A friend and I, along with two other friends walked in to Kitchens' Ink to get some really simple tattoos . Joe and Max were super kind! Max said he was an apprentice but was hyped up and creative in taking on my ghost, and joe was helpful and informative for my friend who got his first tattoo. They were quick and not overpriced. As San Antonio, TX residents I would highly recommend this to any out of towners as it is in very cool place in downtown Denver full of great places to hangout after or before. Nice job guys!

My first tattoo. We were walk in customers and were promptly take care of. The design I chose is a simple heart with an infinity symbol and two small heats inside the larger heart. Black with pink small hearts. $120 for the tattoo. Kind of expensive for this type and size tattoo. My artist was nice. Kind of subdued.

Trust the reviews, Kitchens' Ink is A1. I had an exceptional experience here and based on the outpour of positive reviews on both Yelp and Google, it would appear the vast majority of clients agree. When it comes to something you're going to smack on your body for eternity (unless you want to endure the immense pain and wallet hemorrhaging that accompanies laser removal) you best put some real thought into where you're going to go for ink. I planned a short getaway to Denver and as an early birthday gift to myself, sprung for a new tattoo as part of the trip. After doing some preliminary research on Yelp, I stumbled across Kitchens & decided to further investigate. Initially, I was pleased with the work of all the artists, but narrowed it down to three in particular who I thought would be best suited for my tattoo after browsing their portfolios. I sent an email to Kitchens describing what I wanted, where I wanted it, some reference photos, artists I'd like to work with, and my availability. Within a couple of hours, Rene responded and shortly thereafter we were able to set up an appointment. *I just want to note real quickly how much I appreciated being able to discuss things over email. It allowed me to easily concentrate and thoroughly contemplate my desired tattoo. I know a lot of tattoo novice's get nervous when describing the tat(s) they want, and this is an easy medium of communication that takes that edge off. A week later I was at the shop in person. They're fittingly located in the arts district, and the shop is easy to find as it's right on the main thoroughfare that is Santa Fe Drive. There's by no means an abundance of parking, but it is relatively easy to come by. When I entered the shop, I immediately felt relaxed and comfortable, which is sadly not always the case. Unfortunately, many tattoo shops I've been in have had an omnipresent air of pretentiousness. That could not have been farther from my experience at Kitchens. They provide a safe, CLEAN, relaxed environment that is welcoming to all. Rene is.....an extraordinary artist. I felt like he took my reference photos, and altered them in a collaborative way, fusing his artistic style with my personality. He was receptive, patient, and didn't give me a single ounce of grief when I asked if we could change the location of my tattoo from my leg to my arm. When deciding how to position my tattoo he even went as far as to take into account the curvature of my body and how the tattoo would look in relation. In my humble opinion, that attention to detail separates the good from the great. Rene took artistic liberty, but never in a way that was grandiose or far fetched. His linework is top-notch and he works efficiently. Bonus points because he's genuinely a nice guy, and he was easy to converse with, attentive, and communicative. He comes highly recommended by me, and should I ever find myself needing a tattoo in Denver, he has my loyalty! A final word regarding pricing, because I know it's on everyone's mind. I'm not sure if I've just been frequenting expensive shops or what, but Kitchens' Ink was VERY affordable. Especially considering the impressive quality of the tattoo. It was shockingly reasonable, especially for how well done it was. Definitely a hidden gem if you want quality work, at a price that won't bury you. They conveniently take most credit/debit cards, and as always that cash money, baby! Lots of love to Kitchens Ink. It's one thing to provide a wonderful tattoo, but a top pedigree experience as well? I feel beyond lucky.

The high caliber reputation of this shop is well deserved. Its a nice combo of clean professionalism mixed with honest and upfront character in the setting of elite talent and artistic freedom. I had the pleasure of working with Jessica and cannot say enough about how much she impressed me. While at a pool, I was struck by a couple of incredible tattoos on a stranger. They were so well done, I was inspired to ask where the gal got them. Jessica had done both. I researched a little bit, found her work to be next-level amd well within my design field. I contacted her via the Kitchens Ink website. We discussed a few ideas over email, then I sat for a quick consult. She took some measurements and further assessed my concept and set a date for the session. A few weeks later she shared some design ideas/examples with me for final approval. Then i came in, sat for a few hours and left with a bad ass piece of art that I absolutely love. Everything was done professionally and with great attention to my specific desires and ideas. She listened to what I had to say, why I wanted the particular piece I did, and offered her own artistic contribution amd guidance to the project. I was impressed thoroughly at every step. I endorse her and the shop as a whole fully. Amd I already have plans to add more work down the line. 100 percent satisfied customer. Awesome shop. Awesome artist. Thank you!

