I came in on 10/10/24 and got what I can honestly say has turned out to be the worst piercing of my life. I initially noticed a day or two later that the placement was a little strange and seemed to be closer to the edge of my ear than I expected but I chalked it up to swelling and jewelry that was too large for the placement. As time went on, I could tell that the placement was definitely off so I went to another shop to see if I should take the piercing out immediately or see if it heals. I was told that the placement was not good, but I could give it some time to see if I am able to heal it so that's what I did. About a month after the initial piercing, when I was cleaning it, I noticed I could see what looked like the bar for my jewelry through my ear (see attached photo). I initially intended to leave it in and wait to come back when this shop opened, but it was so close to coming out of my skin that I decided later that day to just take it out so that it could heal and I could get it re-pierced at a different shop with a piercer that I know I can trust. When I took the jewelry out the remaining edge of my skin came with it, leaving a chunk missing out of my tragus (see attached photo). I emailed the shop explaining what had happened and requesting a refund, but was told that I should have come in sooner and I would not get any sort of refund. Save your money and skin and stay far away from this place. As stated in several of my emails, the jewelry was changed to titanium and a reputable piercer disagreed with your statement regarding placement, telling me that it was not correct. Not wanting to waste my money, I gave it a chance to heal anyways which I can see now was a mistake - hope this helps clarify :) BTW for anyone looking for piercings I would highly recommend Certified Tattoo on Colfax! I've had great experiences with both piercings and tattoos here and regret not going to them for this as well.

I have been looking and waiting to get an Autism Acceptance tattoo. After I had a friend of mine (who lives on the east coast design a few designs tattoos, and I set up a consultation with Nina. She is absolutely amazing. She took the designs and "mashed" them together into exactly what I was looking for. I have several more tattoos that I will be going to Nina to design and tattoo on me. Her work is amazing, her line fine work is what really drew me towards her and her work. She made a design that I absolutely love and I can't wait to have more work done from her!!!

Unfortunately I can not rave about Tribe. My artist (Nina) was seemingly not having a good day and it reflected in her demeanor with me and her work on my tattoo. I was getting a 3 word tattoo in Courier. I questioned the letter spacing and the size of the font as well as the boldness of one word vs the others and she coudn't see what I saw and refused the make the letters smaller, which suprised me as I have seen tats much finer. She was grumpy, never smiled, and offered zero support. When I asked her to redo the stencil she just reapplied the original one, which looked exactly the same. My instinct immediately was walk away, no one wants a grumpy tattooist. And my fault entirely for not having the strength to follow my gut, and leave. I will be having it removed sadly, to great expense. My daughter, though, had a wonderful experience with her artist and a lovely tattoo.

Probably my favorite tattoo experience I've had so far. Maia was incredible! Super fun to talk to for my whole 4 hour session, made sure I was super comfortable, and of course her art is amazing. The location is great with tons of space and cool things to look at while you're getting tattooed. I'm sorry, I completely forget his name, but I was there for the new front desk person's first day, and everyone was so nice and helpful to both him and I while we set me up as a new client. I live in Boston, but I'd totally make the trip out there to get another. Thank you all! :)

Overall, my experience was just ok. When you leave a 27% tip to an artist you would think they would be receptive to the details you want fixed during the complemetary touch up. Sorry if I offended you Genevieve with my feelings on how some of the line work turned out but I was not happy that my flower petal looked like it had toes... The anatomy of the flower was not consistent with the original photo I provided. I kindly ask her to "enhance the anatomy" by correcting the line work that didn't reflect in the original photo. She tired to tell me that's how flowers look and was unreceptive. What was so disappointing was how she made me feel. Very different from the first sitting with her she went from hot to cold and made me feel that I was not worth her time. I asked her to add in white to the tips of the stamen near the pistil in the center to create the pollen bulbs that was missing from the original photo and help correct the darkness. She ignored me and added white randomly in-between instead. I was really disappointed leaving the shop the second time, I felt I over paid for average work and was disappointed in the work that was produced.

