The customer service was amazing. The pick up and delivery was on time and perfect. But the rug looks better than it has in 20 years. They also trimmed the fringe of this rug. It's from my parents and they bought it in 1978 or so. Thank you Caravan for stellar service! read more

Caravan Rugs Cleaning - Corner of the rug in our new house. - Carpet Cleaning Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

I just had 2 rugs delivered that I paid $300+ to have picked up, cleaned and delivered. I asked where the grippers were that were on the rug and was told they weren't responsible. Ok if that is the case they should have told me when they rolled them up to take them to their shop or they should have returned them to me when they dropped off the rug. I asked them to replace them but they wouldn't. I'm a 69 woman with hard wood floors and I am afraid of falling. Second, I let them know there was still a spot on the rug, sent them a photo and he said he would have them return with a spotter. However when i asked him to replace the grippers, too, he refused and said he wouldn't send the guy back either. In the course of the conversation he called me "sweetie" which is rude and patronizing. I told him I've used his company before and my friend currently has expensive rugs there currently. I feel that I need to let her know of my experience. He said I was threatening him. No, this is called a review and telling my friend is a courtesy to my friend. What a shame to have been treated in such a manner. I will not be using their services again. Follow-up to Caravan response: The offer to fix the spot on the carpet was retracted by the owner after I asked about the grippers. Therefore his response is misleading. read more

Caravan Rugs has now cleaned a number of oriental rugs for us, and I could not be more impressed. They just did an antique Aubusson rug with a white background that had numerous stains and were able to remove them even though the rug is 45 years old and had never been cleaned. They also cleaned a large white background oriental that had several stains from our cats, and they were able to remove them all. They do outstanding work on rugs. I cannot recommend them more highly. They are a turn-key company - they pick up the rugs and return them and place them where you want them. The employees are very friendly and helpful. read more

Small but expensive Persian rug "christened" by our dog. Took the rug to these guys (been there before, too...) and they did a great job getting it back to great shape. They know what they're doing, and how to handle these things right. Highly recommended. read more

I had 3 oriental rugs cleaned that had not been cleaned in 5 years. My dogs had peed on them and althoughI spot cleaned them, you could still smell urine. They came back to me with the original vibrant colors and no urine smell at all. I also bought their rug pads and they are high quality and very soft to walk on. I highly recommend Caravan for high end cleaning. The quality of work is amazing and the price is reasonable for the excellent service they provide. And, the staff is phenomenal. read more

Caravan Rugs did an excellent job cleaning our rugs and carpet. They were on time, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We sent a very large hand woven rug away to be cleaned and it was returned in excellent condition and ahead of schedule. The crew moved our furniture on and off the rug when the rug was sent out and returned. They handled our furniture with great care. We will use Caravan Rugs again. read more

Moved into new house, went to unroll a wool kazak rug and discovered moths. Called Caravan and got a price for cleaning and told them I had moths. I asked if I should get my pest service to treat it because it would be covered under my contract. He said no, moths are killed when he washes the rug. Take the rug in, unroll it, he sees moths, measures it and gives me a price. Leave store and he calls in an hour and says he needs to charge for a special powder to treat moths. I complain about the charge, and he tells me of I'm not happy to pick it up. I can't get back out to pick it up so I tell him to go ahead. Pick up the rug and when I get it home it has not been properly washed. It appears they just ran a steamer over the carpet. I call back and ask for a refund so I can have it properly cleaned. He says no, I can bring it back and he can reclean it. No way he's touching my rug. Rug is stored for over a year, rolled up in my LVP floored bonus room. I rearranged the room, prepare to unroll the rug and am surprised to see carpet moths flying about. Major damage has been done to my expensive wool rug. Use this company if you have an inexpensive synthetic but find a better cleaner if you have a wool rug read more

Reasonable, great communication, rugs look new! Happy with them being so close and able to handle pet problems.

Excellent job! I have had my Chinese cut carpet cleaned by regular steaming process, but since they won't extract the water from these kinds of rugs, it was never satisfactory. I finally decided to send it out to be done correctly. I have had a house full of people on this carpet for 29 years and it has never looked as good as this. They advised me to trim the fringe which was old and raggedy and it also looks awesome. With the new pad, it is like a brand new rug. Jason was good to deal with and I appreciate being proud of it when family arrives this holiday season. Thanks to all at Caravan Rugs! read more

If you have an oriental rug, you might want to use another cleaning service that is experienced enough not to run/bleed the colors all over the rug and fringe. As previously stated in another review; the owner Jason is difficult to work, defensive and will gaslight you when you challenge the quality of the services delivered. I had a very expensive oriental rug cleaned by Caravan Rugs Cleaning. I expressed hesitancy to Jason about having it cleaned because it was in exceptional condition but for the fact that it had been in storage as result of our inter-state relocation. Jason assured me they could do a good job. AT NO TIME DID HE EVER DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITY OF THE COLORS RUNNING/BLEEDING. Once he cleaned the rug and the colors bleed into my off-white fringe then he called and said what happened in a nonchalant manner. When I expressed my displeasure he was dismissive and defensive. Bottom line this company DOES NOT have experience or expertise to clean oriental rugs without damaging them. For $350.00 cleaning fee, you can find more courteous rug cleaning services who will test to see if the colors bleed before cleaning the rugs. Unlike Jason, they would even apologize that they did not meet you expectations and acknowledge that they are returning a rug with a fringe that has been damaged as a result of their service. Jason is not competent to clean an oriental rug - just look at the pink color throughout the fringe and the photos don't capture the fullness of the damage. I post this review so you don't regret your decision to use Caravan Rugs Cleaning as much as I do. I will use Phoenix Cleaning Solutions in the future; they are courteous and did an excellent job on my upholstery cleaning. They actually spot check for bleeding before cleaning rugs. read more