My sister, who I have grown incredibly close to over the last few years, recently moved to Denver (I'm in Michigan). We set up a trip for me to come visit & decided we should get sister tattoos while I was out there. Nothing fancy, just something simple. She took a recommendation from a coworker to check out Kitchen's Ink. I let my sister take the reins and plan this since I couldn't contribute much. She started corresponding with Babs via email - which is a HUGE plus to not have to play phone tag with weird work schedules, etc. Babs reserved a time for us during my very short visit & we sent over our idea/design with ease. We showed up, Babs listened to our slight design mods & created something simple yet perfect & clean & dainty (heh, tattoos, dainty) for us. Here's where my real 5-Star review comes from - Babs was SO incredibly patient with me. I have two tattoos, but am a serial fainter, and I made her stop a couple times so I could compose myself... she gave me a simple solution to help me out, and the rest was a breeze. But really... she was super gracious and patient and didn't make me feel like such a dummy for being a wuss. All in all, my sister and I are thrilled with the outcome, and I would absolutely go back for my next tattoo if I'm in Denver for when the time comes for the next one ;) THANK YOU BABS! PLEASE NEVER LEAVE!

I happened to be walking around the art district when I came across this shop. I've been wanting to cover up a hideous, small tattoo that I had done as a teenager. I decided to be spontaneous and walk-in. As luck would have it, they had a tattoo artist that was free (his name escapes me for some reason) and within minutes he had a design for my honu. He was very quick, hygienic, and personable. Being that it was a simple, small cover up tattoo, I was in and out in less than half an hour. The shop itself is clean and has an ample waiting area with comfy seating.

For my first review in Denver as a (very) recent transplant, it felt appropriate to pick a place where I had a wonderful experience. I suppose this also acts as the kick-off to the continuation of my Portland, OR project of getting tattooed at as many different shops as possible. All for the reviews, of course. My partner and I made appointments at Kitchen's Ink to have our complementary (NOT matching!) tattoos done. A key and an escutcheon. (No, *I* got the key. He got the keyhole.) Joe took our relatively vague designs and quickly finished beautiful designs, incorporating some of his own suggestions which he ran by us first, and ultimately made the finished products that much more beautiful. Joe was incredibly pleasant to talk to throughout the process, which is quite a feat when one is being tattooed on the back of the calf. His conversation is easy and fluid, yet he was completely understanding when I had to bury my head in my arms and grit my teeth. He tattooed both of us in under two hours and even gave us a buddy discount on our tattoos, which resulted in a much lower price than I'd anticipated. I'd go back here again and again.

I don't usually review places but I feel obligated to to warn people about Kitchens Ink in hopes that you won't make the permanent mistake that I made in trusting Kitchens Ink. In August 2018 I reached out to kitchens ink to request more information on getting a tattoo cover up. I eventually met with Trent and ask him if he thought he would be able to cover up an arm tattoo. He responded with confidence and said he could easily cover up my tattoo and make it something I'd be proud to show off. This confidence gave me a false comfort so I scheduled an appointment which he required a $110 deposit to hold the time slot. He told me to send him reference material of what I was looking for via email so he could draw stuff up. We came up with a plan to cover up my tattoo with a forest of trees and I also requested a wolf to be the focal point of the tattoo. On the day of my appointment when I showed up Trent had nothing drawn up even though I sent him a lot of reference material about what I was looking for. He also had me double booked another customer walked in and he had to send her to another tattoo artist. (She also paid a deposit) He claimed he did draw a wolf but he said he lost the drawing of the wolf. He insisted it would be best to draw right on my skin for the best cover up. So that's what he did. Instead of being prepared with a drawing when I got there he preceded to waste 2 hours (at $110 dollars an hour) not even tattooing but drawing on my arm with a ball point pen. Instead of a forest of trees he drew the outline of one large awkwardly shaped tree and rather than add definition to the tree he preceded to color it in with a off black color that looks like grease. Once I realized his plan was just to color the whole thing in black I paid him for the little that he did and left with an incomplete tattoo. I was there for 5 hours and paid him $500 before I left (not including the deposit). I immediately was filled with regret when I left thinking "what did I just do to my arm". It's been a little under four years and cost several thousands of dollars of tattoo removal and I am still reminded everyday of the mistake I made in 2016 trusting kitchens ink. I can't wear short sleeve shirts anymore because people pass me and tell me I have grease on my arm and I have to explain that it is a poorly done tattoo. decide for yourself wether you would like to be stuck with this forever. The worst part is the tattoo I was getting covered up has been removed mostly by the laser removal and what's left is the bad cover up. Don't make the same mistake I did and choose not to go to the Kitchens Ink.