Elvis is THE BEST. He has a wonderful eye for design and is so fun to work with. He will make you feel super welcome in his space and check in on you throughout your appointment. He'll make you laugh and he's an incredibly gentle tattoo artist. You'll want to go out for a coffee with him after, or a tequila The shop itself is wonderfully clean and perfectly styled. The camaraderie between the artists is fun to be around and they love looking at each other's art! Once my tattoo was done everyone wanted to see, which is wonderful for one's confidence. The price is totally fair for a tattoo of this size. Some people may feel it is a bit high but if you're putting something on your body permanently and asking someone to take the time to design for you: it's worth every penny and more. This shop has a WONDERFUL response time. The people working the front desk are fantastic. Before coming here I tried 5 different parlors that all had horrible customer service. This shop knows it's stuff, has been here for years, and will take care of you. I got a piercing on my forward helix a week before this tattoo and it is healing very nicely. The piercing experience was quick and painless (time-wise ) and my piercer was very knowledgeable.

My husband and I came here to get tattoos- seconds for each of us, first time here. Our artists were Connie and Nicole who both do excellent work. My husband's tattoo was done by Connie and is a blacked out eagle, globe and anchor (USMC) tattoo which came out great. Connie does great line work and did an awesome job on his. The placement is perfect and the size for his arm is ideal; she had a couple different sizes stenciled out which was nice because we were able to see what worked best for his arm size. My tattoo that was done by Nicole and is a small forearm black piece that is the perfect minimalist design I was after. Her suggestion on placement was spot on. I will continue to see her in the future for some other ideas I have. I think you are in good hands with all of the artists here. During my husband's session a few oft the other artists were checking in, looking at the work done, which is cool because you can tell hey have a good work environment here where everyone is collaborative on the work going on. That tells me this is a great shop in terms of custom work because they can put their heads together if needed and come up with something awesome for you. Scheduling with Holly is a breeze and they are very accommodating schedule wise. I really like this place and will recommend to my family and friends. Sister and I will probably make a visit to here on her next visit to Denver to get some sissy tattoos. :-) read more

I loved the environment. Made an appointment for 1:30 and wasn't seen until after 3:00. Was told my piercing would be $30 and after getting pierced and choosing from the "basic" "comes with" jewelry I was charged $50. Piercing was also crooked. read more

I'd been wanting this tattoo for a while but couldn't find anyone who said they could tattoo the small, delicate letters without the ink blending. Heard about Tribe from a friend, and Erik was able to get me in that night. The tattoo seems simple, but few artists can do the clean lines of the tiny lettering like Erik did. I'm stoked at the finished art and can't wait to add more! Also, everyone at the shop was super nice and accommodating! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Run if you get matched with graham. Graham was extremely rude and condescending. Also threatened to raise the price because he had to re-draw to match what I had already requested in the email. Do not reserve an appointment without knowing what artist you're getting and making sure they can read. I paid a non refundable $50 dollar fee, and sent a detailed email with a simple tattoo design I was wanting. I arrived promptly for my appointment and the tattoo was not close at all to what I had asked for. I had to show him the email and he said it was the worst description he's ever seen and laughed at me. I had to google simple images for him to give examples. He finally got the tattoo to what I had originally asked if he had just read my email before I came in...but not without saying I had wasted his time because he had to redraw. I also stated several times I wanted thin lines and that was the last straw is he said it was stupid and wouldn't look good. I'm like why would you take on a tattoo request where I stated twice in the emails that lines must be thin? Why is it so hard to read? I wasted the $50. I will never return here and will be sure to warn others. So unprofessional. No one should make an appointment and pay a fee and be made to feel like getting a tattoo that you asked for is too much or being made fun of. UNPROFESSIONAL. Awful. I have 7 tattoos and have never been treated like this. read more

