While out celebrating my mom's birthday we decided to be spontaneous and get a few piercings. The staff were so patient, well informed, and friendly (even when some potential customers got rude because they had filled up all possible appointments for that day). My mom and sister got a few old piercings re-opened and a few new ones as well. Staff are great about explaining everything and were super careful about keeping everything clean, lots of hand washing, multiple sets of gloves, everything sealed and opened in front of you. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Tip: just because they only take walk-ins (unless it's a child's appointment) does not mean there is endless availability (especially on the weekends). When we visited they only had one piercer in, and early in the day filled up their queue and had to turn some folks away. So if you're driving a distance or can't come back another time your best bet is to wait for a weekday, or on the weekends arrive when they open and be willing to kill some time around town. I had an awkward experience in this shop. The piercer wasn't there, and the person working wasn't sure if/when they were coming in. They took my number, but then group texted a handful of us to say the piercer wasn't coming in (this was like 5 hours later, and we had already gone to another shop). Felt unprofessional all around. They spend time and give a lot of attention, even making sure to hold up your selections before buying with mirror to see if you truly love the placement and how it looks. I always feel like I have my own personal stylist/jeweler with me when I go here. I came in for a real gold nose hoop, and left with 3 new piercings and 11 new pieces of "Forever" jewelry. The "flat" chain piece in the ear cartilage & the green/gold earlobe pieces were pierced at Sage and the jewelry you see is what went in with the piercings same day. Took my 10 year old daughter to get her ears pierced for her birthday. Would have liked to know what documentation we needed before going - definitely call first if you are considering taking your child! But we were able to go home and get what we needed and go back. Harrison was amazing - very patient with my daughter and told her exactly what he was doing and what she needed to do. Would recommend this method of piercing over the "piercing guns" for sure. It is a lot more expensive, but worth it in the long run. My only gripe is that the business should update their website to reflect their current policies. read more

I really really enjoyed this piercing location. It is upstairs but a separate location from think tank tattoo. Just like the tattoos, good piercings cost money. I have been to other places where it cost little but the piercings got infected. I have gotten 6 piercings from Brian over the last couple of years. It's ABOUT TIME I leave a review for them! I could not be HAPPIER with the work that's done here. Brian is super professional and tells you exactly what he's going to do before he actually starts piercing you so you know what to do/expect. Came in on a Saturday at about 2pm and was told they had a 2 hour wait. I had come here from Colorado Springs, so I decided the wait was fine and explored the area. At about 4pm I went back and was told probably another 2 hours. Sum it up, I waited until about 7:30pm. That is the only reason for them loosing the star. This guy knows his stuff. He takes your lifestyle into account and will tell it to you straight on what you need to do to make sure your piercing heals well. He won't ever suggest a piercing that won't fit with your lifestyle habits, even if you came in wanting that piercing. If I ever want to get pierced I have a few ideas of what I'm wanting but I'll talk to him first about how the piercing will work with the way I sleep and daily activities. It was $240 to have my septum jewelry changed, my belly button jewelry put back in, and to have my nose pierced, which started to close after one week (due to me having surgery). I brought my own jewelry for my nose and belly button but they didn't use my hoop since they'd be repiercing my nose. A little annoying cause I would've brought one my studs from home but that's my fault for not asking. The piercer was a little harsh when doing my nose, I have had more piercings that I can count and usually I'm not a little bitch but I do have to say it kinda hurt. And for all the reviews about the front desk lady, I agree she was a little off putting. She lectured me about how they do salt soaks even though she could see I have multiple uninfected piercings in my body lol. The jewelry options were nice but waaaay too overpriced. I went in the first time. A girl with resting b*tch face said sorry, you both need an I.D.. Fair enough. We went home, got our ID's, which exhibit the same last name, and returned. This time, the same girl and another were sitting around pondering closing up shop for a half an hour, I guess because they were overwhelmed by good business (sarcastically...we were the only ones in there). This time, two girls with resting b*tch face refused to help me because our IDs had two different addresses. I was polite, if a little tight lipped, the first time. Not so much the second time. Sage piercing is good if you know the basics of healing. Firstly, they offer to pierce with a hoop, which raises the chance of infection significantly. The rotation can pull new bacteria into the wound/the hoop is more mobile than a stud which is irritating to piercing itself. The aftercare is also not the best. You shouldn't use any cotton based products on piercings as the small threads can sometimes be pulled out, attach themselves to the hooks/sharper edges of your jewelry, and heighten the chance of infection. A fine mist spray is the best option as it can be gently dabbed off. And, you should never be making your own saline solution. The parts are not mixed right and won't be as effective as a professionally produced ones. Large bottles are maybe $10. read more
