I only have a few tattoos, and usually the ones I have some type of significance. When my grandpa passed a few years ago, I knew I wanted to get something to honor him. He taught me how to drive, owned over 100 cars, and loved driving more than anything, so I figured a car would be a great way to memorialize him. Matty was the artist to bring my idea to life. He designed a mid to late 60's mustang with florals and a silhouette of my grandpa in the driver's seat. I was in love with the design as soon as he unveiled it. Based on the placement I wanted the piece on my arm I had to lay down in an awkward position, but Matty worked quickly and tattooed delicately. I couldn't be any happier with the finished product! As far as the shop is concerned, everyone was super polite. It can be intimidating walking into a tattoo shop, and you can tell they cultivated an environment for all here. Initially, I was concerned that my tattoo didn't look exactly like my friends', and I asked Danny if he could take a look and possibly touch it up. Once the aftercare tape was removed, I could clearly see how great it actually looked. Danny took the time to walk me through everything, explained that he could slightly thicken the wing if I wanted, but was honest about his hesitation--he didn't want to risk affecting the healing or compromising the quality of the tattoo. He even consulted another tattoo artist, who agreed the tattoo was flawless. I truly appreciated Danny's honesty, professionalism, and willingness to put quality over simply making a change because it was requested. Although he was open to doing what I asked, I valued his expert opinion and trusted his judgment, especially since the tattoo was still so new. Danny does exceptional work and is incredibly skilled in fine-line tattooing. I'm very grateful for the time he took with me and for his integrity as an artist. My first tattoo was quoted at 650 dollars and as a heavily tattooed person I expected it to take one to two sessions. It ended up taking four sessions and over a thousand dollars. One of the sessions was never even booked so when I arrived for the third session my artist had no idea it was even happening. I gave the shop another chance for a simple line design, but the appointment started at 11 and when the artist showed up at the same time as me, we didn't start tattooing till 1.5 hours in and I left with only one boob done. I've now spent multiple days driving 5 hours total to this shop, waiting, healing, and now my tattoo that should have been done today is going to take three sessions total. The artist is personable, and I really like him and he's the only reason I was ever going to come back after the first situation but professionalism and respect for clients' time have been major issues and staff clearly could care less about peoples time or money. I personally wouldn't go here but if you feel so inclined id get the cost in writing and make sure that if the artist is slower that they don't charge you for that.

Being that I'm more of the expert on Blade we made minor adjustments and it came out beautifully. We changed some nuances so my art ink was run of the mill Blade. Fun! Despite my best efforts to drive her insane, she was the picture of professionalism throughout our session. She worked with me to ensure I was happy with the piece and it's placement, and answered all of my questions (including the half-dozen times I asked if I was moving too much). After going back to the drawing board twice to make adjustments to the design, Amanda did a beautiful job on my White Rabbit tattoo. Her line work is STUNNING! I will also say that she had a very light touch, and the experience was about as painless as it could be for an hour of needles being jabbed into my skin. Pricing was fair, and the booking process was easy. The shop was clean, and had a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. I used Instagram to find the artist who I found to match my taste and quality. Went in met with him paid the upfront fee and set a date...Welp a few days before my artwork I get a DM saying he doesn't want to do the work...I was sort of devastated to say the least ( If you are reading this it is all good and I have nothing but love and respect for you and I understand). I reached out to Maira and she was amazing...gave me options to pick another artist. I chose Dany and was really impressed by how talented and dedicated he is to his art. Arrived at 11:30 am and left at 10:30 pm... Dany worked his butt off and he put his heart and soul into my piece. It came out AMAZINGLY. I cannot thank and recommend enough Ikonik Tattoo for their love and patience. All of the people that work there are phenomenally talented artists. Don't let their tough exterior fool you once you get to know them they are great people.