This place is the best tattoo place in Denver and really Colorado, as a whole. Tanner is a phenomenal tattoo artist and the way his artist skills come through on the tattoos is crazy amazing! tribe tattoo shop is easily the best tattoo shop in denver , i usually get tattooed by macy or liz. macy is a newer artist but she is so sick her line work is beautiful and the ink stays in the tattoo so well. Liz is a different style of artist she is more technical and has so much experience with smaller lines and very technical tattoos but she has a wide range of what she can tattoo! they just never miss a beat. If you ever get the chance to get tattooed by the owner john don't miss out, he absolutely rips he is so fast and so precise it's truly insane what he can do with a needle. By far a 5 star shop super nice environment everyone is so nice and welcoming there ! i highly recommend you get tattooed there! read more

I scheduled an appointment with Graham to get a tattoo on my foot to celebrate my birthday. It was so easy to schedule my appointment! The sweet lady who answered the phone and made my appointment was so friendly and easy to talk to! I had to describe the tattoo idea over the phone and didn't do a good job, but she was super helpful and nice. The actual tattoo shop is gorgeous! The details are just so well thought out and truly beautiful. I've never been to a tattoo shop that was as well decorated and put together at Tribe. Graham was insanely friendly and personable. He listened to what I wanted and made sure it was perfect before starting. I really appreciated his attention to detail and care over my tattoo. I will definitely come back for another tattoo and highly recommend! I also appreciate how safe and clean they are during Covid. read more

Tribe is by far the best tattoo shop I've ever seen! The building is a work of art. The artists are amazing. Everything is clean and sanitized regularly, this means everything these days! Yesterday, I got my first tattoo done by Ben and I couldn't be happier. The parlor is clean and well run. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. They truly care about their customers and run a quality establishment. I felt comfortable the moment I walked in. I walked in without an appointment and Ben was there and open for the next hour. He sat down with me and discussed my design. Even better, he gave me feedback and told me what would work well and what he would recommend. His advice was excellent and top notch. He ended up simplifying my design into a more cohesive piece. He looked online and found better options for my idea and then created something that was unique and perfect for what I wanted. He was kind, funny, and a pleasure to work with. In all, I spent 2 hours in the shop creating my design and then getting it tattooed (45 minutes). I will definitely go back to see Ben, again! read more

Place is a straight up joke. Quoted me $350 for simple black text in the end I'm not some noob idiot who is getting his first tattoo in a shop. Ended up going to Dead Drift and Dan took care of me that day for $140 and it looks as good as it can get being as it's not custom. A simple logo. Jerk offs. read more

Denver is such a big city that I was overwhelmed with how many different options I had to choose from, but I'm so thankful & grateful I ended up at TRIBE TATTOO DENVER, with Josh Topher. Both tattoos Josh has done for me he got me in the day of! He was awesome working with my schedule because it was an hr drive for me. The tattoo shop itself is the best vibe ever and the all of the artists are so artistic and unique in their own way. It's located in the Santa Fe Art District so you are super close to food with the range of 7/11 like me or a restaurant after or before you're tat.. even though they are in a really busy part of Denver it's not that bad! TRIBE TATTOO HAS THEIR OWN PARKING SECTION!!!! Josh was so sanitary and clean on both occasions. I am still in awe at the work Josh has done for me and would recommend booking with him today!!!! My tattoo was infected already by the time I took off the plastic wrap. I have dozens of tattoos and know how to take care of them. This one was immediately swollen and red and only got worse. I blame the shop. My artist was Graham. No one gave me a consent form to sign or asked me if I take medication or have any allergies. Also I was neither asked nor even informed that they would be using lidocaine on me. I will never go back here. I can only assume there was a lack of cleanliness. Seriously they should be reported to the health department read more

Walked in earlier today with my best friend to get small matching tattoos. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. The music was upbeat and the studio was very comfortable, which was so nice because it was my friend's first tattoo and the atmosphere helped keep the nerves at bay. Went yesterday when visiting Colorado , the atmosphere/aesthetic is amazing! The people were so nice and the energy was great. I saw dian and she came up with this beautiful masterpiece that I can't even express in words how happy I am that I get to look at this on my body for the rest of my life. She was super patient with me when doing my tattoo and super considerate of how I was feeling. I will be coming back every time I visit! read more

