Got my first tattoo here. The artist seemed very uneasy and wasn't very accommodating. The tattoo itself was slapped on in about 5 minutes with not much care or quality put into it. All of our small talk consisted of how miserable he was and it just seemed like he wanted to get it over with rather than get it done well. Definitely absolutely do not recommend for first tattoo. Also very overpriced for what you are paying for. Definitely not a very nice experience. read more

Not impressed. Nick, the tattooer, acted like it was a huge inconvenience for us to be in there. For 200$ for two tattoo's? Not impressed. Shop minimum 100$. I got a hand tattoo, did not last two weeks. I understand hand tattoos are tricky and may definitely fade but this one seemed to not be done with much care. Sought the option from another artist/owner and they agreed it could have been done better. Waste of my money at least. So this is my third sitting with Kory and each time the experience is better than the last! We are working on my sleeve and Kory takes my ideas and imbues color and artistry into each new addition! The staff is fun and makes all clients feel welcome and heard as they describe what they want However, what I really like is the truth talk these artists have about what a client may want versus what the artist knows will look good, now AND in the future! I came here for three piercings. Though the staff can look intimidating they all were super friendly and fun! I enjoyed my appointment. The piercer took her time since I was getting three different pokes. (Helix, forward helix, and septum) she let me take a break and talked me through the process. I did see a younger client come in with her mother and was impressed with how they talked with her. I don't know her full experience but it made me feel comfortable with the idea of bringing my kiddo in for her future ear piercings. read more

So I went to Bonaroo on the recommendation of a friend. She originally recommended a specific artist who I didn't end up requesting but I loved the results regardless. After stopping in on a random Sunday I was told there might be space on Thursday for a walk-in. Not knowing what my schedule might be like as I was in town for a short time, I figured I'd play it by ear. After dropping my mom at the airport on Thursday, I stopped by again and booked an appointment with Jared for later that afternoon. I know this tattoo was a walk-in, but it was anything but an random tattoo. It was something that meant a lot to me...to commemorate a difficult period in my life. And Jared did a phenomenal job! Listen, many years ago I was a brave little bee getting holes punched everywhere on my body every other day (it seemed). But it has been a very long time and when the sudden urge to get a double conche hit me out of nowhere, ya girl was NERVOUS. I chose Bonaroo mostly because of its proximity. Barely a mile away from my house and making an appointment for the same day was no problem. It also helped tremendously that when I called to make the appointment, the voice on the other end was friendly and warm and welcoming. Not at all like these negative customer service reviews I'm seeing on this page. Anyway, long story short, I had a fantastic experience for my first foray back into the piercing world at Bonnaroo. My piercer Dylan was amazing and made this entire experience for me that much better. He took his time and was very careful and patient. From helping me pick out the jewelry to positioning the holes and talking me through every single step, he was friendly and fun, but still super professional. And I swear he made it so the piercings didn't even hurt! A couple days later and my new holes are doing fantastic. The area is a little red, but that is to be expected. No crazy bleeding and no pain at all! Bonnaroo is a great little shop off Parker - clean and actually a decent size inside. Dylan is seriously the best! I came to him a few weeks ago for a jewelry change, and he told me that my nose piercing had completely closed up without me even knowing. I let the area heal for a little and recently went back so he could re pierce it, and it was such a pleasant experience. The piercer was amazing. I was very impressed with her. She pierced my 6 year old after a bad experience at Clair's. I thought my 6 year old would back out but she was so good at calming her nerves and making her feel comfortable. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because their website says it's $120 including the jewelers and we ended up paying about $170 not including the tip. That caught us by surprise. I worked with Nick Harrington and he was a good choice for me. I'd designed an tattoo to memorialize our deceased son so the symbolism was very important. Nick added his expertise to take my art to a higher level and to make sure it'd work as a long lasting tattoo and his advice and additions really added to my concept. He was kind and professional in explaining his concerns, skilled in his revisions and very, very patient with me. I couldn't be happier with Nick and the results. No experience with the tattoo part of this parlor, only the piercing. Brought my little brother in to get his tongue pierced. The inside of this place is kind of decrepit. I was hoping for something looking a little more sterile... the guy that did it was really creepy. He seemed to get some sort of enjoyment out of stabbing metal through my brother's tongue. He gave him the option of where he wanted it placed, but proceeded to provide no advice as to how far back most people get it or what have you. The prices were a little higher then I was expecting. The place was a ghost town when I visited. He didn't take him back to a room or anything to do it, he just did it right there in the main part of waiting area up by the counter. read more

My wife and I went here 5 years ago to get matching wedding tattoos and had an absolutely horrible experience. The artist was rude and it just all around sucky. So fast forward to now when I've gotten the tattoo itch again and was trying to find a place around where I could get a new one. I saw that Bonaroo went through a change of hands a couple years ago and all their reviews since are good. I decided to stop by and met Billy. He actually seemed a little more personable than some of the other artists I've talked to recently and seemed eager about doing my tattoo idea. I thought his prices seemed a little high (when compared to some of the other artists I've talked to about the same tattoo), but I kept thinking about his just because he seemed like a good guy and was the only one with any personality. For example, I went to Art with Heart and talked to one of the co-owners and he quoted me half the price but seemed blase about the whole thing and told me to text him specifics. I did, and never heard back from. Fast forward a few days later and I've completely changed what I wanted to get tattooed so went back to Billy to get his opinion on it. He quoted me a much more reasonable price (it was also a much less complex tattoo) and I decided to pull the trigger. He had some free time the next day early in the morning so I went for it. I thought the tattoo experience was good. He chatted the whole time, which was good. Took my mind off the pain. Horriable customer service!!!! My mom and I last december 2013 were think about a mother daughter tattoo we wanted the word "promise' on the inside of our pinkies. I and my mom have tattoos already and know the "risks" of getting a tattoo that you can't cover up for, let's say a job, and also know where a tattoo will or won't hold up through the years. Yet after about a month of thought and going over it we decided that we still wanted to get it. I will be honest, we didn't do to much research on where to get the tattoo and from whom, that is my own fault and I have definitely learned my lesson!! We walked into the shop and one guy was on his phone, glanced at us and looked away. The girl was reading a book looked up and just starred at us. She didn't get up and great us or ask us how she can help, just starred. Finally we said what we were looking to get and then they both chimmed in to say what a horrible idea this is and that we shouldn't get it. The guy was telling us he even rolls down his sleves while he is driving so he doesn't get the attention of cops........ He was nice about it at least and seemed generally concerned that we shouldn't get it. The women on the other hand was very rude and seemed incredibly stuck up in her own way. Sorta like we were annoying her and keeping her from doing better things with her time We still insested so we started looking at fonts the women went on about how often this would need touched up because of were it was at. My mom and I already knew this. Yet she continued to make us feel stupid for just thinking about doing this. We both ended up walking out especially after hearing that 7 small thin letters, about 1 1/2 inches long was going to cost us 70 bucks! I understand it is there job to possibly help people out of making a very stupid descion when it comes to tattoos and placement, and I appreciate that they were trying to help out I guess. This place is awesome! Walked in there one day with my sisters and wanted to get a simple tattoo to start the process of eventually getting a sleeve. Charlie made my idea way better than I expected! This past Friday (11/8/13), my fiance and I went in to get my tattoo touched and to add some more to it. I told what I wanted, I want this little piece to start expanding into a sleeve and he did an amazing job. My fiance talked with the owner and Charlie the entire time. They are good guys, make you feel comfortable, and do great work. I am stoked that we walked into this place last month because I am always going to be a customer.
