Passing through for a work trip and needed my ears re peirced. My jewelry had fallen out and holes slightly closed up. Mike is one of the best tattoo artists in Denver. With two locations, they do both piercings and tattoos. I had my daughter's ears pierced and they were kind, patient, clean, and efficient. I've come here twice for two tattoos as well: one on my shoulder and another as a cover up for a crappy first, old tattoo on my neck. No Masks Anywhere to be seen. BUYER BEWARE! I went on June 26, and the young man that changed my piercing had no mask on and was so close to my face I could smell his breath- it was disgusting. Granted, this was before Polis' mandate but I thought hair salons... etc required masks which was why I went in. To make matters worse, I realized he changed my labret style nose ring from a 20 gauge to an 18 gauge. I was wondering why it hurt so bad. Now I want to put in a 20 gauge ring and am afraid it will fall out. BUYER BEWARE. NOTE: This used to be a VERY highly respectable piercing and tattoo establishment. At the time I had my initial piercing last fall there it was incredibly reputable. The individual that used to run the place had a tight operation and was very professional. Now whoever is running this *hole of an operation should not be trusted. There has been a serious management/ownership change since Covid and it's awful. Do not go there. read more

When I saw that White Lotus was opening less than a mile from my house I was like yay! I stopped in one day at noon (right when they open) and talked with Aaron about getting some new ink. We went over my concept drawing and made an appointment for a couple weeks later. When I came in he had my original drawing plus a new one he'd made using the old one as inspiration. The new one was spectacular and I went with that one. Everyone here was very friendly and it was all bright, crisp and clean. I had no worries getting jabbed repeatedly by a sharp needle here. Shop rate is $150/hr and I think their hours might be noon to 8pm every day, but not 100% sure on that one. Pretty much full of themselves. Very arrogant. Spent over $200 for a teen ear piercing and their jewelry. Front desk person ignored me and I had to wait to pay for about 20 minutes while some lady discussed a tattoo with another staff in detail while blocking the register. They tell you to call if you have questions - I called once (only once!) and they basically yelled at me like I was bothering them. My friend had the same experience with an email, they could care less once you pay what happens to you. Too bad, because the person who does the piercing couldn't be nicer. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I have been working with Jupe for several months now on my sleeve. I went in with an idea and he totally ran with it. Kyle Thomas at the centennial location does excellent work. I have had several large pieces done over the years and I have to say that my and my wife's experiences with Kyle are up there with the best of them. He works quickly and efficiently while achieving excellent saturation. My wife's watercolor sleeves get complimented everywhere we go to the point that it makes me a little jealous of her ink lol. Holy fuck I would give this place negative stars if I could. DO NOT GO TO THIS TATTOO SHOP. I can't even remember the asshole of an artist who tattooed me but it was my first tattoo EVER, I was 18 & non confrontational. I remember calling to ask if my friend could be with me since COVID had just became a thing & the artist & front desk man were talking badly about me feet away. When it came to the tattoo... his work was FOUL!! 2 years later & I regret it every single time I look. He was heavy handed & it makes me wonder if he purposefully did a shit job because I had unintentionally annoyed him. I'm looking to get it lasered off now. Line work was despicable. Went SUPER dark didn't even try to give me any good advice, it's like he was looking forward to screwing up my leg. Can't believe I even tipped him $20 or $40 because I felt I was obligated. Time to write a review of the new location! I had been to White Lotus many times before for random piercing help such as changing out other piercings while they were still healing and so on. They had never charged me for these things and were immensely friendly every time even though they weren't making a profit from helping me. Needless to say, their patience with me paid off in the long run as I finally decided to get another piercing and knew where I had to go. I was not disappointed! Rosie was my piercer and she is really fun to talk with! I even wanted to put in an older piece of jewelry into my other piercing and she disinfected it for me and then put it in before doing the new piercing. They use hollow needles here by the way and I would not recommend anything else for piercings like helix and conch and other harder cartilage piercings. So they have the right equipment and insert the piercing seamlessly from the needle. Rosie had me breath in and on the exhale pierced my ear. This is by far my preferred method as it helps you psychologically relax and appropriately tense your core for maximum pain alleviation. Rosie also helped me pick the perfect placement for my second rear helix spot before piercing me and afterwards informed me of all the aftercare that I'd need. Overall, White Lotus is pretty laid back and relaxing. They take their time which is what you want with piercings and tattoos so be as patient as they are and you'll have a great experience. I'd say any negative reviews probably stem from people being nervous or having a bad physical reaction to a piercing which is a risk you take for piercings. But they have a 90 day policy where they'll help you with complications and re-pierce you for free if anything happens. They use surgical implantation grade steel for their initial piercings and are very honest about which styles will help you heal faster. So keep in mind that you get what you pay for here and I mean that in the best sense. Also keep in mind that this new location is still pulling some things together so give them a break with being overly critical. It's really clean (my number one requirement) and friendly so give them a little time and they'll be just as good as their first location. I haven't gotten tattooed by them yet but if I ever want to get one, I'll likely come here. read more