My boyfriend and I ended up making a same-day appointment with Kevin Seawell, and man, did he not disappoint. Not only is he welcoming and professional...but he is personable and an incredible artist. He tattooed our pup's paw print that we lost last year, and I could not be happier with how it turned out! I had the single most positive experience I've ever had at a tattoo parlor here. I'm from out of town and felt like getting a memorial tattoo while here. There was luckily an opening to fit me in on short notice. Everyone was kind, the shop is clean and I felt like having Bryce tattoo me was fate. I was looking at a few different places to get my septum pierced. I'm so glad I wound up here. Jasmine did my piercing, she was the first one I talked to coming in the door. Super sweet and personable. She got me someone to talk to about a tattoo while I waited for her to set up too. She talked to me through the whole process to let me know what she was doing. I got super overheated after the piercing was done and she was very nice about that too. Really a great experience, and everyone was very nice that I spoke to while I was there. Can't wait to come back for my tattoo in March and to get my future piercings done. read more

Clean, inviting, comfortable, bad ass artists, truly a chill relaxed fun vibe and it is a total tribe environment and the big chief of the tribe is an unbelievable artist. This isn't my first review and I'm sure it won't be my last. Everyone you see and deal with here are fun and friendly and not only do they love what they do but they make you feel totally relaxed and at home. I just had my second half sleeve completed by John Slaughter and I couldn't be happier there is no where enough good things I could say about John, Holly and everyone at Tribe Tattoo. I had a half sleeve done by John and less than a month after he finished that one I was back getting my other arm done which he had to cover up a tribal thing I had done many years ago. I put all my trust in John, we discussed a few things and I was so happy with my other piece I let him have artistic freedom and do what he thought would be bad ass and is it ever, from the time he lined it the old one disappeared and each time I went in it got crazier more vibrant and just absolutely insane. I said it before in a review but you have to trust the artist that's doing your work and I have total trust and faith in John and everyone that works there. If you have had a lot of work done or your getting your first tattoo done don't miss the opportunity to check out Tribe Tattoo and let them show you what they can do. I'm scheduled in 2 weeks for some more work and I can tell you now that I will never get work done anywhere else. So go check out the artists work and go by for a consultation I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I went in for a walk-in with my friend while on vacation in Denver. The place was clean, sanitary, and welcoming. Everyone I spoke to was nice. My artist, Graham, was excellent. We had a very short wait before we consulted him and he drew up our tattoos quickly and beautifully (we got mountain tattoos). I got mine on my foot. I had another tattoo on the same place on the other foot and when I got it done the lines were shaken, they bled after a few weeks, and the artist went so deep that my foot was twitching. My experience here was the opposite. Graham had a very gentle touch and his line work was perfect. He was very sweet and got the tattoo done super fast. I've never gotten a tattoo in CO, so I don't know the norm. But I'd venture to say the price was slightly on the pricier side. However, it was still very reasonable and well worth it for the quality work I got done. read more

Incredible experience at Tribe! After doing some Yelp research on tattoo artists in the area, my sister and I decided on Nicole, and couldn't be happier with our choice! The staff at Tribe was very welcoming and friendly, and members of the staff seemed genuinely interested in the work that Nicole was doing on us, it seemed like they loved to collaborate and work together. We gave her a concept to work off of and she produced a beautiful piece of art! The amount of detail and fine lines she created in our pieces was so impressive! Not the best for piercings. It looked like a very nice clean establishment, my helix piercing was done quickly with little pain till the piercer had to put the ball on and was struggling. She dropped the ball twice getting me a new one each time but for about 20 minutes was continually tugging on my new piercing trying to get the ball on. By time I was done my ear was throbbing and it was swollen around my piercing. My friends was done in less than three minutes. The piercers name was jasmine. read more

