Just went in for help with a ball piercing on my ear that I couldn't get off and the guy there got it off, was super friendly and explained why I couldn't get it out. I was trying to unscrew it lol. I read online that some would charge for that, he didn't. read more

My husband and I arrived in Denver late last night. We knew that there was a tattoo place a quick walk from our hotel. We arrived at 12pm & John was able to take us both as walk ins. We were both out at 12:55 & we were both so happy with our tattoos and the price was perfect!! We were quoted double in Vegas 1.5 years ago. We are ecstatic with our souvenirs from Denver just in time for our 18th anniversary!! Thanks again John!! read more

Funky little shop with lots of talent. Felix got me on his schedule from one day to the next. Wanted an old school Sailor Jerry anchor with a minor custom modification. Quick chat and he had it drawn up. Once under the needle Felix made quick work and created a master piece after a minor adjustment of its placement and angle. He was attentive and professional. Great experience overall and very happy with my new tattoo! Will post a pic once it is healed up. read more

We ended up not being able to get a tattoo while we were in Denver but not because of lack of effort from John. He tried so hard to make it work for us. If ever in Denver again and tattoo is on our agenda I would totally go to John. Thank you for the effort. read more

My friend and I came in as walk-ins and we were immediately greeted by Aubree, who was super kind and helpful. They gave us the information we wanted upfront (price, pain, etc.). My friend got her second lobe piercings; I got my helix pierced and my rook changed from a curved barbell to a hoop. The two lobe piercings were $80 and the helix was $50 (before tip); jewelry change was free of charge! I couldn't be happier about that, especially when some places charge jewelry changes by the piercing. Titanium grade jewelry was included in the cost of the piercings. They were so sweet when my friend was nervous about the pain and very flexible when we changed the placement on the lobes a couple times. My rook change was super quick and barely uncomfortable, which I was super impressed by as the rook is a fairly tricky location. Aubree also made the helix piercing nearly painless-- they're very skilled at what they do and I cannot say enough good things. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my experience here. The pricing is fair, the piercing jewelry is adorable, and Aubree is just awesome! I would definitely recommend getting pierced here if you're in Denver. read more

We came to Fortune Cookie Tattoo as walk-ins and were immediately greeted by Aubree, who was very kind and funny. They made sure my friend and I were comfortable throughout our stay. I was getting my 2nd pair of earlobe piercings and my friend was getting her helix piercing. We are very happy with our piercings! :) I will definitely be coming back for future piercings! read more

This is by far the worst tattoo I have Ever received. I had a small black heart the size of a quarter and A to Phoenix to cover it up. Brought in a picture of and it looks nothing like a Phoenix much less like the picture. I went back a second time to have them redo it and he left half of the tot to Uncolored. If I had my way they would do a total redo for free considering how bad it is. I'm currently considering having my back touched up and am terrified of what I would wind up with. Even the tattoo artists back home in North Dakota are a 1000 times better than this. I do not recommend this place. And if I were them I would do a free tattoo to fix their mistake. I stuck with this the rest of my life. I got was supposed to be a symbol of rebirth from a horrible past. read more

Really great service! I called ahead as I need 3 piercings repierced. Aubree took her time and checked all my piercings and to my surprise 2/3 were still there. She put in some jewelry for those two and pieced the last one! It was $50 for each "poke" (actual piercing), $10 for the jewelry replacement and $15 for saline solution. Not bad at all! She even gave me care instructions for the weeks to come since I'm from out of town. Go see Aubree! read more

Had gone a while back while visiting and had decided to get a tattoo before heading out, so i got it, loved it. But as I land back in Austin, im looking at it closely and he wrote "fu-----" , "fncking" w/an N as you can see in the picture, like how do you manage to mess that up. read more

My friend (who got a tattoo with me) had called and told Jon what I was looking for and he researched my design ahead of time. He came up with a great treatment of the idea, with a level of detail I didn't think was possible. He really made a first-timer feel comfortable and welcome. The art turned out great and I have gotten a lot of compliments on it already. If I'm in Denver again I'll definitely stop in! read more

