We just moved to the area from NJ and we're excited to find a classic diner. Sadly we were disappointed. The server was wonderful, especially considering she was cashier, server, and food runner. We waited over 30 minutes for our food - an omelet, sausage, and home fries and toast for one of us and 2 eggs over easy with bacon and homefries with biscuit for the other. When it arrived we got a runny egg omelet, hard burnt sausage, two well done eggs and biscuit was a bit dry. The potatoes and bacon were the only items that were good. Don't expect service and do expect a long wait time for food. I was not welcomed in and the server seemed very upset that we were there and she had to get up from the counter and put her phone down. Every seat in the place had duct tape and a lot of them were broken. I waited 20 minutes on two sandwiches and there was only one other table. No drink refills were offered. They forgot my pickles and my server never came back to see if my food came out right. I had to go get her to cash out. It's been a very long time since I've only left a $2 tip. After driving on 95 northbound all day, hubby and I checked this quaint diner not far from our overnight accommodations. We weren't sure they were actually open because they didn't have many lights on, but decided we were already in front so let's go in, and I'm glad we did. It was after 8 pm and we were afraid it was too close to closing. Unfortunately the buffet bar was emptied out, but we looked over their menu for our choices. I chose a club sandwich with fries and hubby chose a BLT, and because of the good Yelp reviews decided to add some fried okra. All were served promptly. read more

We stopped here while waiting to pick up our furniture. The salesperson suggested we go down to the next exit to grab a bi to eat while waiting. My husband didn't want to drive all around so we seen that there was a diner on exit 75. From the minute we walked in the service was very welcoming and warm. The food was diner food, but I was so excited to get gravy on my fries. Something we don't find near Charleston. We travel with my service dog and we were not stuck with a little table in the corner. We were told to sit anywhere we want. If you are looking for a nice place that's not fast food I highly recommend stopping here. It has a mom and pop feeling. 10/10 rating read more

I'm a truck driver and stopped next door to this restaurant tonight at the Pilot. I decided to give the restaurant a try. Walked over and went into a creepy, dark, and eerily quiet dining room. The waitress never acknowledged me and just stood at the counter playing on her phone. I walked over to check out the buffet and was shocked on how empty it was with the only food available looking like it had been there for half the day. I turned around and walked out. Let me start by saying this was nice and close to the truck stop and the highway was at a stand still right at the exit! The sweet tea was pretty good and the young lady serving me ( the only waitress) kept it full. I ordered the cheeseburger with grilled onions. Three whole rings of onion, not slices, rings!! The meat was pretty good. Lettuce and tomato fresh. The bun was untoasted and got a little messy in the end. The fries had a hint that they could have been fantastic but..... undercooked and soggy. My suggestion is turn up the fryer and got a couple minutes longer on cook time and they will be great. The waitress was great but she didn't exactly have a big rush of customers. They offer a buffet but, it did not have much more than fried chicken and sides and did not look that good. The decor is like an old diner complete with duct tape on the seats. Came here with my family on a drive back from Florida heading up to DC. I highly recommend that you come here to eat. We came here for dinner and we were not disappointed. Is it attached to a gas station? Yes it is Does it look a tad sketchy? Yes it does Is the area safe? I felt comfortable But that doesn't matter, what really matters is that they have amazing food and service. You're going to be so happy eating here. Very convenient to Interstate 95, my kids and I stopped recently for breakfast. We'd never visited the Milestone Diner and found it through an online review service. Impressed with the reviews, we had to try it. The fried tenderloin steak breakfast for me, pancakes for my oldest daughter and an all-day breakfast for my twins. Coffee, water and juice for our beverage. Classic old-style diner with a retro '50's look - place was clean and tidy. Not very busy when we arrived, which was about half way between breakfast and lunch. Ashley was our server. Food was plentiful, hot, tasty, and quickly served. Ashley was very polite and kept our drink cups full. Coffee and water for me - juice for my kids. The waitress was by herself but still- there were 3 tables that were dirty we chose the only table available. Drive in to find the cook and the one server outside the front door smoking. One went in with us, other said "be in in a second folks." Well, thanks! Nice breakfast menu, eggs were good, sausage was ok, but hash browns on one plate weren't done. Asked to put them back on and heard "can try, but these come out of a box and don't really get more done than this." He gave two thumbs up as a starving 16 year old baseball player. My breakfast was the picture perfect diner special. 2 eggs, sunny side up, hash-browns, wheat toast and corn-beef hash. ...yes corn-beef hash. Hello...this little diner just exceeded diner expectations on food. Having fresh corn-beef hash on the menu earned them the "real deal" award... along with the overwhelmingly sweet, attentive and customer focused wait staff. The ambiance of the place was pure diner, they have a buffet, a stool bar and truck stop across the parking lot. Do not judge the place was comfortable and friendly. After a long day out in the triangle, we needed gas on the way home. This diner just so happened to be attached to the gas station that was cheaper, and so we decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you, it looks kinda sketchy, but it was so worth the venture. I had the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, the grits and the homestyle potatoes. The biscuit was amazing. It was so soft and fluffy and it tasted like love. The potatoes were good, but standard, and the grits were very yummy. My husband had the chicken fried steak, fried okra and the fries. He says that was the best chicken fried steak he has ever had. And I will agree that it was very delicious. The okra was fried perfectly and the fries were great. I am only giving four stars, because there was a strange smell by the bathrooms and my husband says the men's restroom was not clean. Food and staff wise, it would definitely get 5 stars. Located on the side of a gas station ambience is not great , diner is dated and not the cleanest place . However very good biscuits and sausage gravy! Side of hash browns and bacon also on point . It has a much more fancy name on the menu which I can't remember, something like "Royal turkey club" or "Marlboro man's turkey club".
