snorkeling. I was a little bummed, first because I was not planning to dive and second because good snorkel sites and good dive sites are not always the same place. After the briefing from the Captain, we loaded onto the nicest dive boat I have ever been on and was greeted by the amazing crew. On the ride out, my wife mentioned that we were certified divers to the owner Steve. He offered to rig us up and let us dive. We politely declined because we wanted to snorkel with our kids, at which he offered to get the kids (14 and 17) rigged up and give them a Discover Scuba session. My son jumped at the idea and so we ended up snorkeling the first site as a family and diving the second site while the girls snorkeled. The rental gear was all top of the line Scubapro from mask down to the fins. Much of it is the exact same gear that I own (only newer). They also let me use a DPV (underwater scooter). That was the coolest thing to feel the water rushing by your face as you effortlessly glide above the reef. I loved going fast, but I also was happy to cruise along slowly and enjoy the sea life with my son. After the dive they had fresh pineapple, snacks, and soft drinks aboard. We rode back to the dock, chatting with Captain Mark and Steve. It was quite the full-service experience. The pre dive briefing was thorough and focused on safely using the gear. The dive team helped with everything from bucking in to the BC to putting on fins and defogging the masks. It was a little disconcerting to me at first because I've done this so many times, but they are the experts and this was their show. I fully recommend this shop, especially for new divers who are looking to learn from those who taught some of the best divers on the planet. It's great for old guys like me too, because I think you should learn something new everyday and the DPV's are an added layer of fun. read more

In Hawai'i there is just as much to see on the ocean floor as there is to see on land. It is absolutely necessary to fit in a diving experience when on this island. Trident Adventures provides this far beyond expectations and really reflect the best parts of Hawai'i in a single dive! I've had the chance to dive around multiple parts of this island, and I saw more in this one dive than all of the others combined. The crew knows the best sites and reefs to visit to give you the best diving experience possible. If you want to see anything specific, they know where to take you! I wanted to see a turtle and I saw multiple turtles, a shark, a whale, and more types of fish and coral than I could count! Trident Adventures' diversity in their crew and the capacity of knowledge they hold for the ocean and safety in experience is unparalleled by any other dive shop. I was very impressed. You'd think as a new company there would be some bumps in the road, but they operate as if they have been running for years. It is not only owned and run by ex-Navy Seals, but the crew is a combination of very well experienced dive masters and instructors, some of the top ocean safety influencers on the island, captains who drive so smooth you forget you're on a boat, and even a marine scientist who has direct experience in ocean research! They make the experience fun with whale watching, music, eating fruit, fishing, etc. They even offer helicopter jumps to head straight into a dive! I have dove for ocean research and recreationally, dry suit and wet suit, and the scuba pro equipment, without question, is the nicest equipment I've ever used with any dive. It's very clear that the gear is safe and taken care of. The boat also extends far beyond the standards of any dive boat I have been on. The no slip floor material and size make the experience enjoyable and safe with plenty enough room for everyone. I highly recommended Trident Adventures to every one of all skill levels (from discover scuba to helicopter jumps!) - this company is very new and is already known as one of the best dive companies on the island, located on the best side of the island to dive! read more

It's easy to write a review when everything goes smooth. What happens when things don't go smooth. How does the staff react and are they prepared? And with scuba diving you hope they are prepared, otherwise things can go south quickly. I can tell you from personal experience Trident is prepared. My wife was not feeling good on our second dive, even though on the first dive she dove to 60 feet and swam through a sunken ship with owner/guide/Navy Seal Steve Kaplan. We were diving at 15-20 feet and she was not feeling good; Steve noticed this, rose with her to the surface at a slow pace to check on her. She said she could swim back to the boat, but Steve declined this idea and had her hold on to his left shoulder and he swam her back to the boat. He got her on the boat, wrapped a jacket around her and gave her water to hydrate. She was "sea sick" and to take her mind off of the boat rocking, he had her sit next to the captain and drive the boat to the dock to take her mind off of "sickness". Trident is "first class". Never more than a 3-1 ratio of divers to instructors. They have extra instructors roaming the water to check that there are no issues. On the first deep dive Steve was helping my wife and 2 roamers were checking on me and rose with me and stayed as we did our 3 minute 15 feet stop/rest. Staff puts your gear on for you (top of line equipment, wet suits, masks and fins) and staff puts on your mask and fins prior to entering the water and helps remove them as you finish your dive and get back on the boat. There are no "up charges" for anything and they have motorized "scuba jets" to use. Here are the traits that stick out on Steve and Trident staff. 