Piercer review only... My wife and I went there to get 1 piercing each... And I wish I never had. My lip swelled (like she knew it would and told me so) and come to find out she gave me the wrong sized labret jewelery to provide enough space for the swelling... It was way too small. Then my wife called the next day to tell her not only was the jewelery so tight on my lip and it then went into my pierced hole, but it started getting infected. That I had to keep pushing it through all day while I was at work to make sure it didnt close on me. My wife also told her that I didnt get off from work until 5, so we would be there before 6. She said that was fine and that she'll be there to switch my jewelery. She never apologized at all. Then we showed up before 6 pm and the shop was closed. So I had to go around searching for a proper sized jewelery piece to have my wife put it in for me. If I could rate them a negative 5 stars, I so would. I have gotten plenty of piercings and I have never dealt with someone who is so incompetent at doing their job. Then doesn't provide an apology nor was there to fix the problem that she caused. I will NEVER go there again and I will make sure that I will tell everyone I know NOT to go there!!! It was just so wrong all the way around. I paid my hard earned money and gave her such a great tip on top of it... only to be so extremely upset that she was so unprofessional and I was very unsatisfied. You go in to get a piercing... you're supposed to be happy that you got it. Not having to deal with the jewelery going into your lip and falling out because the Piercer doesn't know how to do her job. read more

I got a tattoo from Kate Matthews here last October and I continue to get so many compliments on it! The design and execution were both amazing and I can already tell it will age very well. She was accommodating, not too heavy handed (but heavy handed enough to ensure longevity), very professional and easy to talk to. Not to mention she is a badass lady and I love supporting boss babes like her. Check out her instagram @hairofthehound to see her style and I promise you will fall in love (but not in a creepy way, come on guys). 10/10 would come again. read more

This shop is owned by, Jon, of the nicest guys I know. They're so accommodating and Felix did a ridiculously good job on my Friday the 13th tattoo.... I was Also his last client. Still amazingly sweet and kind. Kate was there as well and killed it on a Rick and Morty tattoo. I will come back here for any tattoo I need. Bonnie is also the sweetest human to talk to. Go here if you need anything! They have ridiculous talent and care for your needs... plus produce incredible pieces of art. read more

My sister was in town, all the way from Alabama and while showing her downtown Denver we walked by Fortune Cookie Tattoo and figured it would rock to get a tattoo in order to remember her visit. As soon as we walked it, the artist said hello and asked if she could help us. After she explained where the portfolios of all the artist in the shop were, we began searching through a ton of tattoo magazines and books around the shop but failing to find a design we could agree on,we noticed the time we almost decided it was too late to ask..... The artist (Amanda Gold) was completely awesome and and said it was not a problem and sat down and sketched out exactly what we each wanted. An hour and a half later the both of us had our first tattoo we ever have gotten together! Thanks for being so cool and patient not to mention friendly. read more

Holy moly, this review is so long overdue, but better late than never! I came here in April of this year to get a very inappropriate and vulgar word that I had tattooed on my upper back covered up before moving to LA. I had this tattoo done a few years ago with a friend as a drunken dare and, though it got me a lot of high fives, I realized that I was moving to a city/state where I would be wearing a lot of tank tops and also that my mother lived in this same city and had not yet seen this "statement" I had permanently stamped on my back (Hint: it puts the "female dog" word to shame and rhymes with "punt"). ANYWAYS I came to this realization that I should have it covered up a mere 48 hours before departing on my move and remembered I had bought a Groupon for this place and failed to use it in time. So I desperately walked into Lucky Fortune around 3 PM to see if they would at least honor what the Groupon was worth and hopefully try and fit me in on such short notice. I was greeted by Dan, and sensing my desperation (I assume) he took pity on me and took my phone number saying he would see what he could do and let me know. 2 hours later I received a text from him saying he would do the cover-up for me if I could make it in by 8 that night. After a very late night tattoo sesh and a ton of helpful input from him (I had put virtually NO thought into what I wanted done) Dan transformed my shameful, vulgar tattoo into a beautiful, vibrant lotus flower that I am now proud to show off. I later realized how symbolic this was when I did some research into my new tattoo (which is completely ass-backwards from how you're supposed to do it, I know) and read that this lovely flower--like my tattoo--blossoms from the ickiest darkest muck in the bottom of slimy ponds into this gorgeous, stunning creation. It also represents rebirth and growth in Buddhism, which is why I chose it in the first place, and in that sense, could not have been a better choice to precede my move and the beginning of the next chapter of my life...dare I say, fate? I was kind of out of it after we finished that night and am not sure if I fully expressed my gratitude to Dan for all of his help, but I hope this review does that. It was a wonderful and comfortable experience/environment, the music was great, the artwork in there is amazing and I will definitely be back for more work whenever I'm out that way...maybe this time with a little more thought put in, but with my last experience turning out so well, who knows ;) Thank you, thank you, thank you. read more

