Here's the thing about me. Sometimes I can be all talk and…read moreno action. In fact, I've been slated to go 3 different times to get tattoos with friends, and each time I've bailed. BAH. So, when having family visit from out of town who were desperate to get tattoos with me, I figured if we were going to do it, we'd go close to home. White Lotus was the spot of choice, and a decent one at that. Staff is beyond friendly, welcoming and eager to assist. We met with Dave who gave us a rundown of the place, provided us with rates and allowed us to make an appointment for a later date and email him what we wanted tattooed. Rates range depending on the size, shape, design level and location of the piece - but going rates start at $150/hour - which in the limited research I've done, seems reasonable. On the day of, the girls were eager to get their ink, while I found myself nervous beyond belief. A young woman (her name escapes me now) helped to ensure me everything was going to be okay, that she was there to walk me through it and gave me sound advice when it came to size, shape and locations of the tattoo. Just before she started the first line, I realized I wasn't ready for something permanently on my body and asked to stop. She was gracious and said it was no problem - as many people have this reaction. I paid her for her time but walked away inkless! I'll admit, the attention to detail, line quality and overall end result looked great on our guests - and they left happy! Whenever I'm "ready" for a tattoo or another piercing - I'll head to White Lotus!

The location is conveniently situated in Cherry Creek North, but be prepared for potential parking issues. However, our overall experience was fantastic from the moment we walked in. They have a nice selection of earrings for the piercing devices, and they don't recommend or perform needle piercings for babies. The pricing was competitive, and the staff, including the nurse, was very patient and kind. The aftercare instructions were easy to follow, and we're keeping our daughter's ears clean, and they're healing wonderfully. One thing to note for parents considering getting their baby's ears pierced is that there's some aftercare involved to ensure proper healing. Overall, I found their prices to be quite competitive with the pediatrician's office for piercing, and their hours are great for working parents.

Today I went into buy earrings and I feel like I was totally ripped off. I told the sales associate that I was looking for something that wouldn't tarnish and that had a flat back. She led me to a glass box on the island in the middle of the store. I picked out two studs from the glass container. It was my understanding that these are the earrings that people pick out when they want their ears pierced. Before she went and grabbed the studs and the flat backs, she said they were nonrefundable. I said that was fine. In my mind, nonrefundable means when you buy the item, you can't return it. In this case, what nonrefundable meant was the minute she had opened package the earrings came in, I couldn't change my mind. I don't know why she couldn't just place them in another package. At any jewelry store when you ask the sales associate to take something out of the container, that doesn't mean you are tied to buying that item. What was annoying to me was the backings. For two backings, it was $108. I feel like for that price you need to tell the customer what they're getting into. I did not realize that the backing and the earring were sold separately. Totally a rip off. I walked out of there spending $244 on two studs and two flat backs. I guess I had picked earrings that only one specific backing would fit on? I wish the sales associate had offered me more options or at least told me that each backing was going to be $54 each....... Since she had already opened the package the earrings came inside , I had to make the purchase. I decided to put the earrings on in the store. The earrings and the backings are the size of a small ant and when I asked for her help, she said she could not help me because "she wasn't a nurse." Furthermore, when I asked if there was a device that could help grab the earring and place it in my ear that I could use, she said she could not allow me to use it. Overall, the earrings are cute and I don't think they'll tarnish (they shouldn't for freaking $300 ) but I wouldn't buy jewelry from here. The backings and the earrings are two separate prices and it's kind of a rip off

I was greeted and helped by Styx who ended up being my piercer. She gave me a rundown of pricing and my jewelry options ($50 for what I chose plus the $50 piercing fee), and spent a few minutes in the back getting the space ready. Once she called me back, the whole process was only a few minutes, but she explained every step she was taking as she was taking it, and had a relaxed tone the whole time. She was very sweet and gentle, and it was very apparent that she took sterility seriously. The last piercing I had was crudely done in a bathroom by a friend right after high school, so this was certainly a much better (and safer) experience for me. I'm in the market for more tattoos but haven't decided on a piece quite yet, though Stay Local may end up being where I book an appointment next!

My brother recently passed away and I wanted a tattoo to celebrate his life. I was a bit aprehensive because I wanted it on my shin (watching shin tattoo videos is a bit like checking WebMD when you have a cold) but Ohran really went out of his way to make the experience smooth. He and I conversed about the idea for the tattoo a few times leading up to my appointment. He put in a lot of prep work to make sure my tattoo came out exactly how I wanted, even reaching out to me the night before to discuss more ideas he had to make it better. When I came into the shop I told him that I wanted to make one minor change to the sketch. He was happy to do it, and took a lot of time to make sure it was EXACTLY what I wanted, and EXACTLY where I wanted it. I felt extremely confident in his skills and his artistic vision throughout the process. The finished result is a piece of artwork I absolutely love and will look on with fond memories of my brother. I can't wait to get my next one from him and I can't sing his (and the White Lotus Crew's) praises enough! read more