1. Great happy personalities. 2. They want you to have a great experience. 3. If there is an issue, these are the people you want in the water with you!!!! Thanks Steve and Trident, wish you all the best and success!! read more

This is a FULL-SERVICE dive operation. EVERYONE was amazing!!! Dove Tues, Wed & Fri July 18-21, 2023 with them. They are a little more expensive, but there is a reason why. Upon arrival at the boat, all gear is set up for you (gear is included in cost) with the shorty folded nicely below your BC. They switch out all gear during the surface interval. When it's time to gear up, they literally help you get geared up: from snapping all buckles on the BC, to applying defog on mask as you stand at the back of the boat and put it on your head and then you step into your fins while they are holding the straps for easy foot entry! FULL SERVICE!!! Tues our Captain was Dusty and Wed & Fri we had David. All days our DM was Alejo & 1st mate was Brian. EVERYONE was fantastic. I get cold and they provided me a long sleeve shorty :) They take GoPro video which you can purchase. We (husband, 20 y/o son & myself) booked the 7am 2-tank dives and were not disappointed. Tues dove the Sea Tiger & Pipe. Saw lots of green moray eels and several turtles. Wed, due to a storm Tues night, we dove the Sea Tiger again and a reef. Fri, we dove the Y-O & San Pedro. Saw 2 white tip reef sharks, different size eels. We then went to Turtle canyon and as the name implies- we were not disappointed! There is a cooler with drinks on board and snacks. There is also a fresh water shower/rinse. As most boats have, they also had 2 buckets at the back for gear. All crew were friendly & energetic. Capt. David was a little worried because he knew we dove the Sea Tiger the prior day, but due to the conditions, he felt it was not safe to go to the Y-O. I appreciate that safety was of utmost importance. I can't say enough amazing things about Trident Adventures! Navy Seal, Steve Kaplan, from Trident Adventures and our wedding planner Steve Young, from Dream Weddings Hawaii, worked together and planned our perfect wedding adventure! Our adventure started off going off by taking off in brand new helicopter where we went up to a beautiful cliff overlooking Waimea Beach. This is where the magic happened and we eloped! We were so blessed and honored to have Steve Kaplan from Trident Adventures marry us! Yes, not only is Steve a navy seal but also an ordained minister! Steve wrote the most beautiful vows for us using 1st Corinthians Chapter 13 that brought happy tears to our eyes. It couldn't have been more perfect for us. We then had a private tour in the helicopter with breathtaking views of the island! The next day we met up with Steve and now we start the real navy seal experience! We went doors off in the chopper on the way for the Helicopter Jump! I was so nervous but let me tell you, Trident Adventures has this down! It was the best experience ever! So professional and they have everything covered! We did the jump which was an insane adrenaline rush and so much fun! (Next time I want to go higher!) After the jump was the dive which was absolutely beautiful! We saw so many turtles it was awesome! Not to mention their dive equipment and everything was top notch! They had the latest and best dive equipment I have ever seen! If I get back to Oahu, this is definitely on my list as must absolutely do again!!! And Steve - the bouquet toss - Super Awesome!!! First of all full disclaimer: I'm a 74 year old quadriplegic. I went on a Trident boat dive on November 21 2025. We left from Kiwalo Basin on their scuba boat. The boat looks new and was in excellent condition. There was an ice chest with cold drinks and water and also they were snacks on board. One of the crew sliced up two watermelons for everyone to munch on. That was a very nice touch. All of the crew were very nice, very friendly, very professional. I was treated like family. Before anyone was allowed to suit up and get in the water there was a safety briefing and an ecology briefing. And this was all very very professional It was a fairly short boat Ride to the dive site. Once we got to the dive site and the boat was secure Steve got in the water and the crew helped me in the water. Steve got my