I wanted to share my experience because it was quite disappointing. During my first appointment, Donnell had to reschedule because he was running late. The next time, he was almost 45 minutes late. As an indecisive person, I expected the artist to help guide me and provide ideas on what would work best. Unfortunately, this was not the case. He charged me $180 for some shading on existing tattoos, but I can hardly see any difference. I'm pretty upset and regret tipping him. I won't be coming back here again. gave me the wrong directions sent me to 140th and grant I was going in circles she ask me where are you at I said by in-N-Out and buy canes, and she said I don't know where that's so I asked if I could talk to somebody else that knows what they're by because she cannot answer that she said hold on one second then came back and said there's nobody here and when we pulled up there's like eight people in there and they were all rude. I've been here numerous times for piercings and went smoothly from piercer Paul. However, I just went in to get my daith pierced with Natalie I believe. This piercing has caused me the most excruciating pain of my life, and I knew something was wrong since I have 21 other piercings and never had an experience like this. After trying to bear through the pain for two days I went to my local tribal rites to get it removed. The piercer there who is wonderful and done many of my piercings too told me she pierced it completely incorrectly in the wrong spot and i'm lucky I didn't end up in the ER. done coming here lol. read more

I had my consultation with Pablo earlier this month and it went well. I made an appointment with him for 5pm on a Thursday. I arrived 10 minutes early. After the receptionist checked me in, Pablo showed me the designs he made up and I picked what I liked best. He told me he just had to add the font and then we'd get started. At that time it was 5pm. A piercer employee walked in and he started chatting with Pablo. Nothing too important, just talking about anime, this and that about some group chat, etc.  After 10 minutes of listening to them chat I looked over and it appears they're just talking, not working on my tattoo, just catching up. Kinda rude, but I can be patient. Another 5 minutes go by. At this point since I've arrived, one customer received a piercing, someone's getting a tattoo, another customer finished his consult with a different artist and scheduled his tattoo, the receptionist made about 4 or 5 reminder calls; everyone else is busy working but these guys are catching up while I wait. I know my design is done, he just told me all he needed to do was add the font so what is taking so long... I kept looking over at them hoping for maybe some acknowledgment or explanation but got nothing. At 5:20 I was about over it. Twenty minutes in theory isn't long at all- but when you pay $100 deposit on a tattoo and you're sitting there excitedly anticipating a 3 hour session, except what you're waiting on is an unimportant personal conversation, 20 minutes goes by really, really slow. At that point I felt insignificant and forgotten about. I felt like his friend was more important than the 3 hour tattoo I had planned. I'd be willing to wait 20 minutes or longer if he was doing some finishing touches, adding some shading, etc. but not for you to catch up with a coworker. Another coworker noticed my look of frustration and asked if I was ok. I'm a big ol' baby about confrontation so by then I'm pretty much already in tears. I asked him "Is it gonna be much longer? I've kinda had a long day, I'm really not trying to be rude but it's been like 20 minutes and they're just chatting about anime characters and other random sh*t and I would really like to get started." The coworker was nice and told me not to worry, he walked over to where they were chatting and told them I was getting impatient. Pablo told him it wouldn't be much longer, just finishing up the printing. After the coworker talked to him I hoped there'd be a change in his distracted attitude but I didn't feel like there was any empathy towards my frustration, even as the coworker told them I was upset they looked over at me like I was being unreasonable. When Pablo came over he asked if everything was okay and if I needed to reschedule. I said "no, I don't want to reschedule, but I've been waiting here for 20 minutes listening to your personal conversation and it gives me bad vibes, like you're gonna be distracted and chatting with your friend while you do my tattoo or that I'm just another task to finish up before you can hang with your buddy." He seemed really surprised by all this. He told me that this was a coworker he hadn't seen in a very long time and they were just catching up... I couldn't believe how lame of an excuse that was to keep me waiting. I told him I'm in the customer service industry and I would never keep someone waiting 20 minutes while I catch up with a buddy no matter how long it's been since I've seen them. His response felt unapologetic, he looked totally thrown off that I said anything. He told me he was a fast tattooer and that he'd get things done quick, but by then, after everything, I lost all my excitement in that shop. I don't want a quick tattoo, I want a great one. One where the artist focuses on the paying customer and not his friend. This is going on my body forever, I feel like I have the right to expect that during the tattoo I'm paying a lot of money for, I shouldn't be fighting for the attention of his "buddy" he hasn't seen in a while. I told him sorry, I'm just gonna take the sketches and go elsewhere. I'm beyond disappointed. Mostly because I had been looking forward to this for a while- but more so because I hate hate HATE being that person. I am reluctant to be confrontational and frankly it makes me sick to my stomach with anxiety, but I had to say something because that was so disrespectful to my time. And worse, a waste of his time and money too, because me being someone who works for tips, I tip big for those who work hard and deserve it. Obviously after this experience I won't be coming back, please be warned that some employees have important conversations to have with each other about anime instead of focusing on their job. Really wish I had better things to say, and really wish I didn't waste $100 bucks on a deposit for such a negative experience, but in the long run $100 is a small price to pay for avoiding a rushed or distracted tattoo by someone who has catching up to do with a buddy. read more

