Damn, glad to know as a military retiree I don't have to tolerate employees BS! Upon entering the restaurant to place a carry-out order, I was completely ignored by the employee on duty, who prioritized using her personal cell phone over greeting a customer standing directly in front of her. I picked up a menu myself without any acknowledgment. Moments later, an individual of a different race arrived behind me and was immediately given a highly welcoming greeting. Shortly after, another male customer of a different nationality arrived and was met with the same cold, dismissive treatment that I experienced. After completing her personal cell phone task, the employee finally addressed me, escalating her voice to a commanding, condescending tone. She demanded, "Are you all right?" in a manner meant to dehumanize and mock me. Following this interaction, she turned around to her coworkers and began laughing, seeking their support as if she had successfully demeaned me. Her colleagues witnessed this behavior and failed to correct it. I was targeted, ignored, and spoken to aggressively based on my race and gender. Is this the type of individual YOU would hire? Every PROFESSIONAL business has ethics policies and this conduct clearly constitutes a blatant violation of Waffle House's policies and core values. When there's weak management this is EXPECTED. Absolutely the best Waffle House I have been to. The team is amazing, work well together, always smiling! Kudos to Rose, Lil Bit and Skylar!

I ordered a carry out meal and upon arrival they were finishing bagging my order. The host ask me my name and then the lady bagging my food proceeds to yell my name so that the patrons would listen in. She then ask "did you mean to not tip on your online order". I let it go yet was perplexed by the audacity of this woman to attempt to verbally pressure me to leave a tip when I wasn't dinning in or being served. As she handed me my food she again raised her voice to say my name and say "make sure you tip next time" as her and fellow crew members laughed. I get home and check my food and the woman who wanted the tip couldn't give me the correct silverware (which I was charged for). Let's focus on making sure that we have orders completely right! Alongside that my waffle was severely undercooked but what can you say it's Waffle House. read more

The service was wonderful, the cook needs to learn how to make an over easy egg. Why do Waffle House cooks think over medium is over easy. It isn't just this one. I have a regular Waffle House I attend that finally gets it right. read more

I would only recommend eating her for the cook as she is wonderful. Outside of that - this was an experience. The restaurant was clean and well organized. The food was alright, typical Waffle House. The staff was absolutely terrible (outside of the cook). A gentlemen (who apparently is new) was taking an order from a table when we walked in. We sat down and he looked over at us. There were three women behind the counter - the cook, a waitress, and a third waitress who was clocking out. The third waitress left and the second was standing behind the counter. For ten minutes we sat and she never acknowledged us. She did get herself a drink, rearrange some items behind the counter, and then went and let the male waiter know we were here. As she was telling him a group of young women walked in. The waiter immediately went to take their order. He then put in the order for the women first and then second the order for the table from 10+ minutes ago. My husband stood up and asked the cook how we could place an order. She stopped what she was doing and immediately was very accommodating. She apologized for the other servers and as she was doing so the second waitress decided to take a break. Also as she is taking our order a gentlemen walks in and stands at the cash register to place an order to go. The cook is now working to get out three orders and the male waiter is the only one left on the floor. Another gentlemen walks in about 5 minutes later and the male waiter decides to help this customer instead of the customer who had been standing at the cash register. That gentlemen then walked out pretty irritated as the other gentlemen placed his order. Another young couple walked in and sat at the booth behind us. The male waiter walks up to them and greats them, taking their order. This waiter never spoke to us though he walked by many times. At some point he placed a bottle of syrup on the table but still did not acknowledge us. His general disposition was passive, concerning for older patrons who may not fit his person preferences or customers, and the staff overall did not care about customer service. I am giving 1 star as mentioned earlier the female cook was very nice, apologetic, and carried the entire restaurant for the duration of our visit. read more

My family recently bought a home in Dunn, so we stopped in for breakfast. My sister had already moved here, so we took my nephews to breakfast with us... Skylar was our very sweet, funny, attentive server...she absolutely rocks! She was extremely accommodating and brought us every little thing we needed. There's an ITunes jukebox and she started playing some music, asking everyone for requests which we loved. All of our dishes were really tasty! My parents had full breakfasts, the boys each had something off of the kid's menu, and I had a Texas cheesesteak melt (wasn't in the mood for a standard breakfast). Everything was hot, fresh, and served in a timely manner. Coffee stayed flowing and smiles stayed smiley throughout! Every single person behind the counter said goodbye and thanked us! We will be back again! (I am in the food/hospitality industry and the excellent customer service along with happy & smiling faces makes any ordinary spot extraordinary!) Normal Waffle House food, nothing good or bad there. The service for us specially was crazy slow. We saw others around us get their food even with us being seated 10-15 minutes longer. When my wife and I received our food she was missing bacon and the waffle in which she had to wait an extra 20 minutes to get, most of her food was gone. We asked twice but had to watch to go orders go repeatedly. read more

This review is for this location only. I wanted to treat myself and decided to come to this Waffle House for lunch. I ordered the steak and eggs which comes with a choice of grits or hash browns, and toast. The food in all waffle houses are pretty consistent, very comforting and hearty. The service is what sets this location apart from others. The employees were very friendly and the service was very good. I would gladly return to dine at this location in the future. read more

Not all Waffle Houses are the same and this Waffle House is a great example! I stopped in for a quick bite at the Erwin Waffle House location this week and I was not disappointed. My standard order at any Waffle House is the All Star so that is what I ordered in Erwin. What a heartwarming, delicious meal it was! Just what I needed after my long, exhausting drive. Not sure of the manager's name and I wish I could have gotten to speak with him because he is doing a great job at this location. My eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was crisp as I requested, and my waffle was golden brown. I will definitely visit this Waffle House again really soon! read more

Horrible experience today! I am aware that Waffle House is far from nice and most people that eat there including myself have low expectation for this restaurant due to their track record but I had no clue that it could get this bad. My husband and I walked out without even ordering our food. 1. We walked in and literally stood at the door for 5 minutes without being acknowledged. My husband had to walk up to the counter to ask to be seated and was told to "give me a minute". 2. A worker who "cleaned" a table off for us wiped the table with a filthy dripping wet towel that was brown from filth. 3. The waiter brought us visibly dirty utensils. 4. Our last straw was the waitress getting an attitude with me for asking for plastic utensils (I asked kindly). She yanked the filthy utensils off of the table and walked off mumbling under her breath. This was a great choice this morning. The friendliest people around, makes you feel like home. I came in the mid morning for some coffee and bite to eat. Thy have some of the best coffee that would give the StarB a run for there money. Enjoyed it and was a relaxing way to start the day. I'll be back! read more

When I visited this place, I was just expecting a restaurant that served a bunch of different variations of waffles, but it was much more than that. There were a lot of different types of items on the menu, and what really made this place great is that they're very friendly here. As far as the food, it was pretty good and I felt like I got what I paid for. So if you're looking for breakfast or maybe a burger, don't hesitate to check this place out. I know I'll be back off and on just because I had such a great experience here. If it was just so-so, I wouldn't even bother writing a review. read more