scuba gear on me while I was in the water There were absolutely no issues whatsoever. It was all very easy. After the dive Steve and the crew helped me get out of the water; again it was all very very easy and very professional. Steve was my security diver. He was great! We dove on a wreck off Honolulu harbor. Right off the bat there were two sharks cruising the ocean floor with three giant sea turtles maybe 5 feet across that appeared to be living on the shipwreck. The turtles were very friendly; they wanted to visit and play with us. This is truly a once in a lifetime adventure. It doesn't matter whether your scuba certified or not Trident will take excellent care of you. If you come to Hawaii you have to do this! This will definitely be a bucket list, once in a lifetime experience that you cannot afford to miss. Thank you Trident; thank you Steve; thank you the entire boat crew of Trident. read more

Absolutely unforgettable experience--Hawaiian hospitality at its finest. From start to finish, our experience with Trident Adventures was nothing short of incredible. The entire team--Jackson, Tru, Faith, Jerry, Aiden and Tito--was outstanding. They were professional, knowledgeable, calm, and genuinely kind, and they immediately put us at ease. We honestly felt like we had our own private charter, which made the experience even more special. One of the most touching parts of the day was witnessing the Aloha spirit in action--being included in such a meaningful dive that helped make it possible for a diver with ALS to experience the ocean. That alone speaks volumes about the heart behind this organization. Stephen, the owner, is truly one of a kind. He is as genuine as they come and embodies what Hawaiian hospitality is all about. He even invited us to his home and cooked us an incredible meal--an experience we'll never forget. That level of kindness and authenticity is rare. His wife, Andrea the same!!! The in-water experience was amazing. As a newer diver, I felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. The guides went above and beyond--bringing an octopus over for us to hold, pointing out sea turtles, eels, and beautiful schools of fish. Meanwhile, David was able to sharpen his skills and complete his final certification, and I still had an absolute blast every step of the way. This wasn't just a dive--it was an experience filled with heart, purpose, and unforgettable memories. We are so grateful and cannot recommend Trident highly enough. This is the funnest adventure company we have ever been with. Seriously incredible. If it was only for the scuba diving it would be 5 stars, but they offer so much more. On the dive we saw turtles, 2 sharks, spotted eagle ray, eels, and tons of fish.but that was only the tip of the iceberg. Some of our family don't scuba dive. No problem!!! They got to snorkel while we were diving. We also got to whale watch and we saw 7 whales including two that breached. We also did some fishing which was fun. To top it off we ran into a big pod of dolphins, and Capt. Mark asked if anybody needed to be back to shore on time. Nobody did, so we spent an extra 30 min observing the dolphins. Wow talk about going above and beyond. Most tour companies are rushing back, but not these guys. The service was impeccable. They had the tanks and gear pre-set up to our specific sizes. The crew put on our fins for us, and offered a fresh water shower once out of the salt water. They cut up fresh fruit for us, and had plenty of drinks to keeps us hydrated. The music was fun, and the crew made us feel like family. They also were very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We have gone on many, many tours as a family, but have never experienced any company quite as amazing and accommodating as these guys. There company is located right in Ko Olina so it makes access perfect for anybody visiting Oahu. FYI West Oahu offers the best diving and snorkeling in Oahu. Lastly I have to mention that Trident is owned and operated by Navy Seals. These guys know the ocean and safety better than anyone. Love It!!! read more

This is a 100% authentic review, I have to give credit where credit is due. This is a top notch scuba diving operation - Steve and Jim, and the rest of the dive team do an amazing job; I really enjoyed every aspect of diving with them...the boat is awesome and safety is always my biggest concern (I've heard some pretty ridiculous stories of other dive operations with accidents so I was sure to do my homework). Diving with two Navy SEALs is probably the best case scenario when it comes to safety and experience. I'm big on details and it was great to have brand new dive gear and a nice boat to dive from - another key aspect is they operate out of the Ko Olina Marina so it was easy being minutes away from the hotels. We did an awesome deep dive off Makaha, then a shallower dive and saw some white tips and honu, with some awesome reef formations. I dove from Waikiki a few days earlier and the water clarity was