3.5 stars. They were GREAT to work with over the phone and in person -- personable and flexible. My latest carpet cleaning experience was of the absorbent powder route -- it was so-so -- and I wanted to give a more traditional method a try. I saw the earlier review here, and visited the biz website and decided to give their pet-safe service a try. They arrived on time and handled my staircase and upstairs efficiently, wrapping the job in about an hour. The price even came out lower than the quoted estimate! So the reason for a 3.5-star rating is because I noticed the next day my carpet still had some petty noticeable stains in places. I think this is more the fault of the time of service (around 5pm) and the fact that once the sun goes down, the lighting in our hallway is dungeon-like, so it would have been next to impossible to target the spots. Which is why I didn't even notice they were there until daylight revealed them the following day. I applied our SpotBot machine to those spots, and it cleared them right up. So I have to give the benefit of the doubt to the folks at TCC. I'd just recommend scheduling your cleaning earlier in the day so you can avoid any loss-of-daylight difficulty we faced! Also: I was really impressed that their vacuum suctioned so much moisture out of the carpet. I once had an apartment carpet cleaning done and the carpet was still sopping wet and matted with dog hair two days later. But TCC's cleaning left ours dry enough to walk on that night! read more

HOLY COW!! Jay just came to my house and worked a miracle on an armchair I thought was ruined forever. My husband took it over some months ago and managed to get the arms just filthy. Jay was here for less than an hour and when he was finished the chair looked almost-new again. Before he started he asked me to state my expectations, which frankly weren't very high. He said he would do his best but not to expect perfection. Fair enough. The result was FAR better than my hope. Really fabulous job. And Jay's a nice guy-- friendly, prompt, with a good price. I was not disappointed. 5 stars for easy scheduling, Haley was courteous and professional. Craig who cleaned the carpets was exemplary. He was friendly and very efficient, plus he did a super job. A few days later I got an email asking how my experience was. That was impressive customer service in this day and age of no follow up. February 28, 2019, This the second time I've used Triangle carpet service. Mike came to clean my carpets because I was moving out of a rental property. I was extremely happy with the carpets. This is not a review of their cleaning services (I guess I won't ever know), but of their scheduling. I emailed on 5/24 asking about cleaning of two kilim rugs. That day 5/24, Halley Smith emailed me back asking for more information, which I provided within 7 minutes and confirmed I'd like them to clean our rugs and asking when they could pick them up. On 5/25, I followed up on that email, asking when they could pick up the rugs for a cleaning. That afternoon, Haley Smith again returned my email, this time writing, "As of right now, I am unsure of when we could pick up your rug. I am not sure if we are going to have a pick up day next week or not. We may not be able to pick it up until the week of June 4th. Once we pick it up, it is a 2-3 week turn around time." No problem. I know schedules are hard to manage, and it was the week of Memorial Day. So I waited for a response on it, figuring surely they would get back to me when their schedule permitted. Well now it's July 3. No idea if they ever figured out their scheduling, but they surely never followed up with me. I expected to pay a premium for this service because Triangle Carpet Cleaners was so well spoken of, and would have happily done so for not only this, but my other rugs as well (which I made clear in my inquiries). Guess it just wasn't important enough to warrant a response from them. This was a really frustrating experience in trying to pay for a premium service, and I sincerely hope they're able to iron out their customer care. read more

After having a bad experience with one of those cheap carpet cleaners that advertise on Living Social, I decided to get serious and try a real carpet cleaner. I read a bunch of reviews on Yelp and Google and decided to give Triangle Carpet Cleaners a go. Mike was my cleaner and was incredibly thorough, friendly and honest. He spent just over 3 hours here getting every stain imaginable out of my WHITE carpet. He didn't rush anything and even cleaned our entry rug without me even asking. Well, I just bought my first home. I've never actually paid anyone to clean carpets. My parents always had their own shampooer. However, since someone was living in the home before me, I just felt more at peace knowing that the carpets were cleaned professionally. I read a lot of reviews on yelp and narrowed it down to this service and another service in Cary with good reviews. I originally wanted to use the one in Cary because it was much cheaper, but they were all booked up. Triangle Carpet Cleaners was able to fit me in on the day I wanted, and they showed up on time. I