I went into Trice because unfortunately my ring had to be cut off and removed. In the process, we decided to redesign my ring. Jack Rigsbee was incredibly helpful in combining a few designs and my current stone into a new ring! The process was so easy, they created a model of what I was looking for and the ring was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Jack made the process so easy and communicated every step of the way! Whatever you do, do not have platinum diamond earrings rethreaded with new backings for $350. They will just fall out and you'll either losing a $120 backing to replace or lose the diamond studded earring itself. I now have to contact another jewelry store to help me fix both lose threads so I don't lose another backing. I called Trice and they just offered for me to give them another $150 for a new backing. Terrible customer service and I should have known better because the first experience with Trice was not great. read more

Not only were they unprofessional when we walked in, as we were looking at the earrings and bracelets they were looking over us like we were robbing the place and continuously asking us why we were there. My friend was on FaceTime talking to another friend of ours and they yelled at him saying no cameras while his camera was on his face the whole time. However, after sending us a computer rendering of what we discussed, we had no further response. I emailed her and called her and left a message but no reply. We liked the design and are having it made at another jeweler. We were ghosted and not really sure why. Maybe our purchase was not worth the effort. I am disgusted with my experience at Trice. There are many people working here and the vibe is factory, not family. There was a greeter who led me to a repair line, salespeople, an officious woman behind a repairs desk sitting on her behind, a couple of people standing behind some kind of podium thing, and a few suits just generally rushing around. For a a simple link bracelet having one link removed, I got several conflicting prices on what I would be charged and conflicting opinions on how it would be done, after speaking with a sales associate, a repairs associate, and a general manager. (I heard a lot, except an opinion from one of the bench jewelers that work there.) I have a jewelry background and know that there is no tax on labor like this type of jewelry repair. I was charged tax on the labor and they tried to say the solder was "product" while already having upcharges on what type of gold solder they used. Ugh, the nickel and diming, the lack of knowledge, and the runaround was really bad. The layers of personnel and the steps to get questions answered means no one has to take accountability and seems to be designed to intimidate the average consumer. Oh, and they didn't call me when my repair is ready. I had to call them when I had already explained I was on a tight schedule for leaving the country. Amazing! Fantastic! Cannot speak highly enough! They have THE coolest ring designing system I have ever seen. You can literally sit there and help the designer create the perfect ring for you in real time! We were even able to input my grandmother's diamonds into the system so we would know how they would fit in with the other stones. Trice was communicative and they provided us with samples of the design right away. They even gave us a 3D print out of the ring so I could see how it would fit/look on me! Dropped our rings off to be cleaned, polished and appraised for insurance. After 2 weeks no call went in to pick them up. They had no record of us dropping them off on our account in their system. They had the nerve to suggest this was somehow our fault. Turns out they had written the ticket up using the previous customers information. They claimed our paper ticket would be the only way to find it. Our ticket also had the other customer name, so how would we have been able to pick it up under someone else? They also didn't clean and polish it as promised. This is a 3rd and final strike for twice as they have just screwed with us too many times before. Don't trust them, inspect your paperwork thoroughly and like a dry cleaner.. no tickey....no laundry. read more

Jeff is the best! I went in and sold some old jewelry and sterling silverware for basically melt value. Other jewelers near by would maybe offer me 60% melt value on silver. They work quickly if you need them too and are great for first time buyers. Jeff gave me the full run down on diamonds and was able to get the one I wanted in store to show me within 2 days. There are a lot of things running through your mind when you bring your grandma's honker diamond ring into a store full of people you don't know, ask them to redesign and reset it and leave it there for 2 weeks: are they going to swap it for a fake, overcharge me, create something hideous?? Jeff L who helped me (and has helped me several times since) made me feel well taken care of right away and was super helpful in guiding me into what I was looking for. I don't consider myself at all an expert in things like this.... but somehow I am able to walk into Trice, give Jeff some vague idea of what I am looking for, and walk out with something that WOW's the wife (and makes me look like I know what I'm doing). I have never went wrong here, and never get jewelry anywhere else. At the end of the day unless you are a gemologist or something, you are just going to have to trust your jeweler to not overcharge you or sell you something cheap or ugly. I was shopping there for Christmas and noticed the outlandish prices, and decided to check for sure. I scoped a ring I already own: a simple peridot, diamond halo ring. I paid $250 for it at another Denver Jeweler.... It was $630 at Trice! I told the sales lady I'd paid $250 for it, she said, "Well, it's 50% off".... No, it's not! While I did not major in math, my Liberal Arts degree is adequate to deduce that just because you mark something up to double the going rate, you can't claim a 50% discount. Besides, it's still more expensive, even with their "discount"...
