The level of detail that Brian provides is top notch. It's really a sight to see the expertise they have. This was my eleven year olds first piercing, so naturally she was nervous. They make sure you're well informed the whole entire time from the piercer letting you know exactly how the whole procedure is going to happen and what he will do to the receptionist walking you through your aftercare sheet. came in on a whim hoping to replace my current piercer, and i think i've found my new favorite piercer. super clean, professional studio with knowledgeable staff. they do check anatomy and make sure you're happy with placement before starting anything. really great experience!! will definitely go back. only downside is you do pay for how nice it is and i left there spending $175 including a tip for a piercing + jewelry and one new piece of jewelry. i'm used to paying $50 per piercing plus however much of a tip i can afford so it was quite the jump in price but definitely worth it. read more

Customer service is severely lacking from the piercer (not the front desk individual). As a small business owner myself I understand that when a client is late it is not always possible to accommodate them, and that, at times, the late fee/cancellation charge will be processed. Consistency and respect should be used, of course. After being let in by the front desk and made to believe the piercing would occur, though I was admittedly 15 minutes late, I was then refuted by the piercer and given a patronizing lecture concerning his craft and the time needed. To be patronizing and downright rude in stating that information is totally not necessary and inappropriate. Especially with 30mins left in my scheduled time slot. I don't know if he was taking out his day on me or if he's just rude to women overall, but I will go back to Certified Customs for my piercings because I don't need to reschedule with rude people. read more

I loved my experience here at Sage Piercing! They were straight forward and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone. Brian walked me through the whole process and kept things sterile. For a person that works in a veterinarian hospital and work with needles all day, I am deathly afraid of needles when it comes to them being used on me. I can tell you that it was not painful for me what so ever! I have not worn earrings in 10+ years because my lobes would always get infected, thanks Claire's. I am a week out and I have not had a single issue with the piercings, of course after care is a huge factor in this too. The very first time I walked into Sage Piercing was 5 years ago. My 9 year old daughter wanted her ears pierced, and I thought I might toss in my own nose piercing...that I'd wanted for ages. I wanted a professional, not a mall shop nail gun. Brian and his staff were not only professional, but extremely respectable. Treated my kid the same way he treated me (my kid is high functioning autistic, so..whether or not he realized it...Brian did a phenomenal job). I've gone back several times to update, replace missing parts or order custom pieces, never to be disappointed. Recently, I had to have an invasive surgery. It required the removal of at least 4 piercings, that I knew I could not put back in myself. I was devastated, and quite frankly a little embarrassed. I had place holders to hold them open, but was reluctant to go back to have them put back in. For 6 months (healing time due to surgery)... I did not feel like myself without them, and couldn't get myself to go back to ask if he could do what I couldn't. Replace the missing pieces. Even though he's always sworn that's part of his business, and he'd always held to that promise (I've always been able to go back and replace missing parts, no questions asked).... I lost a significant piece of me with this particular surgery. And felt an additional loss with my pieces not being able to be put back myself. I had an extremely rare moment this evening, where I had an hour of free time. Called ahead and asked (with this wonderful pandemic era, I thought I'd check first). I was told yes, come in...we can put everything back, no charge. And within half an hour, all was made right.... and a significant conversation had about the importance of how our piercings help to identify who we are, and just how important a particular piece (or many) really has on someone. Thank you to all who work at Sage, especially Brian. You have such a positive impact on this community, and I will never go anywhere else...but will probably order more custom pieces in the future. read more

