This is probably the worst tattoo shop in town - and I have lived here all my 50+ years. Cancelled tattoo appointments, bbo show artists at the last minute and sketchy artist's are the norm here. There are so, so many amazing tattoo shops in Denver. I would highly suggest another shop other than this fat foo tattoo service. read more

This was the second tattoo shop I attended today. In the first one, I felt super uncomfortable about the idea of someone putting something permanent on me. The place felt dark and dingy, and the man who was supposed to tattoo me was completely dismissive of what I wanted and the questions I had. My friend and I decided to go down the street to Low Creek, and thank goodness we did! Tanner was the first to help us, and he was fantastic from the start. He listened to what I wanted, made suggestions that made sense and didn't make me feel dumb, and took my super basic drawing and made it infinitely more professional. I felt at ease right away with him. The whole process was quick, clean, and professional, and Tanner was friendly and an artist from start to finish (and I know I got a simple drawing tattooed, but thin lines are not easy to do well!). My friend liked mine so much that she decided to get a tattoo done with Tanner today as well. This was my first tattoo, and since it was such a good experience I am already planning my next one! And I will absolutely be back here when I get my second one done. read more

Matt was AMAZING! I had my cover-up done yesterday and could not be happier with the results. From the minute I walked in everyone in shop was kind and respectful and the place is super clean which is so crucial when considering where to get work done. I love Matt's style and the piece he created for me is stunning and fits my personality beautifully. He has incredible attention to detail and was super fun to hang out with for the 9 hours that he worked on my piece. I can't take any credit for it other than the direction I gave as far as what I liked and that is the way it should be. A tattoo like this is an investment in a unique piece of art and I, again, could not be happier. I would highly recommend the shop in general to anyone and even more highly recommend Matt. Tanner is a rockstar. He tattooed three of us in one session (4 tattoos total). He works so hard, and he makes sure everything is perfect before he gets started. I love his style, and his sketches of what I wanted was way better than what I used as reference pictures. Clean and beautifully decorated tattoo shop with friendly and talented staff! They were very welcoming to a walk in on a Saturday, and patient with a tattoo virgins ideas and designs! :) My friend and I both received tattoos (as walk-ins) from Tanner and left absolutely loving them. Matty did a phenomenal job!! We originally went to a different tattoo shop up the street but they were incredibly rude and dismissive so we stumbled on Low Creek and I am so happy I did. I will never go anywhere else. Matty did my 9th and 10th tattoos so I've had experience with other artists and he is definitely head and shoulders above the rest. The shop is extremely clean and the decor is amazing. It is comfortable and feels homely while still making you feel confident that everything is sterile. Plus the all around vibe of the shop is really great and all of the staff we met were extremely pleasant and inviting. I was there for about 4 1/2 hours and didn't want to leave! I could hang out there all day. Matty was a true professional. He not only listened to what we wanted but he took our vision and turned it into something better than we could have imagined. I appreciated that he got us involved in the drawing process and let us pick the actual color of the ink we were using. The tattoos came out so clean and beautiful. They were simply perfect. I appreciated that he took such care in making sure we were on the same page so he could deliver what we wanted. At each step of the tattoo he would check in and make sure that it was how we wanted and would give his honest opinion as an artist before continuing onto the next phase. He also took his time. I never felt rushed. I don't look like someone who is covered in tattoos so I respected that he approached me as a person and didn't judge me. He made the entire experience a lot of fun. And he is very gentile. Not to mention he is very thorough on the after care. I plan on getting at least two more medium size pieces done by Matty and what ever others I imagine up. I wouldn't go to anyone else in Colorado. I highly recommend him!! read more

I got my first, and probably only tattoo here a few weeks ago. Tanner did the work, and I couldn't be happier. I'm a little sad I ended up getting the tattoo in a place I can't see it all the time, it's so beautiful. I was nervous, but the whole experience was really easy and smooth. Got a tattoo here last year. Sent tony the info and picture and asked him to draw something similar. When I arrived on the day of the appointment he said he drew several things but didn't like them. (He had nothing to show me) he then told me he was going to draw something. Came out 10 minutes later with the traced image. Tattoo artists should be able to draw. Anyone can trace. Love the water color but no effort was put into to the drawing. I learned that Tony can trace lines. Big deal. I wouldn't go there again. read more