Trent did an amazing job! Highly recommend him!

I had been wanting to get a memorial tattoo for my grandfather who passed away earlier this year for quite a while. When I finally decided on what to get I called up Kitchens' Ink and made an appointment to come in and get the tattoo. Kitchens' Ink isn't like most tattoo shops in that it does not have that "cooler than you" vibe coming out of it. It is a great space with friendly and knowledgeable artists. When I arrived for my appointment, I told Trent my ideas and gave him pictures and my grandfather's old police badge to reference. It took him about an hour to literally make my vision for what I wanted appear on paper. He even got my grandfather's signature perfectly! When it came to the actual tattoo, Trent did a fantastic job. He is super professional and it is clear that he knows his stuff. In the end, my tattoo came out better than I would have ever expected. For a piece that means so much to me, I will be forever grateful and will recommend Kitchens' Ink to anyone that is considering a tattoo. I will be returning for all of my future ink.

My sister and I called ahead as we were heading towards Denver from Fraser (1.5 hours away) and we were able to get an unofficial appointment with Jessica. I got a blue Rocky Mountain Columbine done and my sister got a star. It's been eight years since I had a tattoo done and I was nervous about the pain. Jessica was very understanding and we made small talk to get my mind off the pain. She was very quick and did a superb job! My sister let Jessica freestyle her tattoo and it came out really good. It looks like real paint brush strokes which is very fitting as my sister loves to paint. Quick, friendly, and reasonably priced! This made our vacation totally worth it.

Kitchen's Ink is always a blur to me somehow. It must be from all the free wine : ) There is often live music, last time there were cupcakes and I met a writer. Most of the time, Kitchen's Ink is extremely busy when I visit. The last exhibit I saw featured photographic images of naked and slightly androgynous women. The photographs were very well lit. This exhibit was titled, "Deviant Behavior Erotic Art Exhibit." Then, isn't Kitchen's Ink rather liberal in content? Always packed, Kitchen's Ink is a-buzz during First Friday.

I stopped in just to see what kind of artists they had at this shop, I was really impressed with what I saw, especially JAM's work. I showed him the black and white photo (attached) and said I wanted it in color with the people removed and the number changed. He never made me feel intimidated or foolish for wanting something out of the ordinary. He listened to what I wanted and not only did it, but completely blew away my expectations! the amount of detail he put in to my piece is mind blowing, from the refection in the head light, the highlights on the paint and fins to the tiny rivets in the leather, he truly puts his heart and soul in to each piece he does. he was so easy to work with and a great communicator throughout the whole process. it takes a huge amount of trust to let someone put something permanent on your skin and I will be coming back to him for all my future work. JAM, I cant thank you enough for giving me such a perfect piece of art that I can display proudly for the rest of my life.

I got my first tattoo here over the weekend by Jam. Me and my daughter got matching tattoos and it was a very special event for us- we were on a trip from california before she goes off to college. I can understand a few of the comments about the attitudes when we first got there- but it's kind of what I expected from tattoo artists, when chicks come in wanting flowers lol. He warmed up a ton after we started talking and was actually very sweet and funny. We had a great time and he helped make my first tattoo experience a positive one. We came in as drop ins and they got us right in. I had 2 pictures, from which Jam drew the perfect combination of both. I was so nervous I could barely stand but quickly relaxed once we got started. We are so happy with the results! Also they play really cool old school music and the place has a cool vibe and is very clean and hygienic.

He designed a mid to late 60's mustang with florals and a silhouette of my grandpa in the driver's seat. I was in love with the design as soon as he unveiled it. Based on the placement I wanted the piece on my arm I had to lay down in an awkward position, but Matty worked quickly and tattooed delicately. I couldn't be any happier with the finished product! Went in met with him paid the upfront fee and set a date...Welp a few days before my artwork I get a DM saying he doesn't want to do the work...I was sort of devastated to say the least ( If you are reading this it is all good and I have nothing but love and respect for you and I understand). I reached out to Maira and she was amazing...gave me options to pick another artist. I chose Dany and was really impressed by how talented and dedicated he is to his art. Arrived at 11:30 am and left at 10:30 pm... Dany worked his butt off and he put his heart and soul into my piece. It came out AMAZINGLY. I cannot thank and recommend enough Ikonik Tattoo for their love and patience. All of the people that work there are phenomenally talented artists. Don't let their tough exterior fool you once you get to know them they are great people.