My young daughter had her ears pierced here. She has had them pierced twice before but they closed up due to factors outside of our control; and the previous times (at two different places) were easy as pie for her. In this case; the piercing took twice as long, Brian (the owner) was extremely impatient and rude to my daughter when she was wincing in pain, and felt the need to comment on her prior ear piercing having been done in the wrong place (though she and I were both happy with it); and MY upper ear piercing being "wrong". My daughter was in a lot of pain, which she had not been the previous two times, and he was insensitive and rude and basically kicked us out after doing one ear because she was crying and "he had other paying customers". I cannot recommend anyone go to a piercing shop that ISNT this one. Brian really hooked me up. First: Every piece of jewelry he has is really gorgeous and he guarantees none of his stuff will infect us. Second: he saw a nose piercing I got from Texas and apologized to me. They had fitted my piercing upside down and that is why it was bothering me. He took it out an reshaped it to fit my nose better with no cost at all. Third: he walked me through the cleaning process of the septum piercing he gave me. I have never been given such through advice on how to clean a piercing and he was so cool about it I can't recommend anyone higher than Brian I look forward to getting more piercings from him. read more

Brian at Sage Piercing was excellent. He talked our 7 year old through every step for her first time getting her ears pierced and she did great! Grateful that Brian charges less than other piercing shops--otherwise I may have felt compelled to head to the mall. But, $80 for a safe, informative, expert piercing was doable for us and a week out, it appears to have been very worth it. The entire process was over in 45 min, by appointment, and the piercing part was just a few minutes of that. What we missed was the potential little girl euphoria at Claire's boutique, and admittedly, our daughter probably would've enjoyed it. But, I have met several little girls who have ended up with infections and holes closing up doing it that way. At Sage Piercing, she got an authentic, skilled, no messing around piercing experience that she could nonetheless feel good about and celebrate (and we did! :-) and learn confidence in making thoughtful choices about her body. read more

Don't take your child to the mall to get their ears pierced! I can't believe that I haven't written a review on Sage piercing before now. I completely meant to. I needed to get my ears repierced because after many years of not wearing earrings the holes had closed up. I realized that I didn't want to go to the mall to have this done because the piercing guns can't be sterilized. After much research, I found that Sage Piercing has the best reviews around. This is for good reason. I scheduled an appointment with Brian and I was so impressed. His studio is extremely clean and all of the piercing tools are taken from autoclaved packages (that means the instruments are sterilized). Brian himself is very knowledgeable and personable. I always felt like I was in good hands. That was in October of 2018. My ears have since healed beautifully. Recently I started thinking that I wanted to get my nose pierced. I love the way it looks, but I was TERRIFIED! I already needed to go into Sage Piercing to buy some earrings (their products are extremely high quality) so I decided that this was the day. Well yes and no...I was extremely nervous about how bad it was going to hurt. Brian talked me down off of the roof and did a beautiful job. He is so good at piercing noses that it barely hurt at all!!! Having my ears pierced hurt way worse. As a cherry on top, they keep juice boxes available for the kids, and candy in dishes. You are going to pay more to get ears pierced here vs. the mall but you get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and have a true professional do your piercings. You won't regret it. read more

We called in the morning to confirm they had walk-in availability for a Saturday, we arrived at 6pm (they close at 8pm) wanting 3 routine ear piercings and we were told to wait in the hall by an incredibly rude lady. We sat in the hall for a full HOUR before being called in only to be told they didn't have time to pierce us. When the girl at the front finally asked us what piercings we wanted she rolled her eyes as we were telling her and then dropped the bomb that they can't fit us in! So incredibly rude and unprofessional. A complete lack of respect for someone's time and not to mention an unsolicited opinion about what piercings we wanted on OUR ears. There were 2 girls waiting ahead of us, so wondering how it could possibly take 2 hours to do 4 piercings. It's clear they don't value walk-in business even though that's their main pitch. read more

Brian is such an amazing piercer. I originally went in looking to get a third set of earlobe piercings after doing my first piercings at claire's (!!) and second piercings at another shop that I wasn't satisfied by. He advised me against thirds because my cartilage came down too far, something I never would've realized. A few weeks later I went back and got a tragus piercing done, incredibly painless and an overall amazing experience that left me feeling happy & informed! About a year later I have now gone back once more to get a double flat piercing, and I couldn't be happier. I waited around in the shop for a while but didn't mind, and when Brian forgot about a previous appointment he offered to discount my piercing for another day, or stay open late to get it done!