I have gone to White Lotus in the past. At their first location, I had a piece done that I contemplated for years. I was happy with the tattoo. When I got married almost 1 1/2 years ago, I told my husband that I wanted to get a tattoo with our last name. He had one on his left upper arm. An eagle holding a banner with our last name. I lost him 2 months ago. Daniel was sent to help! I walked in one afternoon with an idea and wanted to check out the new shop. We chatted about my ideas, and he pointed me to the portfolio stack. He said to find the artist I liked and he would set me up with a consultation. I ended up choosing his book, not knowing at the time. Daniel said he would draw something up amd set me up with an appointment. What Daniel did was above and beyond! He took te to redraw a few things that I didn't really like. Then we started. The time, precision, artistry, and compassion he has put into this memorial piece is nothing short of amazing. When it is done next month I will share photos. While sitting in this open forum of clients and artists I was impressed and entertained by the conversation. One thing that stuck with me was the artist working across from me asked about our story. After telling him, he said the most profound thing. "I like to think of tattooing as taking out the pain, not putting it in. " I spent the afternoon letting some of my pain out. I really wanted to like this place because it had such great reviews. I went in looking for some jewelry. I was told that they just ordered what I wanted and it would arrive in two weeks. I waited, went back, and was told that they still didn't have the jewelry. Both times that I went in their selection of jewelry was pretty slim pickings. The only good thing is that they did recommend that I go to another shop. That shop had everything that I wanted and better customer service. Can't say enough good things about this place!! Even from the moment I first walked in to set up an appointment, the whole staff is so nice and welcoming. I got my first tattoo here with Ohran and it was such a great experience. He's super friendly, crazy talented and really made sure I was happy during every step of the process. I truly felt so comfortable the entire time. I got a simple forearm piece of Nordic runes and it's EXACTLY what I wanted. He was super knowledgeable and answered every question with ease like a total professional. We were even talking about my next one while I was in the chair. I had a specific size in mind for my tattoo but was concerned it might be too small over time and he explained how with my piece it wouldn't be an issue, so I was able to get the perfect tattoo that I've been wanting for so long. I found White Lotus while staying nearby. They were super friendly and helpful, unfortunately I couldn't get an appointment there. They referred me to their sister store White Lotus Custom Tattoo and suggested Jhewp (Jupe). I was afraid of being referred to a newby tat artist. So I yelped and goggled the store and Jhewp. All positive, and was able to schedule 2 four hour sessions. Day 1 Jhewp brought my 10 year old ink back to life and corrected a sizing issue with my dagger. I was ecstatic. Day 2 I presented him with a picture of my departed best friend, Titan the Doberman Pincher. He worked up outline and other details on his iPad. 4 hours later I have a beautiful portrait of Titan. Jhewp was also asked to take 5 names of family members who mean a lot to me. He free handed the names with a pen and an hour later a beautiful piece of artwork again. I cannot say enough about this artist except he should charge more. These are some of the most incredible tat work I have ever seen. Jhewp will be my go to tat artist in Denver from now on. I wanted to like this place since it got such good reviews, but the tattoo I got here was pretty bad. The line work was awful (super inconsistent thickness). Also, despite following the aftercare instructions to the letter, my tattoo scarred in several places, indicating that the artist pressed in way too deep when he was doing it. The whole thing could have looked way better if I'd had someone who knew what he was doing. I've had multiple people look at it and tell me I should go get my money back. I got my tattoo a few years ago, so I can't remember the name of the guy who did it - maybe they gave me a novice or something because it looks way worse than the other pictures I see on here. Anyway, if you go here MAKE SURE you get someone who you specifically know is going to be good or just be safe and don't get your tattoo here. read more

After spending several months reviewing Instagram sites and online portfolios of local artists, I decided that Jupe was the person I wanted to work on my tattoo. I scheduled an appointment with Jupe so that I could discuss my idea and get his professional opinion and input. He was very patient and actively listened to what I was hoping to have done. Once I finally made it in for the actual tattoo, Jupe took a photo of my shoulder and then created a draft on his iPad. The process was very collaborative and inclusive, a continuation of the initial appointment. Fast forward several hours... When I took my first look of the completed tattoo, I was simply amazed! The gray scale, photo quality art work of a great white shark exceeded my expectations. The shadows, detail, and streaks of sun light give this tattoo an element of realism that only a skilled artist could capture. I could not have been any happier with the outcome. Thank you Jupe!