had 2 rooms, a very small hall, and stairs cleaned. The carpets were cleaned very well. He removed all the stains except for a small pink stain. Again, the carpets were not terribly dirty to begin with. Overall, I was happy w/ the job. However, I don't considered them to be large rooms, and the price that he gave me was about $20 more than the price the lady on the phone said it would be for 2 rooms, a small hall and stairs. In addition, when I went to pay in cash- he didn't have change. -___- So I ended up giving him a $12 tip. I'm not used to paying for carpet cleaning, but I had only planned on tipping around $5 dollars or so. Am I a cheapskate? Anyway, I ended up chucking out $32 more than planned (and about $80 more than the place I was originally going to use), but at least my carpets were cleaned on time! read more

Mike is very punctual with appointments and he is so careful with all of the furniture in our home and getting into every nook and cranny. But the best part is that the carpets come out fluffy and looking almost like new. We have 3 teenagers living in the house (which is like the dirt level of 6 dogs :), so the fact that he can get them as clean as he does is nothing short of amazing. They exceeded my expectations, and let me tell you, I am a rough critic! I have 10-year old, light cream carpet, and it has seen a cat and three chocolate labs. I had Zerorez clean them 4 years ago, and was not impressed with the job at all, so I've done it myself a couple times with a made for home model Hoover. We're putting our house on the market, and the pet stains were so bad, we were considering replacing all the carpet. Thank goodness I called Triangle Carpet Cleaners! They did a wonderful job, and cleaned the carpets far beyond my expectations. A couple stains didn't come all the way out, but they are far less noticeable. One of our especially dirty rooms hadn't quite been cleaned to the same level as the rest of the house. I let them know, and they sent someone out within a few hours to make it right. They also explained to me why the staining in that room was particularly pesky, and also that they don't move computers themselves (makes sense). It looks great, and I am a very satisfied customer. The ease and convenience with scheduling was a big plus for me. I was able to organize everything via email; I didn't have to be home while Mike was cleaning, and I paid over the phone with a credit card. Their prices may be higher than other companies, but I think this is an industry where you definitely get where you pay for. I called on a Friday and inquired about getting my carpets cleaned (3 bedrooms, including a larger master bedroom, hallway, and stairs), based on Yelp reviews. Lady on the phone took my information and asked when I would like to have the service done... I told her as soon as possible and she said they could do it Monday! I ended up calling back and switching to Tuesday (worked better for me), but that was still pretty speedy service, I thought. I thought I'd have to schedule a week or two out. Anyways, I scheduled for 3PM Tuesday and at precisely 3PM, my doorbell rang and a polite young man (Trey) was at the door. I showed him the areas I would liked cleaned and pointed out a few soiled areas (I have a dog, so typical pet stuff. Carpet was not heavily soiled, just dingy in a few areas where the dog always lays). He came back with a contract for $195, which I thought was pretty reasonable price based on what I've read online (if you want the service done well, that is... I'm sure you can get it done cheaper with crappy service). Took him about an hour and a half (truck based service). He told me the rugs should be entirely dry in 4-6 hours, and at 3.5 hours later they're just barely damp now. I'd imagine they'll be entirely dry overnight. No chemical smell or other odors at all. Best part is... my cream colored carpets look brand spanking new-- I'm quite pleased. I'd definitely recommend them and will be calling them back the next time my carpets start to look dingy! read more

So the one thing about the cartoon "Family Circus" that really rings true is the little "Not me" ghost kid. He's definitely haunting our house. Because every time I ask one of my three kids "Who spilled something on the carpet/was eating in the living room/left a sucker under the desk/etc. the answer is always "not me". Our neighbor's dog comes by regularly and hoovers up anything edible, we vacuum all the time, but man, after awhile things just get gnarly--spots, stains--forget about taking your shoes off in the house, you want to keep them on! We've done the rent-a-spray route, but I'm busy so we go looking for carpet cleaners. I choose Triangle Carpet Cleaners based on customer reviews and that it's a family owned business--Debbie answered the phone, Jay came out and did the work-- you don't get more family owned than that! They were friendly, fast and were able to give me a quote upfront. They did a great job getting up the stains and the carpet wasn't sopping. (That's very important, I have a friend who did her own, laid down too much water and the under mat molded--not good.) So, sometimes you finally do something, only to want to kick your own @ss for not doing it sooner. This was so much the case with booking a carpet cleaning service. We had done the whole rent- a- machine at a grocery store thing once a year. By the time you rent the machine, buy the carpet shampoo, get it into your car, figure out how to use it, get it back into your car (wet from use), hurry to get it back in the allotted time frame....