I can't speak to the shop, but I have been researching and was very excited to get a booking here. The artist let me pay my deposit, and schedule within the 48 hour period (which at time of booking I was unaware of) so when I changed my mind ( behind the ear placement- I was nervous and wanted to apply the deposit on a different piece) that's when he informed me my deposit was non refundable bc it was last minute. Of course it was last minute! We had just booked the appointment less than 24 hours prior. I don't even want the deposit back- I was just hoping for some sheer human understanding (tattoos are permanent after all) and wanted to apply it to a different piece, and reschedule the appointment. Being as he didn't even give me enough time to meet this rule- I'd say it's pretty shitty of him- as a human, an artist, and a representative of this industry. My sister and I came in as walk-ins for two small fox tattoos. There was a small wait time of 30 minutes before Charlie was free. He quoted us a reasonable amount. In total from the time we started the paperwork and both had our tattoos completed, the process took a little over an hour. This was my sister's first tattoo and she was a little hesitant about getting the tattoo because she didn't know what to expect pain level wise. Came to Colorado to get a tattoo with my bestie and I found Charlie and he was amazing and funny and very professional, he knew exactly what I wanted and hand drew it even made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. Worst shop I've e ever been too. My fiancé had a consultation at 3:30, the place was completely un organized and packed let alone by the time we were about to sit down its was 4:05 and because I didn't have anything I was getting done I was asked to leave. After THEY WERE 45 minutes late they asked me to leave the shop so I couldn't sit there with my fiancé while she was getting something drawn up. Went in for a nostril piercing and specifically requested a placement where I could swap out to a small ring in the future. He swabbed just the outside of my nose and then marked it high saying if it was lower a thin hoop might tear my skin. Shouldn't have let him do it (but I did) and the experience was painful and bloody. Walked out of there with a high nostril piercing with an odd angle that wouldn't allow the stud to sit flush with my skin. Paid $30 and then I took it out later because it just wasn't right. Went elsewhere the next week and got a way better experience (placement, cleaning, pain, blood, etc.) for $25. I think the piercer was nice enough, but perhaps inexperienced. read more