I don't even know where to start with this review. I worked exclusively with Violetta but sat with her almost 8 hours one day and interacted with a few of the artists then and I have to say-- this place is probably one of the best in Denver. The artists are so personable and amenable to working with you to come up with your perfect tattoo! The experience from the moment I walked in the first day, to the consult, to the sitting was always professional and comfortable. I haven't finished my tattoo with Violetta yet but I can't wait to sit back down with her and see the finished product! She's so incredibly talented and just so sweet. Unless you want crap on your body for the rest of your life, then sign up, if you dont, then avoid this place at ALL costs!!!!!!!! The owner John Slaughter, who did my tattoo, is the biggest prick you could ever meet. He is disrespectful, dishonest and worst of all, a horrible tattoo artist. He should never be aloud to put anything on anyone nor be called an "artist" I could rant for days, but i will spare you the extra reading and the horrible tattoo. Good luck to ya read more

Professional, creative, clean, no stencils allowed tattoo shop. The surrounding area might make you cringe as you walk away from your car, but step inside and you're in a whole different world. Red leather tattoo recliners and fire engine red stations are surrounded by tribal masks and other super swanky items. While getting inked anything from Bjork, Kansas, Tool, and the Little Mermaid was streamed through the air. The artist we worked with was Joe. Super cool, loves his work, and really tries to understand the client and what they want when he creates his designs. When we stopped by to look at the drawings, we were invited to a hog roast. Joe told us he would sketch until we found something we loved, and he got us on the first shot. Looks even better on. ;) We go here, and so do some of the best from DFD... you should too. read more

I am so thankful that my husband and I found this place. We were coming in from North Carolina for our wedding and really wanted to get tattoos as our souvenir. I was so confused and conflicted by the many reviews that I read for the top rated tattoo places in the Denver area, lots of people saying negative things, or glowing reviews... needless to say, I was torn. We took a shot in the dark and chose Tribe, and requested Connie, because she seemed to have the closest style to what we wanted. I am so thankful we chose them! Firstly, I often times get judged when I walk into tattoo shops, like I'm not being taken serious or I am just some dumb girl who wants a flower tattoo. When we walked in, the place was super clean and chic, but also, we were greeted with the utmost kindness and genuinely felt welcomed, and not at all judged. Also, we were offered candy and water like a million times during the appointments, which was a really nice touch, although, I did eat a lot of candy by the end. As far as our actual work went, I was floored with how well Connie worked with our requests. She just jumped right in with everything we asked, and just sketched it on us right then and there. The work she did was truly phenomenal. If you are looking for something very organic and fine, or a nature piece, this is your girl. She was so talkative, without being intrusive, and made us feel at home from the second we sat down. My husband wasn't even going to get a tattoo, but after he saw how kind, and talented she was, he caved and got a large piece. I really cannot say enough about this place. Also, if you're on the line, tattoos are what you make of them. Be specific and don't get butt hurt when you have to pay; don't forget that you are paying for someones art, not just their ability, and that is worth every damn penny. read more

I have many tattoos done by different artists . The most recent was done by Bryce at Tribe. I cannot fully express my disappointment in the way I was regarded by him ( and everyone else at the shop) and the product itself. I came 30 minutes early as requested by he owner's wife and apparent overlord of the artists. I was never able to communicate with Bryce directly as she screened all of my emails and texts. Bizarre. When I arrived Bryce had a sketch he'd done that looked like clip art and almost nothing like the photos I had sent. When I expressed concern he was annoyed and rude saying he had a "Big piece" to do in an hour and didn't have time to adjust his sketch. I insisted. He implied that my over priced design (200.00 for a 3 color , 2"x2" simple poppy) wasn't in any way important and that I was a nuisance. Believe me, he was an ass. My instinct was to tell him to suck it and walk out but my impatience to get the piece overrode my best interest. I could go on & on about this but suffice it to say i now have to get the whole thing covered by someone else who has actual skill and not just an over inflated ego. Just take a look at the monstrosity I ended up with. It looks like a child's crayon drawing AND to add insult to injury, it became infected. I know how to care for tattoos and have NEVER had this issue. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. read more