We have just had three carpets, cleaned by Caravan, and are totally pleased with the results. Upon close checking of one carpet, we found a small area (approximately 1.5") near the binding that that appeared to be some sort of dried glue or some other substance. We contacted them explaining our findings. The next morning the owner (Jason) came out and remedied the issue. Also, the two gentlemen that picked up and delivered the carpets were very pleasant and friendly. I would recommend Caravan carpet cleaning to anyone looking for a great Carpet Cleaning Service. read more

We recently contacted Caravan Rugs to have a 20 year old rug cleaned. I am not sure where it was made, perhaps India, Turkey or Afganistan. Over the years, the fringe got worn and had unraveled in some places. We were not sure what to do to maintain the quality of the rug. Jason, the owner, suggested a process that involved cutting off the old fringe and restoring it using existing fibers at the rug's edge. We were unsure how this would turn out, but we agreed to go ahead. The result is wonderful. We could not be more happy with our rug, which looks new again. We are delighted with the treatment we received from Jason and his team at Caravan Rugs. They obviously care about customer satisfaction. read more

I cannot give Caravan Rugs even one star but had to in order to post. Please see photo which says it all (left is before, right is after). Upon questioning the cleaning results of my rug, and further doing my own research, I learned that Caravan Rugs does not have a complete cleaning system. Their website reveals this - no wash tub. A wash tub is a necessary component for effective cleaning. The hand cleaning does not cut it - literally! Upon my first contact with the owner, Jason, I was told he would send me a refund check for the full $500 I paid for the cleaning. I took him for his word. Two weeks later, I followed up with him, was told no such refund would be coming. He asked to see the rug and for the opportunity to reclean. I told him the rug was at a local competitor's and though the photo spoke for itself, he was welcome to visit Pettyjohn's for his personal viewing. I told him the trust was gone and without the proper equipment, there was nothing further that his company could do. As a consumer, it is always nice to deal with someone who listens well and is respectful. This was not my experience with Jason. I was hoping to take this to small claims court to get my money back but have learned that the $500 I paid and have asked for, is under the required claim amount. My rug will never be the same. My advice is to do your own research and proceed with caution. I certainly wish I had! read more

I called Caravan and spoke with Jason about having my oriental rugs picked up for cleaning. He was very pleasant to speak with and said someone would be out to get the rugs this past Friday. My doorbell rang about 1:00. I was totally impressed with the two guys who were here for the pickup. They were clean cut, very professional to talk to and didn't hesitate to answer any of my questions. When they left I just stood there for a moment thinking that it was the best experience I have ever had with any company personnel I've invited into my home. Best customer service ever. read more

Fabulous company. We had several area rugs cleaned and are amazed how fabulous they now look! The rugs were picked up at a day and time prearranged and delivered back to us as promised - day and time. I was faced with replacing my nice, wool living room rug after a cleaning gone wrong in the past....furniture stains and a chemical burn was what I was left with...and a little doggie dirt. They moved everything, cleaned it to look like it just came out of the show room, and brought it back and put everything back perfectly. I'll never go anywhere else!! read more

My dog had an accident on my expensive Ethan Allen rug and I tried several times to get it out. It was such a awful yellow stain. I looked online for a rug cleaning company and spoke with several different ones. I then talked to Jason at Caravan Rugs and he told me he thought he could get it out. It was a little pricey, but he explained to me their cleaning process and it would take a couple of weeks. They picked the rug up and brought it back in the 2 week timeframe. When Josh rolled out the rug I was amazed at how great it looked. Not only was the stain completely gone, but the whole rug looked brand new. I would highly recommend them to clean your rugs EChristian read more

I recently had my carpets cleaned as part of maintenance we do every 6 months. I had always used Zerorez but they sort of did a basic job. Heard about Jason with Caravan Rugs Carpet Cleaning from my brother who had just had his done and decided to give it a whirl. Jason scheduled to come out very quickly. He was super friendly and extremely professional. He explained everything he was doing prior to doing so, and then after cleaning the master bedroom, he had me come in and take a look before he kept going. Not only did my carpets look brand-spanking new but it smelled pleasant/not chemical like but a fresh citrus scent. He cleaned all of the rooms and the landing and stairwell. He did a fabulous job as the stairs had a worn look and now look new and fresh. Jason gave us tips for removing stains and how to and not to treat spills, pet stains, etc to protect our carpets. This was outstanding service and deserves all 5 stars however you do get what you pay for. This was one of the most expensive carpet cleanings we have ever had but I was thrilled with the outcome and per Jason, it may be that we do not have to have them cleaned every 6 months with this treatment, it may go for as long as a year which would even out what I was paying before anyway. :) read more