*sigh* you've spent a lot of money, time, and sweat. We called Triangle Carpet Cleaners based on the great angieslist reviews. We really weren't disappointed. First of all, Jay is just a really nice guy. I don't like people having free reign on my house in any type of situation (paranoia issues I know) but he makes you feel really comfortable. He did a great job of prepping the area (stacking things, putting plastic under furniture, etc.). It didn't take him long, and he got the stains out. The carpet looks fantastic! Triangle Carpet Cleaners are the best!! I have a 6' x 9' wool rug with carved patterns that I have had rolled up in the closet for the past 3yrs. It was heavily stained from when my daughter was younger. She would sit and eat her snacks and often more made it onto the rug than into her mouth. I had also had two dogs and while they had never had any "accidents" on it, they laid on it, slept on it, and tracked dirty paws all over it. So it smelled very strongly of dog. It's an absolutely beautiful rug and fairly expensive so I didn't want to throw it away, but it was far too soiled and smelly to have out. So, hoping for a miracle, I called Triangle Carpet Cleaners after reading all the great reviews. Can I just say I am absolutely amazed at the job they did. My rug is CLEAN!! All the stains are gone and it looks almost new! The colors are bright and clean again. It is completely revitalized and I am so happy to have it in my living room again. The house we moved into had white carpet throughout, and it had a lot of soiled stains on it. When I called Triangle, they were able to set up an appointment for about a week's time out. The day before, they called to confirm the arrangement. Their man Trey came out and looked at what I wanted done, provided a fair and reasonable estimate, and got right to work. This year, we used them in the upstairs of our house that we recently moved into. They are always very quick about getting back to you, which we appreciated as we needed our carpets cleaned ASAP. Amazing service and super friendly too. Triangle Cleaners was punctual and cleaned two of our rugs. Neither had visible "stains," one I either suspected was dingy looking or not how I remember it looking at purchase, boy does it look great now! I couldn't believe how quickly he was able to freshen it up. We moved here from the desert and dust and dirt basically constantly blow all over your life. We had a shag rug in our nursery and it had signs of heavy traffic where we walked frequently (mostly to the changing table). I was not expecting much to be done on a shag rug, but he was able to clean it up real nice and fluff the pile back up. I definitely recommend Triangle Cleaners. Bonus is that they're locally and family owned (I learned that while he was here cleaning) and extremely responsive. I chose this company for their good reviews and for the fact that their cleaning methods are safe for both children and pets. He was lovely to talk to and was respectful of keeping his distance because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He even set up our box fan for me so that the air would circulate around my young son's room and help the carpet dry faster. When I spoke to his receptionist to schedule our visit and later about a timing issue, she was extremely courteous and professional. We provided the square footage, they provided a price based on that square footage. After completing the job they billed for a larger square foot area. No evidence of a different measurement was provided but they did provide us with the fact they can charge more than the quoted price without contacting the customer unless the additional charge exceeds $50. Do yourself a favor and add $50 to their job estimate to avoid any surprises. Their original quote was higher than the competition and their final bill exceeded that. As they say, higher price does not equal higher quality or superior service. Call me a former customer. Update: Jay claims he "Doesn't know where to begin with so many falsehoods" and yet not one was identified. We ordered 10, you put in 12 without consultation. We wanted to pay based on our order of 10 which most customers would deem to be reasonable. What percent of customers pay $20 or more than their estimate? How many extra 20 dollar bills were collected over those thirty years? Like many others, I'm sure you do have an UNBELIEVABLE reputation. Would all agree that is a good thing? A reasonable price does not mean it will more likely than not be equivalent to the quoted price. Would it have been reasonable to charge $20 more up front? Perhaps it would, but demanding more than the quoted and agreed upon price after the work has been completed is not reasonable. If in