From the first communication I had with John and Holly at Tribe Tattoo, I have been impressed by their shop. As a newbie, I had no idea where to start. Holly was great in entertaining my ideas for a custom piece and arranged for a consultation with John, the shop owner. He listened to what I had to say and came up with a great design. I got to see the design a few weeks before my session and that was a great opportunity to give any input. Before my first session, I had a few questions - I e-mailed the shop and got a response the same day - with very detailed instructions for the day-of. I was pretty nervous when I arrived for my appointment, but everyone was so laid-back and yet professional, it really put me at ease. John was great - he talked me through everything and boy was he FAST! The piece was finished after about 2 hours - and I didn't really even notice the passage of time. It has been 5 days since I got the tattoo and it is healing perfectly. I think their aftercare instructions are great. I have gotten so many compliments on my new back piece - someone even said, "Wow, those lines are so perfect - is it real?" After extensive research and several reviews from friends, I chose Tribe & John for my first tattoo. In short, couldn't have had a better experience than the one I rec'd at Tribe...they have made a lifelong customer due to their professionalism, design, execution, and thoughtfulness. After spending over six hours in the shop getting my tattoo complete, I can easily and honestly say that other tattoo shops will be hard pressed to compete with Tribe in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and its welcoming and inclusive vibe. The entire staff was friendly and engaging and made a tattoo-newbie feel as comfortable as the seasoned veteran. The shop was always in perfect order, roomie, and had they served food, I would have had no qualms eating there...it was that clean! At its core, Tribe is a tattoo shop focused on custom tattoos, and it crushed my expectations of what a tattoo can and should be. I gave John some loose guidelines, but the bulk of the design was in his hands and he took the vision I had in my mind and brought it to life! Tribe Tattoo is amazing. Bottom line. Period. End of story. Don't even consider going anywhere else. Spent two days getting a half-sleeve done by Kristie. She is an amazing artist and I had to tap out before she ran out of ideas and the willingness to stick me. If you are looking for a top-notch experience with unsurpassed professionalism, this is where you need to go. The shop is immaculate, the staff if extremely friendly(no tattoo snobbery like many other shops you may visit), and their work surpassed all expectations I had envisioned for the tattoo. CROWDADDY HERE ..... I've known John for over 30 years. I can remember back to the time when he was a bartender at purple martini, showing me his sketches sharing his dreams and they all came true. He's truly one of a kind, and his artwork is not only original, ACROSS A MYRIAD OF SPECTRUMS but speaks volumes to how he puts his heart and soul into every piece. My artist is Ben Granillo. I gave him quite the project to take on. I went in with an unfinished Polynesian half sleeve/chest piece that was very messy and unorganized. Most artists would have turned down such a project simply because there was a lot to fix and also add on. Right away, he showed me he had the confidence to recreate a masterpiece that I couldn't fathom. His attention to detail gives you the appreciation of his craft. He's always evolving as an artist too.. whether it's upgrading his tattoo machines or learning new principles of tattooing, there's nobody else I would rather want to work on this special project. I am going to continue my business with Ben because he exemplifies what a tattoo artist should be. If you care about high quality work at a fair price, then Ben is your guy! read more

I moved to Denver three years ago and searched high and low for a place with talented artists, friendly service, and a positive atmosphere. I stumbled upon Tribe and was BLOWN AWAY. Tribe is the BEST shop in greater Denver - trust me, don't waste your time looking. I had a significant amount of work done years before by four different artists at four different shops, so I know the game and have been around. The places I had prior work done include the other "best" shops in Denver, so I'm directly comparing them... I work with Levi and would HIGHLY recommend him for anything and everything you want. Tribe tattoo is amazing! They are very professional and the shop seems very sanitary which is clearly a plus. I went to Kenny K for a cover-up back in July, and he did an amazing job. My mom was out visiting in September and her and I both went back for more. Kenny drew my mom a custom cross which was exactly what she wanted. He was very willing to add/make changes as she desired until it was PERFECT. We did an add-on piece to my cover-up which turned out great. I have my next appt scheduled for tomorrow and I cant wait to go back! My mom is already talking about making a road trip with a friend from ND to come back so her friend can get one too. I am from out of town and decided that while traveling in Denver for 2 weeks I would get some work done on my down time. I did a bunch of research on the different places out here before deciding that Tribe is where I wanted to go. Long story short, John (owner) was able to see my vision for a family dedication piece that I wanted redone--but not only did he cover some old sh*tty work, he was able to take it to the next level. I spent a total of about 6 hours under his needle and I do not regret one bit of it. He is an amazing artist. Summary: If you want good work done, walk around Denver, there are a few spots that will take care of you. If you want amazing art that will last a lifetime, call John at Tribe! Thanks guys! What a great place to have a tattoo done!! From the minute I walked in, Holly was super friendly and made me feel instantly comfortable. Because of the fact I was having a lower stomach tattoo done, I though I would be super uncomfortable all day, but all of the staff was super professional. I came in with a specific design in mind and Connie nailed it!! Not only did she create a drawing from pictures that I put together she had to cover a large scar on my lower stomach. We spent 6 1/2 hours working straight through and it turned out beautifully. I highly recommend Tribe Tattoo, not only for the cleanliness & professionalism but for Connie and her amazing design skill and talent! read more