I got a vertical labret here, which was my first peircing. It looked great the first few days and all but I noticed how close to my lip skin she had pierced, I went to a different tattoo shop to get smaller jewelry and the lady there told me she periced it wrong and that she basically peirced my lip skin. I took out the peircing going to get it re peirced somewhere different. The lady had green hair, only giving two stars bc there was kpop pc hung up read more

I would give this place more then 5 stars if it were a option. I flew from Atlanta to get a Tattoo from Sherly. I had been checking out her amazing artwork and tattoos online for a couple months. One of my friends has her tattoos all over him when I had asked who did them he said Sherly. She has a amazing energy very warm and kind of hard to describe but makes you feel like you have known her for many years. She listens very closely and can it seems like almost pluck the images straight from your head even when you can not articulate them. I came in with a idea and left with a work of art. I was almost giddy when I saw my finished tat. She is not the first person I've had tattoo me but from here on out she will be the only one. I just got mine on Thursday last week and I'm already planning out my next one. read more

I just got my first tattoo here at Fortune Cookie with Sherley. I did a medium size piece on my right forearm that came out incredible. Sherley's experience really shows and the design I brought to her is identical to what is now on my forearm. The atmosphere here is trendy and relaxing. Good music was playing throughout the session and I was able to chat with her and other artists. All-around a nice group. The price was good for the time of the session and quality of work. I feel confident that the other artists are as good as Sherley and would recommend this shop to anyone who's interested. read more

Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon, design in hand, and Kate stepped up to do it. The work is excellent on a fairly detailed and intricate design. I've been looking for a local tattoo shop and these guys have me sold. I just got my third tattoo from Jon this past weekend and it was amazing, and he did an incredible job with his interpretation of what I wanted. All the guys in the shop are awesome to chat with and will be honest about what design you're looking at getting. Cannot recommend highly enough, and I won't go anywhere else. read more

My friend and I were in town to see our sister's graduation this past weekend and decided last-minute we wanted to get tattoos together to commemorate the weekend. We called a few hours before making sure they had time and the entire team was accommodating and easy to work with. Daniel was professional and did very clean and bold work. When I suggested to do blue and gray on my umbrella instead of use the red like the other two girls did, he pointed out it wouldn't pop as well. It always is nice for artists to let you have your own opinion but also give you a professional opinion of what will look good. We are all overjoyed and happy with our tattoos, and if we are ever in Denver again- we will be back. read more

These guys are awesome! I got a special deal through Groupon, but was a little worried that I might be treated differently with a coupon in hand. I did my research and had a lot of confidence in this shop based on user reviews. I called and spoke with Jon Lew, who scheduled a consolation for me that day. I asked for a cool looking traditional tattoo that would also incorporate an older "sun" tattoo that I got many years ago. Jon took my input, did a bunch of research and then came up with and awesome sketch. We reviewed it together before my appointment...he made a couple of minor changes based on my suggestions, then we got to work (on a snowy day after Xmas!). A few hours later he finished the piece, and it looked better that I could have imagined. Jon was first class all the way, even though I came in with a 2nd class coupon in my hand :) Thank you!!! read more

I went in randomly one day with a few very different ideas and Dan Archer helped me narrow it down until we had decided on something awesome. We made an appointment for a week later so he could draw it up and such. When I came back to get it done I was very happy with what was designed and he did an excellent job on the tattoo. Super happy with the finished product. I'd go back to him to get another one. I looked in the books of the other tattooists and their work looked really well done. Clean shop & nice, cordial owner (Jon) but my daughter's tiny 1/2 inch tattoo that took less than 3 minutes & zero artistic effort/ ability was entirely overpriced at $80. 5 stars! I was visiting relatives in FoCo and decided to come down to Denver for a day. I randomly decided it was time to get a tattoo, so I looked up these guys and found that they accepted walk ins. I wanted to get some song lyrics on my back. Pretty boring for him I'm sure, and when I showed him what I wanted he completely changed it and IT WAS WAY BETTER. I think people fail to realize that these guys are artists, not copy machines.
