Got my first tattoo here. The artist seemed very uneasy and wasn't very accommodating. The tattoo itself was slapped on in about 5 minutes with not much care or quality put into it. All of our small talk consisted of how miserable he was and it just seemed like he wanted to get it over with rather than get it done well. Definitely absolutely do not recommend for first tattoo. Also very overpriced for what you are paying for. Definitely not a very nice experience. read more

Not impressed. Nick, the tattooer, acted like it was a huge inconvenience for us to be in there. For 200$ for two tattoo's? Not impressed. Shop minimum 100$. I got a hand tattoo, did not last two weeks. I understand hand tattoos are tricky and may definitely fade but this one seemed to not be done with much care. Sought the option from another artist/owner and they agreed it could have been done better. Waste of my money at least. So this is my third sitting with Kory and each time the experience is better than the last! We are working on my sleeve and Kory takes my ideas and imbues color and artistry into each new addition! I came here for three piercings. Though the staff can look intimidating they all were super friendly and fun! I enjoyed my appointment. The piercer took her time since I was getting three different pokes. (Helix, forward helix, and septum) she let me take a break and talked me through the process. I did see a younger client come in with her mother and was impressed with how they talked with her. I don't know her full experience but it made me feel comfortable with the idea of bringing my kiddo in for her future ear piercings. read more

I got my tattoo done by Mika, this is my second time now. She was really great and mindful about the colors she used and how they'd look on my skin. The whole place was extremely professional and I felt very safe with all the precautions they were taking. I currently work in a restaurant so seeing workers effectively enforce covid regulations was really refreshing lol. I'm extremely happy with the tattoo and Mika made sure I would be. So I went to Bonaroo on the recommendation of a friend. She originally recommended a specific artist who I didn't end up requesting but I loved the results regardless. After stopping in on a random Sunday I was told there might be space on Thursday for a walk-in. Not knowing what my schedule might be like as I was in town for a short time, I figured I'd play it by ear. After dropping my mom at the airport on Thursday, I stopped by again and booked an appointment with Jared for later that afternoon. I know this tattoo was a walk-in, but it was anything but an random tattoo. It was something that meant a lot to me...to commemorate a difficult period in my life. And Jared did a phenomenal job! Listen, many years ago I was a brave little bee getting holes punched everywhere on my body every other day (it seemed). But it has been a very long time and when the sudden urge to get a double conche hit me out of nowhere, ya girl was NERVOUS. I chose Bonaroo mostly because of its proximity. Barely a mile away from my house and making an appointment for the same day was no problem. It also helped tremendously that when I called to make the appointment, the voice on the other end was friendly and warm and welcoming. Not at all like these negative customer service reviews I'm seeing on this page. Anyway, long story short, I had a fantastic experience for my first foray back into the piercing world at Bonnaroo. My piercer Dylan was amazing and made this entire experience for me that much better. He took his time and was very careful and patient. From helping me pick out the jewelry to positioning the holes and talking me through every single step, he was friendly and fun, but still super professional. And I swear he made it so the piercings didn't even hurt! A couple days later and my new holes are doing fantastic. The area is a little red, but that is to be expected. No crazy bleeding and no pain at all! Bonnaroo is a great little shop off Parker - clean and actually a decent size inside. The piercer was amazing. I was very impressed with her. She pierced my 6 year old after a bad experience at Clair's. I thought my 6 year old would back out but she was so good at calming her nerves and making her feel comfortable. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because their website says it's $120 including the jewelers and we ended up paying about $170 not including the tip. That caught us by surprise. Dylan is seriously the best! I came to him a few weeks ago for a jewelry change, and he told me that my nose piercing had completely closed up without me even knowing. I let the area heal for a little and recently went back so he could re pierce it, and it was such a pleasant experience. My husband and I have had all of our tattoos and piercings (since we've lived here) at Bonaroo Tattoo. We are faithful patrons who have a great gratitude for the artistry involved, and we tip our artists accordingly (50% or more...ALWAYS), especially when they have always accommodated our disabilities. Awhile ago, we called Bonaroo and asked about the new location, the piercer on staff, and other details. Our daughter wanted her ears re-pierced, so we scheduled our appointment online after getting the pertinent details from the staff. We had explained that our daughter has a disability and needed some flexibility and accommodation, which we would happily pay for. Unfortunately, due to Covid, we had to reschedule our appointment for 2:00 today. We called to tell them that we were running a few minutes late, and the piercer told us that she has a five-minute cut-off window and if we arrive late, we still have to pay and forfeit our appointment. If we need to reschedule, we still have to pay. Surely, given our conversation with staff about the need for some accommodation and our history with them, this wouldn't be enforced since we requested extra time (which we planned to pay for) due to our daughter's disability. Maybe the piercer hadn't read the details of the appointment. We arrived at 2:08. We were turned away because we were three minutes passed the cut-off time. Even though we called an hour before, and the piercer knew we were running late, we were turned away. In fact, she said that she only allowed 45 minutes for the appointment and that she was fully booked for the day. (No disability accommodations had been accounted for!!) Basically, I was told that policy trumps everything, including any disability accommodation. We paid our $60, walked out with a very sad little girl who was denied the services we scheduled and agreed to pay for. Years of giving our business solely to Bonaroo only served for them to discriminate against us. We are incredibly loyal customers, but to turn away a child with a disability when accommodations were requested and supposed to be scheduled? Inexcusable. Please reconsider the businesses you support who practice hateful, intolerant, and discriminatory practices. read more

They are all extremely talented, hard working, and truly care about what they do for a living. I worked with Nick Harrington and he was a good choice for me. I'd designed an tattoo to memorialize our deceased son so the symbolism was very important. Nick added his expertise to take my art to a higher level and to make sure it'd work as a long lasting tattoo and his advice and additions really added to my concept. He was kind and professional in explaining his concerns, skilled in his revisions and very, very patient with me. I couldn't be happier with Nick and the results. I called ahead asking if they had any walk ins and they told me to come in about 30 mins and they could get me in, I wanted a triangle on my side, not even filled in, a triangle. as I was walking in the two men outside stopped me and said they were the tattoo artists and they were all booked, as they were sitting there smoking weed. I said okay I called and you said you could get me in and it wouldn't be long since it's just a triangle and they continued saying they were "too busy" and basically told me to leave. No experience with the tattoo part of this parlor, only the piercing. Brought my little brother in to get his tongue pierced. The inside of this place is kind of decrepit. I was hoping for something looking a little more sterile... the guy that did it was really creepy. He seemed to get some sort of enjoyment out of stabbing metal through my brother's tongue. He gave him the option of where he wanted it placed, but proceeded to provide no advice as to how far back most people get it or what have you. The prices were a little higher then I was expecting. The place was a ghost town when I visited. He didn't take him back to a room or anything to do it, he just did it right there in the main part of waiting area up by the counter. read more

I called Bonaroo to verify that they were ok doing a tattoo on a 16 year old with parental consent and they told us to come on in. When we got there, a big hairy dude met with us. He did not ask us any questions about the tattoo. He proceeded to lecture my daughter and I about how tattoos are permanent and she needed to think long and hard about whether getting a tattoo was a good idea. He suggested that it would be hard to get a job with a tattoo on her shoulder... (my mom, grandmas, sister and I are all gainfully employed...) He also told her that her desire to be a tattoo artist someday was stupid because it's hard to make any money. He topped it all off by questioning my judgement as a parent and asking for $100 cash deposit for an appointment next month. Yeah. Ladies, I'd avoid this place if you don't want some gross dude to mansplain your tattoo to you. read more