I really was in need of some ink therapy. I decided to go to White Lotus. At first, I wasn't very happy because I had called ahead of time & the girl told me I could come in in an hour. When I got there an hour later, I was told 2 walk ins came in & they took priority so I would have to wait another 3 hours. She could tell I wasn't happy about that so she texted one of the other artists to see if they were willing to come in & do it. Julien came in within a few minutes. He wasn't sure if he could fit me in before his appointment. I showed him a picture of what I wanted. He gave me his opinion & drew up something along the lines of what I wanted & it was even better than the original idea I had! He did an AMAZING job & I'm so happy with how it turned out. Julien was very kind & I truly appreciated his professional opinion. Contrary to what some of these reviews say, Julien wore a mask the entire time. White Lotus turned out to be a great shop for me to get my first tattoo at the age of 68. The place was clean and the people were very accommodating and professional during the entire process. After looking through their portfolios on their website(which I highly recommend), I decided to go with Kyle based on his previous work with the style I wanted. I presented my ideas to him when making the reservation and told him to use his artistic talents to enhance the design. That is exactly what he did with the final product. The banter between the artists and the music selections playing were "interesting", but made the time go by quickly and with some humor. I would highly recommend Kyle for any type of tattoo, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of the other artists. They are all so talented. read more

Jupe is amazing! I wanted to cover up an old tattoo on my ankle and went in just to talk to an artist to see what my options could be. He was very helpful and randomly suggested a peacock feather which just so happened to be what I was considering. He was booked out pretty far but I went ahead and made the appointment. On the tattoo day, Jupe made a few pen marks/outlines on my foot and pretty much free-handed the entire tattoo after that. The final outcome exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Not only is he an amazing artist but he is also very professional as well as friendly. I felt very comfortable while I was there and the other artists/clients were also very friendly. What can I Say! JUPE IS AWSOME! My wife and I lost our 21 year old son and wanted a Memorial Tattoo for him for a few years now. As you can imagine, you dont take this decision of a tattoo like this lightly. We went to White Lotus Tatoo and Jupe is the guy. He did a portrait tatoo for both of us and rocked it! I love this place. I've gotten several things done at both locations. The whole staff is very professional and helpful. I recently got a piece done by @jhewp, you can follow him in IG his work is amazing. I got a columbine flower on my ribs and it looks fantastic. The detail is beautiful and I love it. Jhewp was so detail oriented when creating this piece for me and he's very light handed. The ribs are a super uncomfortable spot to get a tattoo to say the least and when you have an artist that knows what they're doing it doesn't hurt as bad. I loved my experience and I love my new art! In June I went in for a surface tragus. The piercer told me he had never done it before but assured me he had trust in his skills and was willing to try the piercing. I have 17-18 piercings and have had multiple rejections so am always very cautious about who I will let pierce me. He knew about what to do to not make or reject, proper cleaning and sterilizations. This piercing has not rejected at all and cleaning has been a breeze. The shop was clean and he even made good conversation. We have found our tattoo home! This shop is so clean and well laid out. All the artists are laid back, friendly and accommodating. My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kyle! He drew our infinity symbol exactly the way we wanted them to be; half barbwire and half motorcycle chain. Kyle even incorporated our daughters by making hearts that look like gems. This was my first time ever getting a tattoo and Mike, my tattoo artist, was really informant on telling me what to expect and took it easy. They used clean tools and allowed me to take breaks if I needed them. I sent photos of ideas that I wanted for my tattoo, and then Mike made sketch that made my idea come to life. I will let the photos speak for themselves, but I got the worst service and product imaginable at TRIBE ( Bryce was the "artist") whose owners refused to refund, rework, or rectify in any way. The artwork the kid was working from wasn't remotely close to what you see here - and then, Dave Roque aka Jupe covered it with this beautiful Magpie. Taylor is amazing. My girlfriend and I always talked about getting our nipples done but never found the right place. Damion ASSURED me he was great with fine lines and that he could ABSOLUTELY knock this out of the park for me. I gave him a chance, regrettably. My 4 year old granddaughter can draw finer lines than Damion. We proceeded and as he started with "details" I could see that it was going downhill. I was hopeful that he had unexpected tricks up his sleeve. We finished it and I paid him, but he was not deserving of $1! After getting home and really looking at it and seeing the look on faces of family and friends, I reached out and told him my dislikes and he told me to give him a chance and he would gladly touch it up and get the details I wanted. That was a mistake, all he did was pile on more thick lines and more color. I was left with a UGLY tattoo that stayed scabbed, infected and scarred my arm! After numerous conversations with Damion, he did refund my money in full, and said he will MAKE THIS RIGHT! He had me go to "his guy" for a laser removal consultation. That was a disaster in itself. Damion then agreed to use "MY GUY " and he would send me payments each month to cover the cost. He ended up sending me 3 small payments then ghosted me. I spent $2,000 to get this disaster removed and another $1,000 to get it covered! Please remember to always vet your tattoo artists! Damion says he has 14 years experience, however my new artist is only 4 years out of her apprenticeship and blows him out of the water!

I sent numerous photo references via email which Stephanie created a unique design from for me. On the day of my appointment, she showed me the design she'd come up with and allowed me to tweak it to my liking (a minimal shift). Stephanie was very patient on my indecisiveness of size, and very generous and kind throughout the entire process. Very happy with my memorial tattoo and that Stephanie was the one to do it.

When you first walk into the studio you can see that it is super clean and it smells sterile, which are definitely pluses for a tattoo shop. A friend came to visit and we were excited to get a tattoo together so we booked an appointment with Sabrina. She specializes in fine line tattoos and she is amazing. Her work ethic and her drawing/tattooing skills are on point. We gave her the basic idea of what we chose as a piece and gave her artistic freedom, which equaled to an amazing piece for each of us. Not only that, Sabrina has such a soft hand which made getting the tattoo so much easier. I am so happy with the end product. If anyone is looking for a tattoo studio this is highly recommended. They have multiple artists with a range of styles. Thank you Sabrina for creating amazing pieces for us to have forever!
