My daughter recently went there to get her septum pierced and it was botched horribly. It was crooked and the jewelry was destroyed. They told my daughter they were trying a new technique and that it was crooked because her septum was deviated( it's not). We immediately went to a new piercer that same day and they said they pierced her cartilage not her "sweet spot" and that they literally could have deviated her septum they way they did it. They removed it and told her to come back in a few weeks to do it the right way and told her she's lucky she came when she did because the risk of infection was insanely high due to the poor job that was done read more

I spent a lot of money here. I've had 4 piercings, 2 nasal and 2 earlobe, plus I bought some nice earrings and nose jewelry pieces, (jewelry alone $400+). The last time I was there they kept all my old backs which sux because now I need one of them, I had been given back my own Amazon bought earrings so I didn't notice my backs were missing. She also kept my glass nose ring. Now whenever I have another mri I have to buy more glass nose rings. I came in for a tattoo consult and ended up getting my helix pierced while I was there. Jasmine at the front desk and Jane, who did the piercing, were so friendly and informative. Jane alleviated my fears and explained the process and what to expect. My piercing came out great! No issues at all. My tattoo consult with Kat went very well. She listened to what I wanted and gave me suggestions to ensure I received a quality tattoo. When I returned on Saturday for my tattoo appointment, I was greeted promptly at the front desk and assisted with the sign in and waiver process. He took his time to make sure it was what I wanted, placed where I wanted, and he even told me that if it didn't heal how I liked, I could come back and he would fix it as best as he could (for free). He was also very light handed, making the tattoo process so much more comfortable. Especially for the placement of the tattoo. The overall vibe of the shop was great, I was there late so it wasn't busy at all. It was just my artist, one of their body piercers, and the desk attendant. I walked into Tribal Rites and was honestly a little nervous. No idea sunk was nervous but I was. The three women that greeted me at the door when I walked in were honestly a little intimidating because they're so confident in themselves and owning their shit and I was like oh my God I've made a horrible mistake I am an imposter what am I doing here. But the second they actually spoke to me they were so welcoming and helpful and I didn't feel out of place. The appointment booking system was super easy and convenient. They were even helpful when I called the day before and asked a bunch of questions. And when I got there and MØ took me into the room she explained everything very quickly I might add I think she just speaks very fast but because I was nervous and I asked her to repeat things a couple times and she did very kindly. 9/6 Considering there was only like 5 pairs to choose from, I had no choice as I didn't have many options but to pick the most expensive as I would be stuck with it for a few months. For a shop that does piercings, selection was limited. I regret even proceeding with my purchase and needing to deal with all this arguing with my honest review. For a first timer going into a tattoo shop for piercing after 30 years, this was such a bad experience dealing with all this back and forth. Ridiculous. Just want to update my review. The owner reached out via public response to my post. I emailed the email listed the let him know the details and it's been 6 days and no response. I'm a bit annoyed that there was a public response to show that they care about their customers but privately they don't care. For someone who responded within 24 hours from my post to 1 week for email and still no response, I can only assume this is a fake public response to show that they actually care when they really don't. I've attached a copy of my receipt. This is what I paid for two piercings with two very small earrings to include the cleaning solution. Came in today to get a new ring for my septum, was getting tired of the horseshoe and just wanted one continuous ring. Girl behind the counter was super helpful and friendly (loved her Resident Evil shirt!). She pulled out two trays of different sized/gauged rings. I told her I didn't want a captive bead, and I'm super glad she didn't try to sell me on one! She held up one of the rings and offered it to me for me to look at, I double checked with her about holding it considering they have a sign right on the counter that says for your safety do not touch piercings or jewelry. I was given the okay so I picked it up and decided it was happy with that kind. My husband had gotten his brow done at the same time I'd done my septum (10-10-18), and he was getting infected. The girl behind the counter told us we could take a seat and the piercer would be right with us to swap out my ring and check out my husbands eyebrow. Lucky for us, it was Jake who was working this afternoon (same guy who pierced us in October 2018, was also super shocked he recognized us!) He was able to swap my rings out no problem- he is literally the only piercer I've ever interacted with at Tribal Rites that has swapped jewelry out for me the same day I purchase the jewelry. Every other time, i come in to buy jewelry, and then I'm told "have a nice day" and that's that. Jake advised my husband to remove his piercing because it looked like the beginning of a rejection and he could either pierce the other side whenever he wanted or he could wait a month or two and come back to have the same side re-pierced. Years ago, I would have told anyone and everyone to steer clear of Tribal Rites for piercings, but over the last year, I've been pleasantly surprised by the improvements they've made. Having Jake Collins work 5 days a week at the Westminster location is a great bonus for us, at least we always know we'll have an awesome, experienced and professional piercer to consult with and come to in the future! Seriously y'all, if you're looking to get a piercing (any kind), Jake is the guy to see! He knows what he's doing, what he's talking about, been there done that probably has the t-shirt. This wasn't an issue as I made a new appointment over the phone for a later time. On the day of the appointment I travelled over 40 minutes with my three month old to their location in Westminster. Still never received any help on getting my refund for my crooked ass nose piercing. Don't go here Jay is garbage and will fuck up your shit. My favorite part was the when he complained my first piercing was done wrong and he was the one who did it. It was really funny when I said that cause he tried to deny it, it was hilarious he's just an ass hole. Zuni works at artifex if you want a good piercer who actually cares. When Jay hurts you he gets mad and tells you to clean it your fucking self so don't go to Jay unless you have a fetish for being belittled and talked down to he's mentally abusive, and he will refuse to re write his wrongs. He told me himself I would have to drive to a location that didn't even do it to get help cause he refuses to give me my refund. So if you value your body and wallet do not let Jay work on you. The tribal rites in Fort Collins is also amazing and they are not apart of the other tribal rites they aren't affiliated at all with these other garbage shops. They're a wonderful group of understanding women who are there to make sure you're happy with your piercing, and are so sweet and gentle. They are amazing too. read more

