I came here post surgery because my belly button piercing closed up. I called ahead to ask if someone could help with getting the ring back in. When coming in the store, I immediately felt that the place is clean and was only further impressed with cleanliness later in my experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The gal who was trying to help me really did all she could to get my ring back in. However, my scar tissue was too thick and there was no way to get anything through. She said that I will have to come back with an appoinment to get it RE-pierced. I was annoyed at first because I didn't want to have to book an appointment, wait till that time, and come back. Luckily, there was an opening in 20 minutes from the time I was there. I waited those 20 minutes. I had to purchase new jewelry for the RE-piercing. They do not allow the use my jewelry because they cannot guarantee it is clean. I understand - makes sense - is best for safe practice and cleanliness. However, the cost of new jewelry was not what I was planning for. During my actually piecing, my gal was super informative about making sure I see her open and use a new needle. I appreciate that! I came in to Iris Piercing Studios at the recommendation of a friend. I recently had my nose pierced out of state, but the piercer used a bad piece of jewelry in the nostril, making it impossible for my piercing to heal. Aaron examined my nose and decided it would be best to replace the jewelry with a 14k white gold labret stud. Thank god he did, as my nose already feels and looks better. I just had the best experience getting my second piercing in my earlobes! My first piercing experience was when I was a child so I don't recall it. Aaron was my piercer and he made it such a comfortable and easy going appointment. Am 45 years old and have I dunno - 60 tattoos so thought randomly getting my nose pierced 6-weeks before a Hawaiian Christmas vacation would be a walk in the park. NOPE. And of course i picked the $600 Diamond stud. It ended up getting imbedded. Called to see about getting it checked on and one of the ~17 year olds they have working there was like "whatever we take walk ins until our lunch break". Sweet thanks Karen. Get there and the little midget Aryian Brotherhood MEGA ARROGANT champion that comes out was probably the rudest most disrespectful human i've ever encountered in a customer service setting. Basically told me I was an idiot for swimming at 6 instead of 8 weeks even though the cat that actually pieced me insinuated that I could do a lot more than swim with my nose a lot sooner than 6 weeks (and will just leave it at that) and they just gave me a small black leaflet and a bottle of saline since "I spent so much money" - legit that was while I got the free saline LOL. Best way to sum it up is i'd rather go to the ER to get this fixed at pay ~15k than to go back to that place if I have any further issues - and I do fine, but $600 is a nice chunk of money. Staff is AWFUL. And i've been around the tattoo / piecing world for decades. Know it's a bit prickly at times - but this was a next level atrocious level of professionalism and customer service. I've been to Iris several times over the last ten years for piercings (nose (two different times), conch piercings in both ears, and most recently a rook ear piercing) they always do a wonderful job! The studio is very clean, sterilization is taken seriously, and their piercers have always been highly knowledgeable and skilled (I have never had a negative reaction to a piercing here--no infections, bumps, etc). Today Jake did my rook piercing and it took maybe 5-minutes. He made me feel very comfortable, walked me through the process, told me what I would feel before each step, and it was extremely smooth sailing. The front gallery is pretty small and gets cramped quickly, but the staff members expertly ensure everyone is greeted and assisted as soon as possible. I can't remember the name of my piercer, but he was wonderful in making me feel comfortable (not overly coddled) throughout the nerve-wracking experience. It was a fast piercing and checkout process. The quality of jewelry here is also insanely high. It's comforting to know their transparent policies during COVID, and I appreciate how responsive Iris is over text. I like this place a lot. I have gone twice now -- YES the jewelry is expensive, but there is a reason! I have only gone for jewelry changes & have bought their jewelry as well. The first time, I almost fainted which is super uncommon for me. I have never experienced that before & they were so patient, helpful and kind. My piercing was pierced crooked at a previous studio in MN & it has given me a lot of grief, so it was always a painful jewelry change for me and especially switching from a hoop to a stud. I have seen 2 piercers to change mine here and I really liked them both. The jewelry is internally threaded which is great for piercings and I really do recommend them. My nostril piercings have flat back studs now instead of L shaped pieces and it has made a world of difference! read more

I have visited Iris Piercing Studio several times over the past few years and have been very pleased with the front gallery staff and piercers every time. Things are now a bit more restrictive with Covid procedures in place. The Covid protocols (available on the Iris website) in place ensure that your piercing will be absolutely safe. Iris is not taking any chances with their clients. Appointments are required. Iris makes this obvious on their website and it is easy to make an appointment. Iris recently reinserted two piercings that I had to remove for surgery. I wasn't sure how to select the appointment category and they were able to help me figure it out on the phone. In my visits to Iris I have gotten an orbital piercing in my upper ear cartilage (a tricky piercing--in the photo) done by piercer Luke Horton and a nostril ring reinstalled. After surgery, I had new jewelry inserted into the orbit piercing and into a 25-year-old tragus piercing. When the ring in the tragus piercing came loose after a couple of weeks, I made a followup appointment the piercer John reinstalled it for free. Iris has absolutely exquisite pieces by wonderful designers for piercings. Look them up on the website to see what your investment will be. My most recent visit was more expensive than I had anticipated because I hadn't counted on falling in love with a gold tragus ring by Pupil Hall that has tiny diamonds inserted. But that's on me, not Iris! By the way, I am a senior gal--as in over 65--and had great experiences every single time. No eye-rolling whatsoever about my removing my hearing aids before piercing! read more

