I'm still sitting here as I right this sipping my stand em up coffee and just being content. This place reminds me so much of home. I just don't want to leave. The lady that waited on me reminds me if my grandmother and chatted and enjoyed talking. The food is as good a breakfast as you could want. The southern omelet was my highlight but the pancake was just as good and them biscuits are in last place to nothing. But it's time to move on to the next place. Stopped in Dunn on my way from Georgia to VA and found this place on Yelp. It's close to 95 and all the hotels are on the same road so it's super convenient. There is a bar set up and tables for larger groups. Service was so fast! All the servers were so upbeat and sweet. I ordered my food and received it in about 5 minutes. Everything is priced reasonably and tasted really good. It's kind of like a Waffle House with the menu and how the food looks. read more

We try not to stop at the chains, and we found a winner at Triangle Waffle. What a wonderful breakfast ! The food was delicious. The price was excellent. Only the second time I've been here (even though I've lived in Dunn all of my 43 years). My husband and I arrived around 6 A.M. on Saturday morning so luckily it wasn't as busy at this time of morning; waiting past 8 A.M. to arrive would have been too congested to get a decent table judging by how parked the restaurant parking lot gets every morning. Lots of locals come here for breakfast every day or at least weekly judging by the numerous people who knew the waitress and ordered without needing a menu. The decor/ambiance is nothing to brag about, that's for sure! But the restaurant was clean and tidy and with a sanitation grade of 100, the lack of "frills" is hardly an issue. The food was great, especially the pecan waffle that I ordered but my eggs were undercooked (I had requested them scrambled "hard"). I had to have them reheated in the microwave (waitress stated they couldn't put the eggs back on the grill because I had added seasoning to them already?) but once that was done I was able to consume them and they tasted fine. Bacon was cooked crisp the way that I like and my husband enjoyed his eggs, sausage, and pancakes. Price point was slightly higher than I would have liked considering the amount of food that you get. Cracker Barrel down the street offers more variety at a lower price, in my opinion. Overall, I'd say that the meal was good (pecan waffle is fabulous!) and my husband and I will go back again. Just be warned that it's not a very large place and the parking lot is on the small side. I recommend going EARLY in the morning if it's feasible for you. read more

Even with 50% capacity, we were seated quickly as a family of 5. Our server was kind and our food came out quickly! Everything was good. The kids got the "kids meal" which was a good size for their hungry bellies. Coffee was hot, food was hot, and it is easily located right off the highway! Easy access off and on. When traveling, we like to find independently-owned diners in small towns for our meals, especially breakfast. We found two possibilities online and picked this one. They had billboards and signs making it easy to find and was close to the interstate. The parking lot was packed with locals but we easily found a spot. The coffee was excellent. I'm a French toast person and it is difficult to find good French toast eating out but they didn't have it on the menu - just waffles or pancakes and other breakfast fare. Since reviewers seemed to like the pancakes, hubby and I ordered the same thing - #3 with scrambled, pancakes, country ham, and a side of grits (grits were extra). The grits were creamy. The country ham was very good. Hubby is very picky about his food and said it was very good, that I made a good choice. We both cleaned our plates. I wasn't over the moon about the pancakes - they had good flavor but I didn't like the texture, they were kind of flat and the type that just soak in the syrup. Our server Mary was very pleasant, nice and friendly and kept our coffee filled. Everyone was nice. Overall we enjoyed the breakfast and can't wait to try a waffle next time. read more

The sign says Jesus is Lord underneath. I'm a Christian. I liked that statement. It made me want to go inside. The parking lot was full. The food was good. Restraunt was very clean. Employees were friendly, attentive and timely. I just could not give it a five star because the "butter" & "cheese" on my food wasn't real. I think it was margarine (ugh)... on my waffle. The cheese melted all over my egg was some processed cheese. It felt like plastic. I would think that some establishment that wasn't a chain could use real butter and cheese. It would improve the taste & quality of the food. The silverware was overused. It was clean but flattened by much use. read more

We stopped here for breakfast on our drive to FL. I had a simple bacon and egg sandwich on toast. I have no complaints. It cost about $3 and was very fulfilling and the slices of bacon were thick and very well proportioned. I would love to come back again on our way home to try their other meals. Although Triangle Waffle has good reviews and billboards on 95, it is rarely open. We made a huge detour last Saturday afternoon and it was closed. You'd better call ahead. Why not advertise the hours? So we went to nearby Sagebrush where the service and food were excellent. Our waitress said TW was only open for breakfast. :-( read more

I am a regular local in the area. My wife & I entered the TWH Tue, 10AM, 02/10/15. The Tables were not full. We sat at the first table by the window. The waitress gave us a menu, I responded to her that I new exactly what I wanted. She ignored me and went on giving menus' to the other tables. She took the order of the table beside us, served the drinks and placed their order. I waited more than 10 minutes for her to take my order. I watched the other waitresses as they were idle. one waitress wiped a wall behind the counter,other waitresses gave refills and chated to each other. Our Saturday morning ritual! If you have the opportunity to eat here STOP and eat the pancakes. After eating here, I have stopped making pancakes because they can't (and won't ever) compare! Unless you get there before 8 AM, you will probably have to wait, but it's worth every bite. It is an older establishment, but don't let it fool you. Bad food - e.g. bacon was cool and hardened, presumably from being cooked hours before serving - we left most of it. Table syrup was basically water. Giant globs of fake butter on everything. And so on. The place is quite run down. It is right next to the interstate, and it is cheap. But I'd rather skip a meal than go back. read more
