No ego, no pressure, just real conversation and genuine interest in getting the design right. They listened carefully, asked the right questions, and fully understood the look we were going for. Greg absolutely delivered. The level of detail in the work is what really stood out, it wasn't just "good," it was precise. Every line, every shade, every element matched the original design exactly the way it was supposed to look. And somehow, he made it stand out even more on skin than it did in the reference. You would never know it was a cover-up. That alone says everything. On top of that, the pricing was very competitive for the level of talent and detail you're getting. This isn't rushed or average work, this is skilled, intentional artistry. The shop itself is spotless, calm, and comfortable. It has a relaxed atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Also, Isaac does the piercings, and his custom jewelry designs are seriously next-level, super intricate, unique, and not something you see everywhere. We'll 100% be repeat customers. Everything was completely sterilized, and we had a chance to checkout the placement of our marked piercings (my old piercer at a different shop didnt let me, so I appreciated that). The piercings were $50 each, including the titanium hypoallergenic jewlery. The piercer was super friendly, and gave us the proper care and cleaning instructions. Perfect placement, very quick with the needle, and almost completely painless! Would definitely recommend.

Meredith consulted with me and to my surprise she was able to recreate exactly what I wanted from a photo. She was patient with editing, resizing, and stenciling it multiple times until I was sure of the placement. I really wanted it on my foot but was worried about the pain. Meredith convinced me it would be fine, and unbelievably it did not hurt at all, owed to how good she is. It turned out way better than my expectations and I'm in love with it! The shading and lines are crisp but still have the hand-drawn effect I was looking for. I get so many compliments saying the artwork is amazing. I will definitely be back soon for the rest of my insect tattoos that I have planned!

About 75% of the ink had faded out in the first week of getting the tat. It was just a disaster. After finding Mike in Facebook and reading his reviews I set up an appointment to have it fixed. Let me tell you! He is the an extremely talented artist. I cannot believe the difference in this tattoo. It looks completely different. The coloring and shading is incredible. He has a real talent for tattooing! I will be sending everyone I know to him. I still cant get over how amazing my tattoo ended up. I highly recommend this shop! Went in for the Friday the 13th flash sale and ended up falling in love with a bigger pice and they still gave me an amazing deal on it since they had it with the flash tattoos even though it was definitely a bigger pice. I talked to everyone in the shop and they all gave great insight and advice about tattoos and placement. Each artist even took the time to look at each other's work and congratulate the people getting them and the artist. I say this with the utmost endearment -- Katherine had this "fun mom" vibe that put me at ease. She has a private little shop and only sees one client at a time so you get the cozy comfort of having Katherine's 100% attention without being distracted by other people. She is knowledgeable about her trade and is an artist at her core. I definitely recommend Katherine and Elegant Ink for those who may be on the fence about getting a tattoo or is nervous about any preconceived notion of what a tattoo shop is like. It was a very relaxing and comfortable environment. Now getting the tattoo itself is painful but I assume that's common knowledge. It was as bad as I expected, not any more than that. It was like a sunburn that is being scratched at -- eventually you get use to it and then it's just the buzzing of the equipment that might get annoying. Katherine has a TV with Netflix and Hulu+ to distract you from the noise, though. She does little sections at a time and then provides some relief; plus you get breaks whenever you want/needed and she only counts the time she actually spent working on the piece. Shawn is extremely attentive on email and I was able to send him what I wanted along with scheduling this way - I have zero free time to sit on a phone call and explain everything so this was big for me! He was also SO kind and nice. You can tell he cares about the customer. Unfortunately I reached out to another tattoo shop before Solstice and didn't have that level of customer service. It was a relief to work with Shawn after that situation. I wanted to get a couple small tattoos one of them being on a special day to commemorate the anniversary of a loved one who passed. I found out he scheduled it during his off hours just to accommodate me - never told me this which I think shows his level of commitment to making the customer always happy. The shop was clean and welcoming. They included me in their shop conversation and didn't make me feel like some outsider. I honestly felt like these guys thought we were all friends. Wish other businesses were like this! Met one of their vendors RX Tattoo Care who was equally kind and welcoming. Looking forward to trying out their after care balm. There was a tattoo I'd wanted that my friend wanted to match and we decided on the spot to see if we could get a couple of walk-in spots, and gave the shop a call. Long story short, we were able to snag a time with an artist named Tayler late in the afternoon, and she was such a joy to work with. The tattoos we got were fairly small (black and grey katanas about 3 and 4 inches between the two of us) and we were quoted 150 and 175, respectively, based on a size difference between the two. My friend also added on a small finger tattoo and had an old stick and poke refreshed for an extra $50. Tayler worked so quickly and her line work was excellent; I think she finished working with the both of us in a little under 1.5 hours. The shop's vibe is so welcoming and laid back, and the business itself, I learned, is women owned and operated, which I thought was super friggin cool! We felt unbelievably comfortable the whole time and will definitely keep them in mind for the next piece!! Thank you again, Tayler!!!