My friends nose came out crooked in all the ways possible. My conch has take WAY too long to heal and is not in the proper spot. Jay is a terrible piercer with even worse customer service. Found Zuni, whom used to pierce us at tribal rights and we will continue to go to him now that I know his new location. I used to highly recommend Tribal rights, never really did us wrong, until now... I highly do not recommend. No other place! I've gotten several piercings done here (second cartilage, conch, and nostril) along with more recently a tattoo. The piercers here are excellent and you can tell that they definitely take your safety, sanitation, and best interests to mind. When I originally went in to get an industrial piercing, Rachel took a look at my ear and informed me that the fold of my ear was not strong enough to hold the barbell and that my ear would eventually reject the piercing. I really appreciated this, considering she could have easily taken my money, done the piercing, and I would have to find that out later down the line. Instead, she helped my decide on the conch piecing and handled it very quick and easily. A few days later, I got the jewelry stuck on a hat and accidentally yanked it out and was having problems putting back in. I went back in the next day and she happened to be there and she helped me re-sterilize it and put it back in with no extra charge. When I got my tattoo done here, Nate was both professional and easy enough to talk to. I went in to express my ideas to him about what I wanted and he told me to come in the next day to get it done (which was not what I was expecting, considering other tattoo places have had me wait several weeks or months for custom tattoos). He completely blew me away with his design and was totally cool with making the process as fast, yet precisely, as he could. He helped me a bit with aftercare and I came in a few days later for some more Saniderm and to check on healing. It's healed very well and I've gotten multiple compliments on it. For piercings, this is the place to be! I don't have as much experience with tattoos, but I would highly recommend everyone here! read more

When getting a tattoo you should be able to get what you want... Not here. We have been in to the shop for Tattoos and piercings and thought we found our spot. That is until you set up an appointment, pay a deposit, and send in an idea of what you are looking to get done only to be told by the artist "it's not really his thing". It's not going on your body, it's going on mine. The art I was looking to get was a reflection of my pride in my country and service to it. It was tasteful, meant for me not others, and 80% of the time covered up. I guess they are doing well if they can turn away business base on their views or feelings, which is good as they will not be getting my money. If you are looking to get anything Military, Veteran, or patriotic you may want to keep looking rather than waste your time. read more

I went into this shop today to have my ears stretched. Kevin (my piercer) was so knowledgable and kind. I also had him put an anchor next to my ear. He did an incredible job!!! I had a really chill experience, he informed me the entire time of what to expect and he kept me entertained with good conversation. I stretched my ears from a 14 to a 10 and they feel fine. Found out he has 17 years of experience. These guys know what they're doing!! I can't believe all the gorgeous jewelry this shop has!!! It was too hard to chose which jewelry I wanted this time. I took my daughter and her best friend to get navel piercings a few weeks back. Had appointments, no big deal , totally understand the COVID-19 protocol . I've actually had my piercing done there as well ( different person). All of my tattoos have been done here. The lady that ran the reception was awesome, super friendly and helpful. Mind you I had two teenagers ( other kids mom was with me) making a big decision . They were nervous but were doing this together. The artist that was there to pierce them was the person that you do NOT want if you want warm and fuzzy . His name was Zuni or similar . We were not breaking any Covid rules other than I was reminded that I couldn't hold my daughters hand during the piercing . He basically reprimanded my daughter for not breathing correctly and said " when you are ready to breathe right I'll do the piercing ". Really ? Zero compassion over his medical mask . She was nervous. During these trying times you need to work with your clients and not be an ass . Period . Ruined her experience. If he ever reads this he needs to learn that his art is someone else's experience and he needs to ROCK it or get out of the industry. The piercing is beautiful but his bedside manner was less than desirable. read more