terrible and there were like 3 other dive boats at the same site...I really prefer the West Side because the water is always clear and it's not crowed at all. Trident is the only dive program from Ko Olina so it's nice to not have a ton of other dive programs swarming the same dive spot. I would 110% recommend them - the dive shop is actually upstairs on the second floor of the Ko Olina Marina, they have all sorts of dive gear up there, and that's where you check in for the dive. There is so much good to say about Trident and Adventures and their staff. Being an Instructor and manager of a Dive Shop myself, I understand the logistical challenges of running a "normal" shop. Steve at Trident Adventures has done something most would consider impossible, which is providing a legitimate once in a lifetime experience. Although I didn't do the helicopter jump, I got to watch 2 of them in one day and I'm kicking myself for not participating. Then I got to talk with Steve, the owner, and he's one of the most genuine people I've ever met. I know the feeling of having to try and make customers feel good while also being stern during your teaching moments and Steve was able to snap in and out of that so fluently. One moment you're talking about helicopters and jumping and how much fun it is then when it's time to learn he snaps into a serious and "listen to me" mode, once he's done he goes right back to his "let's go have fun" attitude. Even as I was leaving the dive shop, after buying some merch, I could hear Steve doing an in depth safety briefing with his staff for the jumps scheduled for the following day. Trident Adventures has earned my recommendation to my own students for those traveling to Oahu. Absolutely amazing!! The most first class operation I have ever had the pleasure of paying for. From the booking to thru the end of the trip was 5 star. We booked a two tank dive trip for my family (2 certified divers, 2 discover scuba, and one 6 yr old snorkeler). I'll admit, I was surprised by the price at first....it was more expensive than the other local companies. However, what I quickly found out is that it was worth every penny!! And then some!! On our way out to the site, the crew threw out fishing lines and we hooked 4 tuna...they allowed the customers to fight the fish and bring em in. What?!?! On a dive trip!! What a treat!! Also, they provided underwater scooters to Cruze around the reef on the dive...never done that before...really a cool experience. The topside crew completely entertained my 6 yr old daughter with a guided snorkeling experience and instruction...so that we could dive with our other daughters. Wow!! Steve (ex navy seal), the owner, was on the boat for the trip...obvious that he loves what he does for a living now...after his former job of providing freedom for our country. Thanks again Steve and crew for the most amazing dive experience I have ever been on!!! I'm writing this review as I enjoy the fresh tuna sashimi they sent Home with us. AMAZING dive company EVER!!! My family of four including my husband and two teenagers I had the most amazing time with Trident adventures! Out of all the dive shops I have tried over the past two decades of driving in 11 countries, Trident, by far was the best of all!! Unparalleled in service and equipment, every member of the crew was genuinely super, super nice!! From the amazing Donna signing all in at the shop, to the super welcome by the boat captain Mel, Supported by his team right Dartnell and the sweetest Dusty, everyone made us feel so special! We were pampered with leave in conditioners, to Argan oils, to a continuous buffet of snacks including freshly cut pineapples passed around on trays with a huge smile. The gear is top of the line ScubaPro and luxuries with DPVs for every diver. I had the luxury of turtle backing on Steve, the ex-Seal and owner for the first dive and I swear it is an experience to try - call it Tandem Diving! Dusty made sure we all had our masks well coated with anti-fog and helped us put them on last minute before jumping into the water with the perfect tension on the straps. The fins were laid out at the end of the boat for us to step in one foot at a time...talk about service!!! Had a GREAT time with this Dive Operation. I am a 30 year PADI certified diver. Went on their 3 hour snorkel / scuba dive trip with my 3 teenagers who all enjoyed themselves. 