I can't say enough good things about this tattoo shop. Everyone was so kind and friendly, I felt so comfortable being there. Such amazing people who work there! My son who passed away two years ago was an avid skateboarder whose catch phrase was "Don't trip" as in don't worry about it, everything is ok. My son would also break his boards constantly and then hang them on his wall as art. I went in with a general idea of what I wanted, but Owlyn transformed my idea into something truly amazing. It was perfect. Owlyn, with only the knowledge that my son was a skateboarder, designed a broken skateboard in the shape of a heart with "Don't Trip" on the sides. I couldn't be happier.

Stopped in without an appointment and was immediately greeted by Riply at the front desk. She took the time to make sure we saw each artists work and took time to explain the answers to our questions in details. When the tattoo started I was booked with the shop owner William said who's a cool dude who again will explain things to you in detail and make sure that you leave with what you wanted. My friends and I all agree that with all of our tattoo experiences, this has exceeded them all. Great shop will be back.

Fantastic shop. Owlyn is very professional and talented. Very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates high quality work.

I'm from Illinois I was in the area for work & I had an idea for a tattoo & Called every shop in the area Mammoth was the only shop that had an opening, Literally booked an appointment & arrived an hour later, The Artist (who's name I forgot) listened to my idea drew it up & Made it PERFECT , Now if I'm ever in need of another tattoo & I'm in Denver I'm 100% going here! I've gotten alot of compliments on it already! Thanks Mammoth for a kickass time!

I highly recommend checking this shop out. I did a session with DJ Chilcote after seeing his work on Instagram. I genuinely appreciate the fact that he is extremely humble and honest. This was my first large piece and color piece, I feel that I couldn't have chose a better artist to do the work. If you want a clean tattoo that even you'll be shocked looking at every time, he's your man. He educated me on traditional tattoos and some of the more newer age styles that have been coming up, which was rad because it's something you don't really get to chat about that often. I also want to point out that they greeted me and offered me water or coffee. The atmosphere they've created at their shop is something you don't find that often. I appreciate you DJ and mammoth crew! Thanks for a great experience.

Our charity went as a group to get tattoos and everyone was great. Chad organized the whole thing and our entire experience was perfect. Very professional staff, super safe and clean environment and the work was fantastic. Thanks all.

Was in town on vacation and was looking for an artist who specializes in script. That's how I found Ian, however I waited until the last minute to try & book an appointment. Bad idea...luckily for me he was kind enough to come in early the next day to get my tattoo done. I love it! The shop had such a great vibe & everyone we meet was so friendly. Thank you Ian! #SickLines #BradPittIsStillHot

William and his shop are amazing! I went in for a quick consultation and was able to schedule a session with William a week later. He is a super nice guy, knows the neighborhood well, and most importantly did incredible work. 10 days later and things are healing up nicely. Thanks William! Also - the shop is taking COVID very seriously (masks required, 2 people max in one area, hand sanitizer everywhere, etc.), which I really appreciated.

    Immediately after being finished.

Guys. Save yourself the trouble of wondering where to go to get a tattoo in Denver and check these guys out at Mammoth. Flew in for a long weekend trip to see a show at redrocks and visit some friends and wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate my dad while I was here. There are sooo many tattoo shops in the downtown Denver area and I completely lucked out by finding these guys. They have an amazing shop back in a nice neighborhood on 26th st with plenty of parking and an open, friendly vibe. I came as a walk-in, and though there weren't any artists available when I got there, they told me to come back in an hour and they'd get me taken care of. The whole process was low key, and easy. Everyone I met (including the owner who is also a Va native) were chill, friendly, and easy to work with. Eric was the artist that took on my tattoo request and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. Such a nice human, and threw down a song verse consisting of super small text with absolutely zero issues. The other artists in the shop came by as I was getting my tattoo done and complimented him on his work too, and I really love that the other artists were all so stoked at the intricate work he was doing. Just such good vibes all around. I'll definitely try and swing back through the next time I'm in town to get more work done. Thank you guys for an incredible souvenir from this trip to Denver.

Does Mammoth offer piercing? If so, is there a minimum age limit if a parent consents?

The members have been carefully selected and are all accomplished artists in mid to late career. The work shown is always of extemely high quality. The facility was created for previous gallery/studio owners and D'art has made the most of it. The main gallery at the east side of the complex shows work from the 27 member artists plus the occasional outside show. The separate space in the far east corner is the East Gallery which is available for 4-week rentals and shows a variety of work. The other large gallery at the west side is the home of D'art 360, what I would call the associate members. Again, this is used for rotating shows of work by those 30 artists. The adjacent North Gallery has been used lately as a permanent display space with a sample of work by each associate artist. But wait, there's more! Go through a hallway north of the main (east) gallery, past the (nice) restrooms, and you'll find five studio spaces plus the D'art Collection, a curated, permanent gallery of the main co-op members' work. The members of this gallery are serious artists and the work shown is always original and interesting. The prices are reasonable for original work. Their openings are always worth a visit.

For that moment in my personal history, I always take the opportunity to swing through whenever I find myself down that direction for any reason. The gallery that was has long since changed hands a couple of times, yet always attracts some good shows. Over the last several months, I have found myself back at this place twice now as a destination. I haven't done that once for this gallery space in over a decade. Artist-owned and operated as a co-op in this iteration, it seems someone was taking notes. The main showroom is still in the front, with the full windows facing the intersection. There are still private, working studio spaces in the back, but the layout has been shuffled a bit. From the outside, the changes are subtle. They have fixed, open hours from Thursday through Sunday, which is a standout in comparison to other galleries in the area. What was the backdoor entrance and an empty corridor is now utilized as functional space for a satellite gallery. The main gallery and this secondary gallery have representation from co-op members. The range of work offers a wide variety of media and artistic voices. There's a smaller "featured" type gallery off the main gallery, which rotates solo shows. All in all, they've really gotten all they can out of the space, tastefully. So, if you're looking for a place that's not the cramped and crazy of First Friday, get on their mailing list or check their calendar when you're planning a night out. After all, this is the place D'ART.