My husband and I got tattoos here about 6 months ago and had a very good experience and thought the price was fair. We went in today to get a quote for another simple design and was told it was going to be $200 a piece or more for the size of a half dollar tattoo! We were discussing this between the two of us deciding if we wanted to pay that much and were rudely interrupted by Charlie saying 'oh are you a professional tattoo artist?! I got a semi-colon tattoo here a year or two ago. It has faded. My son has gotten several tattoos here as well as piercings. I know quite a few people who have gotten work done here. My son told me that he was told that there were free touch ups for life. I contacted them through messenger (turns out it was a year ago, almost exactly. I have severe memory and cognitive issues and thought it was about 4 months ago) to ask about getting a touch up done. Whomever answered my message told me that they offer 1 free touch up in the first 90 days. They asked if I'd be getting another tattoo as they could touch up my semi-colon when they had the equipment out anyway. I told them that I didn't think so because this is the only tattoo I have and it is in memory of my daughter who took her life in 2015. The message I got back was "Give us a call, we'll take care of you." I have had some severe health issues and just general life things happen and haven't called or gone by. Today I was having a horrible day. My daughter's bday is coming up soon and shortly there after the anniversary of her death. I am having a really hard time. I was having a HORRIBLE day. A lot of self esteem issues and trying to want to be here. I mean here on earth. I already had ECT for 18 mos to stop my own suicidal thinking after my daughter left us. This is why I now have severe memory and cognitive issues. Today I went there to get my nose pierced. I wanted to feel do something for myself to help me feel better. So as I am asking about the piercing I ask about the tattoo touch up. I get the company line about 1 free touch up in the first 90 days. Okay, I get that, not a big deal. I did tell him about the fact that I had already asked about this and was told that they would "take care of me". He says that it was probably the owner who said that and he wasn't in today. From across the room another man, who is one of their tattoo artists says loudly, "I have a tattoo here on my arm from 1985 that has faded, that's to be expected." I was in shock. He just entered our conversation, from across the room, for no other reason than I can see (and I've thought about it) than to make me feel like a stupid piece of shit for even asking about a touch up. I was so upset. I asked him, "Did you really just yell that across the room for the sole purpose of embarrassing me?" He got up and walked over to us to point to his tattoo and started saying something. At this point I said, "Fuck you assshole! Why in the hell would you try to compare the tattoo you got in 1985 with the one I got maybe two years ago?" Yes, I cussed. Which if you knew me you'd know is not like me. I mean I cuss, but hardly ever in public and truly ALMOST NEVER out of anger. I left, crying. Sat in my car and talked with my husband for about a half an hour and then my son for a bit before I was able to drive again. This guy, he took the opportunity to make someone who is struggling with life, with self esteem, with the will to live and made my day that much worse. What a great guy! I wish him the same good energy that he sent my way. I sent them a message that basically said this. It told them how he made me feel and to "thank" him for me. I got a message back that said "Sorry you had a bad experience here today", then laid out their 90 day policy (it would be good if they told you this when you got your tattoo in the first place. trust me I know many people who have had stuff done here and don't know this is their policy) and then stated that they would do the touch up for free and would this make me happy. NOPE. I wrote back that they were missing the point. I have the money to pay for a touch up if that's what it takes. I am not broke. I am waiting for a call back from the owner, they say he will call tomorrow. I wouldn't go back here if they paid me to do so though. I will never walk through their door again, ever. I will tell everyone I know about what happened today and hope they do not go here either. The lack of human kindness, empathy or even sympathy was astounding. WOW! read more

A friend and I came here for piercings together back in July. Jeff did our piercings for us. The environment was clean and relaxing. My friend had her labret done which went quickly and with ease. It's healing really nicely. I did a double forward helix which has healed fairly nicely as well. I jumped each time Jeff pushed the needle through, but he was unphased. I went in for a rook and conch piercing. The conch piercing literally was in my ear at such a crooked angle (basically diagonal) and hurt constantly because it went through more of my ear at that angle. I had to take it out because I can't even put a hoop in it which is exactly what I told the piercer, Paul, I wanted. The rook is also crooked but not as bad, I can live with that one. I called to get my 25$ back and they said they would have their manager call me to refund me my money and no one ever called. I would maybe consider going back if they refunded me but that was a hell of a pain to go through for it to look like crap. I will post a picture. read more

Charlie was very honest with me about the difficult of fixing the tattoo, and let me know my options for fixing it were basically to cover it up or get it removed. He still worked with me on what I wanted and was willing to help me with deciding where to place it and incorporating it into an existing tattoo.