Ben saw outside the box, and pierced all the way through the detached ear lobe, and allowed space for a free standing chain in the interim. WTF? who does this? In April of 2023 I came to Iris to get three piercings on my ears. I got two on my upper cartilage in one ear and another loab piercing on the other ear. My piercer was Aaron. He was friendly enough during the piercing process. But the second I left and walked out of Iris is was incredibly painful to walk, which continued on for the rest of the day. I didn't think that was normal as I have 10 ear piercings already and that has never happened before. About 5 days after the piercing I developed a staph infection on the two upper cartridge piercings. I can not 100% contribute that to Iris but it is worth mentioning. Over the next year my piercings would just not heal at all. I did all the right things, cleaned them with saline 2 times daily, didn't touch them, was very cautious with anything around my ear, slept on a travel pillow..but to no avail. All three piercings hurt 99% of the time, scabbing over, bleeding, crusting. I finally went to another highly respected piercer and asked them if something was wrong with them and it took her one second to tell that the piercings were done at an improper angle. She could easily see this was done on purpose and not just a mistake as all three were incorrectly pierced. She said if they were not healed by now, a year later they never would and the only option was to take them out. Which of course I knew, since again I have multiple piercings already and understand the correct healing process/time. And a year is most definitely not that, especially for a loab piercing. I had to remove all three, almost 800$ spent at Iris down the drain, all that time I put in to trying to heal them. I called Iris to let them know my concerns and what had happened. I believe I spoke with Laurel (possibly Arhi?) and she really could not have cared less. Because of course they got their money, not their issue now (this is not what she said but it was abundantly clear). She tried to assure me that Aaron would not have let anyone leave if the piercing was not 100% perfect (that made me Lol...cause ya ok...) and this had to have been my doing, maybe I touched it one time (yes one time would have caused this according to her ) . Which is 100% false as again I have had multiple piercings in the past with no issue. Another piercer took one look at them and cringed (when I went in to get 3 new earrings from her, so she lost money telling me to take those out! No reason for her to lie, quite the opposite). I did ask to be compensated for some of the money I had spent at Iris, but no the only thing they would offer me is to be re pierced for free (ya freaking right, that's laughable). Compensate me free piercings, how much is that $90, no thank you. I wouldn't trust that shop with any ounce I have. read more

He told them what he was going to do, showed them what he was going to do, and then did it very well. My girls were very scared and his demeanor put them at ease. I can't imagine a better experience. I have been a loyal shopper for over 5 years and the way this company nickels and dimes its customers is unethical and fucking disgusting. The lack of standardization with different employees telling me different things every other week is not only a sign of inconsistency but a sign that this business does not care about its customers, they only care about turning a profit. You can tell the profit margins are exponentially high with how cheap the products are and how expensive everything else is. You should really pay your employees better so that they aren't trying to rip off everyone that walks in the door. Took my very excited 5 yo daughter in to get her ears pierced. Expected an "experience" to match her excitement and get a "meh" in/out, biz as usual. Made a 5pm appt and they called to see if I could make it 4:30pm instead since Kenny was trying to "get out out of there". It was a rush, but we arrived right at 4:30pm...only to be told we needed to wait by the door, which we did for about 15-20 minutes (?!). Lots of paperwork later and we got to the piercing. Kenny was all business. Never introduced himself, or asked any rapport building questions of my daughter, or really even smiled. Surprising, since I asked when booking the appt if they had any female piercers for my daughter (she prefers women in general) and they said "no", Kenny was the only one who did kids. When he put the marker dots on her ears I commented that the left one looked closer to her cheek/face than the other. "Well if that's what you think...", he went on to tell me he measured to that spot based on her ear anatomy and when she grows it will move out so guess we'll wait and see on that one. 2 months later and everytime I look at her it looks too close to me. She's the type that doesn't make a peep or move an inch for something like this, so wasn't any work for him. She's never had so much as an itch of either ear, so the lack of any discomfort or issues with the sites whatsoever was our positive. I emailed the website later that night to share our experience, and got a very nice "wish I had been there to make it the experience it should have been" from the owner Jesse. Nice reply, but I will certainly not be back to get her posts changed out. I live down by DU, but since she's only 5, and a few closer piercing places won't do kids until they're 6, we drove up to the high priced hipster joint in Cap Hill to get the "best". Yuh. If you have a kiddo who is (at least) 6 yo looking to get their ears pierced by a professional, our good friends would highly recommend Sage in Littleton where they got the experience we were hoping for. read more

Made a last minute appointment and was immediately greeted by Jenny upon arrival. The spot is gorgeous with high end jewelry to choose from. JENNY IS AMAZING. I have anemia and am prone to fainting. Jenny was waiting for me with glucose tablets and water. I was very excited for my septum piercing and did not anticipate passing out after. Maybe 45 seconds after the piercing I was out for maybe 30 seconds. Jenny was waiting patiently for me to wake up - she did not make me feel bad about it and really took care of me. She was so sweet and we made jokes about the whole thing. One of the most personable people I've met lately!! I would go back just to get pierced by her. My friend was with me and she made an appointment with Jenny before we left. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SWEET ANGEL, as well as Iris for any piercings or jewelry. Super easy online self-scheduling. I went in with a friend for some pretty simple piercings over the weekend and had a good experience aside from how pricey it ended up being. They have lots of jewelry options at various price points. I went with a mid-range option ($65/ea) while my friend chose the cheapest option (~$30/ea) We ended up spending over $400 (with tip) combined which I was shocked about. I wish I had asked for a receipt because the math just didn't seem to add up. My friend was pretty disappointed in her experience. She went in asking for a specific ear piercing but they claimed they couldn't do piercings in that location. Weirdly, they had posted a picture of the exact style she wanted on their Instagram but I didn't discover this until after we'd left. She ended up going with something different and it turned out just fine, but it wasn't exactly what she wanted and overall she was disappointed in the hefty price she paid for something she doesn't love. Overall, it was a very clean environment and you can tell they're taking COVID precautions very seriously. I would recommend them, just know you'll probably be spending quite a bit of money if you do get a piercing through them. read more