2 Certified divers in my group were well taken care of, totally given 5 star service. Very nice up to date equipment supplied. Even got to use their underwater ski scooters...all included. What a fun day !! The crew and dive masters aboard were all so knowledgable, friendly and well trained. My 15 year old had his 1st into to scuba diving experience and it went smoothly... and he now wants to get certified. The boat was very clean and the snacks and drinks served were refreshing. Boat captain gave us extras like seeing spinner dolphins up close, and sea turtles. I will return when I visit West Honolulu (Ko Olina) again. Especially if you're staying in Ko Olina...it's a great excursion which is right at the local harbor. My kids will remember this time for many years to come. The owner was aboard and was so nice and engaging. I've been on countless diving boats over 30 years...but safety and excellence in service is my bench mark of a great boat. Trident Adventures was amazing! The company is run by Steve Kaplan, owner and Navy SEAL, he did an excellent job. His guests ranged from very experienced to first timers and he handled it all perfectly, very thorough and detailed. In addition the office staff was super nice and organized, and the crew on board the boat was very fun, helpful and professional. The boat is immaculate, there was always snacks, fresh fruit and drinks available, and the gear for those who needed it was in excellent condition. The trip was fantastic! We were blessed with beautiful conditions on the west side that included two dives. The first was a wreck at 90 ft. In crystal clear water that was home large rays and a few curious sharks. A great surprise was that Steve has DPVs available for whoever wants to use them, and I'll say they really spoil you! Being able to just fly through space like that is really incredible and something I've never experienced. The second dive was at Makaha and was really a highlight. Sand bottom with endless reef formations, and long lava tubes to be explored. Every fish imaginable, eels, octopus, lots of turtles and a pod of Spinner Dolphins that spent most of the day with us. Unbelievable day, Trident Adventures is beyond first class! Steve does a fantastic job and was a great host! read more

Incredible Helicopter Adventure with Trident Adventures in Oahu Our helicopter dive trip with Trident Adventures in Oahu was legendary! My brother, two friends, and I kicked our visit off with a helicopter jump-- you read that right--directly onto our first south shore dive site. WHO DOES THIS?!? (We do!) Once in the water, we were guided by Faith, whose calm expertise kept us on track. She knew the sites like the back of her hand taking us to "the honey hole" of turtles and sharks. We rode scuba scooters, easily zooming around to see more reef and structure than we otherwise would have. She pointed out critters from the huge (a white tipped reef shark) to the tiny (nudibranch) and everything in between. Did I mention she taught is how to run the scooters??!! Milo was our behind-the-scenes logistics wizard--handling gear, transport, and timing with precision efficiency. From the marina to the heli-pad, to the dive boat and back, he kept everything dialed in so we could focus on the experience. We felt like kings! Steve and the whole crew made sure we were having a blast. If you're looking for a dive operation that blends elite-level adventure with top-tier professionalism and heart, Trident Adventures is it. If you want an unforgettable experience, this is who you go with! 100/10 Dive of a lifetime, hands down the best on Oʻahu! I am still buzzin' from my experiences with @TridentAdventuresHawaii They have something for all ages, and all skill levels. Seriously, look no further, this is the company! You can expect Elite Navy SEAL precision meeting pure aloha energy! I started the first day with a 2 tank boat dive (pipeline & a beautiful wreck dive with swim throughs) Second day Helo jump and scuba with DPV! And if you're even thinking about the helicopter jump dive -- do it!! It's absolutely unreal. The amount of marine life seen on my dives was incredible! From start to finish, they deliver an experience that goes way beyond diving, it's pure ocean magic mixed with Navy-SEAL-level professionalism. The crew is next-level! Off the charts positive review! Great day on and under the water with Trident Adventures! My family and I had an awesome time snorkeling and exploring the waters off Oahu's West Side. The entire crew made a great day awesome! Their great energy, good vibes, attitudes, professionalism, attention to safety and hospitality were the best we've had. They weren't concerned with rushing through the experience to make the 2pm scheduled end time. We stayed out on the water past 3pm as they ensured everyone had a great time and a complete experience. Stephen was an awesome host as he cut up fresh watermelon and pineapple along the way. He found out that my wife didn't have a good diving experience with another company and she was a bit scared to give it another try. But he took his time, explained everything to her and helped her feel comfortable to give it another try and take a dive with him! So he took us both on another chance to explore the great sport of scuba diving! Success! She had a great experience and wants to continue - all this thanks to Stephen and his teammates. The other members of the charter were all fun too and laid back. Made the day fantastic and memorable. All in all, a great day on the water, with great people, of which they'll be seeing a lot more of us!! read more