doubt, there are several government agencies that exist to protect consumers that can explain why that is in simple language if necessary. You are 100% correct in your claim of not upselling this particular customer. Upselling is when someone to tries to persuade a customer to buy a more expensive item or to buy a related additional products. This you did not do. You simply charged more than you indicted you would without prior approval. My review was simply pointing that out to potential customers so they know to keep a few extra bucks on hand when the time comes to pay for your services because your price quotes, like your reputation is simply unbelievable. Per your employee you can charge more than the quoted price without contacting the customer unless the additional charge exceeds $50. I would be happy to provide Yelp with any additional information they deem necessary. Jay's response 6/29: Customers quote, "The carpets look great". This review is so full of falsehoods, that I don't know where to begin. We were mis-informed about the sizes of the rooms, and it is for this reason, we do not guarantee prices until we arrive at the home. They ordered 10 gallons of gas, put in 12, but only wanted to pay for the 10. Ridiculous. They paid $20 more than was estimated over the phone. We have been in business for over 30 years, and have an unbelievable reputation, because we do excellent work, at a reasonable price, and we don't try to up sell our customers. From the moment I spoke with the the representative on the phone for an estimate (very reasonable) until the moment Trey walked out of the house, all was exceptional. Phone service was friendly and Trey, the professional carpet cleaner who came to my home, was even friendlier. He was very respectful of me, my property, and even made nice with my 3 year old - he even showed him the rooms and asked for his approval - so sweet. As far as the actual carpet cleaning goes, let's just say that there have been lots of kitty tummy ache results, the occasional red wine spill, my son with his share of spilled milk and potty-training accidents. Quality work at a fair price! I had initially considering doing a Groupon or Living Social deal for just any carpet cleaning service, figuring, "Aren't they all the same?" I'm so glad I abandoned that idea. Friends from work suggested I give Triangle Carpet Cleaners a try. They were immediately responsive to my email inquiry, very quick to provide a reasonable quote, and arrived on-time and fully prepared to do the work. They answered my questions, gave great advice, and essentially took care of everything that needed to be done (they even move some furniture for you!!) They were fast as well! About an hour and a half for two bedrooms, a hallway, and a staircase. They took extra care to deal with some pet stains/odors and left my carpets in great shape. I can't give 5 stars because I haven't had enough experience with different services to assure you that this is the best one out there. But I am definitely a fan and can't imagine why I would ever need to seek out another firm for this service. I do know that there are some cheaper firms, but in my assessment the savings wouldn't be worth the doubt. Also, love a local firm. read more

Awful experience. The first person I spoke with on the phone, Hailey, was very friendly and helpful. When she went to see if they could meet my timeline of 3 1/2 weeks to pick up, clean, and deliver my Persian carpets she was told they couldn't do it. I told Hailey I was happy to drop off and pick up the rugs and discuss the timeline so she went to get someone to discuss this with me. When the woman, Debbie, got on the phone she was in a big hurry -- almost out of breath -- she didn't even have the time to talk to me about a modified schedule and just said "we are too busy" without even hearing any details of the job. I was very put off by her as I really got the sense that she just didn't care to have the business, nor did she even have the courtesy of discussing anything with me -- just "we are too busy" --- I would advise these folks that, if you are too busy to even provide decent customer service on the phone, you are not the company with whom I would want to do business. Since they quoted between $2.50 - $4.00 per sq. foot to clean the carpets, this was a good chunk of change they let walk out the door with their poor customer service. read more

I called Triangle carpet cleaning and the owner himself came out within 2 hrs and worked and worked to get the stains out. He did a great job--not all of it came out because it had already dried. I cannot begin to tell you how great this company is. I had an appointment for a certain time and had to call the morning of because I had a conflict with the original time and needed to push it back by 15-30 minutes. They were very accommodating. When their cleaner arrived he could not have been more professional. He talked us thru the process and did an amazing job! Our carpet looks almost like brand new. I have berber and it had not been cleaned in 13 years. Filthy!! When it was all done, our house smelled amazing and our carpet looked the same.