I Love this Place I have been going there for the past 2 years and John Slaughter is nothing less than the best tattoo artist in Denver hell maybe the country. He has made my dream tattoo become a reality his lines are the sickest in town if you want the best then you go see John and the crew at tribe tattoo.... And to talk about the shop it is one of the Cleanest, Sterile and well put together shops in the city the environment is always friendly and professional it is always a pleasure to see the whole crew down there. In reference to Brooke D: I have been going to John Slaughter for about five years. His shop is the best shop that you could ever get ink done at!!!! The whole staff from top to bottom is the best in the state. You could eat a steak off of the floor. Brooke..... John Slaughter has put ink on people way more important than you, and not one bad thing has ever been said. Funny thing is that they keep comming back!!! If I was had a business I would gladly fire you as a customer. You sound like a little child that ran out of money in the piggy bank, and are trying to get something for free. Words cannot do this place justice. Everything from the owner and staff, to the decor and overall setting. Upon entering the shop I was immediately greeted with a smile from Holly, the shop manager. After a quick chat about what I was looking for, she recommended me to her husband/owner John Slaughter. They were two of the friendliest and most professional people I have ever met. John's work is phenomenal and the way he and his wife run things couldn't be better. I left Tribe Tattoo with an amazing tattoo and two new friends. I came to Tribe after asking numerous people for recommendations and they kept coming up. I went in as a walk in early Friday afternoon and was helped right away. I (unknowingly) gave Teddy Nigels two of the hardest things to tattoo - a perfect circle and a star - he did them perfectly. Teddy was gentle and precise. Everyone I talked to was overall awesome and very helpful. I will be going back there to get all my old (not done there) tattoos touched up and will also return for any new ones as well. I cannot stress enough how impressed I am with John Slaughter and his tattooing abilities. He just finished a full sleeve for me, and now we're continuing the theme (koi in a river) down my back and side, to just above my knee. His work is amazing, and I've sent several friends to him. People seem to think that he's booked solid for months in advance, but that's not the case. Of course he's busy, but he's able to get new clients in quickly and I've never had an issue booking appointments. The entire shop does amazing work. You will not be sorry that you went to Tribe. read more

Let's put it this way, I created a Yelp account just to write this review. I drove all the way up to Denver from Colorado Springs in a snow storm to get my tat. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Tribe. Levi was super laid back and took my tattoo idea and made it better than I thought possible. His line work is phenomenal. He's the only artist I will be going to from now on. Tribe Tattoo is a great shop to go to for any of your tattoo or piercing needs. This is by far the best shop I've been to in Denver!!! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly, professional staff who did not hesitate to answer any of my questions. The shop is very clean and sterile along with a welcoming environment. I felt totally at ease and confident knowing that I was going to leave there with a unique and beautiful tattoo. John rocks and his work is absolutely amazing! The whole experience (from start to finish) was impressive. Everyone who works at Tribe is very professional and accommodating. From the bottled water to the lollipops, I was impressed. Now, on to the tattoo... I got a panda (because I'm obsessed) and Jorge did an amazing job. He made sure I knew what to expect with the different needles (level of pain, etc...) and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I'm not in Denver often, but I will definitely return to Tribe the next time I'm in town! read more