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could! I love this shop and the guys that work here. Matty has been tattooing me for a little over 3 years; he's done all 5 of my tattoos! I've gotten 3 of these done up at Low Creek and it's a great shop. The other artists are so friendly, and it's great to see the guys interact with each other and customers. When I got my last tattoo, which is on the inner part of my upper arm and goes from my armpit to my elbow, I had my mom come with me and Matty was awesome with her. They knew each other already, and he was helping her distract me from the pain. The atmosphere is awesome, and all of those guys are extremely talented and nice. Nate at Low Creek tattoo was recommended to me by a friend. I was looking to get a coverup of a coverup on my shoulder. It was big and I bet I've talked to artists all over the place for 5 years that all would not touch it. But I did not want to get it lasered off. After talking to Nate and seeing some of the impressive work he's done, he was confident he could do a great cover up. What he's done has been amazing! I gave him some basic ideas of things that could work and he came up with something truly awe inspiring! I had given up hope of ever having a decent looking tat on my shoulder since the original art and it's cover up had a ton of black ink in it. He's a true artist and a great guy. He also has a pretty light touch. All the guys in shop have been pleasant and professional and really know the ins and outs of tattooing. It's also a very clean shop. I've worked in hospitals that were less sanitary than this place. read more

I wish there was an option for negative stars . I took my son to get his first tattoo and it took ten minutes to be greeted not to mention the whole parlor smelled like drugs. The owner said he was to busy and was "not into" what my son wanted. We both left feeling bad about the whole experience, my advice is that low creek is a no creek read more

I was recommended to Low Creek by a friend of mine as a new shop here in Arvada. As someone who wanted to get some new work done and someone who also enjoys supporting new and upcoming businesses I immediately went in and checked it out. My friend had suggested that I looked into having Tony as my tattoo artist. As soon as I walked in I noticed that the shop was very clean and had a very simple but warm feel to it. I was greeted by Tony and began talking to him about what I wanted to do. He started helping me put tattoo ideas together and he's been really helpful through the entire process. As a lover of anime I had decided to dedicated left leg from my knee to my ankle to one of my favorite anime's, Attack On Titan. Now, I had gone in there with a very simple and basic idea for a full leg piece design, but after talking with Tony he and I began re-working it and coming up with better ideas. I was amazed by the fact that he actually took the time to go home and begin watching the anime, he studied the art style of it and looked for things we could add into it to really make it stand out. He's probably spent at least 2-3 hours of his free time learning about the anime and the different elements in it so that he could do the best work possible. I've had about 6-7 sessions with him and we're coming up to the end of the piece and I can safely say that it's coming out better than I ever thought possible. He's a phenomenal artist and he's diverse in all styles of tattoos and he really pours his heart and soul into each piece he does to ensure that it's the highest quality possible. Not only that, but their pricing is great as well. Low Creek tattoo consists of people that aren't into it just to make money, but because they're truly passionate about tattooing and want to be able to share that with people. They're as fair as it gets when it comes to pricing and won't gouge you for all you have while still doing amazing work. One of my favorite things about Tony is that he actually took the time to get to know me, to form a friendship with me, and getting tattooed by him is always a lot of fun because he's a genuine, funny guy that always makes it an enjoyable experience. As I began to get to know Tony more I also came to form a friendship with the other artists in the shop as well, and I can honestly say that I could think of no better environment to be in because they share the same heart as Tony when it comes to their dedication to tattooing. The people are at Low Creek tattoo are friendly, amazing people, that will always do their best to give you a fair price and leave you with amazing artwork. No matter who you decide to get work done by, I promise you'll have an amazing experience that's worth every penny you spend there, and I look forward to getting many more pieces done at Low Creek Tattoo that I know I'll enjoy for the rest of my life. read more
