Awful experience. I went in for a cartilage piercing and out of all the shops I've been to (I have a total of 10 piercings) this has been the worst. The young lady didn't seem to know what she was doing and was very aggressive while piercing/ putting the earring on. It came out crooked and got infected shortly after. read more

I do not recommend Melody due to her communication challenges. I made a consultation appointment at which I showed some images I liked, we discussed what I am going for. She told me to send by email the images to help guide the design. She stated I would have a design 2 days ahead of my appointment which I paid a deposit for. I checked with her 2 days before to see how the design was coming along and was told I would get it the next day and she would have time the day of to do the changes. I received a poorly constructed design at midnight the day of my appointment. I asked for tweaks and never received them. I did not feel comfortable going to the appointment without a final design and did not want to be put on the spot. I called the shop, emailed Melody and did not get a response until after my appointment time. Pretty crappy experience and I will take my business elsewhere. I recommend you do as well if you would like an attentive artist to collaborate on an original design, or be responsive at all. read more

I've had three tattoos done by Jessica and she's done an amazing job every time. My most recent tattoo I gave her a few basic ideas of what I wanted and she drew up a design even better than what I had in mind. She's hilarious and all of my tattoos have healed so well they didn't even need touch ups! She's great at explaining the process, how much time it will take, and how people generally react to the pain of tattoos in a certain area. Visited this shop when they opened at 11 on Monday 7-16-18. Both artists were deep in tattooing and hardly acknowledged me. Told me to write down my name and #, draw what I was wanting in approximate size and where I want it on a piece of paper and they would give it to Melody and I would hear from her soon. Never heard from anyone at the shop. I really wanted to support the closest ink shop to my house, I guess I will have to expand my search. read more

Called during business hours, the piercer said she was leaving to get her oil changed. She wasn't sure if she'd be back in before they closed (which was 6 hours away still), but she would be in the next day from 11-6pm. Went in then and she wasn't there again. If you say you'll be there, you should be there; it's your job. She lost our business for good. Disappointing and annoying. read more

One thing I have noticed about piercings is that it's probably best to call ahead and schedule a day/time because there isn't always a piercer here. I took my 6-year-old daughter for her ear piercing, along with a friend that also had it done. The piercer was AMAZING with both girls! Explained everything to them, so they understood what was going on, in a totally relatable way. When the first girl had her first ear done, the whole shop cheered, because she did such a great job! I would not recommend this place. They are extremely rude and do not compromise at all with what you want. I asked for a small word on my wrist and there response was extremely rude quoting " you would be dumb if you thought you could have a small word on your wrist, and if you try going to another place it will look like shit". I will say it is my fault for not doing research but in fact the costumer can choose the size of their tattoos. read more

Called them to talk to the piercer about an industrial. She had nothing but negative things to say about it. I decided to go for it anyway. I got an industrial piercing done by Jess and to start she used the same gloves to do everything, from touching the cabinets and drawers straight to performing my and my daughters piercings. After using a technique I've never seen before to perform the industrial, the placement ended up being so far off that the jewelry began migrating. When experiencing issues and physically going in to show her the piercing she stood several feet back in the dimmest lighting possible and chalked it up to infection. After going to urgent care they informed me that it wasn't infected. So instead of owning up and admitting that her placement was off & that the jewelry was migrating, she sent me to get an unnecessary doctors bill. The jewelry used was cheap, externally threaded, and swelling aside, was WAY too long for my ear. I've since gotten it removed (which revealed an indentation in my ear from where the bar was digging into my scapha) and plan to go somewhere else to get it re-pierced by a reputable piercer. While I obviously am miffed at the piercer for not just saying that she wasn't comfortable or just couldn't do the piercing and subjected me to a shitty experience and taking my money & for putting the health of me and my daughter at risk. I also am kicking myself in the ass. I should've walked out of there. Matter of fact, I should have never walked in. All the signs were there and I ignored it. read more

After carefully searching for an artist to do my latest tattoo, I booked a session with Melody here. Though they don't have a lot of yelp reviews yet, their facebook page has plenty. I got a floral tattoo on my shoulder and I love the Melody redrew it as many times as necessary to get it just right for me. The tattoo process went by quickly because she was easy to talk to and has a very light hand. In the end, the tattoo turned out better than I could have imagined. The shading it spectacular and the detail is great. I highly recommend this shop and especially Melody. read more
